Learning to write: how not to discourage the child from learning to learn? Learning to write We learn to write

I welcome all readers of the ShkolaLa blog in a new important topic.

“How to teach a child to write beautifully?”, - This generation is puzzled by more than one generation of parents of primary schoolchildren. “Like chicken paw!” “Dirt in the notebook!” “Explain, show, correct - but anyway, instead of letters, some scribbles come out!” Is that familiar? And you want to help the child, but just how? Well, let's get it together.

But just let's find out first, but is it necessary? Or maybe let a child write to himself how God will put his soul. Handwriting is not the most important thing in life. Moreover, now in adulthood everyone is basically typing texts on the keyboard, rather than manually writing.

Well, it's in an adult. And at school, basically everything is the old fashioned way, pens, notebooks and many, many notes. And if a child writes ugly and sloppy, then expect a decrease in performance on all fronts. Including oral subjects. After all, teachers of geography, history, biology also want to see cleanliness and order in notebooks.

And while the child is in 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th grade, the situation with ugly handwriting can be changed. To do this, you need to know what affects the beauty of handwriting. To letter to letter, tsiferka to tsiferka, and all the same growth and just like a ruler. And send notebooks at least to the exhibition.

Lesson plan:

Key components of calligraphic success

Developed fine motor skills

A child will not be able to write normally quickly and beautifully unless his fine motor skills are prepared for this. Arm muscles should be prepared for the upcoming loads of school. And for this they need to be developed.

For this, such entertainment tasks as:

  • drawing and coloring with pencils;
  • modeling from plasticine;
  • construction from small parts, for example, from the Lego constructor;
  • beadwork;
  • origami;
  • work with scissors;
  • sorting out cereals, etc.

You can do this at least every day and not only train motility, but also enjoy it.

It is foolish not to pay attention to the development of fine motor skills not only in terms of beautiful handwriting, but also in terms of the development of thinking, memory, and imagination. And without them in school life anywhere.

Sturdy back

It would seem, how are physical education and sport connected with beautiful handwriting? It turns out that the connection is direct! A flat back, a strong shoulder girdle, reliable posture, all this will allow the child to sit at the desk or at the desk correctly, evenly.

And posture during writing also influences handwriting. It will be difficult to write beautiful letters, lounging on a countertop or bending into three dooms.

So, “Get on the charge!” A daily simple set of morning exercises will bring the child closer to a beautiful handwriting. Charging on the blog "School" is dedicated, be sure to read.

Correct pen

Handles are different:

  • gel and ball;
  • thin and plump;
  • smooth and rough;
  • beautiful and not very.

What to choose for the younger student?

The choice should focus on the physiology of the children's hands. Our hands are still small, not strong. Therefore, the thick, heavy "feathers" put aside.

It’s great if the pen is beautiful, but, you see, this is not the main thing.

Vibrating between gel and ball preferences should be given last. Gel pens tend to abruptly stop writing or scratching paper, and the gel spreads very well on paper.

The handle shaft should be thin and leave a neat, thin mark. When buying a pen in a store, check it in practice, it should easily and simply slide on paper, without requiring much effort.

If the pen is made entirely of metal or plastic, then this is not the best choice. The child’s fingers will slide on it. It is better to choose a handle that has a special rubber pad with ribs or pimples at the place where it is gripped by the fingers.

Well and still, the teacher will surely be very grateful to you if you refuse the pens with buttons, which can be very fun to click on the lessons.

Correct grip

If a child holds a pen like this

or like that

Do you think he will be able to write beautifully? It may work, but only the letter will be very slow. Therefore, it is worth paying special attention to the correct retention of the handle.

Is that right? And this is when the pen rests on the middle finger, is held by the small pillow of the thumb and hides behind the index finger. And the little finger and the nameless serve to support the hands and slide bent over the paper.

This is where difficulties arise. Well, our little schoolchildren cannot get used to the correct position of the pen, and as soon as it is not grabbed.

Fortunately, dear parents, there are very specific ways to rectify this situation. Now I will tell you about them and show. Specially filmed with my son a first grader Artem for you video.

Tweezers method

This exercise will help your child understand how to hold it, this naughty ballpoint pen. The point is to grab the handle with three fingers (large, index, middle) at the very top and gradually slide your fingers down. The pen in this case itself will lie in the hand as it should. Watch the video.

Waypoint

Before starting any written work, draw a bright dot on the middle finger of the child. This will be the handle touchdown site. And on the pen, you can use the colored tape or tape to draw a lower limit beyond which fingers cannot be lowered.

Rezinochka method

Correctly hold the writing instrument will help ordinary banking eraser. Great simulator. We put the elastic on the handle and on the wrist of the child. And voila! The pen lies in the hand as it should. By the way, it also trains the muscles of the hand well.

