Prayer of permission before communion. Sacrament of Holy Communion

Are you thinking about going to confession, but haven't decided to do it yet? Does it bother you that you don't know how to properly prepare for this? With the following simple tips, you can take your first steps.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR CONFESSION

Confession- the sacrament of reconciliation with God, when a repentant in the presence of a witness-priest reveals his sins to God and promises not to repeat them, and the priest prays for the forgiveness of the sins of the person confessing. Confidential conversation with a priest should be distinguished from confession, where you can discuss some details of your life and get answers to your questions. Of course, some questions can be resolved during confession, but if there are a lot of questions or their discussion takes a long time, then it is better to ask the priest to appoint you a separate time for the conversation. Next, let's go directly to advice on preparing for confession.

1. Realize your sins. If you are thinking about confession, it means that you admit that in your life you did something wrong. It is with the awareness of one's sins that repentance begins. What is sin and what is not? Sin is everything that contradicts God's will, or, in other words, God's plan for the world and man. God's plan for peace is revealed in the Holy Scriptures - the Bible. Partial, the most "succinct" expression of God's plan for the practical life of man are the commandments - the famous Ten Commandments given to Moses at Sinai. Jesus Christ reduced the essence of these commandments to the following: “ Love the Lord God with all your heart "and" love your neighbor as yourself". Before preparing for the first confession, it is useful to reread the Savior's Sermon on the Mount (chapters 5-7 of the Gospel of Matthew) and the parable of the Last Judgment, where Jesus Christ says that our life will be judged on the basis of how we treated our neighbors.

2. Do not use “lists of sins”. Recently, among believers (as they say, "churched", that is, more familiar with church tradition, and in practice - with near-church superstitions) different kinds"Lists of sins." They are more likely to harm the preparation for confession, because they very successfully help turn confession into a formal enumeration of "what-is-sin." In fact, confession should not be formal in any case. In addition, among the "lists of sins" there are even curious examples, so it is better not to consider brochures of this kind seriously at all.

The only exception may be the most a short "memo" of the main sins which are often not recognized as such. An example of such a memo:

a. Sins against the Lord God:

- disbelief in God, recognition of any significance behind other "spiritual forces", religious doctrines, in addition to the Christian faith; participation in other religious practices or rituals, even "for the company", as a joke, etc .;

- nominal faith, not expressed in any way in life, that is, practical atheism (you can recognize the existence of God with your mind, but live as if you were an unbeliever);

- the creation of "idols", that is, placing on the first place among life values anything other than God. Anything that a person really “serves” can become an idol: money, power, career, health, knowledge, hobbies, - all this can be good when it occupies an appropriate place in the personal “hierarchy of values”, but by becoming the first , turns into an idol;

- appeal to all kinds of fortune-tellers, sorcerers, sorcerers, psychics, etc. - an attempt to "subdue" spiritual forces by magical means, without repentance and personal effort to change life in accordance with the commandments.

b. Sins against neighbor:

- neglect of people, arising from pride and selfishness, inattention to the needs of a neighbor (a neighbor is not necessarily a relative or an acquaintance, this is every person who is next to us at the moment);

- condemnation and discussion of the shortcomings of neighbors (“ From your words you will be justified and from your words you will be condemned", - says the Lord);

prodigal sins of various kinds, especially adultery (violation of marital fidelity) and unnatural sexual intercourse, which is incompatible with being in the Church. Prodigal cohabitation also includes the so-called common today. "Civil marriage", that is, cohabitation without marriage registration. It should be remembered, however, that a registered but unmarried marriage cannot be regarded as fornication and is not an obstacle to being in the Church;

- abortion - the deprivation of the life of a human being, in fact, murder. You should repent even if the abortion was done for medical reasons. Inducing a woman to have an abortion (on the part of her husband, for example) is also a serious sin. Repentance for this sin means that the repentant will never knowingly repeat it again.

- appropriation of someone else's property, refusal to pay for the work of other people (ticketless travel), withholding the wages of subordinates or hired workers;

- all kinds of lies, especially - slandering others, spreading rumors (as a rule, we cannot be sure of the truthfulness of rumors), incontinence of words.

This is an approximate list of the most common sins, but once again we emphasize that such "lists" should not be carried away. It is best to use the Ten Commandments of God in further preparation for confession and listen to your own conscience.

3. Talk only about sins, and your own. It is necessary to speak in confession about your sins, without trying to diminish them or show them excusable. It would seem that this is obvious, but how often priests, when accepting confession, hear, instead of confessing sins, everyday stories about all relatives, neighbors and acquaintances. When in confession a person talks about the wrongs inflicted on him, he evaluates and condemns others, in fact, justifying himself. Often in such stories, personal sins are presented in such a light that it would seem that it is completely impossible to avoid them. But sin is always the fruit of personal choice. It is extremely rare that we find ourselves in such collisions when we are forced to choose between two kinds of sin.

4. Do not invent a special language. Talking about your sins, you should not worry about how to call them “correctly” or “according to the church”. It is necessary to call a spade a spade, in ordinary language. You confess to God, who knows about your sins even more than you do, and by calling sin as it is, you certainly will not surprise God.

Nor will you surprise the priest. Sometimes those who repent are ashamed to tell the priest this or that sin, or there is a fear that the priest, upon hearing the sin, will condemn you. In fact, a priest has to listen to many confessions over the years of his ministry, and it is not easy to surprise him. And besides, all sins are not original: they have practically not changed over the millennia. Being a witness of sincere repentance for serious sins, the priest will never condemn, but will rejoice at the conversion of a person from sin to the path of righteousness.

5. Talk about serious things, not small things. It is not necessary to start confession with such sins as breaking the fast, not going to church, working on holidays, watching TV, wearing / not wearing certain types of clothes, etc. Firstly, these are definitely not your most serious sins. Secondly, it may not be a sin at all: if a person is years did not come to God, then why repent of non-observance of fasts, if the very "vector" of life was directed in the wrong direction? Third, who needs endless digging in everyday little things? The Lord expects from us love and the return of our hearts, and we to him: "I ate a fish on a fast day" and "embroidered on a holiday."

The main attention should be paid to the attitude towards God and neighbors. Moreover, by neighbors, according to the Gospel, we mean not only people who are pleasant to us, but everyone who met us on the path of life. And above all - our family members. Christian life for family people begins in the family and is verified by it. Here is the best field for cultivating Christian qualities in oneself: love, patience, forgiveness, acceptance.

6. Start changing your life even before confession. Repentance for Greek sounds like "metanoia", literally - "change of mind." It is not enough to admit that you have committed such and such wrongs in your life. God is not a prosecutor, and confession is not a confession. Repentance should be a change of life: the repentant intends not to return to sins and by all means tries to keep himself from them. Such repentance begins some time before confession, and coming to church to see a priest already “captures” the change taking place in life. This is extremely important. If a person intends to continue sinning after confession, then maybe it is worth postponing with confession?

It must be stipulated that when we talk about changing life and giving up sin, we mean first of all the so-called "mortal" sins, according to the word of the Apostle John, that is, incompatible with being in the Church. Since ancient times, the Christian Church has considered such sins to be renunciation, murder and adultery. An extreme degree of other human passions can also be attributed to sins of this kind: anger at one's neighbor, theft, cruelty, and so on, which can be stopped once and for all by an effort of will, combined with the help of God. As for the petty sins, the so-called "everyday", they will largely be repeated after confession. One must be ready for this and accept it humbly as an inoculation against spiritual exaltation: there are no perfect people among people, only God is sinless.

7. Be at peace with everyone. « Goodbye and you will be forgiven”- says the Lord. - " By what court you judge, so you will be judged". And even more strongly: “ If you bring your gift to the altar and there you remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go first, be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift". If we ask God for forgiveness, then we ourselves must first forgive the offenders. Of course, there are situations when it is physically impossible to ask for forgiveness directly from a person, or this will lead to an exacerbation of an already difficult relationship. Then it is important, at least, to forgive on your part and not have anything in your heart against your neighbor.

Several practical recommendations. Before you come to confess, it would be nice to know when confession is usually held in the temple. In many churches they serve not only on Sundays and holidays, but also on Saturdays, and in large churches and monasteries - and on weekdays. The greatest influx of confessors occurs during Great Lent. Of course, the Lenten period is primarily a time of repentance, but for those who come for the first time or after a very long break, it is better to find a time when the priest is not very busy. It may turn out that confessions in the church are held on Friday evening or Saturday morning - on these days there will probably be fewer people than during the Sunday service. It is good if you have the opportunity to personally contact the priest and ask to appoint you a convenient time for confession.

There are special prayers that express a "mood of repentance". It is good to read them the day before confession. Penitential Canon to the Lord Jesus Christ printed in almost any prayer book, except the very brief ones.

During confession, the priest may assign you penance: abstaining from communion for a while, reading special prayers, bowing to the ground, or works of mercy. It is not a punishment, but a means to get rid of sin and receive complete forgiveness. A penance can be assigned when the priest does not meet with the repentant a proper attitude towards serious sins, or, conversely, when he sees that a person has a need to do something practically to "get rid of" sin. Penalty cannot be indefinite: it is appointed for a certain time, and then it must be terminated.

As a rule, believers receive communion after confession. Although confession and communion are two different ordinances, it is better to combine preparation for confession with preparation for communion.

If these little tips have helped you in preparing for confession - thank God. Do not forget that this ordinance must be regular. Don't put off your next confession for years. Confession at least once a month helps to always be "in good shape", attentively and responsibly to our daily life, in which, in fact, our Christian faith should be expressed.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR HOLY COMMONMENT

A reminder to a Christian who wants to come to the Holy Chalice for communion of the life-giving Body and Blood of Christ the Vladyka.

An Orthodox Christian who wishes to begin the Holy Sacrament of Communion should remember that in order for the Lord to not receive the Communion "in judgment and condemnation", a Christian must fulfill a number of essential and disciplinary conditions. Disciplinary conditions are not strictly binding, and in case of extraordinary circumstances (for example, in case of a serious illness of a person or his dying condition), they are not met. However, Orthodox Christians should remember that the development of these disciplinary conditions was served by the great experience of the life of the Church, and, therefore, in ordinary circumstances, this external preparation (stay in worship, fasting, prayer at home, etc.) is also mandatory.

1. Awareness of the meaning. A person should be absolutely aware of where and why he came. He came to enter into communion with God, to become a partaker of the Divine, to unite with Christ, to partake of the Lord's Supper for his sanctification and cleansing from sins, and not to perform a religious rite, “drink a compote” or have supper. The Apostle Paul puts it this way: “ Next, you're going so that it doesn't mean to eat the Lord's supper; for everyone hastens before others to eat his own food, so that one is hungry, and another is drunk. Don't you have houses to eat and drink? Or do you neglect the church of God and humiliate the poor? What can I tell you? Should I praise you for that? I will not praise"(1 Cor. 11: 20-22).

2. Sincere desire. A person must have a completely sincere desire to unite with Christ. All hypocrisy should be alien to this desire, and it should be combined with the Fear of God: “ The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord”(Prov. 9:10). A person should remember that “whoever eats this Bread or drinks the Lord's Cup unworthily will be guilty against the Body and Blood of the Lord.”(1 Cor. 11:27).

3. Peace of mind. A person approaching the Chalice must have peace of mind, that is, a state foreign to malice, enmity or hatred against someone. In such a state, it is impossible for a believer to approach the Sacrament. Our Lord Jesus Christ said: “ So, if you bring your gift to the altar and there you remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go first, be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift"(Matt. 5: 23-24).

4. Churchness. And, finally, the last essential condition: a person must not violate the canons of the Church that excommunicate him from Communion and the Church, that is, to be within the framework of faith and moral life that the Church allows, since “ grace is given to those who do not violate the limits of faith and do not transgress the traditions of the fathers"(Epistle to Diognetus).

5. Confession. The tradition of the Russian Orthodox Church requires obligatory confession before Communion : « Let a man test himself, and thus let him eat of this Bread and drink from this Chalice. For whoever eats and drinks unworthily, he eats and drinks condemnation to himself, not considering the Body of the Lord. For this reason many of you are weak and sick, and many die."(1 Cor. 11: 28-29). Confession before Communion can take place as the night before, or in the morning, before the Liturgy., and in necessary cases (holidays, workload of priests due to a large crowd of people, etc.), a few days before Communion.

6. Liturgical fast. Before communion by the oldest tradition The church needs the so-called liturgical fast, or fasting before the sacrament, which consists in the fact that from 24 o'clock the night before, before communion, they do not eat or drink anything, for it is customary to start the Holy Chalice on an empty stomach ... On the days of festive night services (Easter, Christmas, etc.), it should be remembered that the duration of the liturgical fast, according to the definition of the Holy Synod, cannot be less than 6 hours. The question arises if someone, fasting for the communion of the Holy Mysteries, washing or being in the bath, reluctantly swallowed a little water, should he take the communion? As St. Timothy of Alexandria answers in his canonical epistle: “ Should. For otherwise Satan, having found the opportunity to remove him from Communion, will often do the same."(Answer 16). In doubtful cases, in the morning before the service, it is necessary to seek advice from a priest.

7. Corporeal fasting. Anyone who wants to receive communion should try to adequately prepare for this holy sacrament. The mind should not be overly scattered over the little things of life and be amused. On the days of preparation, if circumstances permit, one should attend church services and more diligently follow the home prayer rule. The means to such a more focused spiritual life is fasting (in church practice it is called fasting): the body is prescribed abstinence and restriction in food (meat and dairy) . The bodily fast before Communion usually lasts for several days. and the general rule here is this: the less often a person partakes, the stricter and more bodily fasting should be, and vice versa. The measure of bodily fasting is also determined by family and social circumstances (life in a non-church family, hard physical and intellectual work), and in these conditions it naturally decreases. Note that for Christians observing one-day and many-day fasts, bodily fasting before Communion is usually completely canceled during Easter Week.

8. Bodily cleanliness. There are certain requirements for bodily purity for men and women. The first general requirement is refusal from bodily marital relations, on the eve of Communion ... The ancient ascetic tradition also prescribes, without urgent need, men to refrain from Communion on the day after a night involuntary expiration, but for women during women's days and the 40-day postpartum period : « It is not forbidden to eat, no matter in what condition someone is and no matter how disposed, to remember the Lord and ask for help. But to approach what is the Holy of Holies may it be forbidden to a person who is not completely pure in soul and body."(The second canonical rule of St. Dionysius of Alexandria).

9. Attendance at services and prayer at home. Since the church service allows you to better prepare for the liturgy (for a common cause - Greek), healthy person on the eve of Communion, you must definitely come to church and pray with everyone at the evening service .

Home prayer includes except for the usual morning and evening prayers reading Follow-up to Holy Communion (following the morning prayers in the morning).

On the evening before Communion, it is also provided for reading of the three canons:

  • A penitential canon to the Lord,
  • Prayer Canon to the Most Holy Theotokos, and
  • Canon to the Guardian Angel

Those who wish, by personal zeal, can also read other prayers, for example, the akathist to Jesus the Sweetest.

