How do Italian women dress in Milan? Milanese women's fashion. Through the streets of Milan: how do they dress in the fashion capital? How to dress in Milan

IMHO, Milanese men dress and look much better than women. Competition.
It is with us that every man is surrounded by attention, regardless of the degree of his disregard for his appearance. Everything is the opposite there, and especially in Milan, the business capital :)

About Milan men's fashion in this blog you can find a lot of reviews by tag - I recommend!

The fact is that Italian women also wear what they hate or what our men make fun of. Uggs, boyfriend pants and leggings for any amount of sugar bowl :)

About half of Milanese women dress quite casually and modestly. They resemble female peacocks - it is for their sake that they dress up and dance a jig, they are too lazy to strain even "for themselves."
The second half is not only girls with good taste and fashionistas. But almost all women are over 40. The older the lady, the more interesting the outfits - and not only I notice this.

This frame is a vivid example of this (see the woman on the right)), and there will be other confirmations of my theory in the report.

By the way, about male competition in Italy: here, even one of the favorite topics of anecdotes and jokes is female infidelity. And the most offensive curse is cornuto (cuckold :))

These photos were taken in February, just in the same weather as we have now: wind, humidity and no higher than +7...

That sun and +12-16. Just right for the new Marni pony sausage sandals!

The favorite color in the wardrobe of Italians was and remains black! And my favorite style of trousers is skinny.

Please note that this photo was taken seconds after the previous one. This is what most Milanese women look like in February. Only more and less well-chosen things and their quality differ.

But from afar, they are all very similar;)

Not total black, already unusual.

"Powdery" images in Milan are such a rarity.

How do outfits with a coat compare favorably with "jackets", right?

One more example.

It’s nice to live in a climate where you don’t need a down jacket, and you can wear your favorite coats for half a year.
And men's-style oxford boots, which are not understood in our latitudes.

Milan youth looks like ours. Love black and skinny :)

The girl reminds me of some MSLU student, right?

And these friends are clearly students of the Brera Academy of Fine Arts - you can meet similar ones near the University of Culture :)

A couple more years, and they will look like this - giving preference to monochrome and classics.
Or maybe not.

By the way, going back to the last post about Milan street fashion, where I wrote about the quality of things.
Milanese women who take care of themselves prefer only wool and cashmere (angora, mohair, alpaca, etc.). It is better to have one natural sweater than three synthetic ones for the money - their principle.

There are many women in Milan that catch the eye.
Now just imagine this girl in ordinary clothes: a black short down jacket, jeans, knee-high boots... In my opinion, she is a charming pregnant woman in her sweatpants :)

When you walk through the center of Milan, so many characters are spacing towards you that you only have time to shoot. But it doesn't always work out.

And Italian women love warm parka jackets. On fur.
The woman in the photo is in her 70s, but thanks to well-chosen clothes, she looks much younger, without being vulgar.

Great gentlemen!
Even in bad weather, they prefer shoes and moccasins rather than boots.

Ankle boots, boots - they know how ...

My mother does not take off such strange moccasins - she says that there are no more comfortable shoes.
I forgot the brand, can someone tell me?

Someone's mother-in-law! Please note - no one wears a bag on his shoulder. Only in the hand (or in the crook of the hand).

A few more students in Cheburashka coats :)

I think that such a girl can be found in Minsk Shabany, and in a workers' settlement near Volgograd, where midges stung me at a seminar two years ago.

Sasha was walking along the highway .... Well, I don’t know what you can say about such images of refugees?
On the one hand, this is "European relaxed urban style." On the other hand, the girl, of course, does not owe anything to anyone, and it is her own business how to dress. But stereotypes and complexes inside me say that she spoils herself kagbe :)

A few shop windows that I like to look at as much as people :)
Dolce&Gabbana! Give me warmth, I want to wear new shoes and sandals :)

Here is my favorite of this post! Super image, which I gladly adopted. But when it's time to unzip your coat like this, it always means switching to raincoats and windbreakers :)

Another lady who aroused admiration at first sight... But it's about energy, I didn't even notice the clothes...:)

My other numerous photo essays on the topic of street style can be found under the tag.

