The layout of a small bath in the country. Bath with your own hands. Projects, photos, drawings and videos. Video example of the construction of a bath from monolithic arbolite

If you want to have a pleasant time at the dacha, then you definitely need a bath. A small do-it-yourself bathhouse built on the site will save both money and square meters, if you do not have much free space for building a bath. This article will discuss how to design and how to build a small bath with your own hands.

Determining the size of a small bath

The size of the bath should be determined depending on the number of people who will regularly visit it at the same time. If your family consists of 2-4 people, then you can get by with the budget version of this building. In this case, the bath will be 6 m long, 2 m high and 2.2 m wide. There should be four separate rooms inside. Each of them will perform its own function, and have certain sizes... So, for example, each room will have a certain size. The width of the bath is 2.2 m, and the length:

  • dressing room 1300 mm;
  • recreation room –2100 mm;
  • shower room - 1000 mm;
  • steam room –1600 mm.

For the steam room and shower room, it will be necessary to perform separate calculations for the area, because shelves should be placed in the steam room, and a pallet in the shower room.

The small sauna must be built in the usual sequence. The construction rules for its construction are no different from those by which the rest of the buildings are erected.

Foundation construction

The construction of each building begins with the construction of the foundation. To determine which foundation to lay as the base of the bath, first determine the quality of the soil on which it will be laid. If the soil is hard enough and dry, then you can build a simplified type of foundation. To do this, lay out flat stones along the marked perimeter. Next, fill the inside of the foundation with similar stones. The slots should be filled with clay and tamped. On top, lay a layer of wood beams, pre-treated with hot bitumen. You may not, in fact, use clay. To do this, you can make a waterproofing layer that will cover the laid out stones.

As a rule, a columnar foundation is predominantly chosen for a bath. For these purposes, you can use stone, ready-made concrete pipes, bricks, or asbestos-concrete pipes, the interior of which is filled with concrete.

Another option is to install the bathhouse on wooden, metal or concrete piles. However, in this situation, it will be necessary to take care of the thermal insulation of the floor.

The strip foundation is the most common and reliable. For its construction, it will be necessary to dig a trench and make a cushion of rubble and wet compacted sand. After that, you should make a knitting of the reinforcement and pour concrete mortar... Roofing material can be used for the waterproofing layer.

If sand predominates in the soil, the groundwater is very high, then for arranging the base of the bath, you should use reinforced concrete structures block type. For a mini-sized bath, it will be enough to use ten such blocks, the dimensions of which are 20 × 20 × 40 cm.

After the foundation is ready, install the frame of the bath house and erect its walls, then the partitions dividing the dressing room. The rest room and shower room should be insulated with a mixture of sawdust and expanded clay. The insulation should be covered with polystyrene sheets, after which the walls should be sheathed with clapboard. To prevent the penetration of rodents into the bath, broken glass can be added to expanded clay. Before laying the lining, you need to carry out heat and vapor insulation, as well as insulate the walls with mineral wool. After that, sheathe them with clapboard.

Make the walls in the shower room made of polystyrene or galvanized steel. These materials are more durable than wooden lining, they better tolerate changes in temperature and moisture.

Water supply and discharge. How to do it right?

If you are equipping a bathhouse for a summer residence, but you do not have a pressure water supply, you can organize a gravity water supply. To do this, you need to build a structure that will consist of:

  • two galvanized tanks (50 l);
  • hose.

A tank with hot water in relation to cold water must be installed half a meter lower. Attach one end of the hose to the bottom of the tank with cold water, and connect the second to the top of the hot water tank. Water circulation will be possible due to the temperature difference in the pipes. To organize the water supply to the shower, the tanks must be connected with a separate pipe. A mixer must be installed at the end of the pipe.

To organize the drainage of water, the installation of sewer pipes is carried out, which will divert wastewater to drain hole dug out and equipped in advance. For fast gravity running, pipes must be laid with a sufficient slope.

Heating system installation

The water in the bath is heated by the stove in the steam room. In addition, a heating element can be used for this, which can be bought in a specialized store.

If you decide to heat water with a stove, then install a U-shaped pipe at the hottest point of the stove and go around the base of the chimney with it. The water supply must be on the body, and the outlet must be 5 cm higher than it.

If you decide to use a heating element to heat water, then install it under a tank with cold water, connecting it to the system with stainless steel pipes and hoses.

Lighting and ventilation device

In a small bath, ventilation is easy to set up. For this on the wall opposite front door, make a hole that is easy to open and close with the flap.

To organize lighting in a small bath, it will be enough to install several halogen lamps with a heat-resistant housing. Use a small transformer to reduce the voltage from 220 to 12 volts. Your small sauna is now ready!

Features of a single street mini-bath

To assemble a bathhouse for one person, you will need to purchase lightweight insulated panels, which are a frame made of beams, sheathed with thin boards. The standard frame size is 185 × 60 cm. This will require a beam with a cross-section of 1–1.5 cm and 3 × 6 cm. To insulate the bath and provide vapor barrier, fill the panels with mineral wool or foam. From the inside, the material is sheathed with a special aluminum foil and plastic film... As for the outside, it is covered with glassine or roofing felt. The panel can be sewn up with clapboard.

In one of the panels, a door should be made, measuring 160 × 60 cm. Install a small window in it, preferably with double glass. The bath must be airtight, the door locks at the bottom and top ensure this. In the lower part of one of the panels, on the side where the heater will be installed, make a ventilation hole with a plug.

To build a single bath, you need to assemble the structure and, most importantly, ensure its heat and waterproofing.

To build a steam room with an area of 1.8 × 1.3 m, 10 panels on the walls and 2 on the roof will be enough. Fill the seams with batting and cover them with wooden planks on both sides. To protect the ceiling from atmospheric precipitation, cover it from the street with a triple layer of roofing material. If you use the bathhouse in the warm season and only, then you should not insulate the floor. If you plan to use the bath all year round, fill in the strip foundation and insulate it. To heat the steam room to 90 ° C, you can use a closed electric stove with a power of 3 kW. Place a metal bucket with stones on the stove and turn it on for a few hours. Then proceed with the bath procedures.

Small indoor sauna

You can also equip a small steam room in the house, for example, in the bathroom. This can be done in two ways. In the first case, you will need to install a removable shelf on two bars. The height from the floor should be no more than one meter. The bars are fixed to the wall with reliable anchors. Above the bathroom, the shelf height should be 400–600 mm.

To climb the shelf, you will need to make several steps or a ladder using rubber feet. Tie the ladder to the shelf with twine. The shelf width should be 600 mm. Such a steam room is heated by an electric stove. It can be installed on a special stand, for example, over a washbasin. Use a metal basin or bucket for the heater, which must be filled with stones and placed on the stove.