Psalm 22

The Lord is my Shepherd; I will not need anything: He rests me in the pastures of green and leads me to still waters, strengthens my soul, guides me to the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name. If I go through the valley of the shadow of death, I will not fear evil, because You are with me; Your rod and your staff - they comfort me. You have prepared a meal before me in the presence of my enemies; he anointed my head with oil; my cup is overflowing. Thus, let Your goodness and mercy accompany me all the days of my life, and I will abide in the house of the Lord for many days.

Psalm 23

The Lord's earth and what fills it, the universe and everything that lives in it, for He founded it on the seas and established it on the rivers. Who will ascend the mountain of the Lord, or who will stand in His holy place? He who has innocent hands and a pure heart, who did not swear in vain with his soul and did not falsely swear to his neighbor, will receive blessing from the Lord and mercy from God, his Savior. Such is the race of those who seek Him, seek Thy face, O God of Jacob! Lift up, gates, your tops, and rise, eternal doors, and the King of glory will enter! Who is this King of glory? - The Lord is strong and strong, the Lord is strong in battle. Lift up, gates, your tops, and rise, eternal doors, and the King of glory will enter! Who is this King of glory? - The Lord of hosts, He is the king of glory.

Psalm 115

I believed, and therefore I said: I am greatly crushed. I said in my rashness: Every man is a lie. What will I repay the Lord for all His good deeds to me? I will receive the cup of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord. I will pay my vows to the Lord in the presence of all His people. The death of His saints is dear in the eyes of the Lord! Oh my God! I am Thy servant, I am Thy servant and the son of Thy handmaid; You have released my bonds. I will offer you a sacrifice of praise, and I will call upon the name of the Lord. I will pay my vows to the Lord in the presence of all His people, in the courts of the house of the Lord, in your midst, Jerusalem! Alleluia.

And the tropari, voice 8:

Despise my transgressions, O Lord, born of the Virgin, and cleanse my heart, making it the temple of Thy most pure Body and Blood; put me not away from your face, for your mercy is immeasurably great.

Glory: To partake of Thy holy things, how dare I, unworthy? After all, if I dare to approach You with the worthy ones, the clothes convict me, for they are not going to the supper like this, and I will bring condemnation on my sinful soul. Cleanse, O Lord, the filth of my soul and save me, for Thou art a Lover of Man.

And now: Innumerable many of my sins, O Mother of God; I run to You, Pure, in need of salvation. Look mercifully on my weak soul and pray to Thy Son and our God to give me forgiveness for the grievous sins I have committed, one Blessed One.

During Great Lent, we add the troparion:

When the glorious disciples were enlightened during the prayer at the supper, then the wicked Judas, who was sick with avarice, darkened and you, the righteous Judge, betrayed the lawless judges. Look, gatherer of estates, at the one who hanged himself because of them. Run away from the insatiable soul that has acted so impudently with the Teacher. Lord, merciful to all, glory to Thee!

Psalm 50

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Thy great mercy, and according to the multitude of Thy compassions, blot out my iniquities. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin, for I acknowledge my iniquities, and my sin is always before me. To Thee, Thee only, have I sinned and done evil in Thy sight, so that Thou art righteous in Thy judgment and pure in Thy judgment. Behold, I was conceived in iniquity, and in sin my mother gave birth to me. Behold, You loved the truth in my heart and within me showed me [Your] wisdom. Sprinkle me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness, and the bones, broken by You, will rejoice. Turn Thy face away from my sins and blot out all my iniquities. Create a clean heart in me, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me. Give me back the joy of Thy salvation and establish me with the Spirit of dominion. I will teach the wicked your ways, and the wicked will turn to you. Deliver me from [the guilt of shedding] blood, O God, the God of my salvation, and my tongue will praise Thy righteousness. God! Thou shalt open my mouth, and my lips shall declare Thy praise: for Thou do not desire sacrifice, I would give it; you are not pleased with the burnt offering. A sacrifice to God is a broken spirit; you will not despise a broken and humble heart, O God. Bless, [Lord,] according to Thy good pleasure Zion; Build up the walls of Jerusalem: then the sacrifices of righteousness, the offering and the burnt offering, will be pleasing to You; then they will lay calves on your altar.

The communion of Thy immortal Mysteries, Christ, may be to me now the source of blessings, light, life, victory over passions and serve to the prosperity and multiplication of divine virtue, so that I glorify You, the only merciful.

May I be delivered from passions, and enemies, and troubles, and all sorrow, I, now with trembling and love, with reverence coming to Thy, Humanitarian, immortal and divine Sacraments and vouchsafe me to sing to You: blessed are You, God of our fathers!

Canto 8

Irmos: To the fiery furnace for the Hebrew youths descended and the flame into dew that turned God, praise as the Lord and exalt in all ages.

Heavenly, and terrible, and Thy holy Sacraments, Christ, and Thy divine and mysterious Supper, honor me, desperate, O God, my Savior!

Having resorted to Your mercy, the Good One, I cry to You with fear: “Abide in me, Savior, and I, as You said, in You; for behold, daring to Your mercy, I eat Your Body and drink Your Blood! "

Theotokos: I tremble, accepting fire, I would not burn like wax and like grass. O terrible sacrament! About the mercy of God! How I, insignificant, partake of the Divine Body and Blood and become incorruptible?

Canto 9

Irmos: The Son, God and the Lord, incarnate from the Virgin, appeared to us to enlighten the darkened, to gather the scattered ones. Therefore, we all magnify the glorified Mother of God.

May I be sanctified in soul and body, O Lord, may I be enlightened, may I be saved, may I be Your house, through the communion of the Sacraments, having You in me living with the Father and the Spirit, the Benefactor of many mercies.

Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Thy Body and most honorable Blood, my Savior, may it be to me like fire and like light, burning in me everything sinful and burning the thorns of passions, and enlightening me all to worship Thy Divine.

And now and always, and forever and ever. God was incarnate from Thy pure blood. Therefore, every race praises You, Lady, and the multitudes of the ethereal glorify You, for through You they clearly saw the Ruler over everything, who took on human nature.

It is truly worthy to glorify You, Mother of God, always blessed and most blameless, Mother of our God, the most honest cherubim and incomparably most glorious seraphim, who gave birth to the incorruptible God of the Word, we magnify the true Mother of God.

Have mercy on us, Lord, have mercy on us! There is no excuse for us, and we, sinners, bring this prayer to You, Vladyka: have mercy on us!

Glory: God! Have mercy on us, for we trust in You. Do not be angry with us and do not remember our iniquities: but turn your eyes on us now, for You are merciful, and deliver us from our enemies, for You are our God and we are Your people, we are all the work of Your hands and we call upon Your name ...

And now: Open the doors of mercy to us, blessed Mother of God, hoping in You may we not perish, but may we rid ourselves of troubles by You, for You are the salvation of the Christian race.

Lord have mercy. (40) And bows as much as you like.

Then the following verses: Desiring to taste, man, the Body of the Lord, / in fear, approach so as not to be scorched, for this is fire. / When you drink the divine Blood for communion, / first make peace with those who grieve you. / Then taste the boldly mysterious food.

And other verses: Before partaking of the terrible sacrifice, / the life-giving Body of the Lord, / in this way, pray with trembling.

Prayer 1, St. Basil the Great.

The Sovereign Lord Jesus Christ, our God, the source of life and immortality, the Creator of all creation visible and invisible, the Son of the beginningless Father, together with Him the eternal and beginningless, in the last days, by immeasurable mercy, clothed in flesh, crucified and buried for us, ungrateful and evil who renewed our nature damaged by sin with His blood! Himself, immortal King, accept repentance from me, a sinner, incline Your ear to me and hear my words: I have sinned, O Lord, I have sinned before heaven and before You and am not worthy to raise my eyes to the height of Your glory, for I have angered Your mercy, having transgressed Your commandments and not listening to your commands.

But you, Lord, gentle, long-suffering and merciful, did not leave me to perish with my iniquities, waiting in every possible way for my conversion. You, the Lover of Man, yourself said through your prophet: “I definitely do not want the death of a sinner; but I want him to be converted and live. " After all, You do not want, O Lord, to destroy the creation of Your hands, you do not want to destroy people. But you want everyone to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Therefore, although I am unworthy of both heaven and earth, and this fleeting life, having subjugated myself to sin, and enslaved to pleasures, and darkening Your image in myself, but, being Your creation and your creation, I do not despair of my salvation, accursed, to I come boldly to Thy immeasurable mercy. Accept me also, O Lord of mankind, as a harlot, as a robber, as a publican and as a prodigal son, and take the heavy burden of sins from me; Thou who lifts up the sin of the world and human infirmities, heals those who work and are burdened to Himself, calling and giving them rest, Who came to call not the righteous, but sinners to repentance, cleanse me from all defilement of flesh and spirit and teach me to lead a holy life in fear of You so that I, with a clear testimony of my conscience, accepting a part of Thy holy things, unite with Thy holy Body and Blood and have You dwelling and abiding in me, with the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Truly so, Lord, Jesus Christ, my God, and may it not be in judgment for me the communion of Thy most pure and life-giving Sacraments, and may I not become weak in soul and body from their unworthy communion, but let me, until my last breath, uncondemnedly receive part of the holy things Yours - in communion with the Holy Spirit, in parting words of eternal life, in a favorable response at Your terrible judgment, so that I, with all Your elect, may become a participant in Your incorruptible benefits, which You have prepared for those who love You, Lord, - in them You are glorified forever. Amen.

Prayer 2, St. John Chrysostom

Oh my God! I know that I am unworthy and unsuitable for You to enter under the roof of the house of my soul, because it is empty and collapsed, and you will not find a place in me worthy to lay your head. But how did You appear on earth from a heavenly height for us in a humble form; condescend also now to my misery. And as You deigned to lie down in the cave and in the manger of dumb cattle, enter also into the manger of my foolish soul and into my defiled body. Just as I did not despise to enter and dine with sinners in the house of Simon the leper, I deign also to enter the house of my humble soul, a leper and a sinner. And just as You did not reject a harlot and sinner like me, who came and touched You, so have pity on me for sinners who come and touch You. And just as you did not abhor the filth of her defiled lips that kissed You, also do not abhor my lips that are even more unclean and filthy, and my disgusting, unclean and defiled lips, and my even more unclean tongue.

But let the burning coal of Thy Holy Body and Thy honest Blood be for me to sanctify, enlighten and strengthen my humble soul and body, to alleviate the severity of many of my sins, to preserve from all the wiles of the devil, to eliminate and curb my evil and vicious habits, in mortification of passions, for keeping your commandments, for increasing your divine grace and gaining your kingdom. After all, I do not come to You with carelessness, Christ God, but with bold hope in Your ineffable goodness, so that I do not become the prey of a spiritual wolf if I deviate from communion with You for a long time.

Therefore, I pray to You, for You alone are holy, O Lord, sanctify my soul and body, mind and heart, and all my insides, renew all of me, root Your fear in my members, and make sure that Your sanctification is invariable in me. And be my helper and intercessor, managing my life in the world, so that I can stand on the right hand of You with Your saints through the prayers and intercessions of Your Most Pure Mother, Your immaterial servants and Most Pure Powers, and all the saints who have delighted You from time immemorial. Amen.

Prayer 3, St. Simeon Metaphrastus

One pure and incorruptible Lord, through unspeakable compassion and love for mankind, who took upon Himself all our nature from the pure and immaculate blood of the Virgin, who supernaturally gave you the Divine Spirit by the influx and grace of the eternal Father, Christ Jesus, the Wisdom of God, and peace and strength! You, the flesh perceived by You, who have accepted life-giving and saving sufferings: the Cross, nails, spear, death, - mortify my bodily passions that are destructive to the soul. Whoever ruined the kingdom of hell by Thy burial, bury my evil intentions with good thoughts and scatter the spirits of evil. Thou hast raised up the fallen forefather by Thy life-giving resurrection on the third day, raise me up, who slipped by sin, offering me the means to repentance. By Your glorious ascension, the flesh received, deified, and who gave it the honor to sit at the right hand of the Father, honor me with the communion of Your holy Sacraments to become together with the saved on the right side. By the descent of the Comforter Spirit, who made Thy holy disciples precious vessels, make me a repository of His coming. Coming again to righteously judge the universe, be pleased with me to meet in the clouds with all Your saints You, my Creator and My Creator, so that I endlessly glorify and praise You, with Your beginningless Father and all-holy, and good and life-giving Your Spirit, now and always , and forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer 4, St. John Damascene

The Lord Jesus Christ, our God, merciful and benevolent, alone who has the power to forgive sins to people, despise all my sins, conscious and out of ignorance, and grant me uncondemned communion of Your divine, glorious, most pure and life-giving Mysteries, not into a burden, not into torment , not for the multiplication of sins, but for cleansing, sanctification, as a pledge future life and kingdoms, for the fence, for protection, for the defeat of enemies, for the destruction of many of my sins. For You are the God of mercy and mercy and love for mankind, and we glorify You with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now, and always, and forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer 5, St. Basil the Great

I know, Lord, that I unworthily partake of Your most pure Body and Your honest Blood, and I am guilty, and I eat and drink condemnation to myself, not realizing that it is Your Body and Blood, Christ and my God. But, hoping for Your mercy, I come to You, who said: "He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood, he abides in Me, and I in him." Have mercy, Lord, and do not reprove me as a sinner, but walk with me according to Thy mercy, and may this Shrine serve me for healing, cleansing, enlightenment, for the protection, salvation and sanctification of soul and body, for banishing all dreams and deceit, and the influence of the devil, manifested through thoughts in my members; in boldness and love for You, in correcting life and strengthening it, in increasing virtue and perfection, in fulfilling the commandments, in communion with the Holy Spirit, in parting words in eternal life, in a favorable response to your last judgment, and not in condemnation.

Prayer 6, St. John Chrysostom

God, be weakened, let go, forgive me my sins, which I have sinned before You: either by word, or deed, or thought, voluntarily or involuntarily, consciously or out of ignorance, forgive me everything, as good and lover of mankind. And through the prayers of Thy most pure Mother, Thy immaterial servants and holy Powers and all the saints who have delighted You from time immemorial, please me to accept not Thy holy and most pure Body and precious Blood for condemnation, but for the healing of my soul and body, and for the cleansing of my evil thoughts , for Thine is the Kingdom, and power, and glory, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now, and always, and forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer 7, St. John Chrysostom

I am not worthy, Master Lord, that You should enter under the roof of my soul, but since You, as a Humanitarian, want to live in me, I approach with boldness. You command that I open the gates created by You alone, and You would enter them with your characteristic philanthropy and enlighten my darkened mind. I believe that You will do this, for You did not drive out the harlot who came to You with tears, and did not reject the publican who brought repentance, you did not drive away the robber who knew the King in You; and he did not leave the persecutor who turned to Thee what he was; but to all who came to You with repentance, You gave a place in the assembly of Your friends, the only Blessed One always, now and in endless ages. Amen.

