Wooden hot stand - 5 ideas that you can implement yourself:

1. Simple hot stand made of wood

Sometimes beauty is not the result of applying the skills of drawing, decoupage, knitting and other techniques. Sometimes, it is enough just to process the source material, highlighting it natural properties to get the perfect thing. Try to properly clean and grind a wooden saw cut, take a closer look - maybe this is enough for your hot stand to please with lines and color?

2. Hot stand made of wood with "lace"

And if we combine what, it would seem, at first glance, is absolutely opposite in essence? Delicate, weightless, light lace and brutal, real, solid wood? Something very interesting can come out together!

3. Wood stand in the shape of a watermelon

Oh, how I want summer and berries! Maybe you should sublimate your dream into creativity? A hot stand in the form of an appetizing juicy watermelon is just what you need to cheer yourself up and gain strength and wait for the fruit and berry season. The technique of work is simple - even if you do not have special skills in working with paints, you can handle it, it is not difficult. The main thing is to grind the saw cut well.

4. Stand for hot wood with a pattern through a stencil

However, if you have a great desire to decorate wood cuts drawing, but there is no fine talent, try to resort to the help of stencils - ready-made or made by hand. This simple solution will help you make stylish hot coasters, original and unique. The ones that you personally find the most interesting.

To make the kitchen more comfortable, needlewomen can make a hot stand with their own hands. This is not only a beautiful detail of the interior, but also a very necessary thing. Any materials will be used.

Wood

The advantage of using this material is that it is more durable than, for example, fabric. To get a do-it-yourself hot stand made of wood, you will need:

  • Wooden blanks (sold in shops for handicrafts. The form you choose at your discretion).
  • A simple pencil.
  • Washing gum.
  • Acrylic lacquer.
  • Paints, watercolors are better suited.
  • Brush.
  • A device for burning.

Let's get to work:

  1. To begin with, draw on paper how a hot stand, made with your own hands, should look like. It can be flowers, berries, an ornament or an inscription. The border around the edges, which serves as a frame, looks beautiful. Doing this will make it easier for you later on. Now transfer the image simple pencil on a piece of wood.
  2. Take your burner and wait for it to heat up. When everything is ready to proceed, burn the drawing.
  3. If in some places you can see a simple pencil, then be sure to wipe it with a washing eraser, otherwise the work will look sloppy.
  4. You can leave the stand design as it is, just cover it with acrylic varnish, or you can continue decorating.
  5. To do this, take paints and start coloring. Do this very carefully, because it will be difficult to get rid of errors. If you are working with acrylic, then pay attention to the fact that in some places you will have to apply several layers to add saturation. Also, these paints can leak.
  6. The stand should dry out, and then it must be varnished and allowed to stand for several hours to dry completely.

DIY hot stand is made!

Felt

DIY felt coasters are even easier to make. They give more room for imagination than wood. You can choose the color and design based on the style of your kitchen.

To create "citrus" coasters you need to take:

  • Different colors of felt (orange for orange, yellow for lemon, green for lime, etc.)
  • Scissors.
  • Threads matching the fabric colors or white.
  • Needle.
  • Pins.

What do we have to do:

  1. Create blanks. For one fruit, you need two large circles of colored felt (the size of a future stand), a slightly smaller white circle and eight colored slices.
  2. Arrange the blanks in this order: large circle, medium and slices. Pin it with a pin.
  3. Sew the perimeter slices through both layers.
  4. To hide the seams, you need to sew a second large circle to the bottom one.

Everything is very simple! Create a few more of these "fruits" so that all guests have enough.

Idea

To get a hot stand, which will not be difficult to make with your own hands, you can use felt trimmings. This requires only one big piece, which will be the base, and several strips 5 millimeters wide. The length doesn't matter.

Take 3 different colors and place them on top of each other with a ladder, the indents should be up to 10 millimeters. The beginning needs to be glued, now start tightly twisting the strips with a snail, add glue if necessary. To complete the flagellum, make the inner strip 2 centimeters shorter than the outer one and secure with glue, do the same with the middle one, only make it only 5 millimeters shorter. Make as many snails as necessary to cover the entire base. Attach workpieces to it using a heat gun.