Alternatively, make a sit-down steam room on the bathtub. It will be covered with removable wooden shields. The shelf will be used as a seat, and you can lean on the sturdy shields with your feet. To make the room remind you of a bathhouse, sheathe the walls and ceiling above the bathroom with clapboard or install removable shields. They can be installed and removed without much effort. Heating in progress electric stove with a container of hot stones placed on it.

Choose your version of a small bath, plan your actions and get started!

The rules for building a bathhouse are subject to the current sanitary and fire safety standards. Such a structure is presented as general construction requirements, so requirements arising from specific operating conditions. The norms for the construction of a bath in a summer cottage or construction norms on the IZhS site take into account the possible impact on the surrounding nature, ecology and human health. When is it planned to build a bath on garden plot, the norms must be respected in full, otherwise the competent authorities have the right to take appropriate penalties.

Regulatory basis for bath construction

At first glance, it seems that when building a bath (and other useful structures) it is enough to have a suitable area in the summer cottage or near the house and your own desire. However, after the completion of construction, personal interests often conflict with the interests of the state and neighbors, which leads to litigation and fines. In order not to violate the interests of all parties, but to prevent the risk to the environment and health of the owner himself, the regulations, regulating the choice of a place for a bath.

First of all, the norms of any construction on a plot of individual housing construction, a summer cottage or a garden plot must comply with the Urban Planning Code, which regulates the rules for the use of land plots and generally gives the right to appropriate construction. A complete list of standards, taking into account sanitary and fire safety SNiP 30-02-97 is installed for any buildings in garden and backyard plots. The order of implementation of all the rules is determined by the Code of Rules SP 11-106-97. If the owner of the site does not want to have problems after the construction of the building, then he should carefully read these documents.

In addition to the mandatory rules approved at the federal level, there are so-called unwritten rules - the recommendations of specialists. Any construction (including the construction of a bath) must be preceded by a detailed construction plan.

When choosing a site for construction and the location of the building itself, many factors must be taken into account: the structure and characteristics of the soil, climatic conditions, the relief of the site and its dimensions, the convenience of the approach, the presence of reservoirs and vegetation, the presence of other buildings and zones, the frequency of operation, the general design and local traditions. During construction private bath you should take into account the recommendations of the Instructions for the organization of public baths, which will help to deal with the problems of ventilation and the procedure for the mass operation of the building.

What is taken into account when choosing a construction site

The construction of a structure for any purpose begins with the choice of a place for laying the foundation.

Construction norms and rules SNiP 30-02-97 regulate following conditions, which are mandatory for the construction of structures on suburban area or a site within a settlement (IZHS):

  1. The norms for the construction of a bathhouse to a neighboring site take into account the following circumstances: before the beginning of a neighboring site (fence, boundary) - more than 1 m; to a wooden building on a neighboring site - at least 15 m.
  2. The norms for the construction of a bathhouse on its site determine the permissible distances to objects on the same territory: to a residential building - more than 8 m; to the "red line" (street, carriageway) - more than 5 m; to any buildings made of non-combustible materials - 6-11 m; to wooden buildings with non-combustible cladding - 8-12 m; to wooden outbuildings - 11-15 m.
  3. Construction of a bathhouse on the site: rules and regulations regarding natural, protected and vegetation zones provide for minimum distances to such objects: forest - 15 m; natural reservoir - 5 m; vegetation: tall trees - 4 m, trees medium height- 3 m, shrub - 1 m; well with drinking water- 12 m.

In addition to the normative parameters, when choosing the location of the bath, you should also take into account the rules that contribute to the comfortable operation of the institution:

  • you should not choose a place in the lowland and in the zone of spring floods;
  • when choosing a location, you should find the site with the deepest occurrence groundwater;

  • the place should be closed from the prevailing wind direction, and the entrance is oriented to the south, where there is the least accumulation of snow in winter;
  • the bathhouse is located within walking distance from the house, within line of sight, but hidden from unnecessary prying eyes from the street;
  • in the digging area of the foundation pit should not be engineering communications, especially gas lines and electrical cables;
  • when choosing a place, the proximity of the location of the sewerage system, water supply system, electrical network and the presence of a free approach.

Fire safety rules

The most important construction rule is the strictest observance of fire safety standards, since the bathhouse is an object of increased danger in this part. This is primarily due to the presence sauna stove With different system furnaces (solid fuel, electric, gas). In addition to the already listed minimum permissible distances to other objects, it is necessary to take into account a number of fire-prevention measures in the design and construction of the bath itself.

Especially dangerous object a stove is considered, therefore, measures are mainly related to its installation and arrangement of a chimney. In particular, the following parameter is normalized: the outside walls of the furnace should not have a temperature higher than 1300C. Reliable thermal protection must be embedded in the base of the stove, as well as in the area where the bath wall touches the stove. In this case, metal sheets, refractory bricks, ceramics, asbestos fiber of the required thickness are used.

Place on the floor in front of the firebox door a metal sheet not less than 55x75 cm in size. The stock of firewood must be kept at a safe distance. Special requirements are presented for the arrangement of the chimney from the stove. It must go out onto the roof, and its roof top is equipped with a probe that prevents the spread of sparks. On the section of passage through the ceiling and roof, a special pass-through unit must be mounted, which excludes the ignition of the ceiling and roof from smoke. When laying the chimney, safe distances to the bath wall are observed and protective screens are applied.

The safest chimney pipes include sandwich pipes, which have a multilayer design with thermal insulation inside.

Sanitary standards

When building a bath in a suburban area, it is necessary to comply with sanitary norms and rules so as not to harm your own health and the health of others. These standards primarily relate to the safe distance to a drinking well and public open water bodies. In addition, the correct organization of the wastewater collection and disposal system is essential. If there is a centralized sewerage system, the bath drain must be connected to it.

If the suburban area does not have a central sewerage system, then it is equipped with its own drainage system... It can provide for the collection of wastewater in a sealed well, followed by pumping out by sewers or discharge of wastewater into the soil after reliable filtration. Special conditions are met when the site is located in a protected area.

Sanitary rules also apply to the arrangement of the bath itself. In the bath, 2 dangerous areas can be distinguished: the accumulation of harmful emissions from the action of high temperature on the material of the wall cladding and the effect of carbon monoxide. In the latter case, reliable operation of the chimney, its tightness and correct operation of the valves are important.

It is possible to exclude the release of harmful substances only by the right choice. facing materials... That is why chipboard, plastic, coniferous wood should not be used in the steam room. Ventilation is designed to help eliminate harmful effects. Its presence is mandatory in the bath, and its correct operation becomes the key to the health and durability of the bath, as it helps to get rid of dampness and condensation.

When building a bathhouse in a suburban or private area in a rural area, compliance with building codes and regulations is a prerequisite. Only their strict implementation will help get rid of problems with neighbors, various authorities, and also provide safe operation baths.

Requirements and standards for the construction of a bath in a summer cottage

The construction of a bathhouse at a summer cottage must comply with current legislation and established regulations.