Many interesting and iconic places in Milan, personal recommendations, instructions and tips, transport navigation and much more are collected under the tag.

Well, admit it: Which images do you like and which don't?

Issues discussed in the material:

  • What things form the basis of the wardrobe of Italians
  • How does an Italian woman choose clothes?
  • How do Italian women of different ages dress?
  • Why Italians do not save on bags and shoes
  • How to determine the quality of Italian shoes when buying

Italy stands out from other European countries. Residents of this southern country always dress very elegantly, carefully choosing their wardrobe. This is confirmed by the statistics of stores selling well-known clothing brands. How do Italian women dress in spring, summer, autumn and winter? You will learn about this from this article.

Italy is the birthplace of modern fashion. This country surprisingly combines the northern restraint of Milan and the southern eccentricity of Calabria. Stylish Italian women always take care of themselves. Women in the Apennines, even when they go to the store for bread, dress elegantly and do a beautiful hairstyle.

Italians do not consider it necessary to buy only such clothes that have a brand mark. The main thing is that the suit is comfortable and fashionable. Often, Italian women dress in things of unfamiliar brands, showing amazing democracy in choosing clothes. In well-known brand stores in Italy, you can find high quality items. As a rule, Italian women dress very neatly and neatly, they know how to properly care for their outfits. In their wardrobe you can see a variety of things for all seasons.

Summer:

  • A beautiful, feminine and stylish scarf, cape or stole that is elegantly draped. This indispensable element of women's wardrobe in the old days protected the resident of Italy from strong winds, often blowing from the sea.
  • Fitted dress or sundress that opens the shoulders. Italian women prefer to wear such clothes in summer. They are very beautiful, they should not hide their natural beauty. How do Italian women dress? Photos of celebrities will help to understand this, they are often published by popular media. Everyone knows Madonna and Monica Bellucci. How do these Italian women dress in the summer? Most often they can be seen in suits from Dolce & Gabbana. Unlike the unisex clothes of Japanese designers, classic dresses with a pronounced waist and a pencil skirt perfectly emphasize the feminine figure of Italian women.
  • The obligatory accessory is dark sunglasses. This thing must be of impeccable quality, because we are talking about the face. Proper selection of this subject is of great importance. You should choose a model of a well-known brand in the classic version. This frame is perfect for any wardrobe. Stylish sunglasses that are always in trend will perfectly complement the image of an Italian fashionista.

Winter:

  • How do Italian women dress in winter, what is the street fashion in Italy? Winters here are quite warm, but furs are consistently popular. At this time of the year, Italian women of fashion flaunt in fur coats or jackets with fur trim, their shoes and gloves can also be decorated with natural or artificial fur.
  • Italian women choose comfortable shoes for winter, most often with low heels. This wardrobe item does not have to be leather, suede is also possible. Italian winter shoes are comfortable ankle boots. Sports models are also in trend, young Italians prefer sneakers. They are quite warm, which is important in the cold season.

Spring and autumn:

  • The favorite color of Italian women's clothing is black. They often dress like this, their southern temperament does not affect this choice. A long dark coat is a wardrobe staple. This image is complemented by black tights and sunglasses - this is a classic combination.
  • How do Italian women dress in autumn? Usually they warm up - they put on jackets and leather coats, as soon as the mercury column on the street drops below +12 degrees.
  • Autumn shoes are comfortable shoes or jockey boots that go well with tight pants and sweaters. Italian fashionistas love outfits that consist of several layers. When spring comes, dresses and skirts with colorful prints peek out from under their coats or jackets. This is street fashion in Italy.

Italian women are very elegant, they always dress elegantly. What is the difference between their style and the image of Russian women? To answer this question and understand why Italian women are different, you need to immerse yourself in their culture.

If you see an Italian lady in an evening dress, high heels and bright makeup, most likely she is a movie star. Or this woman is preparing for a solemn event. Ordinary Italian women dress in fashionable but comfortable clothes in everyday life. Our women in everyday life always wear heels and make up heavily. At the same time, they look like Italian women who are going to a holiday.

