How to close the joints. How to seal the seams between the slabs on the ceiling: quick elimination of the defect. Features of laying laminate panels

How to close up or close the joint

Regardless of what kind of ceiling is installed in the apartment - stretch, plasterboard, it is pasted over with tiles or wallpaper, or simply painted to make it look complete, you must perform finishing touch- arrange the joint.

The gap at the junction of the ceiling to the wall looks untidy, and the structure itself is unfinished. Therefore, it is necessary to choose a way to decorate this area so that it does not get out of the general composition.

Joint design methods

Having perfectly flat surfaces of the walls and ceiling, additional design of the joint may not be required if it does not imply style solution premises when molding is simply necessary to maintain a special atmosphere. If not, then the joint looks natural and even, forming a clear right angle without gaps.

Sometimes, with a perfectly even butt joint, in order to create an optical illusion and "raise" the ceiling, the upper part of the wall is painted.

If there are even small gaps, the use of special camouflage devices will be required at the junction. The instructions for the use of which usually consist in simple manipulations and do not require special skills and tools, so this work can be easily done with your own hands.

Stretch ceiling masking tape

The joint between the wall and the ceiling made of stretch fabric is masked with a PVC plug in the form of a special profile or insert (read more). The junction of several levels and the place where the structure adjoins the wall becomes finished and neat appearance.

To do this, you need to place the plug in the baguette slot, where, during the installation of the canvas, the and, or profile, is inserted. When flooded from above, such an insert is easily removed, the canvas is dismantled and the water is drained, and then the product is installed in place.

There are several types of plugs for stretch ceilings:

  1. For a neat connection of the stretch fabric and a few curved walls, an L-type wall elastic profile is installed in their direction;

  1. To design the joint of a stretch canvas with a tiled or porcelain stoneware wall, use plugs T-type... In this case, the color of the product can be chosen to match the ceiling or in contrast;
  2. If it is necessary to combine canvases of different color and texture, use a profile that differs from the shape of the baguette. In this case, the plug, masking such a profile, is fixed in a different way than described earlier.

A wide decorative collar is used for contrasting colors, creating a clear, visible border between the ceiling and walls.

Usually black or white inserts are used. White canvas is the most common due to the fact that the price for it is less, and universal White color allows you to visually increase the height of the room.

With the help of a white edging, they mask the gap of the light canvas and the same wall. And with the help of black, the border between the two planes will be emphasized. You can choose a colored plug to match the ceiling or wall.

Due to the fact that during manufacture PVC tapes stacked in bobbins of 100 meters or more, in the store you can buy products of the required length.

Fabric cord

The use of a thick twisted fabric cord is an alternative solution when the question arises of how to form a gap between the stretch fabric and the wall. The product is pressed into the baguette slot.

With the help of this decorative element the transition between ceiling and wall can be accentuated, drawing attention to the structure, thanks to the expressive appearance of the cord. It looks especially impressive in combination with satin and fabric canvases.

Important! It is necessary to achieve tight contact of the cord with the wall and the edge of the stretch ceiling. If necessary, it can be "planted" on a sealant, but this will create difficulties if you need to temporarily remove the product.

One of the advantages of the edging cord is its flexibility, which allows you to design curved elements of the suspension structure. And a wide choice color solutions and textures allows you to choose the design for any interior. Such a cord will look especially organic against the background of fabric wallpaper.

Fabric cords are single-colored and multi-colored, consisting of several shades with embossed braiding. They can have metallic threads or rubber streaks as decorative inserts.

You can choose products with a pattern of the required theme. For a rich classic interior, you can use lurex cords - imitation of silver or gold threads.

Ceiling molding

You can give a complete look to the ceiling - a stretch one, made of plasterboard or a simple one, painted white, with the help of moldings that have long become familiar. They may have different width, material of manufacture, color and texture.

A wide range of products offered by manufacturers of ceiling decoration allows you to choose elements for decoration in any interior.

The term "molding" means various elements stucco moldings for decorating the ceiling and walls. For the overlay profile, decorating the joint, use the name "ceiling molding", "plinth" or "curb".

The material for the manufacture of such products can be:

  1. Wood;
  2. Polyurethane;
  3. Polystyrene;
  4. Natural gypsum.

Wooden moldings

With the help, you can give the room respectability. This finish is appropriate for classic interiors, as well as where wooden suspended or false ceilings are arranged.