Prayer 8, St. John Chrysostom

Lord Jesus Christ, my God! Let go, allow, cleanse and forgive me, Thy servant, mistakes, and sins, and my sins, with which I have sinned before You from my youth to the present day and hour: consciously or unconsciously, or in words, or deeds, or thoughts, or designs and habits, and all my feelings. And through prayers without a husband of the Most Pure Ever-Virgin Mary, Your Mother, who gave birth to You, the only undoubted hope, intercession and my salvation, grant me uncondemned communion of Your most pure, immortal, and life-giving, and terrible Your Sacraments in the forgiveness of sins, in eternal life, in sanctification and enlightenment , strengthening, healing and health of the soul and body, in the destruction and complete elimination of my unclean thoughts and plans, intentions and night visions of dark and evil spirits. For Thine is the kingdom, and power, and glory, honor and worship, together with the Father and Thy Holy Spirit, now and always, and forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer 9, St. John Damascene

I stand before the gates of Your temple, but I do not leave evil thoughts. But you, Christ God, who justified the publican, and who had mercy on the Canaanite woman, and who opened the gates of Paradise to the robber, open also Thy human heart to me and accept me, who comes and touches Thee, like a harlot and bleeding one: after all, one, having touched the hem of Thy garment, easily received healing; the other, embracing Thy most pure feet, acquired the remission of sins. But I am accursed, daring to accept your whole body, may I not be burned, but accept me as those two, and enlighten the feelings of my soul, burning my sins, through the prayers of the Immaculate One who gave birth to you and through the prayers of the heavenly Powers. For you are blessed forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer of St. John Chrysostom

(read by the priest when taking out the cup).

I believe, Lord, and I confess that you are truly the Christ, the Son of the living God, who came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the first. I also believe that this is precisely Thy most pure Body, and that this is precisely Thy precious Blood. Therefore, I pray to You: have mercy on me and forgive me my sins, voluntary and involuntary, which I did in word and deed, consciously and unconsciously, and honor me uncondemnedly to partake of Your most pure Sacraments for the remission of sins and eternal life. Amen.

Your mysterious supper now, Son of God, accept me as a partaker. For I will not tell the secret to Your enemies, I will not give You a kiss, such as Judas. But as a robber I confess You: "Remember me, Lord, in Your Kingdom!"

Coming to communion, say the following verses of Simeon Metaphrastus within yourself.

Prayers for Holy Communion in Russian

(Translated by the Moscow Theological Academy.

Reprinted from a prayer book published in Moscow in 1874)

Prayers before Communion

Through the prayers of our holy fathers, Lord Jesus Christ our God, have mercy on us. Amen.

To the Heavenly King, the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, Who is everywhere and you fill everything, the source of good things and the giver of life, come and dwell in us, and cleanse us from all defilement and save, O Good One, our souls.

Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us (thrice).

Glory to the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, both now (now), and ever (always), and forever and ever. Amen (truly so).

Holy Trinity, have mercy on us. Lord, cleanse our sins, O Lord, forgive our iniquities, Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities for Your name's sake.

Lord, have mercy (three times). Glory to the Father and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now and forever, and forever and ever. Amen.

Our Father who art in heaven. Hallowed be thy name, may thy kingdom come, may thy will be done on earth, as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread (necessary), and forgive us our debts, just as we forgive our debtors, and do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one (the evil one is evil, the devil) For (because) Your kingdom is , and the power, and the glory of the Father and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and forever and ever. Amen.

Psalm 22

The Lord grazes (leads) me and does not deprive me of anything. There, in a sinister place, He settled me and raised me by the calm water. He converted my soul, directed me on the path of righteousness for the sake of His name. Even if I go in the midst of the shadow of death, I will not fear evil, for You are with me: Your rod and Your staff - they have comforted me. Thou hast prepared a meal for me in the presence of my oppressors, thou anointed my head with oil, and Thy cup gives me water as an excellent one! And Thy mercy follows me all the days of my life. And I will remain in the house of the Lord for many days!

Psalm 23

The Lord's earth and everything that fills it, the universe and all who live in it. He founded it on the seas and arranged it on the rivers. Who will climb the mountain of the Lord? Or who will stand in His holy place? He who has no shameful hands and a pure heart, who in his soul was not carried away by vanity and did not swear deceitfully to his neighbor. He will receive blessing from the Lord and mercy from the God of his savior. Such is the race of those seeking the Lord, seeking the face of the God of Jacob! Princes, lift up your gates and rise, everlasting gates! And the King of Glory will enter. Who is this King of Glory? The Lord is strong and strong, the Lord is strong in battle. Princes, lift up your gates and rise, eternal gates! And the King of Glory will enter. Who is this King of Glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of Glory.

Psalm 115

I believed and therefore said: I am very contrite. But I said in my frenzy: Every man is a liar. What will I repay the Lord for all that He has given me? I will take the cup of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord. I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of all His people. Honest before the Lord is the death of His saints. God! I am Your servant. I am Thy servant and the son of Thy handmaid. You broke my bonds. I will offer you a sacrifice of praise, and I will call upon the name of the Lord. I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of all His people, in the courts of the house of the Lord, in the midst of you, Jerusalem!

Tropari

Lord, born of the Virgin! Despise my iniquities, cleanse my heart and make it a temple of Your most pure Body and Blood, and do not take me away from Your face, immeasurably merciful!

Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. How can I, unworthy, dare to partake of Thy holy things? If I dare to approach You with worthy ones, the garment denounces me, because it is unmarried, and I will deserve condemnation for my sinful soul: cleanse, O Lord, the uncleanness of my soul and save me, because You are philanthropic.

And now and forever, and forever and ever, Amen. The virgin is pure! I have many, many sins. I ran to You, seeking salvation. One Blessed One! Come to the aid of my weary soul and pray to Thy Son and our God that He forgive me in everything that I have done wicked.

On the holy fourtieth day it reads:

When the glorious disciples were enlightened during the prayer at the supper, then the wicked Judas, who was sick with love of money, darkened (in soul), and you, the righteous Judge, gave you over to the wicked judges. Look, collector of estates, at the one who hanged himself because of them. Flee the insatiable soul that has done so boldly with the Master. Lord, merciful to all, glory to Thee!

Psalm 50

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Thy great mercy and according to the multitude of Thy compassions, cleanse my iniquity. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin, for I acknowledge my iniquity, and my sin is always before me. To You alone, I have sinned and done evil in front of You, so that You will be righteous in Your judgment, and you will prevail when You judge. For behold, I was conceived in iniquity, and in sins my mother gave birth to me. But you loved the truth: You have revealed the unknown and secret of Your wisdom to me. Sprinkle me with hyssop (the herb used in divine services) and I will be cleansed, wash me, and I will become whiter than snow.

Deliver joy and joy to my hearing, and the humble bones will rejoice. Turn Thy face away from my sins, and cleanse my iniquities. Create a clean heart in me, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me. Return to me the joy of Thy salvation and confirm me with the Spirit of the Sovereign. I will teach the wicked your ways, and the wicked will turn to you. Deliver me from the (shedding of) blood, O God, God of my salvation! And my tongue will joyfully praise your truth. God! Open my mouth and they will declare your praise. If you wanted a sacrifice, I would give, (but) you are not pleased with a burnt offering. A sacrifice to God is a broken spirit; God will not despise a contrite and humble heart.

Bless, O Lord, according to Thy good pleasure, Zion, and may the walls of Jerusalem be built. Then you will be pleased with the sacrifice of righteousness, the offering and the burnt offering, then they will lay calves on Your altar.

Many merciful! Having incarnated for our sake, You wanted to be slain for the sins of people, like a sheep; therefore I humbly beg You to cleanse my transgressions.

Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.

God! Heal the wounds of my soul and sanctify everything. Master! Honor me, the unfortunate one, to partake of You, Your mysterious Divine Supper.

Christ! What He Himself said before, let it be to Thy worthless servant, and, as promised, abide in me; for now I am eating Your Divine Body and drinking Your Blood.

Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.

Oh the Word of God (Father) and God! May the coal of Your Body serve me, the darkened one, for enlightenment, and Your Blood for the purification of my defiled soul.

Holy Mother of God, save us!

Mary, Mother of God, precious receptacle of fragrance! Make me a chosen vessel with Thy prayers, so that I may be a partaker of Thy Son's consecrations.

Song 6

Irmos: Plunging into the abyss of sin, I invoke the incomprehensible abyss of Your mercy. God, bring me out of destruction!

Create a pure heart in me, O God, and renew the spirit of righteousness in my interior.

Savior! Sanctify my mind, soul, heart and body, and deign, Master, to uncondemnedly embark on the terrible secrets.

Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.

Christ! Through the communion of Thy holy mysteries, may I be freed from passions and receive an increase in Thy grace and a strengthening of life.

Holy Mother of God, save us!

God, the Holy Word of God! Through the prayers of Thy Holy Mother, consecrate everything to me, now approaching Thy Divine mysteries.

Kondak

Christ! Allow me to receive bread - Thy Body, and do not deprive me, unfortunate, Master, of the communion of Thy Divine Blood - Thy purest and terrible secrets. May communion not serve me as a condemnation, but it will grant me eternal and immortal life.

Canto 7

Irmos: The wise youths did not serve the golden image, they themselves went into the flame and laughed at their gods; they cried out in the midst of the flame, and the angel sprinkled them with dew: the prayer of your lips was heard.

Create a pure heart in me, O God, and renew the spirit of righteousness in my interior.

Christ! May the communion of Thy immortal mysteries be to me now a source of blessings, light, life, victory over passions and serve to the prosperity and multiplication of Divine virtue, so that I glorify You, the only merciful.

Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.

Philanthropic! With trembling, love and reverence, approaching now to You, to Your immortal and Divine secrets, may I get rid of passions, enemies, needs and all sorrow, so that I may sing to You: blessed are You, God of our fathers!

Holy Mother of God, save us!

Filled with Divine grace, inconceivably giving birth to Christ the Savior! I implore You, Pure One, I, Your unclean servant, cleanse all of me from the impurity of flesh and spirit, who now wants to approach the purest mysteries.

Irmos: Sing praises to the creatures of the Lord and exalt for all eternity God, who descended to the Hebrew youths into a fiery furnace and turned the flame into dew.

Create a pure heart in me, O God, and renew the spirit of righteousness in my interior.

My Savior, Christ God! Honor me, who has lost all hope of salvation, to be a partaker of the heavenly, terrible and holy mysteries and of Your Divine Mystery Supper.

Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.

Merciful! Running under Your mercy, I cry out to You with fear: Savior, as You Yourself said, abide in me and I - in You! Trusting in this mercy, here I am eating Your Body and drinking Your Blood.

Taking fire, I tremble, as if I would not burn up like wax and grass. O terrible sacrament! About the mercy of God! How do I, clay, partake of the Divine Body and Blood and remain unharmed?

Canto 9

Irmos: The Son of the Originless Father, God and the Lord, incarnate from the Virgin, appeared among us to enlighten the darkened, to gather the scattered, therefore we magnify the glorious Mother of God.

Create a pure heart in me, O God, and renew the spirit of righteousness in my interior.

Taste and see - this is Christ. The Lord, who for our sake has become like us, once offered Himself as a sacrifice to His Father, is always slain, sanctifying those who partake.

Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.

Vladyka, many merciful benefactor! Through the communion of the sacred mysteries, may I be sanctified in soul and body, may I be enlightened, may I be saved; may I be Your house, having You in me, together with the Father and the Spirit.

And now and ever, and forever and ever. Lady! God was incarnate of Your pure blood; therefore, every race and multitude of rational (beings) glorify You, because they have clearly understood that he who has taken human nature from You is the Lord of everything.

Holy Mother of God, save us!

Truly worthy to glorify You, Mother of God, always blessed and immaculate, Mother of our God. You are more honest (more honorable) than cherubim and incomparably more glorious than seraphim. We magnify you, who gave birth to God the Word incorruptibly.

Prayers before Communion

Lord Jesus Christ, our God, the source of life and immortality, the Creator of all creation visible and invisible, the Son of the beginningless Father, together with Him the eternal and beginningless, in the last days, through excessive mercy, clothed in flesh, crucified and buried for us, ungrateful and insensitive who renewed our nature damaged by sin with His blood! Immortal King Himself, accept repentance from me, a sinner, incline Your ear to me and hear what I will say: I have sinned, Lord, I have sinned before heaven and before You and am not worthy to raise my eyes to the height of Your glory, for I have angered Your mercy by transgressing Your commandments and not listening to Your commands.

But you, Lord, gentle, long-suffering and merciful, did not leave me to perish with my iniquities, waiting in every possible way for my conversion. You, loving man, yourself said through your prophet: “I definitely do not want the death of a sinner; but I want him to be converted and live. " So you do not want, O Lord, to destroy the creation of Your hands, you do not want to destroy people. But you want everyone to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Therefore, although I am not worthy of both heaven and earth, and this fleeting life, having given all of myself into slavery to sin and sensual pleasures, I have defiled Your image. But I, unfortunate, - Your creation and creation - do not lose hope for my salvation and begin, hoping for Your immeasurable mercy. And so, Christ-loving man, accept me as a harlot, as a robber, as a publican, as a prodigal son, and take off the heavy yoke of sin from me, You, who takes away the sins of the world, heals human infirmities, calls to you toiling and burdened people and calms them who came to call not the righteous to repentance, but sinners. Cleanse me from all impurity of body and spirit. Teach me to do a holy work with reverence for You, so that I, with an unashamed testimony of conscience, accepting a part of Your holy things, will unite with Your holy Body and Blood and have You in me, living and abiding with the Father and Your Holy Spirit.

Hey, Lord Jesus Christ, my God! May the communion of Thy pure and life-giving Mysteries not serve me as a condemnation, and may I not become from unworthy communion of them with a weak soul and body. Grant me, Lord, to my last breath, uncondemnedly accept part of Thy holy things into the communion of the Holy Spirit, into parting words of eternal life, into a favorable response at Thy terrible judgment, so that with all Thy elect I could participate in Thy incorruptible blessings, which You have prepared for those who love You. and for which you are blessed forever. Amen.

Oh my God! I know that I am unworthy and unfit for You to ascend under the roof of the house of my soul, because it is empty and tumbled down, and you will not find in me a place worthy to lay your head. But Thou didst appear on earth for our sake from a heavenly height in a humble form; condescend also now to my misery. And as You deigned to lie down in the cave and in the manger of dumb cattle, enter also into the manger of my foolish soul and into my sinful body. As I did not despise to enter and dine with sinners in the house of Simon the leper, deserve to enter the house of my wretched soul, a leper and a sinner. Just as You did not reject from Yourself a sinful whore like me, who came and touched You, have mercy on me too, sinners who come and touch You. And just as you did not abhor the filth of her defiled lips that kissed You, also do not abhor my lips that are even more unclean and filthy, and my disgusting, unclean and defiled lips, and my even more unclean tongue.