How can one explain such different behavior in relation to fashion? Italian women live in comfortable conditions for a long time, and their taste has long been formed. Russian women only after the collapse of the USSR were given the opportunity to follow world fashion trends. They do not always succeed in this, it is not easy to catch up with Western fashion.

Let's take the Milan-Moscow flight as an example. Italian and Russian women can be distinguished immediately, the difference is visible to the naked eye. Our ladies, despite the inconveniences of the road, travel in heels, tight jeans, and lipstick on their lips. Because our woman should always be beautiful! Italians are not concerned about this, they usually dress in comfortable clothes and shoes, they have a minimum of makeup on their faces. But the essential elements of an Italian woman's wardrobe are a chic bag and stylish sunglasses. Obviously, the concept of beauty among Russians and Italians is different.

This moment is reflected in the famous Italian proverb: “We put on everything we could for this wedding ... even the dresser itself!” So in Italy they say when they dress for a wedding. In Russia, this means putting on your best all at once. Our women dress like this every day! What does the average Italian woman look like if she works, and at the end of the day rushes to kindergarten, to school to pick up her child or to the grocery store?

  1. Italians in everyday life look elegant and simple, they dress in comfortable straight jeans or a knee-length skirt.
  2. They choose comfortable shoes, without heels - the rhythm of life obliges this. The Italian woman has light make-up on her face, she holds an expensive bag in her hands. This wardrobe item is a must! Completes the image of the minimum amount of jewelry.

  3. The makeup of Italians is most often smoky eyes, with the help of such makeup they emphasize beautiful eyes.
  4. Women in Italy use lipstick infrequently, only on special, solemn occasions. Applying red lipstick is considered a sign of vulgarity here, this color is allowed only in the makeup of older women. Many elderly Italian women dress elegantly and paint their lips, imagining themselves as a queen.

No Italian, even if she is aged, will ever wear gold jewelry with diamonds during the day. This is considered bad manners. Fashionistas wear simple jewelry - jewelry, large bracelets, watches that look like men's. Girls love Tiffany brooches, young Italians can afford a small necklace.

In summer, Italian women wear a large number of bracelets on their wrists. They masterfully manage to combine them with each other.

  5. Shoes and bags - Italian women are not indifferent to these accessories.
  6. Italian women believe that these wardrobe items must be of very high quality. Fashionistas spare no time, standing in line for hours at sales of fashion collections. It is not uncommon for luxury or exclusive handbag models to be inherited.

Italian women usually collect the necessary amount within a few months to purchase an expensive bag that they like. This is the peculiarity of the inhabitants of the Apennine Peninsula. In Italy, it is believed that to complete a stylish look, there is nothing better than a designer bag or shoes.

  7. Italian women do not wear high boots with heels.
  8. They do not understand the charm of such shoes, because the climate in Italy is warm, even in winter it is not very cold here. Southern women do not know what Russian winter is, in our climate they would not refuse boots. Sometimes Italian fashionistas still choose such shoes, but without a heel, and in shape they will rather not be boots, but high boots.

  9. Italian women dress in a way that demonstrates their ability to combine colors in a wardrobe in an amazing way.
  10. You can learn this skill from them, they successfully combine seemingly incongruous colors in clothes - blue, red, green, scarlet and yellow. Southern women prefer to dress in bright colors. An Italian woman can dress in a blue suit with cognac-colored accessories, and she will look very elegant at the same time.

How do Italian women dress in 2018? They prefer the simplest clothes. The main thing is that the colors are bright, then the look of the Italian woman will be simply amazing.

  11. Why do Italian women always look chic in any clothes they wear? Because they have dark skin, they are tanned!
  12. Russian women have pale skin. Only during the summer holidays do they sunbathe a little, basking in the sun. Italians get the sun all year round. As soon as the temperature outside rises to 20 degrees, they put on sunglasses and expose their bodies to the sun, wanting to conquer Italian men.

  13. Italy is a sunny country, so fashionistas here wear dark glasses all year round. Many women can no longer do without this accessory.
  14. They never take off their glasses, neither indoors nor in transport. Some Italian women choose accessories of unusual shapes, decorated with sequins or rhinestones, to distinguish themselves from other women. This makes the inhabitants of Italy somewhat similar to Russian women.