The approved federal standards for the construction of a bathhouse at a summer cottage clearly define the permissible distances to various objects, which makes it possible to resolve all disputes of interested parties that arise. After all, the construction of a bathhouse in a summer cottage can affect the interests of neighbors or have a harmful effect on nature and the environment, which must be taken into account when erecting any structure.

What the restrictions are based on

The bathhouse belongs to auxiliary buildings with all the following legal approaches. In accordance with clause 3 of the Urban Planning Code of Russia, the construction of a bathhouse at a summer cottage does not require a separate permit. At the same time, the fact of the appearance of a new structure on the site must be registered with the local authorities in accordance with the established procedure, since it changes the general plan of ownership.

In general, the bath can be attributed to an object of increased danger: the presence of a bath stove and waste water drain increase the risk fire hazard and environmental pollution. In addition, an unpleasant effect can be caused by an incorrect positioning of the chimney.

In order to avoid problems with neighbors and government agencies, the construction of a bathhouse at a summer cottage must comply with the standards approved at the federal level.

An exhaustive list of mandatory standards in terms of sanitary and fire safety is established by SNiP 30-02-97, and the procedure for executing and challenging the fundamental rules is regulated by the Code of Rules SP 11-106-97. Before starting the construction of a bath in a summer cottage, you should carefully read these documents to eliminate problems.

Naturally, in addition to the established standards, there are generally accepted rules, without which construction can become simply dangerous. Any construction should begin with the development of a construction plan based on strength calculations and taking into account numerous influencing factors. When choosing a place for installing a bath and the type of structure (including in terms of the materials used), the following factors should be taken into account:

  • soil parameters (freezing, groundwater level, density);
  • climatic features of the area (temperature, wind, precipitation, seismicity, flood situation);
  • terrain and size of the site, the presence of natural reservoirs and forests;
  • the intensity of the planned operation;
  • proximity to other structures and communication systems;
  • existing landscaping and local traditions.

Regulation of the location of the bath

When determining a place for bath construction it is necessary to take into account possible claims from neighbors. In order to regulate disputes, the following norms are established: the distance from the bath to the border of the neighboring site (fence, border) should be at least 1 m, and the distance from the wooden capital construction for neighbors - more than 15 m. In addition, it is better to agree in advance on the necessary distance from neighboring storage facilities of combustible substances, a garage, a playground, a well and other facilities.

On your own site, you must comply with the established standards to ensure sanitary and fire safety. Violation of standards and on their own territory can be punishable by fines. The following mandatory norms have been established:

  • the bathhouse should be located at least 8 m from the residential building;
  • the minimum permitted distance from the carriageway or street (the so-called red line) - 5 m;
  • the distance to buildings of any purpose, built using only non-combustible materials, should be at least 6-10 m, depending on the type of building;
  • the bathhouse is 8-10 m away from wooden buildings with non-combustible finishing;
  • the bathhouse must be removed by 12-15 m from the wooden buildings for household purposes.

Environmental standards establish the following standards:

  • distance to the forest area - 15 m;
  • distance from natural water bodies - 5 m;
  • it is recommended to remove the bath from tall trees- at least 4 m, from trees of medium height - by 3 m, from shrub plants - by 1 m;
  • if there is a well with drinking water, a bathhouse can be built no closer than 12 m to it.

The choice of a place for the construction of a bath is a responsible event. It should be carried out taking into account practical recommendations that ensure its ease of use. When choosing a construction site, the following recommendations should be taken into account: a bathhouse should not be built in a lowland, especially in case of an unfavorable flood forecast, on a blown-out area; it is better to choose a place within line of sight from a residential building, but with ensuring secrecy from prying eyes, and the entrance to the bath must be built from the south side so that there are no large snowdrifts near it in winter.

How fire and sanitary safety is ensured

Fire safety of a bathhouse at a summer cottage is the most important condition for its construction and operation. In addition to the established standards that regulate safe distances to various objects, it is necessary to take into account a number of fire-prevention measures inside the bath room.

Special precautions must be taken when installing a stove (brick or metal) and installing a chimney. The heating of the outer oven wall should not exceed 135 degrees.

The base of the furnace is made of refractory and heat-resistant materials.

In particular, materials such as steel sheet, asbestos fiber, chamotte, ceramics are laid, and of sufficient thickness. Reliable protection of the area of contact between the bath wall and the stove is provided.

In front of the combustion chamber, a metal sheet must be installed on the floor of the dressing room with a size of at least 60x80 cm.

In order that the construction of the summer cottage does not affect human health and environment, it is necessary to comply with the above standards, arrangement reliable system waste water discharge and use of safe materials in construction. If there is a central sewerage system, the issue is solved simply: the bath drain is connected to the central communication.

In the absence of sewerage, you will have to equip your own system. For this purpose, a sealed collection of wastewater can be equipped with its subsequent removal or discharge into the soil after good filtration.

Sanitary safety during the operation of the bath is ensured correct selection building materials. In particular, foam, glass wool or asbestos should not be used for thermal insulation of the steam room, since when exposed to superheated steam, they can release substances harmful to human health. For the same purpose, it is not recommended to use plastic, chipboard, coniferous wood, materials with fillers for covering the steam room. A prerequisite is to ensure reliable ventilation and chimney valve systems. It should be remembered that carbon monoxide can cause poisoning within 20-25 minutes.

How to locate a bathhouse in a residential area

During construction on the site, the question is always decided where to put the house, how to arrange the bathhouse and other additional buildings. Everything should be not only convenient, but also safe to use.

How to choose a place for a bath

To decide where to locate the bathhouse on the site, you need to carefully study the backyard territory. The natural elevation will significantly save money on the arrangement of the sewerage system. In this case, the used water from the bath will leave by gravity.

V steep slope you can dig a dugout for the main premises of the bath or sauna. Nearby, you can equip a playground for recreation and / or games in the form of a terrace located on pillars.

The natural elevation will significantly save money on the arrangement of the sewerage system

Initially, the site for the bath is chosen according to the nature of the soil. The soil needs to be dense, without unsteadiness, slumping and swelling of the soil masses.

It is necessary to take into account the relief of the site intended for the construction of a bath. It is desirable that it has a slight slope in any direction other than north. In this case, the erected bathhouse will be protected from melt and rainwater during the cold season. Reliable protection bath house from dampness will ensure its construction on a slightly raised area of ground.

It is necessary to take into account the relief of the site intended for the construction of a bath

The bathhouse is best located in a place far from the highway or a nearby industrial plant. This will create protection from dust, noise, polluted air, bad smell and other irritants during rest.

On a note! Additional protection of the site on which the bathhouse will be located will be provided by a blank fence, green spaces or walls of outbuildings located according to the instructions of SNiP.