The price for such products depends on the type of wood that went into their manufacture. For skirting boards in the middle price segment, spruce, poplar or alder are used. Products made from oak, yew or mahogany are expensive.

The advantages of wooden skirting boards include the following:

  1. Thanks to natural origin, natural beauty and ideal environmental performance, wooden skirting boards can be used in residential premises;
  2. Natural wood can be treated with wood stain, varnish, enriching its natural pattern and shade, or painted in any color with paint;
  3. If you paint the molding in the same color as the walls, then the ceiling will visually become higher, and the room will acquire additional volume;
  4. The space can be made compact by painting the plinth in the same color as the ceiling.

Important! Special skills are required to properly install the wood molding.

Styrofoam molding

Foam molding is the most budget option registration of the joint between the wall and the ceiling. These products are simple to work with, they are lightweight and can be easily cut with ordinary scissors. But you should be careful not to accidentally damage the foam border, as it is quite fragile.

The disadvantage of this material, like wood, which was discussed above, is flammability.

Polystyrene molding

Manufactured by extrusion method... Such products are distinguished by clear relief and have an even matte surface. Such products are harder and more durable than their foam counterparts.

One of positive qualities this material is its affordable cost.

The advantage of this material is that it does not contribute to the maintenance and spread of fire. Polystyrene is also easy to work with, easy to cut, but more resistant to mechanical stress.

Polyurethane molding

The polyurethane skirting board is practical to use, it can be painted, and due to the presence of rubber in the composition, this material can bend without losing its integrity, which makes it possible to use it for the design of semicircular structures.

Such borders can have a smooth, even surface or patterned, with a clear pattern and maximum detailing of small elements.

Of the positive qualities of the material, the following can be noted:

  1. Environmental friendliness;
  2. Products do not have a specific smell;
  3. The material is non-flammable;
  4. Products are lightweight;
  5. The material is easy to install;
  6. Have a pre-primed white surface, which, if desired, can be painted in any color. This distributes the paint evenly.

Gypsum molding

Gypsum moldings, which are also used to decorate the ceiling in the places of its transition to the wall, can be considered an exclusive type of decoration.

Not only because all parts are manufactured by hand and have a high cost, but also due to some unique properties gypsum:

  1. Being natural material, gypsum and products made from it are 100% environmentally friendly. They do not emit toxins and do not cause allergies;
  2. Gypsum is absolutely fireproof material;
  3. Gypsum does not conduct electricity;

  1. Not afraid of temperature changes;
  2. Gypsum is a hygroscopic material. From the air, it takes away excess moisture, and if there is a lack of it, it gives it back;
  3. Each piece is unique as it is created by hand. This allows you to make moldings of the required, sometimes non-standard shape and width;

  1. Drawing and relief, created with his own hand, can have an accurate drawing of volumetric small details;
  2. With the help of gypsum cornices, you can successfully mask not only the joint between the wall and the ceiling, but also arrange it favorably different kinds technical holes, pipes, electrical wiring;
  3. The finish is monolithic, seamless.

Gypsum stucco molding can be stained, patinated, acquiring an aged appearance, it can be covered with gilding.

The video in this article will tell you how to arrange the joint between the ceiling and the wall.

Today, laminate flooring is the most relevant and demanded floor covering, which is used in almost all rooms and premises.

However, using it in rooms such as a hallway or kitchen is not entirely practical and advisable. For such rooms the best option will ceramic tile... However, laminate flooring in the kitchen can be used in the dining area and the rest of the room is tiled. And here the question arises: how to close the joint between the tile and the laminate (see video below)?

In order for the joint to look neat and beautiful, it must be properly hidden. Keep in mind that the tiles and differ in thickness. Therefore, they must be laid out on the same level in order to get a smooth transition. Do not forget to leave a distance of 0.5 cm between the laminate and the tile so that the tree can expand or contract from different temperatures and humidity, while not being damaged or swollen.

Installation of sills

The most convenient and most popular way to seal the joint between tiles and laminate is to install sills. Using the same technology, you can close any joints. floor materials, for example: between tiles and tiles. Today you are offered huge selection sills. They are different in material: plastic sills, wooden sills, metal or aluminum sills, etc. different types and flowers. Let's take a closer look at the most popular ones.

Wooden sills

Wooden sills are the most popular, as well as environmentally friendly and the most beautiful. They are perfect for laminate flooring. This can even be seen from the photo. However, with all this, they are inferior in flexibility to plastic sills. And therefore they are not used with a wave-like joint. I would also like to note that wooden sills are whimsical to use and require special care.