  15. Looking at the Italians, we can conclude that moderation is always necessary in everything.

Of course, you can use high-heeled shoes, bright makeup and false nails, as well as dress in a short dress when you need to go out.

But our women already have natural beauty. Not always high heels, rhinestones and bright cosmetics are appropriate, they do not add much attractiveness to our ladies. As the famous Giorgio Armani said, elegance in a woman should not be conspicuous, it only helps her to be remembered.

How do Italian women usually dress at different ages?

  • Italian women under 27 most often prefer a sporty or casual style;

This direction in clothing does not imply the presence of heels. But if desired, shoes with a small stable heel are allowed. More often girls choose ballet flats or sneakers.

The sexy style that Russian girls love so much is not typical of the Apennines. Tight outfits are much less common there. Young Italian women will never choose this style of dress. They usually dress in loose and bulky clothes such as baggy sweaters, trousers and T-shirts. Italian men, of course, do not like such clothes on girls.

Italians meticulously choose only a bag, jacket and scarf. The bag must be large. It is better if it is expensive, and just fine when the bag is made of leather. A scarf is desirable in bright colors, there are never too many scarves! The jacket, of course, should be only leather.

A young Italian woman dresses like a teenager. Such clothes will not emphasize her femininity.

But Italians believe that there is no need to dress so sexy if you are going to work or school. In the campaign for bread or to the grocery store, evening shoes with heels are also inappropriate.

  • Italian women aged 30 to 55 already prefer an elegant variety of casual style.

This style is quite feminine and sophisticated. How do Italian women dress after 40? In their wardrobe there are black trousers, jeans, long dark cardigans, a coat and a trench coat. Shoes are shoes or moccasins with a small heel. At this age, an Italian woman prefers to wear high heels only in a restaurant or during other festive events.

Such women dress in high-quality models of famous brands that are decently priced. You should not choose economy class clothes at this age.

How do Italian women dress after 50? They carefully select rings, watches, bracelets or pendants, competently adding this or that accent to the image. Because Italian women believe that with age they should dress more elegantly and pay attention to accessories.

  • Italians of retirement age.

What do Italian women look like at the age of 70 and over? These are grandmothers who dress in a fur coat, classic trousers and a pastel-colored blouse. On their feet they have black shoes without heels, around their necks are beads of pearls. They sit in a cafe and drink coffee with friends. This is a portrait of a typical Italian pensioner. The Italian remains a real woman to the end, who takes care of herself, dresses in things from leading brands and puts on light makeup.

In this country, especially in the urban environment, you will not meet grandmothers in headscarves or chintz dresses, which can often be seen in Russia.

How to replicate the great Italian style

How to look flawless, stylish and chic in any life situation? This is not difficult to achieve. If you consider the style of Italian women to be the reference, listen to the following tips. To make things easier, just follow the 10 rules below. This will come in handy when you think about what style to dress in.

  • Do not mix more than three colors in one look.

The combination of more than three colors at the same time creates a kind of Harlequin effect, the image will turn out to be chaotic.

  • Dress in basic colors.

The choice of basic colors to create an image is a distinctive feature of the Italian style. And although a new color is in fashion every season, you should not use only bright colors when forming an image. It is better to dress in classic colors - black, beige, brown, burgundy, gray and flesh. Then she will not be able to quickly get bored with you.

  • You need to consider your age.

At any age, you can choose the appropriate style and dress in things to your liking. A woman is always worthy of respect, no matter how old she is.

  • Pamper yourself.

You need to understand what type of figure you have, accept yourself any. Then you can favorably emphasize your strengths and competently hide your flaws. Women with any form, full, thin, short and tall, need to dress in such clothes and shoes that will adorn them.

  • Basic things should be in any wardrobe.

Things created by world brands are classics that never go out of fashion. They are suitable for any occasion. You can, depending on the situation, dress in a little black dress, a silk shirt, a blouse with a neckline, a beautifully fitting figure, or an elegant coat. Such chic things form the basis of any wardrobe. If you dress like this, then your image will be impeccable, like that of Italians.