But may the coal of Your holy Body serve me, and Your honest Blood for the sanctification, enlightenment and strengthening of my wretched soul and body, to alleviate the severity of many of my sins, to preserve from all the influence of the devil, to remove and liberate from my evil and crafty skill, in the mortification of passions, in the preservation of Thy commandments, in the multiplication of Thy Divine grace, in the gain of Thy Kingdom. I come to You, Christ God, not with negligence, but with boldness to Your ineffable mercy, so that, deviating to long time from communication with You, I was not caught by a mental wolf, like a predatory beast.

Therefore, I pray to You: You, one holy Master, sanctify my soul and body, mind and heart, and all my insides, renew all of me, root Thy fear in my members, and make Thy sanctification unchanging in me. And be my help and shield, controlling my life in silence, deign me to stand on the right side with Your Angels, through the prayers and intercession of Your Most Pure Mother, Your disembodied servants and most pure powers and all the saints who have pleased You from the beginning of the world. Amen.

The one pure and incorruptible Lord, through unspeakable compassion and love for mankind, who took upon Himself all our complex nature from the pure and immaculate blood of the Virgin, who supernaturally gave you the Divine Spirit by the influx and favor of the eternal Father, Christ Jesus, the Wisdom of God, and peace and strength! You, the flesh perceived by You, who have accepted life-giving and saving sufferings: the Cross, nails, spear, death, - mortify my bodily passions that are destructive to the soul. By your burial who has devastated the kingdom of hell, bury my evil intentions with good thoughts and scatter the spirits of evil. Thou hast raised up the fallen forefather by Thy life-giving resurrection on the third day, raise me up, who slipped by sin, offering me the means to repentance. By Thy glorious ascension, the flesh received, deified, and who gave it the honor to sit on the right of the Father, honor me with the communion of Thy holy Sacraments on the right side of those who are being saved. By the descent of the Comforter Spirit, who made Thy holy disciples precious vessels, make me a repository of His coming. Coming again to righteously judge the universe! Grant me also to meet in the clouds with all Your saints You, my Creator and My Creator, so that I endlessly glorify and praise You, with Your beginningless Father and all-holy, and good and life-giving Your Spirit, now, and always, and forever and ever. Amen.

Master Lord Jesus Christ, our God, merciful and benevolent, alone who has the power to forgive sins to people, despise (forget), forgive all my sins, conscious and unconscious, and grant me without condemnation to partake of Your divine, glorious, pure and life-giving Mysteries not in punishment, not in the multiplication of sins, but in cleansing, sanctification, as a pledge of the future life and kingdom, in a firm stronghold, in defense, in the defeat of enemies, in the destruction of many of my sins. For You are the God of mercy and generosity, and love for mankind, and we glorify You with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now, and ever, and forever and ever. Amen.

I know, Lord, that I unworthily partake of Your most pure Body and Your honest Blood, and am guilty, and I eat and drink condemnation to myself, not realizing that it is Your Body and Blood, Christ and my God. But, hoping for Your mercy, I come to You, who said: "He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood, he abides in Me, and I in him." Have mercy, Lord, and do not reprove me as a sinner, but walk with me according to Your mercy, and may this Shrine serve me for healing, cleansing, enlightenment, for the protection, salvation and sanctification of soul and body, for driving away all dreams and deceit, and the attacks of the devil, acting through thought in me - in boldness and love for You, in correcting life and strengthening it, in increasing virtue and perfection, in fulfilling the commandments, in communion with the Holy Spirit, in parting words for eternal life, in a favorable response at your last judgment, not as condemnation.

From dirty lips, from a vile heart, from an unclean tongue, from a defiled soul, accept the prayer, my Christ, and without rejecting either my words, neither my temper, nor shamelessness, let me freely say what I want, my Christ, but it is better also teach me what to do and say. I have sinned more than the harlot, who, having learned where you are, having bought the mvr, dared to come to anoint your feet, my Christ, my Lord and my God. How did you not reject her, who came from a pure heart, do not disdain me too, Word! Allow me both to hold and kiss Your feet, and with a stream of tears, as boldly to anoint them with precious mvrom. Wash me with my tears, cleanse me with them, Word! Let go of my sins and grant me forgiveness. You know many vices, you know my wounds, and you see my sores, but you also know my faith, and you see my diligence, and you hear my groans. Not hidden from You, my God, my Creator, my Redeemer, not a drop of tears, not a drop of a certain part. Thy eyes have noticed what I have not completed, but in Thy book is also what has not yet been done recorded with Thee. Look at my humility, see what my suffering is, and forgive me all sins, O God of the universe, so that with a pure heart, trembling thought and contrite soul, I commune of Your most pure and all-holy Sacraments, by which everyone who eats You and drinks with a sincere heart. After all, You said, my Lord: "Everyone who eats My Flesh, just like anyone who drinks My Blood, he abides in Me, and I am in him." In everything, the word of my Master and my God is true: after partaking of the divine and deifying Gifts, I really am not alone, but with You, my Christ, Light, bright like three suns, enlightening the world. Therefore, so that I might not be left alone, without You, the Giver's life, my breath, my life, my joy, the salvation of the world, I came to You, as You see, with tears and a broken soul, begging to receive me deliverance. from my sins and your life of giving and immaculate Sacraments to receive communion not in condemnation; so that you remain, as you have said, with me, thrice unfortunate; so that the seducer, finding me deprived of Thy grace, would not kidnap me cunningly and, deceiving me, would not take me away from Thy words that deify. Therefore, I fall at Your feet and fervently appeal to You: as You received the prodigal son and the harlot who came to You, so accept, O Merciful, me, the prodigal and impure, who is now coming to You with a broken soul. I know, Savior, that no one else has sinned against You like me, and has not done the works that I have done. But I also know that neither the severity of sins, nor the multitude of sins, surpasses my God in much patience and great love for mankind, but with merciful compassion You both cleanse and enlighten those who ardently repent, and you commune with the light, generously making them partakers of Your Divinity; and - which is wondrous to both Angels and human thoughts - you converse with them many times, as with your true friends. It gives me courage, it gives me wings, my Christ! And, boldly relying on Thy blessings rich to us, rejoicing and trembling together, I, the grass, partake of the fire, and I happen - a wondrous miracle - we irrigate inexplicably, like in ancient times a thorn bush that burned without burning. So, with a grateful thought and a grateful heart, with all my grateful feelings, of my soul and body, I worship, and magnify, and praise You, my God, as blessed both now and forever.

God! Let go, allow, forgive my sins that I committed in word, deed, thought, voluntarily or involuntarily, consciously or unconsciously, and, as merciful and humane, grant me forgiveness in everything. And through the prayers of Your Most Pure Mother, Your intelligent servants and holy forces (angels) and all the saints who have pleased You from the beginning of the world, please me without condemnation to accept Your holy and most pure Body and honest Blood for the healing of soul and body and for the purification of my bad thoughts ... For Thine is the kingdom and power and glory, of the Father and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer is his

Lord Lord! I am not worthy for You to enter under the roof of my soul, but since You, as a man-loving person, want to live in me, I approach with boldness. You command that I open the doors created by You alone, and You would enter them with your characteristic philanthropy. You enter and enlighten my darkened thought. I believe that you will do this, for you did not leave the harlot who came to you with tears, did not reject the publican who brought repentance, did not drive away the robber who knew your kingdom, and did not leave the persecutor who turned to you what he was. , but all those who turned to You through repentance, You placed among Your friends. You alone are blessed always, now and in endless centuries. Amen.

Prayer is his

Lord Jesus Christ, my God! Let go, allow, cleanse and forgive me, Thy servant, sins, crimes, falls and everything that I have sinned from my youth to the present day and hour - consciously or unconsciously, in words, deeds, intentions, thoughts, activities and in all my feelings, - and through my prayers, seedlessly (without a husband) who gave birth to You, the Most Pure Ever-Virgin Mary, Your Mother, the only undoubted hope, intercessor and salvation of my eternal life, in sanctification and enlightenment, strengthening, healing and health of the soul and body, in the destruction and complete elimination of my impure thoughts, thoughts, enterprises and night dreams, dark and evil spirits. For Thine is the kingdom, power, honor and worship together with the Father and Thy Holy Spirit, now and ever, and forever and ever. Amen.

I already stand before the doors of Your temple, and impure thoughts do not leave me. But you, Christ God, who justified the publican, who had mercy on the Canaanite woman and who opened (opened) the doors of paradise to the robber, open the doors of your love for mankind to me and accept me, who comes and touches you, like a harlot and bleeding. As soon as she touched the hem of your garment, she was immediately healed; the other, clutching at Thy most pure feet, received the permission of her sins. I am accursed, daring to accept your whole body, so I will not be disgraced (burned). But accept me as those two, and enlighten the feelings of my soul, burning out sinful inclinations, through the prayers of the Immaculate One who gave you birth and through the prayers of heavenly powers. For you are blessed forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer of St. John Chrysostom

(read by the priest when taking out the cup)

I believe, Lord, and I confess that You are truly the Christ, the Son of the living God, who came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the first. I also believe that this is Thy most pure Body, and this is Thy honest Blood. Therefore, I pray to You: have mercy on me and forgive me my sins, voluntary and involuntary, which (I did) in words and deeds, consciously and unconsciously, and honor me uncondemnedly to partake of Your most pure Sacraments for the remission of sins and eternal life. Amen.

Son of God! Grant me today to be a partaker of Your mysterious Supper. I will not reveal the sacraments to Your enemies, and I will not give You a kiss, like Judas, but, like a robber, I confess You. Remember me, Lord, in Your Kingdom! May the communion of Thy most pure Mysteries, O Lord, be not condemnation to me, but for the healing of soul and body. Amen

Coming to communion, say the following verses of Simeon Metaphrastus within yourself.

Here I proceed to Divine Communion,

Do not disgrace me, Creator, with this communion,

For You are the fire that burns the unworthy;

But cleanse me from all impurity.

Then: Your mysterious supper / this day, Son of God, accept me. / For I will not tell the secret to Your enemies, / I will not give You a kiss, such as Judas. / But as a robber I confess You: / “Remember me, Lord, in Your kingdom! "

And poems: Shudder, man, seeing the deifying Blood: / for it is a burning coal, scorching unworthy. / The Body of God both adores me and nourishes: / adores the spirit, but the mind nourishes incomprehensibly.

And the troparia: You attracted me with love, Christ, / and betrayed me with a divine striving for You. / But burn my sins with insubstantial fire / and grant me pleasure in You, / so that I, exulting, magnify / Your two coming, Good.

Into the bright host of Thy saints / how will I enter, unworthy? / After all, if I dare to enter the bridal chamber with them, / the clothes convict me, / for they are not going to be married to the wrong one, / and, bound, I will be expelled by the Angels. / Cleanse, Lord, the filth of my soul / and save me as a lover of mankind.

And again: Your mysterious supper / this day, Son of God, accept me. / For I will not tell the secret to Your enemies, / I will not give You a kiss, such as Judas. / But as a robber I confess You: / “Remember me, Lord, in Your kingdom! "

Prayers after Communion

Glory to You, God! Glory to You, God! Glory to You, God!

First prayer

I thank Thee, O Lord my God, that Thou didst not reject me as a sinner, but vouchsafed me to be a participant in Thy holy things. I thank You for vouching for me, an unworthy one, to partake of Thy most pure and heavenly gifts. But, O humane Vladyka, who died and rose again for us, and who gave us these terrible and life-giving Your mysteries for the benefit and sanctification of our souls and bodies! Give them to me in the healing of soul and body, in the reflection of every enemy, in the enlightenment of the eyes of my heart, in the pacification of my spiritual strength, in the shameful faith, in unfeigned love, in the multiplication of wisdom, in the fulfillment of Thy commandments, in the multiplication of Thy grace and the assimilation of Thy kingdom, so that I, guarded by them in Your sanctification, always remember Your grace and live not for myself, but for You, our Lord and benefactor. And so, having finished real life with the hope of eternal life, he attained eternal rest, where (one can hear) the unceasing voice of those who enjoy bliss and the infinite joy of those who contemplate the ineffable beauty of Thy face, for You, Christ our God, are true delight and inexpressible joy of those who love You and You. praise all creatures forever. Amen.

Prayer of St. Basil the Great

Lord Christ God, King of the ages and Creator of everything! I thank You for all the blessings that You have bestowed upon me in receiving Your pure and life-giving mysteries. I beg Thee, merciful and benevolent, keep me under Thy shelter and in the shadow of Thy wings and grant me to my last breath with a clear conscience worthy to partake of Thy holy things for the remission of sins and for eternal life. For You are the bread of life, the source of holiness, the giver of blessings, and we send glory to You together with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and forever and ever. Amen.

Who gave me Thy flesh voluntarily, Thou art a fire that burns the unworthy! Do not burn me, my Creator, better go into the members of my body, into all the joints, in the insides, in the heart, and burn the thorns of all my sins. Cleanse your soul, sanctify your thoughts, fix your knees with bones together, enlighten the five main senses, nail me all over with fear of You. Always protect, guard and take care of me from every deed and word harmful to the soul. Cleanse, wash and arrange me; decorate, educate and enlighten me. Show me Thy abode, one Spirit, and no longer the abode of sin, so that every villain, every passion, after taking the Sacrament, flees from me as from Thy house, like from fire. As intercessors for myself, I represent to You all the saints, the Chiefs of ethereal armies, Your Forerunner, the wise Apostles, and above them - Your immaculate, pure Mother. Accept their prayers, my merciful Christ, and make Thy servant a son of light. For Thou, the only Good One, is the sanctification, as well as the radiance of our souls, and to Thee, as befits God and the Master, we all glorify glory every day.

Prayer four

Lord Jesus Christ, our God! Thy holy body be to me for everlasting life and thy honest blood - for the remission of sins. May this (supper) of thanksgiving be to me for joy, health and joy. In the terrible second coming of Yours, grant me a sinner to stand on the right side of Your glory through the prayers of Your Most Pure Mother and all the saints.

Prayer to the Most Holy Theotokos

Most Holy Lady Theotokos, the light of my darkened soul, hope, cover, refuge, consolation, my joy! I thank You for honoring me, an unworthy one, to partake of the most pure Body and honest Blood of Your Son. But, who gave birth to true light, enlighten the spiritual eyes of my heart! Having produced the source of immortality, revive me, who was killed by sin! As the merciful Mother of the merciful God, have mercy on me and grant my heart tenderness and contrition, my thoughts - modesty and liberation from the captivity of my thoughts. Grant me, to my last breath, to accept without condemnation the sanctification of the most pure sacraments for the healing of soul and body. And give me tears of repentance and confession to sing and glorify You all the days of my life; for you are blessed and glorified forever. Amen.

Now you let Thy servant go, Master, according to Thy word, in peace; for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the face of all people, the light for the enlightenment of the Gentiles and the glory of your people Israel (

The practice of confession has existed in churches since ancient times, but not many parishioners decide on the sacrament of repentance. There are many reasons: they do not understand what kind of action it is, they do not know how to prepare for it. In fact, preparation does not take much time and does not cost money. Learn more about what to do before confession.