Way "Napkin"

Another great and easy exercise. Fold an ordinary napkin so that the child can hold it with the little finger and pressed against the palm with the ring fingers. So, the little finger and the nameless are busy and cannot take part in the writing process. All that remains is the correct "writing" fingers.

Method "Self-taught pen"

Let's not forget about a special device called a self-taught pen. This is a handle on which to put on a special nozzle. The nozzle most often looks like a beautiful toy. A pen with such an overlay is simply impossible to take wrong. We ourselves have not tried it, but have heard many positive reviews.

The simulator for right-handed people "Self-taught handle" | Buy with delivery | My-shop.ru

Left-handed exercise machine "Self-taught handle" | Buy with delivery | My-shop.ru

These five ways, if you practice them constantly, will be quite enough for the child to understand and remember how to properly hold the pen.

Well, we train motility, we learn to handle the handle correctly. What else? What is the third principle?

Training

Nowhere without constant training in this business! You need to train constantly, and in the process of preparing for lessons, and outside this process. Here various prescriptions will come to your aid. For students in grade 1, you can take prescriptions by age, you can even purchase an additional set of prescriptions the same as at school.

Well, for older children, for students in grades 2, 3 and 4, a cheating exercise is perfect. Just take any text and copy it into a notebook. This exercise, among other things, will help your child get used to cheating. Indeed, in schools now not only writings, expositions and dictations are written, but also periodically carry out so-called control cheating.

No one canceled the exercises for hatching, stroke and drawing on cells. You can read more about them.

All of the above, dear parents, is enough to make the child’s handwriting if not calligraphic, then at least very, very pleasant. Yes, and also, I advise you to read the article on dysgraphy, it can make beautiful writing impossible.

I wish you patience and perseverance, and your little schoolchildren success in their studies and good health.

See you in new interesting articles!

Always yours, Evgenia Klimkovich

It would seem that yesterday your baby said the first word, took the first independent step, and today he is already a preschooler. He is interested in knowing the world, and an important help in cognition is the ability to read and reproduce what he read on paper.

Learning beautiful writing - the basic rules

Now we are faced with the first task - we learn to write letters. I recall the first spelling lessons at school, when the lesson “Calligraphy” was introduced into the program in the required order.

Remember those notebooks in a slanting ruler, on which first-graders displayed their first capital letters? Inkwell at the school desk?

And those first blots that accidentally fell from an ink pen and always, as luck would have it, on neatly drawn letters? But, the teaching style was no different from today. So, we learn to write capital letters correctly. To do this, take a notebook and for each aBC dweller»Select one sheet.

How can parents teach a child to write capital letters? The beginning of each line should begin with a neatly capitalized letter in your hand. Do not put pressure on the child, encourage every attempt. At the same time, tactfully indicate his mistake.

Remember that during this period your praise is very important for him - it is still difficult for him to believe in his abilities. Be patient and, most importantly - tune in to success!

You can buy your preschooler special prescriptions for preschoolers, which are now freely available in any clerical department of the supermarket. Give the kid a pencil in his hands - let him write out any shapes to them.

Pay attention to whether the child holds it correctly in his hands, as the printed output in pencil. The main thing is that the child can correctly develop fine motor skills of the hands. Thus, you exercise the parts of the brain that are responsible for fine motor skills, and therefore for writing.

To do this, you need to include finger training in your classes. Puzzles, mosaics, drawing, origami, modeling from plasticine, etc. perfectly develop motor skills of hands. You need to ensure that the baby's fingers obey him.

Do not stop writing at the same time. Only after the baby learns to beautifully display the previous letter, can he be invited to start writing the next one. At the same time, remember that there must be breaks between classes.

So, gradually, step by step, the ability to write correctly is developed. A child, especially at preschool age, seeks to master as much as possible. This is a wonderful property of children, but you need to understand - until he has mastered one task properly, you should not trust him with another.

Such errors can lead to the formation of a bad trait in character, that is, not to complete the work that has been started. What to do tactfully in our case, when we try to teach him how to write beautifully?

How to teach your child write beautiful letters? To do this, try to teach your preschooler to write beautifully a few vowels and a few consonants. Choose those from which you can add a word that he would be pleased to display with his not yet completely obedient fingers.

For example, “ma-ma”. Write the syllable “ma” and offer to rewrite it in beautiful letters. When it starts to work out, you can combine the two syllables and watch the children's reaction - there will be no limit to joy. After all, he could write this sweet and dear word on his own.

Be patient and soon your efforts will bear wonderful results.

Important milestones in writing

So let's summarize. When we learn to write, we need to go through several important steps:

  • Stroke To do this, you will need special prescriptions with words, letters and numbers. There are also various geometric shapes, circles, waves, etc .;
  • Mandatory wildcard letter. It will be easier for the child to work when he always has a beautifully written sample in front of his eyes;
  • Rewriting syllables, words, phrases. At this stage, only the first and second stage prescriptions should be used;
  • We fix skills. Encourage your child to write daily a few words or sentences of their choice. Now it will be most difficult for him to cope with the task, because before his eyes there will no longer be a template. Now your little student knows how to write letters correctly and easily.