  • The quality of the materials is very important.

Dress in clothes made from quality fabrics. Silk, cashmere and wool are very durable fabrics, they wear out slowly. If you dress in things from such materials, you can look very elegant.

  • Take care of good underwear.

Your wardrobe should have quality underwear. This is very important, excellent underwear gives a woman confidence, she looks better when she feels good. Lingerie doesn't have to be sexy. You can dress in simple, but at the same time comfortable, beautiful and neat underwear. It is necessary to choose the right underwear, it must fit in size.

  • You need to dress appropriately for the situation.

Often women make the same mistake. They do not take into account the occasion for which they dress. A tracksuit is completely inappropriate for a solemn or official ceremony. A mini skirt with high heels for walking the dog or having tea with friends is also not suitable.

  • Better is less.

The famous Coco Chanel said that before going out, you should definitely look at yourself in the mirror in order to remove something superfluous. A large number of accessories will not make you stylish; rather, on the contrary, you will become like a Christmas tree.

  • Follow fashion trends thoughtfully.

Moderation is good in everything, do not lose your common sense in striving to dress only in such outfits that are in trend. You need to try to combine fashion trends with your style. Your tastes and preferences in this matter should prevail. You should find a reasonable compromise between fashion trends and your personality.

You have now learned a lot about Italian fashion. But this style has its own distinctive features that cannot be written off.

  1. Every Italian city has its own beauty standards.
  2. Everyone knows about the famous Italian style and elegance of Italian women. But not all women in the country dress the same way. Every city in Italy has its own rules and standards of beauty.

For example, ladies from Piedmont and Turin are characterized by a certain restraint in clothing, due to their bourgeois and philistine tendencies. How do Italian women dress in Milan? These glamorous Italian women dress up with special sophistication. After all, they are trendsetters.

Most Italians living in Milan are blondes (not naturally, of course). There are more of them here than in any other city in Italy. Italian women living in Rome choose clothes that emphasize the figure. They often dress in miniskirts and blouses with plunging necklines; the warm climate allows them to do so.

  3. Italian women carry love for beauty and fashion throughout their lives.
  4. Italy is a country of bright and stylish women, they keep their love of fashion until old age. In the evenings, the Italian streets are filled not only with laughing youth, but also with ladies of venerable age, who are well over 70. They sit on the summer terraces and drink wine or treat themselves to pasta in expensive restaurants. Often they are accompanied by friends or husbands. It happens that these older women have fun alone.

As a rule, their hairstyles are perfect, their lips are made up with red lipstick, their hands and feet have impeccable manicures and pedicures. In promotional photos, you can see that Italian aged women dress in beautiful clothes and prefer high-heeled shoes. The image of such a lady is often used by Italian advertisers: an elderly woman with a fan, surrounded by children and grandchildren, looking with dignity at what is happening around.

  5. Italian women prefer not to save on accessories.
  6. Accessories for Italian women are of great importance. Sunglasses are a must-have item in your wardrobe. Italians have a special weakness for this accessory. They wear glasses all the time, day and night, both outdoors and indoors. It doesn't matter if the sun is shining or it's pouring rain. The passion of Italians for original headdresses is also known.

  7. In determining the style, the main role is played by the mentality, not the climate.
  8. Italians living in the north of the country are more restrained and closed than southerners. The life principles of northerners are more adjusted, so they dress more calmly and more elegantly. Southern women are more creative, they express themselves more boldly in outfits. The environment has a great influence on the style of clothing that a woman chooses.

The Italian, who lives in Milan, is a cosmopolitan and polyglot. She, unlike the Roman woman, is focused on making a career. Milan is the financial and cultural center of the country, which obliges the inhabitants of this city to know several languages, understand foreign cultures, attend exhibitions and theaters. Italian women living in Milan dress to attract attention without standing out.

  9. The style of Italian women expresses a view of the world.
  10. Italians are very cheerful, they love their country, their loved ones and relatives, they love to receive guests and arrange feasts. Italians are a peaceful and good-natured nation, they easily look at life and the world. This is reflected in the way they dress.