How to draw up a project

The bathhouse must be built according to a pre-drawn up project. It is necessary to take into account the type and dimensions of the future building. This will help determine how to position the bath on the site. In this case, the following points must be taken into account:

  • site relief;
  • the nature of the soil;
  • the location of the residential building;
  • remoteness from various outbuildings;
  • the location of the walls of the bath relative to the cardinal points.

Particular attention should be paid to the question of how to position the bath to the water supply and sewerage system. Water should flow freely into the bath as needed and removed without problems after use.

The bathhouse must be built according to a pre-drawn up project

Sanitary standards

The requirements of SNiP 30-02-97, which must be strictly observed during the construction of a bath, determine following distances between objects on personal plot:

  • between the bathhouse and the garden house - at least 3 m;
  • between the bathhouse and outbuildings - from 1 to 4 m.

After determining the exact place of construction of the bath, the construction should be agreed with the relevant authorities. A copy of the document must be kept permanently.

Attention! Especially carefully you should take into account the sanitary safety standards, because the bath is being built as an object for the adoption of hygienic and / or treatment-and-prophylactic procedures.

The distance from the border of the adjacent territory for different buildings according to the norms of SNiP should be at least:

  • 3 m - for a country or garden house;
  • 4 m - for outbuildings;
  • 1 m - for a bathhouse and other similar objects;
  • 4 m - for tall trees;
  • 1 m - for a dense bush.

After determining the exact place of construction of the bath, the construction should be agreed with the relevant authorities

When calculating the remoteness of the bath house from the boundaries of the personal plot, one should take into account the location of the residential building and other objects in neighboring plots. This will allow you to take bath procedures and relax without disturbing your neighbors.

Bath types

It is possible to finally decide how to position the bathhouse relative to the house only after determining its type. For a black bath, that is, smoky, you need to choose a place that is at least 12-15 m away from the residential building, outbuildings and the boundaries of the local area. You should also take into account the wind rose in this region. This will help to avoid blowing smoke from the bath towards the house.

A smoke bath is considered an object of increased fire hazard, therefore, such objects are prohibited from erecting in densely populated villages and near planted areas. A white bath, that is, non-smoke, is often located near a residential building. If desired, it can be attached to one of the walls, if such a project is agreed with a specialist.

Combining a non-smoke bath with a country or garden house will do much easier process supplying water to it and sewerage systems... This will save not only time and labor costs, but also significant money.

Combining a non-smoke bath with a country or garden house will make the process of connecting water supply and sewerage systems to it much easier

Choosing where to place the bath, combined with residential building, you should remember about the ventilation and waterproofing system, because the bath is a room with high humidity.

Fire safety

How to locate a bathhouse, a house and other buildings on the site is determined in compliance with fire safety standards. All rules are detailed in the relevant regulations SNiP, which should be carefully studied. This will greatly facilitate the planning process and will help to avoid many problems in the future. Open fires are often used in baths, which creates an increased danger.

The final floor in the bath is usually made of wood. To protect the wood from accidental fire, sheets of asbestos or steel no more than 1.5 m wide are laid on the floor surface around the perimeter of the furnace foundation.

Near a natural reservoir

If there is a body of water on the garden plot, it must be used. The main thing is to figure out how to properly position the bath near natural source water.

A pond or river provides the following benefits:

  • use of natural water in case of problems with the water supply;
  • the ability to carry out water procedures for general hardening;
  • availability of water in large quantities in case of fire safety.

Basic rules to be followed:

  • the place for the bath must be chosen so that it is not flooded during the spring flood;
  • for used water, you need to make a special pipeline in the opposite direction from the river or pond;
  • It is best to plant trees and / or dense bushes around the bath and the path from it to the pond to create a natural protection from prying eyes.

Bath near the pond

If there is no natural reservoir on the site, you can equip a pool near the bathhouse. You can buy it disassembled and install it yourself according to the attached instructions.

If the funds for the purchase finished structure not enough, you can make a pool with your own hands. To do this, you can use a previously purchased rubber boat or other improvised means. If a pool is supposed to be arranged next to the bath, then the minimum depth of the pool should be at least one and a half meters.

Sauna oven

The stove in the bath requires special attention: how to position it correctly, which option is better to choose, and many other issues should be resolved in advance. Subsequently, this will provide comfort when taking bath procedures and good vacation in a properly equipped bath.

The most important condition for the construction of a stove in a bath is compliance with fire safety rules, therefore, it is necessary to equip the stove for separate foundation from non-combustible building materials. Usually concrete or brick is used for this.

The most important condition for the construction of a stove in a bath is compliance with fire safety rules.

During the operation of the bath, the stove can heat up to 120 ° C, therefore, the walls adjacent to it must be protected from fire.

The stove, made of a protected material, is placed at a distance of 26 cm from walls and any other objects. An unprotected oven is equipped with a distance of at least 32 cm to the indicated objects. wooden walls the stove must be removed at least 50 cm.

The individual elements of the oven become very hot during operation. For fire safety, it is necessary to equip a special channel made of asbestos or other non-combustible material.

Important! The door of the combustion compartment, through which firewood is put into the stove, should be located opposite the entrance door to the sauna house at a distance of at least 1.5 m from the nearest element of the sauna.

How to position the stove in the sauna safely? It is mainly located in washing department... At small area baths here a steam room is equipped.

In a spacious room, the steam room and the sink are set up separately. In this case, the stove is laid out so that both compartments can be heated. In this case, the heater for steam generation is placed in the steam room, and the hot water tap is brought out to the washing compartment.

The most optimal option is considered to be the placement of the stove in a special room in the bathhouse or in a small niche between the inner compartments. This will ensure the safety and convenience of using the oven.

If you wish, you can equip the stove at your own discretion, not forgetting about the fire safety standards. V modern baths electric heaters are often used. After installing such a device, grounding is mandatory, otherwise there is a danger of electric shock in high humidity, and this is life-threatening.

In the steam room, the sauna stove is heated to high temperatures. To exclude the possibility of accidental burns, you need to build a brick screen or an envelope-like structure.

Particular attention should be paid to the tightness of the chimney

Chimney features

An important element of the sauna stove is the chimney. It can be made from material such as:

  • brick;
  • ceramics;
  • steel.

Particular attention should be paid to the tightness of the chimney. All of its seams must reliably protect the bathhouse from the ingress of carbon monoxide. Additional safety is provided by ventilation. The fuel combustion process is regulated by a gate. Around the chimney, the ceiling should be sheathed with basalt sheet to protect against accidental fire.

Bathrooms

The parameters of the internal space of the bath are calculated taking into account the number of people washing at the same time. According to GOST standards, 5 m2 of free space is required for 1 person. In a small bathhouse, there is usually no division of space.

If the dimensions allow, it is best to equip 3 compartments in the bath:

  • dressing room;
  • washing room;
  • steam room.

In the washing room, you can put a bath or a small inflatable pool, equip a shower

Comfort, coziness and quality of rest depend on how to correctly arrange the premises in the bath. The necessary bath equipment, fuel, brooms are stored in the dressing room. The locker room is also set up here.

