Important! Try to make cuts strictly perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the main rail, since its curvature will cause the runners to simply warp.

Landmark setting. Insert a 1.2 m long plywood strip into the prepared cuts. Please note that the distance from the lamella to the rail should be 15 cm at the largest bend point. Attach the structure to the workbench, circle the radius, marking the center on the curved strip. On the workbench, according to the circled radius, lay out the stocks, use self-tapping screws to screw them to the table. Screw the plywood onto the stocks.
Installation of limiters. Lay the bars of the same size on the surface of the table to avoid slipping of the lamellas, fix them with self-tapping screws on the table.
Gluing skids. Take 8 slats, grease them with glue, attach them to the strip, which is fixed on the stocks, align them according to the marks set in the center. Install the first clamp directly in the center, placing a block under it and tighten it securely. Fix the edges of the lamella with clamps, but do not tighten too much. Align the clamps in the direction from the center to the edges and tighten. As soon as the lamella package is fully fixed, tighten the outermost clamps.

Important! Leave the workpiece in this form in a stationary state for several days so that the glue is completely dry.

Combination of skids. Clearly, according to the marks on the centers, set the home-made skids opposite each other, fix them through the clamps with the transverse crossbars. Check how well your design swings. Cut the ends of the runners at a right angle, glue them through the grooves of the knobs.
Preparation of reinforcing elements. If you install the seat directly on the wooden skids, they are guaranteed to crack. Therefore, cut out amplifiers from the board, in other words, the same runners, only less long. Using a router, make grooves for connecting the skids with the amplifier with cotter pins.
Connection of skids with amplifiers. Lubricate the surfaces of the elements to be glued with glue, insert the cotter pins into the technological holes. Connect the skids to the reinforcements so that they stick together along the entire length. Pull the parts together with clamps until the glue dries completely.
Creation of side racks. From plywood, cut template drawings according to the shape of the side rack. According to the diagram, draw, cut out six racks. Turn the wooden blanks with the attached template using a milling cutter. Make a groove at the end of each rack for the spikes pre-mounted in the amplifiers.
Attaching the side rails. Lubricate the groove in the side posts with glue, apply it also to the spike and near it. Put the rack on the spike, press it tightly to the body of the amplifier. Do the same for both skids.
Base connection. Connect the sidewalls with transverse stretch marks. Do this with self-tapping screws, screwing them in from the outside.
Seat assembly. Cut out two sides from a solid board. From the inside, cut into them solid longitudinal groove. Connect the sidewalls together by inserting the slats and fixing them with glue. Install the rails as tightly as possible so that there is no gap.

How to make your own metal pendulum chair?

To create such a piece of furniture, you will need:

metal profile 15 by 30 mm;
steel strip 30 mm wide and 3 mm thick;
pipe with a diameter of 32 mm;
bar 12 mm.

Naturally, in the work you can not do without a grinder with a disk for working on metal, welding machine, measuring tool and clamps. To work with pipes, you still have to find a special tool for bending the profile.

You will need to perform the following actions in strict sequence:

Making a drawing in full size. We create the first thing before making a pendulum rocking chair blueprint. On a flat floor, draw the side of the chair. To make your job a little easier, lay some kind of home chair on its side and circle the seat along with the back.

Important! Please note that the less curved elements in your product, the easier it will be for you to assemble it.

Creation of a housing for bearings. Measure the width of the bearing and cut 8 rings from the pipe, that is, their number should correspond to the number of bearings used. Weld a plug on one side of the part, use a washer for this. It is important that the center hole in the washers is slightly smaller in diameter than the existing bar.
Assembly of the side parts of the seat and back. Bend the profile according to the existing drawing, weld two identical sidewalls. Attach them to the drawing and check the correct assembly.
Preparation of the sides of the base. Using a special tool, bend the profile according to the drawing, make these four parts.
Seat assembly. Cut 5 jumpers from the profile to the required length of the chair. Weld jumpers to the sidewalls, weld the details of the chair on metal frame. From the remnants of the profile, bend the handrails, weld them on the sides of the already assembled product.
Seat upholstery. Cut pieces from the steel strip to match the length of the jumpers and weld them to the seat frame.
Installation of the bottom support. Weld together the finished curved profile sections of 2 pieces. Weld the same piece of profile to the end surfaces of the curved parts, as a result, you will get a design that resembles a bow. Using jumpers, weld the two sidewalls at the top and bottom. Install the finished chair on the welded base, weld transverse jumpers on it from below.
Attachment of movable hangers. Weld bearing assemblies with rods inserted into them at the bottom of the chair and the top of the curved sides. Connect the knots on the sidewalls and the chair with pieces of the rod of the same length.

This chair was made for himself by Vladislav Emelyanov. In my opinion, this is a great example of work when you really want to do something, but there are no drawings, as well as skills in making them. Many are worth learning.

Well, they already sawed the bars themselves. The roundings were drawn with a compass and sawed out with a jigsaw. Then he skinned the whole thing - the most tedious process.

We drill niches for connectors in them with a Forstner cutter and grind cylindrical connecting parts for them.

We drive them onto glue into each other, assembling the support frame.

It was necessary to make a secret connection. So that there are no through holes. To do this, I drilled a hole, hammered an M12 nut and screwed a washer on top so that the nut would not fall out

We are preparing the bases for the sidewalls of the hinged module. To do this, we drill blind holes in the rails at an equal distance.

Then they are assembled into solid blocks with glue.

Now we bolt them to the previously assembled base.

Another angle.

We assemble and mount the seat on the base. (Rectangular frame with transverse slats). The bolts are recessed into blind holes into which the cylindrical armrests will then go.
To it we attach the back assembled in a similar way.

The armrests are assembled according to the principle similar to the sidewalls of the hinged part.

We put armrests.

They are fixed with furniture bolts to the back, giving additional rigidity.

Cut foam cushions to fit the seat and back. After that, covers were ordered under these pillows.

The chair was then dismantled and repainted. For this, Aquatex, walnut color was used. In two layers.