A real Italian will not leave any beautiful woman without a sign of attention, he always whistles after her or says compliments. The Italian perceives such actions as a sign that her beauty is sincerely admired. There is no question of any sexism, both sides treat it with humor. Italian women are happy to dress in mini-skirts and cleavage, and often wear dresses that fit the figure.

  11. Italians have a soft spot for brands.
  12. Milan is known not only for groups of anonymous alcoholics, gluttons and drug addicts, but also for communities of anonymous shopaholics. Italian women don't earn very much per month, from 1200 to 1500 euros, but they try to dress in things only from leading designers, buy their shoes and bags. One such bag costs at least 600 euros. It is not uncommon for an Italian woman to purchase a bag that can cost more than 1,000 euros by taking out a loan for several months.

Especially prone to this are residents of large cities - Rome, Venice, Milan and Turin. In small towns and villages, Italian women dress in clothes that are not so famous brands, but also quite expensive.

For example, in a place that is located 200 kilometers from Milan, there is usually only one store selling bags and shoes. All high-quality things with a price of about 100 euros are completely bought up by the residents of this village.

Currently, the shoe market is full of Italian brands and brands. For the sake of easy money, designer shoes are often faked. The Chinese are so adept at counterfeiting that even a professional can't spot a fake product right away. How to find genuine shoe products on the market and not run into a fake at the same time?

Five signs of real Italian shoes:

Italian companies usually make shoes in small batches, often they produce the so-called piece goods. Such exclusive products must have appropriate insignia - certificates with official seal and autograph of the manufacturer. All documentation must be in the language of the country of manufacture. If such documents are not provided to you upon purchase, it is better to refuse such an “Italian”. China, on the other hand, usually supplies goods in large quantities, with a minimum quantity of up to 150 identical pairs.

Myth 1. Paint gives fake products.

Until recently, it was believed that if there are traces of paint on the feet when wearing shoes, then this is necessarily a fake. Experts advised before buying shoes to check them: use a damp and dry light-colored cloth, alternately wiping the inner surface of the product with them. Then it was necessary to see if traces of paint remained on the fabric. But this is a delusion.

This myth must be dispelled. Traces can be left from any colored skin if it comes into contact with any chemical reagents, which may be found, for example, in foot cream or body lotion. If feet are stained as a result of wearing shoes, this does not necessarily mean that they are of poor quality. In Europe, such products are not considered defective, as is often the case in our country.

Myth 2. A distinctive feature of shoes made in Italy is a raised toe.

This is not always the case, do not think that every “Italian” should have a raised toe, that this is her trademark. It is a myth. As a rule, this is just a style of some Italian manufacturers, nothing more. This cannot be a guarantee that the shoes are made in Italy.

Myth 3. Perfection of all seams.

Not all Italian manufacturers are prone to such pedantry. If the seams on their product are not perfect, this does not mean at all that it is necessarily of poor quality or fake. It is a myth.

Myth 4. Leather shoes are made only in Europe.

The next myth is the assertion that leather products cannot be created in China, and if a product is made of leather, then it is produced only in Europe. It's a delusion. Currently, leather shoes are produced in all countries. Another thing is that its quality can vary significantly. Leather Chinese shoes are often found on the market, but they can be poorly made or too thin. The quality of such products leaves much to be desired.

Myth 5. Everything is made in China.

The main myth is that today everything is made in China, European products simply do not exist. This also applies to the shoe industry. But this is not true, in Italy there are thousands of companies that make shoes. Many factories were founded almost a hundred years ago and are known all over the world. Their products are of very high quality, because all technologies have been worked out for a long time, and manufacturers do not give out their secrets to anyone. A real "Italian" always compares favorably with a Chinese fake.

I love to study the street style of residents of different cities!
And I often arrange a "photo hunt" and make reports on this topic on my blog.

As for the people of Milan...
IMHO, men dress and look much better than women there. Competition.
In Milan, the business capital, men come to live and work from all over Italy and beyond :)

This report contains bright, unusual, strange and most typical female images with my comments and observations.