How to prepare for confession

A person who wants to confess must understand that he will repent not to the priest, who is only a witness, but to God. He is faced with the task of blaming himself for sins without justifying them. It is not enough to briefly talk about what you have done, you need to be aware of everything that has been said and understand that it ruins life. As a rule, preparation for confession takes a certain amount of time so that a person can collect his thoughts.

An important point preparation is considered a fast, the duration of which is discussed individually with the priest. If a sick person, a pregnant or lactating woman, or someone who takes communion is going to confess, they are given relaxation. For everyone else, fasting lasts about 3 days. Dairy products, any meat, eggs are prohibited. If these days come across a church post, fish should also be excluded from the diet. Cereals, vegetables, fruits, dried fruits, nuts are allowed.

It is important not only to limit yourself in food, but also to change your lifestyle. It is unacceptable to continue going to entertainment establishments, watching entertainment programs, spending days in idleness. Preparing for confession is to talk to your soul, finish things postponed for later, remember forgotten people, give up bad habits.

List of sins before confession

For those who have not previously attended the sacrament, in preparation, it is recommended to make a list of sins on a piece of paper so as not to forget. When finished, the paper can be handed over to the priest for incineration. You do not have to voice the sins yourself, but give the list of sins to read to the priest. In the note, laconic, concise entries with enumerations without decoding are desirable. For example, if a husband cheated on his wife, the list should be written briefly, without explanation - adultery. If a person is constantly at enmity with relatives, there is no need to talk about the cause of the conflict, but to write - condemnation of relatives.

There is an opinion that leaflets with sins only interfere with concentration and turn the sacrament into something formal. For this reason, if a person does a good job without a list, it is advisable not to use it. In preparation, you can make short reminders on the recommended samples. For example, compile separate lists of sins against God, sins against humanity. Call things by their proper names, using not a broken church language, but your native language (in our case, Russian).

What to read before confession

How to Prepare for Confession? The purpose of the conversation with the priest is not a story about your life, but a repentance of the heart. If you go without preparation, without the intention to reform and repent, confession will be fruitless and empty. It is very important to read Orthodox literature: the New Testament, the Gospel, the Prayer Book, it is advisable to familiarize yourself with the book "The Experience of Building Confession" by I. Krestyankin. Before the sacrament, it is imperative to read prayers.

Prayer before confession

During the preparation for confession and communion, the believer's body and spirit are purified. The first is achieved by abstinence and repentance, the second by prayers. It is imperative to pray in the mornings and evenings at home, in addition, attend evening services. Of the prayers, the "Prayer Before Confession" is obligatory - it can be found in any prayer book. Reading it, the believer will receive humility in his soul, draw closer to God, and so on.

Penitential Canon before confession

The unwritten rules of confession are such that the believer needs to familiarize himself with the canon of repentance, which fully reveals the essence of repentance. The work can be found in the Orthodox prayer book. The penitential canon is a kind of cry, calling on a person to mourn his sins and all the bad deeds of mankind from the very beginning of the world. The work is composed in such a way that the author considered himself a sinner, and this thought sounds like a leitmotif from beginning to end. The commandments encourage the reader to realize his soul and throw dark thoughts out of it.

How to confess in church

If a person comes to the temple for the first time, it is worth choosing a time when the priest is not very busy. Least of all people on weekdays. You need to personally contact the priest, ask him to set a time for a conversation and ask about the preparation for confession. In churches, worship is also practiced with a gathering of people. In this case, you need to wait for your turn, then go to the priest, introduce yourself, bow your head. Sins should be enumerated when dealing with the Lord God. At the end, the priest reads a prayer, after which one should kiss the cross, the hand of the priest.

If the priest does not have the opportunity to receive everyone, he can use a general confession. How is confession going in the church in this case? Having gathered people, the priest lists the most common sins and they repent. Then everyone comes up to the priest for a prayer of permission. General confession is not suitable for those who have never confessed or have serious sin.

What sins to list in confession

It is necessary to repent of sins committed by deeds, words or thoughts. It is recommended to remember those that appeared during the time after the last repentance. For the first time, you need to try to remember all the main things that have happened since the age of six. You should not talk about everything in detail, it is better to only voice specific sins, without hiding a single secret. For those who find it difficult, priests recommend compiling a complete list and, if necessary, reading it. It is imperative to include sins against Christ and against neighbors.

How to behave in confession

  1. In the church, you should respect the sacred place: do not make noise, do not draw attention to yourself.
  2. Women are forbidden to enter the altar, men - only with the permission of the priest.
  3. When a name is asked for confession, the name given at baptism should be named.
  4. If the sacrament is performed with a crowd of people, there is no need to confuse the confessors. One should not crowd around, listen to other people's sins.
  5. If confession is the first, you should warn about it - the priest will certainly provide all possible help.

Video: how to prepare for confession

We are all sinners before our Lord, but according to the Bible, everyone deserves forgiveness. Unfortunately, today you rarely meet honest, truthful and sinless people. But this does not mean that it is too late to fix everything.

By confessing and repenting of your Sins, you can truly earn forgiveness. After all, repentance and sincere regret for what you have done will help cleanse your soul. The only question is how to do it correctly?

Repentance and confession

As is known, confession is a sacrament that occurs between the sinner and God through repentance before oneself and the priest. Of course, as before any other ritual, the ritual of repentance requires appropriate preparation.

For those who do not know anything about confession or the sacrament, it is recommended that they familiarize themselves with the very principle of this sacrament.

The very essence of confession lies in repentance, so before going to church, you should think carefully about your sins.

We will have to remember and rethink our most terrible and sinful atrocities. The main sins requiring repentance include:

  • Sins against God (anger against the Lord and his providence, doubts in faith ...);
  • Sins against one's neighbor (theft, adultery, murder ...);
  • Sins against oneself (despondency, envy, pride, foul language ...).

Some priests recommend that you write down everything mentioned on a piece of paper. Such a sheet should be carefully re-read, each time repenting for every sin, and sincerely promise God and yourself to get off the unrighteous path.

As soon as a person manages to really realize all the lies of his actions, repent of them and stop committing such acts - you can go for the next part of the preparation for confession and communion.

In addition to repentance, one should ask for forgiveness not only from the Lord, but also from oneself. A person must come to terms with his own sins and let them go, promise himself to follow faith and its laws, never to anger God and himself.

In addition to sincere atonement for sinful deeds, one who asks God for mercy must necessarily believe in the remission of his sins and forgiveness, otherwise the confession will not give the desired result.

Redemption from sins does not only mean cleansing the spirit from defilement but also the body from all burdening... Before embarking on confession, one should go through a week (or at least three days) holy fast.

You should refuse to eat food of animal origin: dairy products, meat, eggs. Fish should also be eliminated from the diet. The use of alcoholic beverages, drugs and tobacco is strictly prohibited.

Intimacy should be avoided... Women cannot prepare for confession during menstruation.

In addition, fasting before the sacrament implies the exclusion of all entertainment (computer games, watching TV, gambling).

Fasting and repentance for sins, although the most important, are not the final stage in preparation for repentance. Preparing for the sacrament requires reciting prayers... You should first familiarize yourself with what prayers to read before confession and communion before you start fasting. Each stage of cleansing is accompanied by certain prayers or canons, which must be read with faith in the Lord's forgiveness.

Prayer is a personal appeal of a person to God. It helps to turn to the Lord with a request for atonement and forgiveness of sinful actions and thoughts. Sincerely repenting and saying a prayer, people ask for the gift of strength to fight sinful passions and vices, as well as for mercy in simple human needs.

In preparation for Confession and Communion a person on the days of fasting must necessarily read the appropriate prayers, while reading them both in the morning and before going to bed. In addition to prayers, at least one of the canons is required for daily reading.

Penitential canons

Common communion preparation for beginners includes reading:

Before the sacrament ritual itself, you should additionally read "Follow-up to Holy Communion." As for morning and evening prayers, you can read any prayer of repentance. You can also read Our Father with deep repentance and faith in forgiveness.

On the eve of visiting the temple

The evening before confession and communion is one of the most difficult stages of preparation.

From midnight until the very end of the service in the Temple, you should refuse any food and water.

For the usual reading of the canons of repentance and prayers, one should read the canons of repentance before confession and prayer for repentance.

In the morning, after reading the canons and prayers, you should go to the Temple to participate in worship... It is important to remember that until the end of the Confession and Holy Communion, one must neither eat nor drink. It is imperative to defend the entire service, carefully listening and perceiving every word of the clergyman. As soon as the service is over, you can turn to the priest for a confession.

God should expound all his sins and once again repent of them. Precisely to God, because the priest is only a mediator and grants forgiveness exclusively on behalf of Our Lord.

Reconciled with yourself and God, you should also be sure to thank him for forgiveness and ask for the strength to lead an honest and Orthodox life. After you have confessed, you can start communion.

Canon of repentance to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Who creates such, as I am? As if the pig is in the feces, this is how I serve sin. But Thou, O Lord, pull me out of this reproach and give me in my heart to do Thy commandments.
Glory: Rise up, accursed man, to God, remembering your sins, falling to the Creator, weeping and groaning; The same one, as if he was merciful, will give his mind to the nobility his will.
And now: Virgin Mary, save me from visible and invisible evil, O Most Pure One, and accept my prayers, and convey to Thy Son, so that my mind may do His will.
Kontakion:
My soul, why are you richer in sins, why do you do the will of the devil, put your hope in it? Stop from these and turn to God with a cry, crying: Lord, have mercy on me, a sinner.

Have mercy on me, God, have mercy on me.
Do not trust, my soul, in bodily health and beauty that is passing by, see more, as the strong and the young are dying; but cry out: have mercy on me, Christ God, the unworthy one.
Glory: Remember, my soul, eternal life, the Kingdom of Heaven, prepared for the saints, and the pitch darkness and the wrath of God to the evil, and cry: have mercy on me, Christ God, unworthy.

Why can't the imam cry when I think of death, see my brother lying in the grave, disgraceful and ugly? What do I have for tea, and what do I hope for? Tokmo give me, Lord, before the end repentance (twice).
Glory: I believe that you come to judge the living and the dead, and all will become in their rank, old and young, lords and princes, virgins and priests; where will I find myself? For this, I cry: grant me, O Lord, repentance before the end.
And now: Most Pure Mother of God, accept my unworthy prayer and save me from insolent death, and grant me repentance before the end.

Canto 9

Irmos: It is impossible to see God as a man, the rulers of Angelia do not dare to look at the Worthless; By Thee, O All-Pure, the Word is incarnate, His Majesty, with heavenly howls We please thee.
Have mercy on me, God, have mercy on me.
Now I run to you, Angels, Archangels and all heavenly powers standing at the Throne of God, pray to your Creator, may he deliver my soul from eternal torment.
Have mercy on me, God, have mercy on me.
Now I cry to you, holy patriarchs, tsar and prophets, apostles and saint and all the elect of Christ: help me at the judgment, may he save my soul from the power of the enemy.
Glory: Now I will lift up to you the hand, the holy of the martyr, the hermitage, the virgin, the righteous, and all the holy, praying to the Lord for the whole world, may he have mercy on me at the hour of my death.
And now: Mother of God, help me, who hopes more strongly in Thee, pray to His Son, let him put me unworthy at His right hand, when he sits down to judge the living and the dead, amen.

Prayer to the Lord:
O Lord Christ God, He who healed with His passions and Healed my ulcers with His ulcers, grant me, who have sinned much, tears of tenderness; dissolve my body from the smell of Thy Life-giving Body, and sweeten my soul with Thy Honest Blood from sorrow, give me a drink of it, too; Raise my mind to You, drooping down, and erect from the abyss of destruction: as if it is not an imam of repentance, not an imam of affection, not an imam of comforting tears that elevates children to their inheritance. Clouded by the mind in worldly passions, I cannot gaze at You in illness, I cannot warm myself with tears, even to You in love. But, Lord Jesus Christ, the treasure of the good, grant me complete repentance and a heart of love for Thy seeking, grant me Thy grace and renew the eyes of Thy image in me. Leave Thee, do not leave me; go out to seek mine, lead to Thy pasture and bring me to the sheep of Thy chosen flock, educate me with them from the cereal of Thy Divine Sacraments, through the prayers of Thy Most Pure Mother and all Thy saints. Amen.

A canon of prayer to the Most Holy Theotokos.

Sung in all sorrow of the soul and circumstances. The creation of Theostirictos the monk

Troparion to the Mother of God, voice 4:
To the Mother of God, we are diligently now a dear, sinful and humble, and we will fall, in repentance calling from the depths of our soul: Lady, help, have mercy on us, sweat, we are perishing from many sins, do not turn away Your slaves vain, You and one hope of the imams (twice) ...
Glory, and now: We will never keep silent, Mother of God, Your power to speak unworthy: if you wouldn’t have to pray, who would have saved us from a bit of trouble, who would have kept us free to this day? We will not retreat, Lady, from You: Your servants will save you ever from all fierce ones.

Psalm 50:
Have mercy on me, O God, according to Thy great mercy, and according to the multitude of Thy compassions, cleanse my iniquity. Wash me most of all from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin; for I know my iniquity, and my sin is before me I will take out. Thee, who alone have sinned, and have done good in front of Thee; as if you were justified in your words, and conquer from time to time to judge Ti. Behold, in transgressions I am conceived, and in sins bore me my mother. Behold, you loved the truth; Thy unknown and secret wisdom Thou hast revealed to me. Sprinkle me with hyssop, and I will be cleansed; wash me, and I will be white as snow. Give joy and joy to my hearing; the bones of the humble will be reborn. Turn away Thy face from my sins, and cleanse all my iniquity. Build a pure heart in me, O God, and renew the spirit of rights in my womb. Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me. Reward with me the joy of Thy salvation, and with the Spirit of the Lord confirm me. I will teach the wicked in Thy way, and the wicked will turn to Thee. Deliver me from the blood, O God, God of my salvation; my tongue will rejoice in Thy righteousness. O Lord, open my mouth, and my mouth shall declare Thy praise. As if you would have wanted sacrifices, you would have given them: do not favor burnt offerings. The sacrifice to God the spirit is broken; a contrite and humble heart God will not despise. Bless, O Lord, with Thy good pleasure Zion, and may the walls of Jerusalem be built. Then favor the sacrifice of righteousness, the offering and the burnt offering; then they will lay calves on your altar.

Canon to the Most Holy Theotokos, Tone 8, Canto 1:
The water passed as if it were dry, and escaping the Egyptian evil, the Israelite cried out: We will give food to the deliverer and our God.

I contain many misfortunes, I run to You, seeking salvation: oh, Mother of the Word and the Virgin, save me from the heavy and fierce.
Holy Mother of God, save us.
Passions confuse me, lay down, fill my soul with much despondency; die, O maiden, by the silence of your Son and Thy God, O All-blameless.
Glory: Salvation that gave birth to Thee and God, I pray, Virgin, be saved from the fierce ones: now I come running to Thee, I extend both my soul and my thoughts.
And now: Unafraid in body and soul, grant the divine visit and providence from Thee, one God, like a good one, but a Good Parent.