Plastic nut

For a wavy joint, a plastic nut is perfect. They have been on the market relatively recently, but they quickly became popular and in demand. The lugs bend well, taking the desired shape and protecting the joint from dust and dirt.

Metal nut

If you want to use more durable material for the nut, then choose metal. Metal sills are perfect for any interior, as you can choose the desired color of the material from the variety on the market. The metal door sill can be chosen in the color of the laminate or tiles, and you can also consider the color option of any interior elements and thereby emphasize the design. If there is a situation where the laminate and tiles lie on different levels, then in this case you can use a multilevel metal sill, which will help smooth out the difference.

Aluminum and rubber sills

Aluminum sills are used mainly for smooth joints. And for undulating joints, rubber sills are better suited. will not be difficult. This work can be done by hand and in just a few minutes. Just remember to leave 0.5 cm between the materials. To fix the nut, it is necessary to pre-make holes in the screed for the screws. They are usually sold complete with a nut. It is enough to fasten the nut with screws to make it motionless.

Fastening the sills

It happens that there are no screws in the kit. In this case, the sill between the tile and the laminate can be fixed in a different way. You need to fill the gap right away silicone sealant so that dust and moisture do not enter the slot. As a fastening of the sills, you can use the fastening rails, which are screwed to the screed with self-tapping screws. It is on the fastening strips that the laminate and tile sill is then attached. Alternatively, you can use liquid nails.

Flexible sill or molding

To close undulating joints various materials you can also use a flexible nut. It is installed on a plastic profile with bulges, with which it is fixed above the floor covering. Additional fixing with screws is required. To make the molding more flexible, before installing it, it is worth lowering the sill to warm water for about 20-30 minutes.

Why use sills and moldings

A gutter or molding is needed to close the joint between the tile and the laminate and give it an attractive appearance. The sills also prevent dust and moisture from entering, which will save your laminate from the inside. The splines also hide the narrowing and widening of the laminate. It also allows you to zone the space.

Doesn't require any special skills. Laminate board - inexpensive and reliable coverage that fits into almost any interior. The only thing that needs to be done when installing the laminate is to close up the joints. Since the basis of the laminate is fiberboard, when moisture gets under the panel, it swells and deforms. Required condition when installing laminate boards, this is the sealing of joints. In this case, it is important than to close the joints of the laminate.

Sealant for processing

A sealant is a special gel with which seams, gaps and joints are treated. At the same time, there is no gluing of the joints, which is a big plus when you need to replace the panel.

It is best to choose a sealant that contains silicone. This silicone-based product has very good performance properties:

  • reliability;
  • long service life;
  • the possibility of using a hermetic agent at any temperature conditions.

In addition to silicone, the composition of the sealed gel includes the following components:

  • additives: quartz flour, chalk;
  • antifungal substances;
  • dyes;
  • and substances that reduce the viscosity of the gel.

If the question is about how to seal the joints flooring from a laminate board, solved, now it is necessary to prepare tools and materials for their processing.

Tools and materials

Before using the sealant, you must read the instructions for use. If the sealant is used in residential premises, carefully examine its composition for the presence of harmful chemical components.

  1. Silicone based sealant.
  2. Rubber hammer.
  3. Ruler, pencil.
  4. Electric jigsaw.
  5. Retainer.
  6. Spacer wedges.

Before starting the installation of the laminate flooring, it is necessary to carefully prepare the floor on which the laminate panels will be laid. The smoother the base, the less time it will take to process the joints.

Features of laying laminate panels

  1. The substrate for installing the laminate flooring must be dry, clean and even. Surface drops should not exceed 3‒5 mm per meter. Otherwise, the locking joints of the panels will quickly loosen and become unusable, which will require additional time and material costs for dismantling and installing the laminate.
  2. If the differences in the base are more than 5 mm per meter, it is advisable to make a new screed and only then lay the laminate panels. The flat surface of the base will allow the underlay to be properly laid out under the laminate in order to protect the flooring from moisture.
  3. The first row of panels must be laid out with a deformation gap of 8 mm. Such a gap should be maintained around the entire perimeter of the room using spacer wedges. This is done so that the laminate, when the temperature environment in the apartment (room) changes, "breathes" and moisture does not accumulate under it.
  4. When assembling the panels, it is necessary to coat the joints with an airtight agent. Excess gel must be carefully removed with a sponge or wet cloth. All other panels are mounted in the same way. After finishing laying the laminate, all interlocks will be sealed.
  5. The gaps that remain in doorway, can be decorated with elements such as a skirting board or a sill. How to grease the joints between the laminate and the skirting board? The same silicone-based sealant gel can be used.
  6. If the laminate board fits:
    • with linoleum - close the seams with a plastic sill;
    • with tiles - close the seams with an aluminum sill;
    • with a stone surface - it is advisable to close the joints with cork plates.