All photos were taken in February, just in the same weather as we have now: wind, humidity and no higher than +7...

That sun and +12-16. Just right for the new pony sausage sandals :)

The girl looks like some linguistics student, doesn't she?

And these friends are clearly students of the Brera Academy of Fine Arts - you can meet similar ones near the University of Culture :)

A couple more years, and they will look like this - giving preference to monochrome and classics.
Or maybe not.

By the way, returning to the last post about men's Milanese street fashion, where I touched on the topic of the quality of things.
Milanese women who take care of themselves prefer only wool and cashmere (angora, mohair, alpaca, etc.). It is better to have one natural sweater than three synthetic ones for the money - their principle.

There are many women in Milan that catch the eye.

Another lady who aroused admiration at first sight... But it's about energy, I didn't even notice the clothes...:)

Confess: toWhich images do you like and which don't?

Let's start with the winter months: during the winter, Milan gets grey, cold and foggy. Of course, the Milan fogs are not as famous as the London ones, but believe me, they happen very often in winter and autumn. Snow rarely falls in winter, it rains more. So you are unlikely to need boots with fur, it is better to stay on the demi-season version, but waterproof. Since the temperature in winter rarely drops below zero (with the possible exception of the last three days of January, the famous "giorni della merla" - the coldest days of the year), you will not need fur coats and sheepskin coats either. It is better to opt for a warm jacket or a down jacket, now the so-called 100 gram down jackets are very fashionable, the name does not come from 100 grams of vodka, but because the down jacket is lightweight, and its total weight does not exceed one hundred grams - ideal for the Milanese winter, a must have for everyone Milanese, besides, it is very convenient for travel - it can be easily folded and packed into a small package. For those who go shopping with me, I will show you where you can buy them in Milan.
I want to dwell on shoes in more detail: for those who go to Milan for shopping or tourists, be sure to take comfortable shoes without heels with you - almost the entire historical center of Milan is paved with paving stones, so it’s not very convenient to move around in heels. High-heeled shoes will come in handy if you are going to visit an expensive restaurant or a nightclub in the evening, stilettos will look appropriate and sexy here, a clutch bag and a little black dress will also come in handy for an evening out - a universal outfit in any establishment.
From March to May in Milan comes the most fertile time in terms of climate. The winter cold and fogs have already ended, but the summer heat and stuffiness have not yet begun, the sun is shining brightly, everything is blooming and fragrant. Beauty! During this period, I advise you to take a light waterproof jacket, raincoat or trench coat with you on the train to Milan, as it rains quite often, be sure to wear sunglasses and comfortable ballet flats (or buy them already in Italy), by the way, ballet flats are another must-have Milanese fashionistas.
Summer months. The weather is usually very hot, and stuffiness and high humidity make the heat simply unbearable. So stock up on light linen dresses, shorts and blouses, I categorically do not advise things made of synthetic materials: they will stick to the body from heat and moisture - not very pleasant and not very aesthetically pleasing.
Shoes: Comfortable if you intend to walk a lot. Sandals are fine, but keep in mind that if you have to use public toilets, light, closed shoes are still better. Now espadrilles are back in fashion - cloth shoes with rope soles made of natural materials, which I personally think are just perfect for walking around the city. Lightweight, comfortable, they are quite inexpensive in Milan, so you can buy different colors for any outfit. In addition, they take up very little space and can easily fit even in a handbag.

Very trendy ;-)

September October. The same fertile time in terms of climate as in spring, that is, the heat has already subsided, but the sun is still shining brightly, the weather is usually warm. A raincoat or jacket will definitely come in handy, but take a long scarf with you, but not woolen, but made of lighter materials, wrap it around your neck (you can leave the ends falling down, the more casually, the more stylish)

Italian known for being very well dressed. The desire to look great and stylish among the representatives of this nation sits deep, in the very blood. If you walk through the streets of Italian cities, you will notice that only well-groomed women surround you at every step. Mediterranean countries are famous for the fact that women strive to look at an unsurpassed high level in any situation.

beauty traditions. At the same time, an Italian woman will not necessarily be a beauty in the full sense of the word. The most important is the ability to present oneself, which is brought up from childhood and adds confidence in any situation. Therefore, every inhabitant of this country considers herself the most charming and beautiful.