Song 3

Heavenly circle is Supreme, O Lord, and to the Church of the Creator, Thou shalt confirm me in Thy love, desires for the kray, faithful affirmation, only Human-loving.
Holy Mother of God, save us.
Representation and the covering of my life I put to Thee, the Mother of God the Virgin: Thou shalt feed me to Thy shelter, the good are guilty; true statement, one is all-singing.
Holy Mother of God, save us.
I pray, Virgin, my spiritual confusion and sorrows to destroy my storm: You, God-bridal, have given birth to the head of the silence of Christ, the Most Pure One.
Glory: Benefactor giving birth to good guilty, good deeds flow wealth to all, all that is possible, as strong in the fortress of Christ having given birth, God-blessed.
And now: With fierce ailments and painful passions tortured, Virgo, Thou help me: for healings, I know a treasure, Immaculate, inexorable.
Save your servants from troubles, the Mother of God, as if we all run to You according to Bose, like an indestructible wall and intercession.
Look with mercy, all-chanting Mother of God, anger on my fierce body, and heal my soul's illness.
Troparion, voice 2:
The prayer is warm and the wall is impenetrable, mercy is a source, a refuge for the world, diligently crying to Ty: Mother of God, preface, and save us from troubles, one who will soon represent.

Song 4

Hearing, O Lord, the look of Thy sacrament, understanding of Thy deeds and glorifying Thy Divinity.
Confusion of my passions, giving birth to the Lord at the helm, and calm down the storm of my sins, God-bridal.
Thy mercy, the abyss calling to give me, even more gracious and giving birth to the Salvation of all who sing Thee.
Delighting, Most Pure, of Your gifts, we sing graciously singing, leading Thee Mother of God.
Glory: On the bed of my illness and infirmity I am lying down, as if Benevolent, help, the Mother of God, one Ever-ever.
And now: Hope and affirmation and salvation against the wall of immovable property You, all-singing, we get rid of everyone's inconvenience.

Song 5

Enlighten us with Thy command, O Lord, and with Thy high arm, give Thy peace to us, Human-loving.
Fulfill, Pure, my heart with joy, Your imperishable, giving joy, giving birth to joy to the guilty.
Deliver us from troubles, pure Mother of God, eternal giving birth to deliverance, and peace, every mind prevailing.
Glory: Allow the darkness of my sins, God-bride, by the enlightenment of Your Lordship, the Light that gives birth to the Divine and eternal.
And now: Heal, O Pure One, my soul's sickness, worthy of Thy visitation, and grant me health with Thy prayers.

Song 6

I will pour out a prayer to the Lord, and to Him I will proclaim my sorrows, as my soul will be filled with evil, and my belly will draw near to hell, and I pray as Jonah: from aphids, God, raise me up.
Death and aphids as if saved there, Xia Himself published death, decay and death my nature, which was, Virgin, pray to the Lord and Thy Son, to save the enemies of evil deeds.
We are the representative of Thee of the belly and the keeper of the firm, Virgo, and I solve the misfortunes of rumors, and drive away the taxes of demons; and I always pray to save me from the aphids of my passions.
Glory: Like a wall of refuge with zealots, and souls are all-perfect salvation, and space in sorrows, Young Woman, and we are ever rejoicing in Thy enlightenment: O, Lady, and now save us from passions and troubles.
And now: On a bed now I lie weak, and there is no healing of my flesh: but, God and the Savior of the world and the Deliverer of ailments, I pray to You, Good: raise me sickness from aphids.
Kondak, voice 6:
The representation of Christians is not shameful, intercession to the Creator is immutable, do not despise the sinful prayers of the voice, but anticipate, like the Good One, to help us, who are rightly calling Ti; speed up to prayer, and sweat for supplication, presenting always, to the Mother of God, who honor Thee.
Another kondak, the same voice:
Not imams of any other help, not imams of any other hope, except for You, Most Pure Virgin. You help us, we hope in You, and we boast of You, Yours are servants, so we will not be ashamed.
Stanza, the voice is the same:
Do not entrust me to human representation, Most Holy Lady, but accept the prayer of Your servant: sorrow will hold me back, I cannot endure demonic shooting, the cover is not imam, below where I will run, accursed, always conquer, and consolation is not imam, unless You, Lady of the world, the hope and representation of the faithful, do not despise my prayer, do it profitably.

Canto 7

From Judea, youths came down, in Babylon sometimes, by faith in the Trinity, the cave's flame asked, singing: Fathers, God, blessed art.
Our salvation, as if you wanted to, Spase, arrange it, you dwelt in the womb of the Virgin, You showed the representative to the world: our father, God, blessed are you.
The Lord of mercy, Thou hast given birth to Him, pure Mother, beg to be saved from sins and spiritual defilements by faith calling: our father, God, blessed are you.
Glory: The Treasure of salvation and the Source of incorruption, Who gave birth to Thee, and the pillar of confirmation, and the door of repentance, Thou didst show to those who called: our father, God, blessed art Thou.
And now: Bodily weakness and mental ailments, Mother of God, love those approaching Thy shelter, Virgin, vouchsafe to heal, Christ giving birth to us.

Canto 8

The King of Heaven, the warriors of the angels sing him, praise and exalt for all eternity.
Do not despise any help from Thee, Devo, who sing and exalt Thee for ever.
Heal my soul's infirmity and bodily diseases, Virgin, so I will glorify Thee, Pure, forever.
Glory: Pour out riches of healings faithfully to those who sing Thee, Virgin, and exalt Thy ineffable Christmas.
And now: Thou hast chased away misfortunes and found passions, Virgin: we sing the same to Thee for all eternity.

Canto 9

Truly we confess Theotokos to Thee, saved by Thee, virgin pure, with incorporeal faces of Thee majestically.
Do not turn away from the current of my tears, Even from every face every tear weaned away, Virgin, giving birth to Christ.
Fill my heart with joy, Virgo, Even accepting joy, consuming sinful sorrow.
The refuge and representation of those who come running to You, Virgo, and the indestructible wall, but refuge and cover and gladness.
Glory: Enlighten Thy Light with light, Virgin, drive away the darkness of ignorance, faithfully confessing Theotokos.
And now: In the place of bitterness, the infirmity of the humbled one, Virgin, heal, from unhealthy to health transforming.
Stanza, voice 2nd:
The highest of heaven and the purest lordships of the sun, who have saved us from the oath, we will honor the Lady of the world with songs.
From many of my sins my body is weak, and my soul is weak; I run to You, More Graceful, hopelessly unreliable, You help me.
Lady and Mother of the Redeemer, accept the prayer of Thy servants unworthy, and intercede with Him who is born of You; Oh, Lady of the world, wake the Khodatitsa!
We sing diligently to Thee a song now, to the all-chanted Mother of God, joyfully: with the Forerunner and all the saints, pray to the Mother of God, hedgehog the hedgehog.
All the angels of the army, the Forerunner of the Lord, the twelve apostles, all holy with the Mother of God, create a prayer, in the hedgehog we will be saved.

Prayers to the Most Holy Theotokos:
My blessed queen, my hope to the Theotokos, friend of the orphaned and strange to the representative, grieving for joy, offended by the patroness! Behold my misfortune, behold my sorrow, help me as I am weak, feed me as strange. My grievance is weighing, resolve that, as if you will: as if there is no other help for You, not for another representative, not for a good comforter, only for You, O God, as if you can preserve me and cover me forever and ever. Amen.
To whom shall I cry, Lady? To whom shall I resort in my sorrow, if not to You, Queen of Heaven? Who will receive my lamentation and my sighing, if not You, Most Immaculate One, the hope of Christians and a refuge for us sinners? Who else will protect you in adversity? Hear my groaning, and incline Thy ear to me, the Lady of the Mother of my God, and do not despise me, who requires Thy help, and do not reject me, a sinner. Enlighten and teach me, Queen of Heaven; do not depart from me, Thy servant, Lady, for my murmuring, but wake me Mother and my intercessor. I entrust myself with Thy merciful protection: bring me, a sinner, to a quiet and serene life, and lament for my sins. To whom shall the guilty I run, if not to You, the hope and refuge of sinners, the hope of Thy ineffable mercy and Thy compassion? Oh, Lady Queen of Heaven! You are my hope and refuge, protection and intercession and help. My beloved queen and quick intercessor! Cover my sins with Your intercession, protect me from the enemies visible and invisible; soften the hearts of wicked people who rise up against me. Oh, Mothers of my Lord Creator! You are the root of virginity and the unfading color of purity. Oh, Mother of God! Thou shalt give me help to those who are weak with fleshly passions and a sick heart, Thy is one and Thy Son and our God Imam intercession with Thee; and by Thy wonderful intercession, may I be saved from all misfortune and misfortune, O most blameless and most glorious God Mother Mary. The same, with hope, I say and cry: Rejoice, gracious, rejoice, rejoiced; rejoice, blessed one, the Lord is with you.

Canon to the Guardian Angel.

Troparion, voice 6:
To the angel of God, my holy guardian, observe my belly in the passion of Christ God, strengthen my mind in the true path, and bite my soul to the love of the heavens, so that we are guided by you, I will receive great mercy from Christ God.

Prayer to the Guardian Angel:
To the holy angel of Christ, I pray to you, my holy guardian, given to me for the observance of my sinful soul and body from holy baptism, but with my laziness and my evil custom, I anger your most pure grace and drive you away from me with all the cold deeds: lies, slander , envy, condemnation, contempt, disobedience, brotherly hatred, and malice, avarice, adultery, rage, avarice, overeating without satiety and drunkenness, polyphony, evil thoughts and crafty, proud custom and lustful self-indulgence for all him. Oh, my evil will, he and cattle do not do wordlessness! But how can you gaze at me, or approach me, like a stinking dog? Whose eyes, angel of Christ, look at me, wrapped in evil in vile deeds? But how can I ask for forgiveness by my bitter and wicked and crafty deed? But I pray to you, falling down, my saint guardian, have mercy on me, your sinful and unworthy servant (name), be my helper and intercessor for the evil of my resistance, with your holy prayers, and create the Kingdom of God for the partaker of me with all the saints, always, and now and forever and ever. Amen.

Follow-up to Holy Communion.

Through the prayers of the saints, our Father, Lord Jesus Christ, our God, have mercy on us. Amen.
To the Heavenly King, Comforter, Soul of truth, Who is everywhere and fulfill everything, Treasure of the good and life to the Giver, come and dwell in us, and cleanse us from all filth, and save our souls, Beloved.
Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us (thrice).

Holy Trinity, have mercy on us; Lord, cleanse our sins; Master, forgive our iniquity; Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities, for Thy name's sake.
Lord, have mercy (three times).
Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, both now and forever and forever and ever. Amen.
Our Father, Who art in heaven! Hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, as in heaven and on earth. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we also leave our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
Lord, have mercy (12 times).
Come, let us worship our Tsar God (bow).
Come, let us worship and fall down to Christ, our Tsar to God (bow).
Come, let us worship and fall down to Christ Himself, the Tsar and our God (bow).

Psalm 22:
The Lord grazes me, and will deprive me of nothing. In the place of zlachne, tamo instilled in me, on the water raised me calmly. Turn my soul, guide me on the path of righteousness, for your name's sake. If I go in the middle of the shadow of death, I will not fear evil, as if You are with me, Your rod and Your club, that comforter me. Thou hast prepared a meal in front of me to resist those who are cold to me, you have anointed my head with barely, and Thy cup are intoxicating me, like a sovereign. And Thy mercy will marry me all the days of my life, and hedgehog it into the house of the Lord, in the longitude of the days.

Psalm 23:
The Lord's earth, and its fulfillment, the universe, and all that dwell on it. That one founded it on the seas, and prepared it on the rivers. Who will ascend to the mountain of the Lord? Or who will be in His holy place? The rukama is innocent and pure in heart, who does not take his soul in vain, and does not swear by his sincere flattery. He will receive blessing from the Lord, and alms from God, his Savior. This is the race of those who seek the Lord, seeking the face of God, Jacob. Take up the gates of your princes, and take up the eternal gates; and the King of Glory will enter. Who is this King of Glory? The Lord is strong and strong, the Lord is strong in battle. Take up the gates of your princes, and take up the eternal gates, and the King of Glory will enter. Who is this King of Glory? The Lord of forces, the One is the King of Glory.

Psalm 115:
Faithful, the same verbs, I am very humbled. But I am in my speech: every man is a lie. What will I repay the Lord for all, even retributions? I will receive the cup of salvation, and I will call upon the name of the Lord; I will repay my prayers to the Lord in the presence of all His people. Honest before the Lord is the death of His saints. O Lord, I am Thy servant, I am Thy servant and the son of Thy handmaid; Thou art tore apart my bonds. I will devour thee sacrifice of praise, and in the name of the Lord I will call. My prayers to the Lord will pay back before all His people, in the courtyards of the house of the Lord, in the midst of you, Jerusalem.
Glory, and now: Alleluia (three times with three bows).

Tropari, voice 8:
Despise my iniquity, O Lord, from the Virgin born, and cleanse my heart, then creating a temple to Your most pure Body and Blood, below, take me away from Your face, have great mercy without number.
Glory: In the communion of Thy holy things, how dare I, unworthy one? Ashe, I will dare to approach You with the worthy, the tunic denounces me, as if I wear an evening one, and I am condemning my sinful soul. Cleanse, O Lord, the filth of my soul, and save me, like a Human Lover.
And now: Many a multitude of my sins, the Mother of God, of sins, come to You, Pure, demanding salvation: visit my weak soul, and pray to Your Son and our God, give me forgiveness, even fierce deeds, Blessed One.
(On the Holy Forty Day:
When the glory of a disciple is enlightened at the supper, then Judas, the wicked love of money, became darkened, and betrays the righteous Judge to the wicked judges of Thee. See, the estates to the zealot, who have used these for the sake of strangling: flee unfulfilled souls, to the Teacher such daring. Like all good Lord, glory to Thee.)

Psalm 50:
Have mercy on me, O God, according to Thy great mercy, and according to the multitude of Thy compassions, cleanse my iniquity. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin; for I know my iniquity, and I will take out my sin before me. To Thee, who alone have sinned, and have done evil before Thee; as if you were justified in your words, and conquer, always judging you. Behold, in transgressions I am conceived, and in sins bore me my mother. Behold, you loved the truth; Thy unknown and secret wisdom Thou hast revealed to me. Sprinkle me with hyssop, and I will be cleansed; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. To my hearing dasi joy and gladness; the bones of the humble will rejoice. Turn away Thy face from my sins, and cleanse all my iniquity. Build a pure heart in me, O God, and renew the spirit of rights in my womb. Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me. Give me the joy of Thy salvation and, by the Spirit of the Lord, confirm me.

Canon Tone 2, Canto 1:
Irmos: Come people, we will sing a song to Christ God, who divided the sea, and who instructed the people, even from the Egyptian work, as if glorified.

The bread of the everlasting belly may be Thy Holy Body, more blessed O Lord, and Honest Blood, and the disease of manifold healing.