  1. Silicone based sealant will not bond laminate flooring. The gel prevents excess moisture from penetrating under the floor covering, therefore, if necessary, you can easily replace several panels.
  2. If an expensive high-quality laminate is used for the flooring, then there is no need to apply a sealant. The joints of such a laminate have already been treated with a water-repellent agent.
  3. If an underfloor heating system is installed in the living space, then adhesive laminate cannot be used. Since this coating is not separable, and in the event of a breakdown of the underfloor heating system, you will have to remove the entire laminate. And this means that it will take time to lay a new floor covering and there will be material costs for the purchase of new laminate panels.
  4. It is necessary to lay laminate flooring along doors, windows or verandas, that is, along natural source Sveta. Otherwise, the drop shadow will accentuate the panel joints, which will make the room less aesthetic. If there are several windows in the room, then the installation should be started from a large window diagonally. This method is more costly, but the most effective.

Video

This video shows how to install a skirting board with different types mountings:

And this video is dedicated to the installation of a flexible profile:

Any suspended ceiling, and the tensioner is no exception, after the installation is completed it needs decorative finishing around the perimeter. In places where the ceiling meets the wall, a gap remains. For different suspended structures their preferred options are applied, how to close this gap and give the structure a complete look. Stretch ceiling- the system is universal, since it is possible to use both a special skirting board and a traditional one decorative profile under any ceiling.

Therefore, there are two options for how to arrange the joint between the ceiling and the wall: use a special skirting board (quick installation) or spend time and effort creating an exquisite finish.

Using stubs

A special skirting board for installation on a stretch ceiling is practical option... It will hide the gap between the two surfaces, but the frame itself will not stand out. This option is distinguished by its simplicity and laconic finish. Externally, the ceiling will simply fit snugly against the wall.

Important! If the customer does not receive any wishes regarding the design of the perimeter, then the masters themselves offer to install such a plinth on the stretch ceiling.

If the stretch ceiling is single-level, and it was installed in a room in an ordinary apartment, then either an F-shaped plinth or an L-shaped one is used. The latter is also called the parietal corner.

V large rooms they also use a dividing profile with a dividing plug. This skirting board differs from others in that it has a symmetrical profile: two locks and two shelves that overlap the canvas on both sides of the joint.

The L-shaped skirting board has one edge with hooks, which is inserted into the power profile of the strapping. It is made from soft varieties plastic, so it is flexible and allows you to design the joint along a curved line.

The F-shaped skirting board is rigid and is installed on flat surfaces, mainly tile or drywall. Due to its rigidity, it keeps a straight line well, which is important for the overall impression of a neat framing.

It will take the owner a few minutes to install such a plinth. The corner is inserted into the profile with the fastening rib and pushed with pressure. To do this, use a blunt spatula.

In addition to quick installation, this skirting board has a number of other advantages:

  • Multiple dismantling without damaging the skirting board itself and finishing materials. If you need to remove the canvas, the plinth can be easily removed from the groove and reinserted.
  • The soft L-shaped skirting board will hide the joint in curved structures.
  • Of all the options, this is the cheapest material.
  • A laconic design can be the most harmonious solution for a minimalist interior, where curly decorative details are not welcome.

An equally colorful assortment of decorative plugs is produced for a wide palette of fabric and film materials. This is not done out of an excess of imagination, but because it is advisable to select a plug of the same color for any canvas. The fact is that on a long span decorative ribbon gives a wave, no matter how hard the master tries to align it. The plinth of the same tone will mark only the even edge of the ceiling, and the wave will not be noticeable.

It is important to choose the right plinth for the installed carrier molding. There are plugs that are used only for baguettes of the harpoon system, for others, the fastening ribs are designed for the baguette of the wedge mounting technology. There is a difference between caps for aluminum and plastic moldings. Therefore, returning to the previous recommendation, rely on the installer. If you have to buy a masking tape yourself, then take a piece of the supporting profile with you in order to find a suitable skirting board in the store.