It's hard to imagine Italian woman who does not like to go shopping in search of the next fashion masterpiece. Almost all of them know the features of a particular brand, understand their shortcomings and advantages. Of course, not everyone has enough money to buy a particularly fashionable wardrobe item, but at any opportunity, an Italian woman, if she has a choice between an inexpensive dress and a famous brand, will choose the latter.

different fashion. Many representatives of this sunny country know how to sew themselves, which they do with pleasure. At the same time, northerners dress differently than southerners. The South is distinguished by the fact that it loves clothes with the presence of such elements as gold buttons and other various rather bright decorations. The North dresses more reservedly and with a European twist. In particular, we are talking, of course, about Milan, which for the most part sets the fashion in the northern part of Italy.

Even in appearance northerners and southerners have a difference. Women from Milan are taller and slimmer, so they often wear trendy clothes. Southern women like to dress quite conservatively (in terms of following modern fashion), they love black colors, especially after the age of thirty. But at the same time, they wear black things with great dignity, which you can learn from them.

Milan fashion trends. A very large number of women wear black dresses, which are almost impossible to find in stores. Most likely, they sew them themselves. In winter, women wear short fur coats. And then they have no Greenpeace decree! They are also great leather lovers. In autumn and spring, many of them flaunt on the street in leather coats and jackets.

Big popularity thick mohair cardigans are used. They wear skinny jeans underneath. Despite the fact that wool products are quite expensive, Italians buy them with great pleasure.

Trousers in Italian women are at a premium. If at the same time there is a slender figure, then they are complemented by over the knee boots and boots with high heels. A constant attribute are sunglasses that are worn even in rainy weather. Many women prefer long hair to short hair.

Modern fashion in Milan. In the morning, Italian women always do their hair, put on makeup, do manicures, so many of them do not even have time for breakfast. So they run away from home on their own business, having drunk only a cup of cappuccino on the way.

From men to last thing time you can often hear that the current Italians are no longer the same as before. They do not want to babysit the children, they spend too much time at the mirror, selfishness has manifested in their character, and they demand more and more attention from their husband. A change is also manifested in a more active following of fashion, the choice of the most modern outfits.

Age differences of the Milanese style. Each age corresponds to a certain style of clothing. Italy is quite conservative in this regard, and in Milan it is quite easy to determine the gradation between the choice of style by women of a certain age.

25 - 30 years old. Sports-casual is more typical for women under thirty years old. They value comfort and almost never wear heels. The most common shoes are sneakers and flats.

At this age Milanese women prefer loose clothing. Emphasizing one's own and tight-fitting outfits in Milan are not popular. Often in the wardrobe of young girls there are an abundance of baggy sweaters and oversized T-shirts.

In general, this is a youth clothes, which is more versatile than emphasizing femininity, but Mediterranean beauties treat some elements carefully. For example, this is a choice of a high-quality expensive bag from a well-known brand, a leather jacket and bright scarves.

30 - 55 years old. Those who are over thirty years old, but less than sixty, prefer elegant femininity and elegant casual. Examples of this style are Milanese, who wear simple dark trousers and long cardigans, trench coats.

As shoes shoes with small heels or moccasins are used for the most part, and women in Milan of this age prefer to use high heels only for evening events. Each item of clothing is usually quite expensive and the use of economy brands is not common.

An important detail for such women are numerous accessories. These are various beads, bracelets, pendants, rings, watches. Almost every middle-aged woman in Milan prefers to have such elegant details as an addition.

55 years and over. Elderly women in Milan continue to follow their own image. Often you can see in this city a respectable lady in a blouse with pearl beads or a fur monto.

Retired Milanese women continue to follow fashion, pick up stylish clothes. In the city it is difficult to see an elderly woman in a headscarf and shapeless clothes. Fashion elegance in Milan is an essential element of existence, which is combined with financial well-being. Perhaps it is the latter factor that limits many compatriots from paying such close attention to modern fashion trends.