Textile

To create such coasters for hot with your own hands from fabric, you need small scraps. You don't even have to go to the store to buy new materials, for sure they are lying around in your home somewhere. So, for work you will need:

  • Fabric in eight different colors.
  • A sewing machine (if not, then you can try to sew it carefully with your hands).
  • Hexagon pattern.
  • Scissors.

What do we have to do:

A do-it-yourself hot stand will be a beautiful addition to any feast. As you can see, it is not at all difficult to make it from different materials.

Today I will show and tell you step by step how to do wooden stand under a hot pan or saucepan. You will see the entire stage in the photos, there will also be a description of each stage. Wooden crafts they do not obey everyone, it is very difficult to do them and it takes a lot of time, for example, on or on, in addition, you must have some skills initially.

The stand that we will make, as I wrote above, can be used both for flowers and for hot dishes. Personally, I use more for dishes. You can just create a plank, polish it, cut out the outline and that's it, but I want to make a plank with a limiter. What does it mean? In our board, which we will use under a hot frying pan, for example, there will be a small recess and if we put dishes in this recess, then it will not move out of there and will not be able to fall out. You will understand everything in the process and manufacture.

We will definitely need carpentry tools, which is why I said that you need to have at least some experience in carpentry.

Now for the important points:

1. When we put hot on the board, then it should not be charred.
2. As I already wrote, the plate should have restraints so that it does not slip when carrying various dishes.
3. The main thing is that the stand must be made quite thick, because it can break, from the hot one it can simply bend and take an incomprehensible shape. Also, the bottom of the stand should be flat and smooth. Together with the dishes, you need the ability to conveniently take the stand.

Since we are making a stand for the pan, we need to make a groove of exactly the same size in diameter as the pan itself. We take it, put it on paper and outline what then we need to make a hole. Cut out this template from paper.
You need to first find a thick cut of any tree, I took a cut diagonally. It is best to have a thickness of about 35 millimeters, then the craft itself will not come out too heavy, from 800 to 1000 grams (1 kg).

We take it in hand electric jigsaw and we cut out an ordinary workpiece, such that it would be larger than the diameter of the pan.

The surface needs to be planed with a plane, since all our devices are electrical, this is very easy to do.

Now we grind the surface with a special machine. But we take a rough nozzle.

Then you need to take a special vibrating grinder and carefully go over the surface.

After some preparations were carried out with the workpiece, it became about 5 millimeters smaller.
The next step is to take a pre-cut paper template. Place it on the workpiece, but in such a way that it is approximately in the center and there is an equal distance from the corners.

In the very center of the cut out circle, we need to make a hole of about 5 millimeters. Better to hit a couple of times with a dowel.

We will need this hole for the next step.

Now we will mill. You need to have a special manual cutter, it is relatively expensive, so that there would be several cutters, clamps. A circular stop is required, because we need to create a clear circle, or rather a notch, directly under our pan. Such an emphasis has always been included in the kit of any milling tool.

Also included is a semicircular cutter.

Be sure to use a template for general markup. We put the template, then insert the circular stop into the hole, put the router itself on the edge of our template and move it left and right. We fix the guide router with screws.

Here one problem arises, the workpiece must be fixed. This is done with the help of bars that we nail on the sides, and between them we put the workpiece. This is the most the best way, and most importantly the most convenient.

We set the total milling depth of about 8-10 millimeters and milling around the circumference, following the paper blank.

Next step: it is necessary to knock out the middle in the made circle. We change the cutter, now we put a straight line (so to speak, finger). But initially we will knock out the edges a little, so as not to damage the outer part of the circle.

Then we need to clean (knock out) the entire part of the made nest for the pan.

We take a perforator and put on a polished nozzle on it, thereby making the nest neat.

We remove our workpiece and remove the bars. Next, we fasten with clamps its workbench. In this case, we use just such a cutter, which is with bearings.

We need to take the upper part of the workpiece and chamfer it. Then we remove the excess around the edges and round them off.

We remove the edges in stages, since it is very difficult to do this right away. These edges are necessary so that you can easily grip the made stand.

So the stand for hot pots or pans is ready. And if suddenly there was a branch on the workpiece, then find out imperceptibly.