In the washing room, you can put a bath or a small inflatable pool, equip a shower. A mixer for supplying cold and hot water is located in the immediate vicinity of a bath or sink.

Some bath owners put in the washing room washing machine... It is also possible to install a bidet and / or toilet, while protecting against unpleasant odors.

The steam room has always been considered the main room of the bath. A special stove is installed here. In addition, you need to think about how to arrange the shelves, the bath requires a special area for them.

Bath windows and doors

The entrance door of the bathhouse is located in the wall facing the south side of the building. Temperature here all year round usually higher, in winter there will be less snow, and in spring it will melt quickly.

So that more sunlight gets into the bath or sauna, it is better to equip the window in the western and / or south-western wall of the bath

It is necessary to take into account such a moment as fire safety: the door to the bathhouse should be clearly visible from a residential building. This will allow you to control the bath during the heating, in order to immediately correct any accidental problems.

Another important aspect of the planning is the window in the bathhouse, where to place it, will tell the folk experience. In order to get more sunlight into the bath or sauna, it is better to equip the window in the western and / or south-western wall of the bath.

When choosing a place for a future bath, one should also take into account the interests of the owners of adjacent plots - this will help to avoid conflict situations and maintain good relations with neighbors.

The correct location of the bathhouse on the site - the distance from borders and other objects

The correct location of the bath at a distance from the boundaries of the site is one of the main requirements for its construction, since it provides fire and sanitary safety. If the development plan is carried out by the design office, you do not have to worry about meeting all the requirements. But if you decide to start planning the location of the house and the bathhouse on the site yourself, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the information that we will set out later in the article.

Regulatory framework for placing a bath on personal plots

All standards and rules for the construction of baths are designed to ensure the comfort of being inside the premises, as well as its safe operation. If you neglect these attitudes, you can endanger not only your health while in the steam room, but also endanger everyone else.

To understand how to properly position the bathhouse on the site, you will need to study the following regulatory documents:

  • SNiP 30-02-97 Is a document that establishes the rules for the construction and placement of buildings on a personal plot. It must be studied without fail before starting any actions to start construction.
  • SP 11-106-97- contains standards for correct design baths on the site. According to this document, a detailed plan can be drawn up, in which all the technological stages of building a bath can be prescribed and errors can be avoided. In addition, this regulatory act contains instructions on the preparation of conciliation documents and the procedure for their submission to the relevant authorities.

We will provide some excerpts from these documents in detail below.

What are the fire safety standards for the construction of a bath

It is especially important to adhere to fire safety rules in order to protect the bathhouse itself from fire, and also to prevent the death of people. The main attention during the construction of a bath should be given to the stove, since this is a source of high temperatures and open fire... Note that the walls of the oven should not be heated more than up to 120 ºС.

Walls directly adjacent to or near the stove must be insulated in one of the following ways:

  1. Plastering over a metal mesh with sand-cement mortar.
  2. By fixing a sheet of galvanized iron to the refractory wall of the furnace, or by cladding the wall over an insulating material.
  3. When working with wood, the walls can be sheathed with asbestos cardboard.

On the floor directly in front of the firebox, a metal sheet with a size of 50 × 70 cm should be screwed with screws.

In those places where the chimney pipe is in contact with the ceiling, it is necessary to install insulation. In addition, it is best to install a sand trap at the junction of the pipe with the ceiling, which will extinguish any sparks that come from the cracks in the chimney.

It is worth remembering that the chimney cannot be made of iron or asbestos-cement pipes, since these materials are very hot. But coaxial pipes with a double-loop insulator placed inside are quite appropriate.

We should not forget about fire extinguishing means - in the bath they should be located as conveniently as possible for quick use.

Distances between objects on the site according to the norms

Clear standards have been developed that determine how many meters from the fence a bathhouse can be built, as well as how objects should be placed on the site. Failure to comply with these standards can lead to unpleasant litigation with supervisory authorities.

So, the bath must be located at least 3 m from the fence, since the outflow of dirty water must be organized from the bath. If the design provides for a separate septic tank or sewer, the distance can be reduced to 2.5m.

According to other regulations, the indentation should be as follows:

  • the distance from the bathhouse to the neighboring house must be at least 8 meters;
  • if there is a well on the site, then at least 12 m must be retreated from it to the bath in order to avoid contamination of groundwater and, accordingly, water in the well;
  • as for the distance from the bathhouse to the border of the neighboring area, in this case it must be at least 8 meters.

These norms can be followed when designing a bath, taking into account buildings in adjacent territories. In particular, the distance from the bathhouse to the neighbor’s bathhouse must be calculated based on the distance from the fence of 3 m, therefore, it is possible to build no closer than 5 m from the fence.

Another important point is the presence of sunlight. Following the norms, the distance from the bathhouse to the fence of the neighbors should not be less than the height of the building, so that the shadow from the building does not fall on the territory of the adjacent site, so as not to cause discomfort to the neighbors.

If some violations were made during the construction, and the distance between the bathhouse and the house on the neighbor's site does not meet the standards, all disagreements should be confirmed by a written agreement with the neighbors in order to avoid misunderstandings when reselling the property.

Sanitary and hygienic standards for the design and operation of the bath

The norms of sanitary hygiene are very strictly and rigorously adhered to in public places, and in the conditions of home baths they are not followed so carefully.

However, there are also rules for the operation of private baths, in particular, the following:

  1. After each use of the steam room, it must be thoroughly ventilated.
  2. Each person should be located strictly in one chosen place in the steam room. If there are a lot of people, you can use towels or rugs, which need to be washed after the procedure.
  3. After leaving the steam room, you need to wash off the sweat from the body, preferably with warm water.
  4. If you visit someone else's bathhouse, it is better to wear slippers to avoid infection with the fungus.
  5. Upon completion of the bath procedures, all shelves and floors in the steam room must be rinsed with plenty of water.

To facilitate compliance with all hygiene standards, a number of features of the bath can be foreseen even at the design stage.

In order for the steam room to warm up quickly, the stove must be heat-intensive and commensurate with the size of the room in terms of power.

Ventilation outlets should be provided so that the room can be quickly ventilated.

It is impossible to use artificial and floor to decorate the steam room. artificial materials such as plywood, polystyrene, polyurethane foam, antiseptic agents, varnishes and paints.

To facilitate the removal of debris, such as from brooms, loungers should be arranged so that there is access to the floor underneath.

A prerequisite for a steam room is the presence of a drain for water, so that after cleaning it is quickly removed from the room to the outside.

A warm shower can be used as a source of water supply.

It is advisable to study all these subtleties provided for by the project before starting the construction of a bathhouse on the site.

Taking into account the information set forth in the regulatory enactments, and brief excerpts in our material, you can independently build a bathhouse on your territory, ensure compliance with all fire and sanitary safety standards, obtain all permits, and save a good relationship with neighbors on the site.