Desecrated by the deeds of the wretched, accursed one, Thy Most Pure Body and Divine Blood I am not worthy, Christ, of communion, grant him to me.
Holy Mother of God, save us.
Good to the earth, blessed God-blessing, a class that has vegetated, an unrepentant and saving world, grant me this poisonous one to be saved.

Song 3

Irmos: Having established me on the stone of faith, you opened my mouth against my enemies. Rejoice my fear, my spirit, always petit: it is not holy, as our God, and it is not righteous more to You, Lord.
Build a pure heart in me, O God, and renew the spirit of rights in my womb.
With my tears, give me drops, Christ, the filth of my cleansing heart: as if I have cleansed my conscience, I come by faith and fear, Master, to the communion of Your Divine Gifts.
Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.
For forsaking, let Thy Most Pure Body, and Divine Blood, Holy Spirit communion, and in eternal life, Human-loving, and alienation of passions and sorrows be mine.
Holy Mother of God, save us.
Animal Bread Most Holy Trapeza, from above for mercy for the sake of what came down, and the world-giving belly, and now grant me the unworthy, with the fear of partaking of this, and I live to be.

Song 4

Irmos: You came from the Virgin, not an intercessor, not an Angel, but Himself, Lord, incarnate, and save me all man. To those I call Ti: glory to Thy strength, O Lord.
Build a pure heart in me, O God, and renew the spirit of rights in my womb.
Thou wished, be incarnate for the sake of us, Most Merciful, slain to be like a sheep, sin for the sake of men: the same I pray to Thee, and cleanse my sins.
Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.
Heal my souls ulcers, O Lord, and sanctify everything: and grant, O Lord, as if I will partake of Thy secret Divine Supper, accursed one.
Holy Mother of God, save us.
Appeal to me also from Thy womb, Lady, and keep me from Thy servant and blameless, like the reception of clever beads, I will be sanctified.

Song 5

Irmos: The Giver of Light and the Creator of the ages, Lord, in the light of Your commands, instruct us; don't we know another god for you.
Build a pure heart in me, O God, and renew the spirit of rights in my womb.
As Thou didst predict, Christ, that Thy wicked servant should be, and abide in me, as Thou didst promise: Behold, Thy Body is Divine, and I drink Thy Blood.
Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.
To the Word of God and God, the coal of Thy Body, let Thy blood be darkened for me, and the cleansing of my defiled soul.
Holy Mother of God, save us.
Mary, Mother of God, fragrant honest village, with your prayers make me a vessel chosen, as if I will partake of the consecration of your Son.

Song 6

Irmos: Wallowing in the abyss of sinfulness, I call upon the abyss unseen by Thy mercy: from aphids, God, erect me.
Build a pure heart in me, O God, and renew the spirit of rights in my womb.
Sanctify the mind, soul and heart, Savior, and my body, and vouchsafe, without condemnation, Vladyka, to approach the terrible Mysteries.
Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.
So that he would be removed from the passions, and Your grace would have an application, the belly would be affirmed by the communion of the Saints, Christ, Your Mysteries.
Holy Mother of God, save us.
God, God, the Holy Word, sanctify me all, now coming to Thy Divine Mysteries, Thy Holy Mother with prayers.
Kontakion, voice 2nd:
Bread, Christ, take, do not despise me, Thy Body, and Thy Divine Blood now, most pure, Lord, and Thy terrible Mysteries, partake of the accursed communion, may it not be in judgment, may it be in the eternal and immortal belly.

Canto 7

Irmos: The wise children did not serve the golden body, and they themselves went into the flame, and their gods swore in the midst of the flame, and I sprinkle the Angel: I heard your prayer already.
Build a pure heart in me, O God, and renew the spirit of rights in my womb.
The source of the good, communion, Christ, Your now immortal Sacraments, let there be light, and belly, and dispassion, and to the perfection and multiplication of the virtue of the Divine, intercessionally, one Better, as if I glorify Thee.
Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.
May I get rid of passions, and enemies, and needs, and all sorrow, trembling and love with reverence, More loving man, now approach Thy immortal and Divine Mysteries, and grant you grace: blessed are you, Lord, our Father God.
Holy Mother of God, save us.
Who gave birth to the Savior Christ more than the mind, God-gracious, I pray to Thee now, Thy servant, Pure unclean: whoever wants me now to approach the most pure Mysteries, cleanse everything from the filth of flesh and spirit.

Canto 8

Irmos: Into a fiery cave to a Jewish youth descended, and flame into the dew of the transformed God, sing the deeds like the Lord, and exalt for all eternity.
Build a pure heart in me, O God, and renew the spirit of rights in my womb.
Heavenly, and terrible, and Thy saints, Christ, now the Mysteries, and Thy Divine and secret suppers of a fellowship to be and vouch for me desperate, O God, my Savior.
Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.
Benevolence has resorted to Thy, Better, with fear I call Ty: abide in me, Savior, and I, as you advertised, in Thee; Behold, daring to Thy mercy, I am Thy Body, and I drink Thy Blood.
Holy Trinity, our God, glory to Thee.
I tremble, receiving fire, lest I be scorched like wax and like grass; ole a terrible sacrament! ole the grace of God! What Divine Body and Blood do I partake of, and imperishable am I created?

Canto 9

Irmos: The Beginning of the Parent is the Son, God and the Lord;
Build a pure heart in me, O God, and renew the spirit of rights in my womb.
Christ is there, taste and see: the Lord for us, for our sake, who was for us in ancient times, brought Himself as one, as an offering to His Father, will always be tempered, sanctify those who partake.
Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.
May I be sanctified in soul and body, Master, may I be enlightened, may I be saved, may I be Your house by the communion of the sacred Mysteries, having You living in me with the Father and the Spirit, the Benefactor of the Most Merciful.
Give me the joy of Thy salvation, and confirm me with the Spirit of the Lord.
Let it be like fire, and like light, Thy Body and Blood, my Savior, most honorable, scorching sinful substance, burning thorns of passions, and enlightening me all, worship Thy Divine.
Holy Mother of God, save us.
God made himself incarnate from Thy pure blood; the same, every race sings to Thee, the Lady, the clever ones glorify the multitudes, as if by Thee they see the Lord by all, realized by mankind.

It is worthy to eat ...
Trisagion. Holy Trinity ...
Our Father...

Troparion of the day or holiday. If it is a week, the troparion is Sunday by voice. If not, the real troparia, voice 6:
Have mercy on us, Lord, have mercy on us; every answer is perplexed, this Ti prayer, like the Master, we bring sinners: have mercy on us.
Glory: Lord, have mercy on us, in You with hope; Do not be angry with us, remember our iniquities below, but look after us and now, as if you are good-natured, and deliver us from our enemies. Thou art our God, and we are Thy people, all works Thy hand, and we call on Thy name.
And now: Open the doors of mercy to us, blessed Mother of God, hoping in Thee, let us not perish, but let us get rid of Thy troubles: Thou art the salvation of the Christian race.
Lord, have mercy (40 times and bows as much as you want).

And poems:
Although Iasti, human, the Body of the Lord,
Start with fear, but do not be scorched: there is more fire.
Divine drink of Blood for communion,
First, reconcile thee to those who grieve.
The same daring, mysterious poison.
Before the sacrament of a terrible sacrifice,
Lord's Life-giving Body,
Sim pray in a way with trembling:

Prayer 1, Basil the Great:
Lord Jesus Christ, our God, the Source of life and immortality, of all creatures visible and invisible to the Makeerer, of the beginningless Father, co-perceiving to the Son and the original, for the sake of goodness in the last days in the flesh was clothed, and crucified, and buried behind us ungrateful and evil Renewed with blood our nature corrupted by sin, Himself, the Immortal King, accept my sinful repentance, and incline Thy ear to me, and hear my verbs. Those who have sinned, O Lord, who have sinned into heaven and before You, and I am worthy to look at the height of Your glory: in anger for Your goodness, having transgressed Your commandments, and disobeying Your commands. But Thou, Lord, you are not malignant, long-suffering and many-merciful, Thou art not betrayed me to perish with my iniquities, waiting in every possible way for my conversion. Thou art more, Thou loving man, Thy prophet: as if I want I do not want the death of a sinner, but a hedgehog will turn and live to be him. You do not want to destroy your hand, Master, to destroy your hand, lower your favor about the death of humanity, but you want everyone to be saved, and come to the mind of truth. The same and I, if I am not worthy of heaven and earth, and sowing temporary life, having obeyed sin altogether, and enslaved with sweetness, and defiled your image; but when Thy creation and creation were, I do not despair of my salvation, accursed one, I daring to come to Thy immeasurable benevolence. Accept you and me, O Lord of mankind, like a harlot, like a robber, like a publican and like a prodigal, and take my heavy burden of sins, take on the world of sin, and heal human infirmities, who are toiling and burdened to You, call upon and do not repose but sinful to repentance. And cleanse me from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, and teach me to perfect holiness in Thy passion: as if by pure knowledge of my conscience, I will receive Thy holy things, I will be united with Thy holy Body and Blood, and I have Thy living and abiding in me, with the Father, and by your Holy Spirit. To her, Lord Jesus Christ, my God, and may not in the judgments be the communion of Thy most pure and life-giving Mysteries, lower may I be weak in soul and body, from a hedgehog unworthy to take communion, but grant me, even to my final breath, accept without condemnation part of Thy holy things, in the Holy Spirit communion, in the way of the eternal life, and in a favorable response to Thy terrible judgment: as if I and all Thy elect would be a fellowship of Thy incorruptible blessings, even Thou art prepared for those who love Thy, Lord, in them Thou art was glorified in eyelids. Amen.

Prayer 2, St. John Chrysostom:
O Lord my God, vem, as I am worthy, I am satisfied below, but under the roof of the temple of my soul, now I’m all empty and fell to eat, and I do not deserve a place in me for a hedgehog head: but as if from above for our sake you humbled yourself, humble yourself and now to my humility; and as if you perceived in the nativity scene and in the dumb manger near the neighborhood, perceive my soulless soul in the manger and in my defiled body. And as if you were not unworthy to bring in, and to light up sinners in the house of Simon the leper, so please, take in my humble soul, leper and sinner, into the house; and as if you did not reject a harlot like me and a sinner who came and touched you; And as if you did not abhor her foul lips and unclean ones that kiss You, abhor the filthy lips and unclean ones below mine, below my filthy and unclean lips, and my filthy and unclean tongue. But let there be coal of Thy Most Holy Body, and honest Thy Blood, for the sanctification and enlightenment and health of my humble soul and body, for the relief of the burdens of many of my sins, for keeping from every devilish act, for driving away and forbidding my evil and evil custom, for the mortification of passions, for the supply of Thy commandments, for the application of Thy Divine grace, and for Thy Kingdom appropriation. Not as if I despise I come to You, Christ God, but as if daring to Your ineffable goodness, and let not be distant from Your communication, from the mental wolf I will be caught by the beasts. I also pray to Thee: as one is Holy, Master, sanctify my soul and body, mind and heart, belly and womb, and renew me all, and root Thy fear in my goodness, and Thy sanctification is inalienable from me; and wake me a helper and intercessor, nourishing my belly in the world, making me and your right hand stand with Your saints, prayers and prayers of Your Most Pure Mother, Your immaterial servants and most pure powers, and all the saints who have delighted You from time immemorial. Amen.

Alone pure and incorruptible Lord, for the ineffable mercy of love for mankind our all perceived confusion, from pure and virgin blood more than the nature of the birth of Thee, the Divine Spirit by the invasion, and the grace of the ever-present Father, Christ Jesus, the wisdom of God, and peace, and power; By your perception, life-giving and saving suffering is perceived, a cross, nails, a spear, death, kill my soulful bodily passions. By Thy burial of hell, captive of the kingdom, bury my good thoughts, crafty counsel, and ruin the spirits of crafty. Having raised up your fallen forefather by Your three-day and life-giving resurrection, raise me up with sin that crawled, offering images of repentance to me. By Thy glorious ascension, the fleshly adored perception, and this honorable graying of the Father's right hand, grant me the right part of those who are being saved by the sacrament of Thy Holy Mysteries. By the thread of Thy Comforter Spirit, holy vessels are sacred Thy disciples have done, friend, and show me that coming. Although the packs come to judge the universe with righteousness, please, and I find Thee on the cloud, the Judge and my Creator, with all Thy saints: yes, I endlessly praise and praise Thee, with Thy beginningless Father, and the Most Holy and Good and Life-giving Thy Spirit, now and forever, and forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer 4, St. John of Damascus:
O Lord Jesus Christ, our God, alone having the power of man to forsake sins, for it is good and the Man-lover, despise my all in knowledge and not in knowledge of sin, and grant me uncondemned communion of the Divine, and most glorious, and most pure, and life-giving Your Mysteries, not in heaviness, neither into torment, nor into the application of sins, but into cleansing, and sanctification, and betrothal of the future Belly and kingdom, into the wall and help, and into the objection of those who resist, into the destruction of many of my sins. Thou art the God of mercy, and bounty, and love for mankind, and we glorify Thee, with the Father, and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer 5, Saint Basil the Great:
We, Lord, as if I am unworthy to partake of the most pure Thy Body and honest Thy Blood, and I am guilty, and I drink judgment on myself, without judging the Body and Blood of Thy Christ and my God, but for Thy compassion I dare to come to Thee who reclaims: My flesh is poisonous. and drink my blood, he abides in me, and I am in him. Be merciful, O Lord, and do not expose me as a sinner, but do with me according to Your mercy; and may this holy be me for healing, and cleansing, and enlightenment, and preservation, and salvation, and for the sanctification of soul and body; to drive away all dreams, and evil deeds, and deeds of the devil, mentally acting in my success, in boldness and love, even to You; for the correction of life and confirmation, for the return of virtue and perfection; in the fulfillment of the commandments, in the Holy Spirit communion, in the way of the eternal belly, in response, favorable at Thy terrible judgment: not in judgment or in condemnation.