Video how the decorative plug is fixed:

The quality of the wall finish plays an important role when choosing a baguette for a stretch ceiling. If they are uneven, then it is better to refuse from the standard masking tape and use a wide baseboard made of polyurethane or foam.

Decorative baguettes

The decorative plinth is chosen by those owners for whom the stretched canvas does not mean the end of the design work ceiling space... In this case, the skirting board not only hides the joint, but also performs an important decorative function... Although it can be installed right next to the ceiling, it is more often installed with an understatement. The stretch ceiling looks much more spectacular with illumination, and lamps are mounted in this niche.

Of all the variety of forms, the win-win will be even plinth extruded type. A smooth baguette blends harmoniously with the glossy surface of the film in any setting. A skirting board with imitation of decorative stucco molding requires a balanced approach, taking into account the style of the rest of the interior.

Under tension cloth use any polyurethane or polystyrene moldings, but with some installation features. Since the skirting board cannot be glued to the film or fabric, it is attached with only one side to a vertical surface. Hence, some of the nuances regarding the selection and installation of decorative moldings:

  • If the perimeter of the room is even, then it is better to use a lightweight foam baseboard. It is glued to acrylic liquid nails or regular finishing putty.
  • For structures with curved lines, polyurethane is taken, since it bends well. But this material is heavy, so special attention is paid to the preparation of the surface of the base and the right choice glue for mounting.
  • To hold the baguette firmly, choose a profile with a vertically elongated section and a wide mounting shelf.
  • The wallpaper is glued after installing the baguette, carefully trimming them with a wide spatula.
  • When mounted close to the film, a small gap is still left so that the canvas does not slam on the plinth during vibration.

The disadvantages associated with the complexity of the installation are obvious:

  • Even in rectangular room with an even perimeter, you will need to trim the baguette in four corners, and not everyone succeeds in doing this neatly. Even experienced craftsmen use a miter box for this.

  • You will have to deal with putty or acrylic adhesives. To make the plinth monolithic, the joint in the corners and the cracks are closed.
  • The plinth is painted several times. If the first layer is easy to perform, then when finishing painting the glued baguette, you need to try not to stain the canvas.

Important! Removing the skirting board and not damaging it will not work. If it is necessary to dismantle the canvas, the baguette is torn off and after installing the film in place, a new one is bought.

If you wish, you can install plaster stucco molding. In this case it comes about creating a whole composition of cornice type using elements of pilasters, curly moldings, columns. Such decorations are used to decorate complex multilevel structures, with a combined finish.

Wooden skirting boards are installed only in rooms with wood trim, where other materials are inappropriate.

Decorative braid

V Lately appeared new way decoration of the ceiling contour with a decorative cord. This element will not only hide the joint between the vertical and horizontal planes, clearly separate the canvas and the vertical surface, but will also become a bright detail that requires a special style in the rest of the interior.

According to the texture, the braid can be braided and twisted. It is installed in the same way as plastic skirting board: pressed into the profile groove. But at the same time, it is necessary to control the straightness of the edging, therefore, a long rule is used on straight sections, and on curved sections they rely on an eye and patience.

On sale there are the following types of decorative cord for installation in a stretch ceiling:

  • Cord with woven core. For elasticity, rubber veins are woven into the threads. Due to this, with an uneven indentation, the cord tends to straighten, thereby helping the master to get a straight edging.
  • With metal amplifier. Allows you to get a smooth bend on curved lines.
  • Cord with one-color braiding or with multi-colored threads.

As a rule, at the same time, there are always garlands in the interior, picturesque ornaments inherent in the classic, empire, and baroque styles.

Expansion joints between ceiling tiles are among the most difficult surface defects. For decades, people have struggled with this problem, but cracks reappeared due to building shrinkage and seasonal ground movements. The construction market offers to solve this question installation of a hinged structure that will hide all defects. However, only a few can afford such an expensive purchase, and the dimensions of the room are not always suitable. How to seal the seams between the tiles on the ceiling to forget about this problem forever?

To prevent the ceiling seams from being visible, you need to carry out a number of finishing activities using special means... But first, you need to prepare the surface for work - remove the old coating. It is also worth ridding the joints of cement and lime.