The distance to the bath is a matter of convenience, safety and peace with neighbors

What should be the distance from the bathhouse to other buildings? Are there any specific recommendations on this? Let's try today to answer these more questions.

Solving a problem with a lot of restrictions

And the following circumstances force us to observe the distances:

  • firstly, the insufficient area of the site itself;
  • secondly, the size of the buildings that you want to get, by all means;
  • thirdly, our appetites, when you want to have everything and it is impossible to give up anything;
  • fourth, the desire to maintain good relations with neighbors;
  • fifth, already hot, the need to link to existing life support networks;
  • well, and, most importantly, sixth, to comply with all the requirements of the Building Norms and Rules, this set under the short name SNiP.

Ways to get out of the situation

The solution of the first three circumstances is entirely up to us:

  1. you just need to know what you want;
  2. be able to prioritize;
  3. be able to give up unnecessary things and face the truth;
  4. to be disciplined and to model schemes for placing objects on your site, fortunately, we have at our disposal a fairly "flexible material", which allows:
  • reduce, if necessary, the house size of the house, and if you want to have a larger area, think about the second and even the third floor;
  • reduce the area of the bath, because very often the most popular size 3 by 5 is suitable, it will allow this structure to fully fulfill all its mental tasks;
  • reschedule communications;
  • make the playground smaller and abandon the pool, which can be replaced with an inflatable and filled temporary one - after all, think, there is a river literally 100 meters from the house;
  • give up raspberry bushes.

In general, you need to think and figure.

But there are no rights without obligations

All of the above decisions relate, rather, to our right to think, but there are responsibilities for the distribution of distances, which are established by the following SNiP:

  • SP 30-02-97 - determines the procedure for planning and effective development of horticultural associations and other private estates, and,
  • SP 11-106-97 - description of the procedure for creating project documentation for the development of private estates and regulation of the approval and approval of this documentation. It is according to this documentation that the nature of the locations of the houses is determined, from which it is calculated minimum distance"A" for a single-row arrangement. Distance "B" in this situation is already secondary.

Consider three options for placement schemes with minimum distances (see also the article "Allowable distance from the bath to the fence: prerequisites and norms").

The first scheme ("A")

Take this scheme as a reference when modeling your site:

  1. from a residential building:
  • to the fence - 3 m minimum;
  • to the bathhouse - 8 m;
  1. from the bath:
  • to the fence - 1 m, so it is possible to solve the question of what should be the minimum distance from the bathhouse to the bathhouse of a neighbor - 2 meters, but this is the minimum that everyone strives to do much more;
  • to the edge of the carriageway of the street - 5 m;

  1. from the well:
  • to the toilet, if, of course, it is on the street - 8 m;
  • before compost pit- also 8 m;
  1. from trees and shrubs:
  • to the fence of a neighboring site, if the tree is large - 4 m;
  • to the neighbor's fence, if the tree is small - 2 m;
  • to the fence from the bush - 1 m.

Second circuit ("B")

Scheme "A" introduces the minimum distances according to SNiP, but in practice they are guided by much large values for the sake of convenience and greater security:

  1. from a residential building:
  • before the bath - 5-8 m;
  • to the greenhouse - 15 m;
  • to the outbuilding - 15m;

  1. from the well:
  • to the bathhouse - 20 m;
  • to the greenhouse - 20 m;
  • to the outbuilding - all the same 20 m.

The third scheme ("C")

Scheme "C" will allow you to have a good relationship with your neighbor.

  • from a residential building - 3 m;
  • from the bathhouse - 1 m;
  • from an outbuilding - 4 m;

It is convenient to consider here not only the permissible minimum distance between baths in neighboring areas, but also all other distances to neighboring objects

  • from bushes - 1 m;
  • from small trees - 2 m;
  • from large bushes - 4 m.

Some nuances

When determining distances, the following nuances must be taken into account:

  • for drainage from the bath, it is recommended to use either a separate sewer canal or a gutter; regardless of what is used, the distance to the fence can be reduced to 2.5 m;
  • the distance from trees is calculated from the center of the trunk; SNiP does not regulate the distance from the crown of the tree, therefore, the overgrown crown that covers the floor of the garden to a neighbor does not fall under legal requirements, only under moral requirements;
  • the given distances for outbuildings and for greenhouses depend on their nature - if the building contains pets, then the distance must be at least 4 meters;
  • The requirements of SNiP also take into account the process of building structures - space is also needed for the placement of building materials, and they should not bring inconvenience to neighbors on the site or on the street.

Useful advice! It is impossible to foresee everything in the rules on paper. Therefore, it is allowed to go beyond the given distances, but this can only be done by drawing up a protocol of consent of all interested parties. We advise you to formalize especially difficult situations legally in order to protect yourself in the future, both from the claims of neighbors and regulatory authorities.

conclusions

Compliance with all the recommended distances between buildings in a suburban area, taking measurements with your own hands is the price of a successful and comfortable stay in the future. When it comes to a bathhouse in which there is a stove, then this is already a question of the safety of all residents and the safety of all property on the site.

Be sure to observe the distances indicated. Pay special attention to the organization of the sewerage system from the main residential building, bathhouse, greenhouse and outbuilding. In case of violations, the SES can already take over you - the sanitary-epidemiological station - a serious organization, which is better "not to put your finger in your mouth, it can bite off your hand."

The additional video in this article will remind you everything key parameters placement of objects in a suburban area. Do not forget to only first stock up on a pen and a notebook for notes - you will not be able to keep everything in your head.

Almost every owner of his own house dreams of a bath. And even if you are not going to build a bath with your own hands, then you must at least understand the variety of bath projects and their little secrets.

Did you know that before building a bath, it is important to orient it to the cardinal points? Usually the door to the bathhouse is located on the south side - in winter the snow melts there earlier and you do not have to often deal with clearing it. But the windows are better placed in the west - in the evening they will have more light, because we usually go to the bathhouse in the evenings.

The bath is built from wood, brick, natural stone or concrete structures... The advantage of wooden baths is that they perfectly keep heat and are built from environmentally friendly material - spruce or pine. For a bathhouse made of wooden beams, additional ventilation is not required. The tree “breathes” well, just install a ventilation grill.

For the construction of a log house, a bath is used winter forest- it is denser and less prone to decay. Do not rush to start a bath when the log house is ready - it should settle for a year, and only then you can start finishing work.

On the initial stage construction, it is necessary to resolve the issue of choosing a place such as a bath. It can be erected as a free-standing structure or attached to a house or other residential building.

Many people believe that combining a bath and a home can add dampness and unpleasant odors to the home. But, if the bath is laid correct waterproofing, ventilation and sewerage, then the above problems should not be.

On the other hand, a bathhouse made as a separate building is more fireproof, and a small veranda near the bathhouse can completely replace your garden gazebo.