We hope you enjoy our DIY publications wooden decorations and other products, we try to choose the most interesting topics that you could bring yourself to life.

Before the weekend, we managed to write four publications, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with each of them - and, or, be sure to read, these are very interesting master classes!

What do we need to make a stand from a saw cut under the hot with our own hands?

In fact, we only need four things:

  • Juniper branches (log cabins) with a thickness of about three to six centimeters, this will be quite enough. Of course, you can always use other types of wood - plum, apple, ash, oak. The main thing is that there is a beautiful drawing that will delight your eyes.
  • Miter saw (in our case 🙂), at home you can use a regular hacksaw
  • Glue, preferably for gluing wood
  • Sandpaper

How to make a hot stand with your own hands in stages

  • After we have picked up the branches (or log cabins), we start processing them. If the bark peels off very easily and breaks off almost by itself, then we remove it, but if it holds well, then this is even better, it will be more beautiful.

We cut into small cuts miter saw(about four to five millimeters thick), if it is not there, then, as mentioned above, we use a hacksaw.

  • After we have cut, the number of juniper cuts is necessary (usually 15-17 cuts are required for one stand different diameters), we have to polish them a little. It should be noted that the fewer cuts you have, the easier it will be to assemble it, but at the same time it will not look so impressive. It should be noted that the fewer cuts you have, the easier it will be to assemble it, but at the same time it will not look so impressive.

We take glue on wood (although it is suitable in PVA) and glue the cuts as your imagination tells you, in any case it will turn out very beautifully. It is highly desirable that all our cuts are well adjacent to each other in several places, so that it is easier to glue them together.

Every housewife has most of the appliances in her kitchen, in this article I will tell you how to make a hot stand with your own hands, which will prevent hot dishes from contacting the table, making it a snap.

Gathering with the thought that the kitchen lacks a stand for hot dishes, the idea was taken to make it myself.

Let's start with creating a stand, for this we need:
Maple block, when sawing it is necessary to resemble a square
Tools for sawing parts, it will be better if you have a circular or a jigsaw.
Different grit sandpaper
Wood glue or good PVA
Shrinkage, in this case black, depends on your preference
Wooden connections, the so-called chopiki.

All the parts were found in our garage, so there were no delivery costs, only costs for a pleasant time.

Let's start assembling the stand. To begin with, we need to saw the same parts of the blocks from one solid, the thickness of the blanks must be the same, this can be done by taking measurements from the first blank.

Having estimated the size of all the utensils available in the kitchen, the author of the homemade product stops at the size of the stand 3 by 3, therefore, 9 identical blocks are needed.

The construction of the stand is based on the connection of these small squares with the help of chopiks "dowels".

After all 9 parts are ready for further processing, they must be drilled, so as not to be mistaken in the markup, we add all the components from the sawn timber, sign in order and mark the place for the hole on their upper ends.

In the future, in these places it is necessary to make holes, strictly 1 cm deep, since the length of the chop is 3 cm, taking into account that in the middle there will be just 1 cm, the diameter of the drill must be selected taking into account the diameter of the chops, but 1 mm thicker than our construction connectors ...

.

The next step will be the grinding of the parts. Everything is done quite simply, first coarse sandpaper comes into play, then finer and finer, until the surface of the bars becomes perfectly smooth.

To create a beautiful look and give charm to the stand, we use a heat-shrinkable tube. So that the heat shrinkage is not superfluous, we cut off 12 pieces of 1 cm each, put on chopiki and heat it to tighten and snug the heat shrink tube.

All parts are ready for the next step, for the gluing process.

For gluing, the author uses ordinary wood glue, you can also use PVA, it is better to glue three pieces together next to each other, so the designer from the bars is assembled better, smoother, and most importantly, no problems in need of an assistant. Then we fasten all three parts, consisting of three bars, together. Let the glue dry.

After the glue has dried, you can use the stand as intended; for example, you can place a hot kettle or a saucepan that has just been removed from the fire on this stand.

Such a small stand looks original and inspiring, and now you don't have to be afraid that your kettle will accidentally disappear a hole in a new oilcloth. To all successful homemade products and success in cooking.