Thorough priming can only be carried out on a dry, cleaned ceiling.

In the process of work, you can not proceed to applying the next layer until the previous one dries. This important nuance which should be observed. Otherwise, the quality of the work performed will suffer.

How to patch ceiling joints between slabs: a quick way to get rid of large cracks

If as finishing material wallpaper or fabric will be used for the ceiling, then you can seal the seam between the plates using construction foam and putties. It's simple and quick way, which is most often used in the presence of wide and deep cracks.

If further plans include full alignment and painting of the ceiling, it is better to use a better method of sealing the seam.

Otherwise, after a while, the surface will have to be decorated again. Since on the ceiling in the places of grouting, rustic stains can form, which the paint cannot be hidden.

The seam bridging process is divided into several stages:

  • First, the crack is expanded with a perforator. For this work, it is better to use the special spatula that is included in the kit.
  • Next, the seam is cleaned with a construction knife. Then - coating the crack with a deep penetration primer. This stage of work is best done using a thick paint brush.
  • After that, the seam is filled with polyurethane foam using a construction gun. After 30 minutes of drying, a cut is made. excess material so that it turns out Smooth surface... For best results, use a utility knife.
  • Next, the primer is mixed from dry building mixture, with which the seam is then carefully covered with a spatula. This should be done with confident rubbing movements so that the putty enters all the voids of the foam.
  • After 30 - 40 minutes, a second layer of the prepared mixture is applied using a wide spatula.

Similarly, it is better to close all holes that are on the surface. Including the places where pipes enter the ceiling, if any. After the holes and cracks have dried up, prime and putty the entire surface of the ceiling.

How to close the seams on the ceiling: preparing the surface for painting

This method is great for eliminating small cracks on the surface for which whitewashing or painting has been chosen. The quality of the work performed will directly depend on the time that was given to dry each layer. So to get perfect ceiling, it is important to follow the instructions exactly.

Seam sealing is carried out in several stages:

  • The first step is to expand the crack and clean it. Then the seam should be primed and left to dry completely for 12 hours.
  • Then you can move on to the putty. For this job it is better to use plaster of paris, which in a small amount must be diluted to a liquid state with PVA glue. It should be remembered that you can only work with this material for a few minutes.
  • The diluted mixture should be placed on an auxiliary spatula and rubbed into the seam. After the crack is closed, the protruding part of the solidifying material must be carefully removed, thereby leveling it with the ceiling surface. Then the seam should be covered and left to dry completely for 12 hours.

Another excellent putty option is a diluted cement-based tile adhesive. The use of this material almost completely eliminates the likelihood of a crack along a closed seam.

The final stage will be gluing a special painting net on the seam, which is then covered with a finishing putty along the entire length. The final layer should be left to dry completely for 12 hours. After this time has elapsed, you can proceed to the finishing putty of the entire ceiling and subsequent finishing.

The joint between the wall and the ceiling: methods of sealing

Another common problem is the presence of a crack between the wall and ceiling. Such a defect is an obstacle to quality finishes premises and spoils the entire appearance of the room.

There are several materials that can be used to seal the joint between the wall and the ceiling:

  • Polyurethane foam;
  • Gypsum solution;
  • Synthetic putty;
  • Moisture resistant putty.

The most practical and convenient to use is polyurethane foam... When dry, this material expands, filling all the voids between the ceiling and the wall.

Large joints can be closed with a reinforcing mesh, which must be placed in the resulting cracks. Cotton (or linen) cloth soaked in adhesive solution, which is placed over the joint. The final stage, regardless of the selected material, will be the imposition of a layer of plaster, which will consolidate the result.

What to do if joints are visible on the ceiling: final surface alignment

After completing the crack closure work, proceed with the final leveling of the surface. This is done using abrasive mixtures.

The ideal surface will be obtained if you use non-woven fabric. It should be glued to the ceiling before the final putty. This material helps to remove minor irregularities, allowing you to get a smooth ceiling.

After applying the finishing putty, the surface should be primed one last time. After the work has been done, you can give the ceiling any color by applying paint with a spray gun.

Professional advice: how to seal the seams between the slabs on the ceiling (video)

Seams between ceiling tiles are a long-standing problem that today can be easily solved using special materials and compositions. Picking up suitable option, one should be guided by the size of the crack and desired way further surface finishing. Get the perfect ceiling without hinged structures really. The main thing is to carry out the work step by step and observe all the important nuances.