Very important point during the construction of a bath, the foundation is laid. The foundation can be tape, columnar or pile. For the construction of a bath with your own hands, the best is a columnar foundation, which consists of concrete piles exposed to a depth of about 1.5 meters. Such a foundation is made of stone, brick or concrete.

To decorate the sauna inside, it is better to use material from such tree species as poplar, alder or aspen, since they have high moisture resistance and low thermal conductivity. We recommend making the floors also of wood, since it does not heat up slightly. But the tree has a tendency to rot, so it is better to make a collapsible floor and ventilate and dry it in the sun at least once a year.

The shelves in the bath may not be very large. The main thing is that you can sit on them freely or lie comfortably. The size of the steam room should be about 6 square meters. m. - so you don't need a lot of firewood to warm up, and it's not cramped. In a proper Russian bath, the air temperature is about 60 degrees, and the humidity is 40%. Compare with a Finnish sauna, where the temperature is 90 degrees and the humidity is 10%.

For building a bath with your own hands, an important point is the choice of a stove for heating the steam room. The "lightness" of the steam depends on the type of oven. A brick oven takes longer to warm up, and should stand for about an hour - but the steam is ideal, light. The iron stove heats up quickly, does not threaten with waste, but the steam is harder.

The stove must be installed on a foundation. In no case should it touch the walls of the bath. Consider the fact that the stove must be positioned so that all the rooms of the bath are heated at once. Ovens with an elongated firebox are very popular today. Such ovens allow heating in the steam room from the dressing room. A good stove distributes heat evenly throughout the bath.

The layout of the bath includes three main premises: a steam room, a shower room and a relaxation room.

In addition to these premises, the bathhouse can include a small outdoor pool, because a bathhouse is not only steam and heat, but also hardening for fresh air... After all, after the steam room it is necessary to close the pores - and this is best done by the cold water of an external reservoir.

If you do not have the opportunity to build a bathhouse from logs, you can choose another construction option from the so-called "wooden bricks".

With this construction, wooden chocks fit into cement mortar like bricks.

So you will not only save on the construction of a bath, but also get a more fire-safe option.

Such a bathhouse looks pretty decent inside, and, in addition, in this way you can easily build such a rare tent-roofed bathhouse.

The layout of the bath will allow you to carefully consider the required functionality from your bath and more accurately predict your costs and labor costs.

The bathhouse is not an easy place, for a long time the bathhouse was rightfully considered a real healer - "In the bathhouse, be born again!" But the bathhouse has its own legends. So in the days of paganism, the Slavs, having heated the baths well and laid out clean clothes there, tightly closed them and left. It was the time when the deceased ancestors soared.

During early Christianity, the bathhouse was considered a suspicious place. It was forbidden to hang icons in the bathhouse and bring bath utensils into the house. After the bath, a person had to douse himself with cold water or plunge into the river - in order to drive away evil spirits from himself. After visiting the bath, it was impossible to go to church, it was a sin to wash on Orthodox holidays, as well as on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Thus, Saturday became a bathing day.

The spirit of the bath - a bathhouse, demanded respect for itself and forbade entering the bathhouse after dark and taking the bathhouse drunk. A big offense was to rush a person steaming in a bath or to leave a child in a bath unattended - they could be dragged away by the bath spirit.

If you are going to build a bathhouse on your summer cottage, we hope that our little tips were useful to you. And the old traditions, which we told you about, will help you not only enjoy visiting the bathhouse, but also be extremely attentive next to the hot stove and steam.
After all, a do-it-yourself bath is a fascinating and useful business, you may be interested in getting to know the modern options for a bath in our video:

A bathhouse in the country is a special philosophy, culture, traditions. Often, the happy owners of suburban land plots begin to ennoble them with the construction of a bathhouse, not a house. In Russia, baths are separate buildings, respectively, they should organically fit into the design of the local area.

Do-it-yourself bath in the country: is the game worth the candle?

The financial issue is the most pressing one. It's one thing if a bathhouse is being built for hygiene and consists of two small rooms - a dressing room and a steam room. In this case, you can save a lot on construction.

It's another matter when a multifunctional bath is being built, as in the photo above - with a steam room, a relaxation room, a plunge pool and a terrace. It is necessary to involve designers, experienced builders in its construction, order natural finishing materials, equip an area for a pool or a hot tub. Such a bathhouse in the country is a luxury that only a few can afford.

But there are always alternative options - these are ready-made baths that are assembled on the site as a designer. There are also mobile saunas ready for use on the very first day. In this case, relaxation and pleasure for little money are guaranteed to summer residents.

How to build a bathhouse in the country with your own hands: estimate

Any construction starts with calculating costs. Professionals advise adding 25-30 percent to the amount received, so that unpleasant surprises do not arise during construction.

For summer residents who attract professionals to the arrangement of the bath, the service will cost about 20 thousand dollars. For this money, you will receive a facility with a steam room, shower, a small relaxation room and a swimming pool. Connection of communications is also included in the price.

By excluding the pool from the project, customers will save 2-3 thousand dollars and get a bath of the same design as in the diagram below.

It is clear that a turnkey bath involves the use of modern technologies and reduces construction time. But these advantages are unlikely to outweigh the unbearable amounts in the estimate, since almost half of the amount (if not most of it) is the remuneration of builders.

Self-construction requires 3-4 times longer, but costs less. How much is cheaper? To do this, you need to draw up a list of works and calculate their cost.

The estimated cost must include:

  • Typical project. You can order it from a specialized company or from a designer-individual entrepreneur. In the second case, the project will cost less - about 10-12 thousand rubles.
  • Foundation. The costs for it depend on the type of base and the size of the bath. A strip or columnar foundation for a bath 4x5 m or a little more will cost, on average, 60 thousand rubles. But if you buy cement and other materials in the low season, you can save 10-15 thousand.
  • Log house - most expensive position . Of course, summer residents can choose other materials for the construction of walls, but wooden baths are considered the most useful, originally Russian. The construction of walls will cost about 250-300 thousand rubles.
  • Roof. A high-quality roof will cost summer residents about 100 thousand rubles.
  • Communications. This includes the laying of a stove for heating a bath, electrical wiring, installation of water supply, installation of windows and doorways... Again, the amount depends on the cost of the components, but you can keep within 200 thousand rubles.
  • On average, building a bathhouse with your own hands will cost 600-650 thousand rubles. This is twice as cheap as professional construction, but it is still expensive for many summer residents, while ready-made mobile baths can be purchased for 120-200 thousand rubles.

    O mobile baths let's talk below, but for now let's dwell on stationary structures and their types.

    How to make a bath with your own hands: drawings, project

    Building traditional bath at the summer cottage begins with design and drawings. Any design engineer will take an interest in the material that will be used in construction. The type of foundation, load on the soil, and other characteristics depend on his choice.

    Brick bath

    Such baths are warm, look beautiful, suit any landscape design, but building them with your own hands, without experience, will not work. And the cost of a brick bath cannot be called cheap.