Prayer 6, Saint Simeon the New Theologian:
From bad lips, from a vile heart, from an unclean tongue, from the soul defiled, accept prayer, my Christ, and do not despise my words, below images, below innocence. Give me boldly verb, I want it, my Christ, but more and teach me that it befits me to create and verb. Those who have sinned more than the harlot, I will also take you away where you dwell, having bought ointment, come boldly to anoint Your nose, my God, my Lord and Christ. As if he did not reject the one who came from the heart, abhor me below, the Word: Thine me give a nose, and hold and kiss, and tear streams, as if with a precious peace, to anoint this impudently. Wash me with my tears, cleanse me with them, the Word. Leave my sins as well, and grant me forgiveness. Weigh a multitude of evils, weighed and my scabs, and sore my sores, but weighed the faith, and the will of the zrisha, and hear sighing. Thee, my God, my Creator, my Deliverer does not hide, below is a tearful drop, below a drop is a certain part. Thy eyes see my unfinished work, but in Thy bottom and still unfinished the essence is written to You. See my humility, see my labor, and forsake all sins, O God of all: yes, with a pure heart, trembling thoughts, and a contrite soul, I partake of Thy unclean and holy Mysteries, every poisonous one is revived and adored in the image and all poisonous is revived and drunk with a pure heart; Thou art thou, my Lord: everyone who is poisonous to My Flesh, and drink My Blood, in Me, this one dwells, in him and I am seven. True is the word of every Lord and my God: partake of divine communion and idolizing graces, not for I am one, but with Thee, my Christ, the three-solar Light that enlightens the world. Yes, I will not be the only one besides Thee the Life-Giver, my breath, my belly, my joy, the salvation of the world. For this, for the sake of those who come to You, as if you see, with tears, and with a broken soul I ask for deliverance of my sins, and to partake of Your life-giving and immaculate Sacraments without condemnation, may continue, as you advertise, with me treasured: may you not receive me besides The adorable will delight me more flatteringly, and the deceiver will lead away those who worship Thy words. For this, for the sake of You, I fall, and the warmth of Ty cry: as thou hast received the prodigal, and the harlot who came, so accept me the prodigal and the filthy, Generous. With a contrite soul, now coming to You, vem, Savior, as another, like I, do not sin You, lower than the deed of deeds, even as I do. But this we pack, as not the majesty of sins, nor the multitude of sins surpasses my God, much patience, and extreme philanthropy; but with the mercy of compassion, warmly repenting, and cleanse, and the luminaries, and create the light, the partakers, the associates of Thy Divinity, do the work without envy, and the strange with both an Angel and a human thought, talk to them many times, like Thy true friend. This is insolently creating me, this one is looking at me, my Christ. And daring with Your rich blessing to us, rejoicing together and trembling, fire and partake of this grass, and strangely miracle, we irrigate unopened, as if the bush was burning in an ancient way. Now, with a grateful thought, with a grateful heart, grateful for my wealth, soul and body, I bow down and magnify, and praise Thee, my God, as a blessed one exists, now and forever.

Prayer 7, St. John Chrysostom:
God, weaken, leave, forgive me my sins, the tree of Thy sinned, if in word, if in deed, if in thought, willingly or unwillingly, reason or foolishness, all forgive me as good and a Human Lover, and with the prayers of Thy Most Pure Mother, Thy intelligent servants and holy powers, and all the saints who have delighted You from time immemorial, uncondemnedly accept your holy and most pure Body and honest Blood, for the healing of soul and body, and for the cleansing of my evil thoughts. Thine is the kingdom and power and glory, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and forever and ever. Amen.
Its the 8th:
I am pleased, Master Lord, that you come under the roof of my soul; but you still want to, like a man-lover, to live in me, daring to begin; command, so I will open the doors, even Thou alone created Thou, and entered with philanthropy as Thou art, enter and enlighten my darkened thought. I believe that you have done this: do not drive away the harlot who came to you with tears; below the publican you rejected the one who repented; below the thief, having come to know thy kingdom, thou hast driven away; below the persecutor who repented, thou didst, hedgehog: but from repentance to you, all who came to you, in the person of your friends, did you repent, the one blessed one always, now and forever. Amen.
His 9th:
Lord Jesus Christ, my God, weaken, leave, cleanse and forgive me to the sinner, and to the indecent, and unworthy of Thy servant, sins, and sins, and my fall, my tree, from my youth, even to the present day and hour of those who have sinned: if in the mind and in foolishness, even in words or deeds, or thoughts and thoughts, and undertakings, and all my feelings. And by the prayers of the seedless birth of Thee, the Most Pure and Ever-Virgin Mary, Your Mother, uniting the unashamed hope and intercession and my salvation, grant me uncondemned communion of Your most pure, immortal, life-giving and terrible Mysteries, for the remission of sins and sanctifying into eternal life strength, healing, and health of the soul and body, and into the consumption and all-perfect destruction of my wicked thoughts, and thoughts, and enterprises, and night dreams, dark and wicked spirits; as Thy is the kingdom, and power, and glory, and honor, and worship, with the Father and Thy Holy Spirit, now and forever, and forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer 10, St. John of Damascus:
I stand before the doors of Thy temple, and I do not retreat from fierce thoughts; but thou, Christ God, justifying the publican, and having mercy on Canaanite, and opening the door to the robber of paradise, open the womb of Thy humanity to me, and receive me, who comes and touches Thee, like a harlot, and bleeds: Ova, touching the edge of Thy robe, comfort her healing But having restrained Thy most purely nose, I have borne the resolution of sins. But I, accursed one, daring to perceive all Your Body, may I not be disgraced; but accept me, as it were, and enlighten my spiritual feelings, burning my sinful guilt, with the seedless prayers of the Birth of You and the Heavenly Powers; as blessed art thou forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer of Saint John Chrysostom:
I believe, Lord, and I confess that you are truly the Christ, the Son of the living God, who came to the world of sinners to save, from them I am the first. I still believe that this is Thy most pure Body, and this is Thy most honest Blood. I pray to You: have mercy on me, and forgive my sins, voluntary and involuntary, even in word, even in deed, even in knowledge and ignorance, and grant me uncondemned communion of Thy most pure Sacraments, for the remission of sins, and into eternal life. Amen.

Coming to communion, recite these verses of Metaphrast in your mind:
Behold, I proceed to Divine Communion.
To the clerk, do not scorch me with the introduction:
Thou art fire, unworthy to burn.
But cleanse me from all filthiness.

Then:
Thy secret supper is this day, Son of God, take me a partaker; We will not give you a secret as your enemy, nor will I give you a kiss, like Judas, but like a robber I confess You: remember me, Lord, in Your Kingdom.

And poems:
Terrify the worshiping Blood, man, in vain:
There is fire, unworthy burning.
The Divine Body both adores me and nourishes:
Loves the spirit, but the mind feeds strangely.

Then the tropari:
You have delighted me with love, Christ, and you have changed me with your Divine diligence; but my sins have fallen into an insubstantial fire, and make the hedgehog satisfied in Thee grant delight: yes, exulting, I magnify, Better, Thy two comings.
Into the lights of Thy Saints, how can I enter the unworthy one? If I dare to take it into the palace, the clothes denounces me, as if I am not married, and I will be bound by the outcast from the Angels. Cleanse, O Lord, the filth of my soul, and save me, like a Human Lover.

Also prayer:
Master of Humanity, Lord Jesus Christ, my God, may not this Holy One be in the judgments, for the hedgehog unworthy of being: but for the purification and sanctification of the soul and body, and for the betrothal of the future life and kingdom. But for me, a hedgehog to cleave to God, there is good, lay in the Lord the hope of my salvation.

And further:
Thy secret supper ... (See above)

Whoever wants to receive communion must prepare himself worthily for this holy sacrament. This preparation (in church practice it is called fasting) lasts several days and concerns both the bodily and spiritual life of a person. The body is prescribed abstinence, i.e. bodily purity (abstinence from marital relations) and restriction in food (fasting). On the days of fasting, food of animal origin is excluded - meat, milk, eggs and, about strict fasting, fish. Bread, vegetables, fruits are consumed in moderation. The mind should not be scattered over the little things of everyday life and be entertained.
On the days of fasting, one should attend services in the church, if circumstances permit, and more diligently follow the home prayer rule: whoever usually does not read all morning and evening prayers, let him read everything in full, those who do not read the canons, let him read at least one at a time on these days. canon. On the eve of communion, one must be at the evening service and read at home, in addition to the usual prayers for the future sleep, the canon of penitence, the canon of the Mother of God and the Guardian Angel. The canons are read either one after the other in full, or they are combined in this way: the irmos of the first canon of the penitential canon is read ("As Israel has walked on dry land, in the abyss with his feet, seeing the persecutor of Pharaoh being drowned, we sing the victory song to God, cry out") and the troparion, then steam the first songs of the canon to the Theotokos ("With many misfortunes, I run to You, I seek salvation: oh, Mother of the Word and the Virgin, save me from the heavy and fierce"), lowering the irmos "Water has passed ...", and steam the canon to the Guardian Angel, also without irmos ("We drink to the Lord, who led the people through His Red Sea, as one gloriously glorified"). The following songs are read in the same way. The troparion before the canon to the Mother of God and the Guardian Angel, as well as the stichera after the canon to the Mother of God, in this case are omitted.
The canon for communion is also read and, whoever wishes, an akathist to Jesus the Sweetest. After midnight, they no longer eat or drink, for it is customary to begin the Sacrament of Communion on an empty stomach. In the morning, morning prayers are read and all adherence to Holy Communion, except for the canon read the day before.
Before communion, confession is necessary - whether in the evening or in the morning, before the Liturgy.

Prayers of thanks for Holy Communion.

Glory to You, God. Glory to You, God. Glory to You, God.

Thanksgiving prayer, 1st:
Thank you, O Lord, my God, for you did not reject me as a sinner, but you have vouchsafed me to be your companion. I thank Thee, as Thou hast vouchsafed me unworthy to partake of Thy Most Pure and Heavenly Gifts. But Master of Humanity, for our sake, the dead and resurrected, and the dreadful and life-giving Sacraments that have been given to us for the benefit and sanctification of our souls and bodies, grant this to me too, for the healing of soul and body, for driving away everyone who resists, for enlightening the eyes of my heart. , in the peace of my spiritual strength, in faith that is not ashamed, in love that is not hypocritical, in the fulfillment of wisdom, in the observance of Thy commandments, in the application of Thy Divine grace and Thy Kingdom appropriation; so that in Thy sanctity we shall be preserved by those, I always remember Thy grace, and I do not live for myself, but for You, our Lord and Benefactor; and so this life went out about the hope of the eternal belly, into the everlasting one I will achieve peace, where the celebrating voice is unceasing, and endless sweetness, who see your face the kindness unspeakable. Thou art a true desire, and the ineffable joy of those who love Thee, Christ our God, and Thou sings all creation forever. Amen.

Prayer 2, St. Basil the Great:
Lord Christ God, King of the ages, and the Coordinator of all, I thank Thee for all who have given me good ones, and for the communion of Thy most pure and life-giving Sacraments. I pray to Thee, Better and Love of Man: keep me under Thy roof, and in Thy canopy; and grant me a clear conscience, even to my last breath, worthy to partake of Thy holy things, for the remission of sins, and for eternal life. Thou art the animal bread, the source of holiness, the Giver of the good, and we glorify Thee, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer 3, Simeon Metaphrastus:
Thy flesh giving food to me by Thy will, this fire and scorching unworthy ones, so do not scorch me, my Builder; but rather pass into my uds, into all formations, into the womb, into the heart. The thorns of all my sins have fallen. Cleanse your soul, sanctify your thoughts. Compositions solidify with bones together. Enlighten the senses of a simple five. Bring me all the way to Thy fear. Always cover, observe, and save me from every deed and word of the soulful. Cleanse and washed and decorate me; fertilize, educate, and enlighten me. Show me Thy village of the one Spirit, and not to one the village of sin. Yes, like your house, the entrance of communion, like fire, every villain runs to me, every passion. Prayer books I bring to You all the holy, the ruling authority of the incorporeal, Thy Forerunner, wise Apostles, to this Thy unclean, pure Mother, receive their prayers in the Divine grace, my Christ, and make Thy servant a son of light. Thou art the sanctification and one of ours, Better, souls and lordship; and it is like you, like God and the Sovereign, we give all glory every day.

Prayer 4:
Thy Holy Body, Lord, Jesus Christ, our God, may there be me in an eternal belly, and Thy honest blood for the remission of sins: wake me this thanksgiving for joy, health and gladness; on the terrible and second coming of Thy vouch for me a sinful article at the right hand of Thy glory, with the prayers of Thy Most Pure Mother, and of all the saints.

Prayer 5, to the Most Holy Theotokos:
The Most Holy Lady of the Theotokos, the light of my darkened soul, hope, cover, refuge, consolation, my joy, thank You, as if you have made me unworthy, a partaker of the existence of the Most Pure Body and Honest Blood of Your Son. But who gave birth to the true Light, enlighten my clever eyes of the heart; Even who gave birth to the Source of immortality, revive me who was killed by sin; Even more gracious God, amiable Mother, have mercy on me, and give me tenderness and contrition in my heart, and humility in my thoughts, and a proclamation in captivity of my thoughts; and vouch for me to my last breath, uncondemnedly accept the holy Mysteries consecration, for the healing of soul and body. And give me tears of repentance and confession, in a hedgehog and praise Thee all the days of my life, as blessed and forwarded you are forever. Amen.

Now let go of Thy servant, Master, according to Thy verb, in peace: as my eyes see Thy salvation, I have prepared before the face of all people, light for the revelation of tongues and the glory of Thy people, Israel.

Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us (thrice).
Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, both now and forever and forever and ever. Amen.

Troparion of St. John Chrysostom, voice 8:
Your lips, like the lightness of fire, brightening grace, enlighten the universe: not the love of the world's treasures, the height of showing us humility, but punishing your words, Father John Chrysostom, pray the Word of Christ God to save our souls.

Kontakion, voice 6:
Glory: You have received Divine grace from heaven, and with your lips teach all to worship in the Trinity to one God, John Chrysostom, all blessed, reverend, we praise you worthily: you are a teacher, as if you were divine.

If the liturgy of St. Basil the Great was celebrated, read:

troparion to Basil the Great, voice 1:
Throughout the whole earth, your broadcasting, as if it received your word, you taught it with God, you understood the nature of beings, you have adorned human customs, royal priesthood, reverend Father, pray to Christ God, save our souls.

Kontakion, voice 4th:
Glory: Thou an unshakable foundation appeared to the church, giving all the indestructible domination of man, having sealed with your decrees, the unbelievable Reverend Basil.
And now: The betrayal of Christians is not shameful, the intercession to the Creator is immutable, do not despise the sinful prayers of the voices, but anticipate, like the Good One, to help us, who are rightly calling Ty: speed up to prayer, and sweep for supplication, presenting always to the Mother of God, who honor Thee.

If the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts was celebrated, read:

troparion to Saint Gregory the Dvoeslov Basil the Great, voice 4:
Even from God above, we receive divine grace, gloriously Gregory, and we strengthen Him with power, you have deigned to march in the gospel, from Christ the reward of labors you have received all-blessed: Behold Him, may our souls be saved.

Kontakion, voice 3:
Glory: The Sub-Commander seemed to be the Chief Shepherd of Christ, monks in succession, Father Gregory, instructing the heavenly fence, and from there you taught the flock of Christ by His commandment: now you rejoice with them, and rejoice in heavenly blood.
Lord have mercy (12 times). Glory: And now:
The most honest cherub and the most glorious without comparison Seraphim, who gave birth to God the Word without corruption, we magnify the Mother of God.

Prayer of an illiterate after communion of the Holy Mysteries.

(archpriest I. Evropytseva)

Lord Jesus Christ, my sweet Redeemer, I feel that I am not worthy of Your Most Holy Body and Blood, but by Your goodness I also received Your Cup as my brothers: I thank You from the bottom of my heart for Your Heavenly Mercy to me and your grace. I pray Thee, Lord, may this communion be with me in the cleansing of sins and the health of the body, in the correction of life and future eternal bliss.