    Block bath

    Foam block, gas block and other block materials are inexpensive. The disadvantage is that these materials quickly absorb moisture - the problem is solved by a waterproofing device. Again, knowledge and experience in construction is needed.

    Bath made of polycarbonate

    A budget building that can be used for its intended purpose only in the warm season. But for the construction of such a bath, it is not necessary to fill the foundation, to erect a fixed roof - everything is much simpler. How such a bath looks like can be seen in the photo below.

    Wooden baths

    The log house is a classic. Such baths are warm, useful, durable, and inexpensive if you approach their construction competently.

    The classic sauna consists of 4 rooms:

    • Terrace or changing room (dressing room).
    • Restroom.
    • Shower room.
    • Steam room.

    Here are several projects of baths of different sizes:

    If the area of the site allows, you can expand the bath at the expense of the veranda, as in the following drawing.

    If space and funds allow, you can equip a hot tub or pool. Some summer residents take the pool out onto the terrace.

    If there is no roof or a small terrace, you can cover it with polycarbonate. This approach expands the functionality of the bath and reduces the cost of the project, because polycarbonate is cheaper than the construction of walls, floors and roofs.

    It is not necessary to install a stationary pool - you can get by with a frame pool by installing it outside.

    The video recorded step by step technology building a pretty bath with your own hands. This is a structure measuring 3x4 meters, erected from a wooden bar with a section of 150x150 mm.

    What an inexpensive bath looks like: photo

    Inexpensive baths do not look as luxurious as objects built according to exclusive project. Strong side budget buildings - simplicity and functionality.

    1.Compact sauna in a section, consists of a dressing room and a steam room.

    2. Nice structure of a semicircular shape. Inside there is a dressing room and a steam room with a wood-burning stove.

    3. In order to save space, the stove can be installed in the steam room itself or outside it. In the photos below, you can see both options.

    Simple and cheap mini-bath

    The simplest version of the bath is a 2x3 meter building, which has a steam room and a changing room. Two adults can take a steam bath in comfort. For the dressing room, a meter-wide segment is enough, and the remaining two meters - for the steam room.

    An alternative option is to finish building a canopy on columnar foundation and equip a dressing room in it.

    The next step is the foundation, it must be strong and durable. Perfect option for stationary summer cottages - strip base.

    While the finished foundation hardens, summer residents can prepare the timber for strapping and building walls, so that then quickly connect the logs into a single whole.

    After the walls are ready, you can proceed to the installation of the floor. When installing the floor in the steam room, it is necessary to withstand the slopes so that the water flows into the drain.

    The floor is laid in several stages, the order is as follows:

    1. Tamp down the soil and spread the hydro-barrier.
    2. Fill up the inner space with expanded clay.
    3. Lay logs for the floor.
    4. 4. Lay down mineral wool or foam between the lags.

    Sew up space wooden planks close.

    A single-pitched roof is suitable for a small bathhouse - the supports for it are made of the same wooden beam as the vertical supports of the frame, and are attached with metal corners. A crate is mounted on them, and a tile or other is mounted on it. decorative coating... The ceiling is hemmed inside edged board, closely combined with each other

    You can make a stove in a bath with your own hands, attract specialists to the masonry, or buy a ready-made model. Ready ovens there are two types - wood and electric.

    Wood-burning stoves and fireplace stoves are used in a traditional Russian wood-fired sauna - to maintain the temperature, you need to periodically throw logs into the firebox. A chimney for the removal of combustion products is required.

    Electric ovens are compact, equipped with thermostats to maintain a given temperature, and are available in various capacities and designs. They are easier to use, but wet steam in such a bath will not work.

    Barrel-bath under the order

    We left the most comfortable and low-cost option for summer residents for the final. These are barrels-baths or barrels-saunas, as they are otherwise called.

    They look stylish, they are initially equipped with wood or electric stoves, and for their installation you do not need to fill in a reinforced foundation.

    The barrels are placed on a cemented or cobbled area. The supporting legs, which are supplied with the bath, give it stability.

    Inside the barrel-bath there is a steam room with sun loungers, a dressing room. Sizes vary according to customer preference. The barrel diameter can vary from 2.5 to 5 meters.

    The 5-meter buildings have a built-in shower and a recreation room. The manufacturer initially provides outlets for connection to a central water supply.

    For the manufacture of barrels, coniferous types of wood are used - from the inside and outside, boards and beams are treated with special varnishes that protect the wood from decay and deformation.

    The roofing in the barrel saunas is made of shingles. The tiles are laid on a layer of moisture-resistant plywood.

    The barrel baths contain ventilation system- it is built into partitions, there is a possibility of its regulation. Drains for excess water are located under the floor drains. This design allows moisture and condensation to be quickly removed.

    The advantage of double barrels is that you can buy them for 180-210 thousand rubles, i.e. 3 times cheaper than building a mini-bath with your own hands.

    And, of course, they win with mobility. At the end summer season The bathhouse can be transported to a city house or taken on a trip with it.

    Light steam and good mood are guaranteed to you even on the road.

    The bathhouse is very popular in our country. There is even an opinion that it is a purely Russian invention. Although there are plenty of versions about who the real founder of steam rooms is. The main thing is that, due to its functionality and usefulness, the bath is considered a desirable object of many owners of suburban areas.

    With a wide variety of modern building materials, build good bath for giving to everyone. You just need to have free time, have basic building skills and know the nuances of its construction.

    Bath project

    Before the dream of your own bath becomes a reality, it is necessary to go through an extremely important stage building design. Drawing up a project allows you to translate all your wishes on paper, makes it possible to take into account many nuances: from the location of the building to the interior decoration of the steam room.

    Project development is a responsible event, it is better to entrust it to professionals, whose experience will help organize the entire process the best way... Previously, it makes sense to look through the network a lot of photos of baths built on various sites and in a peculiar style. This will make it easier to choose your own original design.

    The size of the bath directly depends on its location in the summer cottage. The solution to this issue depends on safety standards and specific rules for the placement of buildings on the territory of the dacha. They are recorded in the relevant documents that need to be found.

    According to fire safety rules, the bathhouse must be located on the side of the site opposite to the house. You cannot erect it next to the neighbors' bathhouse, if they have one built.

    There are summer cottages with access to a river or lake. The bathhouse will look great on their banks, and this location is ideal for a quick refreshment when leaving the steam room.

    Material for construction

    When the design phase is complete, it's time to pick construction material for the realization of the conceived. It all depends on financial capabilities. The bath can be built from a block, brick or wood.

    Block and brick baths are relatively inexpensive buildings with certain advantages and disadvantages. Such a bath is easier to maintain, its service life is quite long.

    However, in terms of heat-saving characteristics and indoor atmosphere, it is inferior to wooden counterparts. Therefore, many are of the opinion that a real bathhouse is a log house and in any case should be built of wood.