It’s impossible to say exactly how much time you will need to spend time. For some, the goal is achieved in 2-3 months, while others may need even 1 year. In any case, be patient and do everything so that your preschooler does not lose interest in self-improvement.

Handwriting deteriorated - why?

Well, how quickly your preschooler has already become a schoolboy, and soon he will not only have to write in beautiful letters, but also learn the spelling rules. It is possible that at this stage his handwriting may noticeably worsen.

The reason for this is as follows:

  • the teacher dictates quickly;
  • uncertainty in spelling;
  • restlessness;
  • habit to write off.

And if you could not prevent this, then it is in your power to fix everything. To do this, invite the child to write any text dictated. Take his manuscript and with it select those characters that, in your opinion, are spelled poorly.

Now you have to start all over again, that is, write one letter on each sheet of the notebook. His task is to learn to write it every day until writing becomes a habit for him.

After some time, try again with a short text. So you will be able to reach perfection, and the child's handwriting will again become beautiful and understandable. Check your student’s notebooks regularly. Try not to miss the moment when his spelling begins to deteriorate. Remember that it’s much easier to correct your handwriting in time, right after the first failures.

Tricks of high school students - benefit or harm?

Another fairly common reason that affects handwriting is developed in high school children. These are unlearned lessons. Imagine such a moment in the life of a high school student. A schoolboy did not learn a history lesson, for example.

The teacher calls him to the blackboard, and in order not to get a poor grade, he tries to read the text from the textbook on the first desk, that is, upside down.

How to learn to write? This question torments many parents. If earlier this was done in elementary school, today in the first grade a child goes already with primary skills. For their development, you can use materials for preschoolers, they are literally littered with store shelves. But where to start and how to make sure that classes on them do not turn into torture for the baby? Let's figure it out together.

Learning to write - developing fine motor skills

To prepare a child for writing ideally a couple of years before school. The best thing is to start at four years old. Indeed, at this age, he can already approach the issue meaningfully, but he still has enough time to hone his skills. The kid must master fine motor skills. For its development, there are effective ways:

1) buy a designer with not large parts. Let him fantasize and collect whatever he wants;
2) for girls, a hobby can be useful in which beads or beads are threaded on a string;
3) many people like sculpting from clay or clay, you see, this is a very useful and entertaining pastime;
4) and finally, in the development of motor skills, the notorious coloring books are also useful, just try to buy the one whose heroes are interesting to your baby.

By the way, this not only develops motor skills, but also contributes to the formation of attentiveness, perseverance, accuracy and improvement of the eye. And this, without a doubt, will be useful to your baby.

Only when he takes up the pen, do not forget that in order to write beautifully and quickly, he must hold a pencil or pen correctly. Correct errors in the bud, and not long and hard to retrain after. By the way, special nozzles appeared on sale that help him to hold a pen or pencil.

Learning to write - first recipe

When you see, the hand is ready and does not go beyond the boundaries when coloring, you can proceed to the writing. For the baby, this is a very responsible step. Of course, at first he will not succeed. Do not rush or push on him. Even the worst written squiggle should be commended. Also ignore the dirt, have fun, the only way you can interest the baby.

The first works are light. Before writing, master the drawing of lines, squiggles. We recommend that you start working out straight lines, then go to the sloping, and then to the curved. Pictures with a dotted line for connection will help. Multicolored notebooks with small poems or stories are perfect for classes. The more exciting the process, the more effective.

When drawing various stripes is well mastered, you can move on to geometric shapes. Of course, it will be more interesting for the baby not only to circle the squares or triangles, but to build a real picture from them.

Learning to write - recipe for the second stage

When he is already confidently encircling the dashed stripes of different shapes and lengths, you can try to proceed to the second stage. Materials where you need to continue the drawing, shade it or try to repeat the geometric figure will help. At this stage, notebooks may not be so bright anymore, as a rule, they start to work at the age of five to six years, when he already understands that this is important for his subsequent life. Assess stricter efforts, pay attention to dirt and sloppiness. And still do not forget to praise your little worker, especially if you see that he is trying and thinking.

Learning to write letters and numbers

When he independently learned to draw straight and geometric shapes, he should gradually begin to enter letters and numbers. For starters, it can only be their elements. For example, some drawings that include the same bends. For more diligent and purposeful children, it is suitable where the elements of letters and numbers are written in a row. You need to know the alphabet and numbers, so it will be much easier.

By the way, if your student has already learned to write in print, and before school is enough, you can try to work with him as with first graders. If he writes, then it will be much easier for him. Your baby’s attention to copybooks is required here. After all, capital letters are written according to certain rules so that they can be combined into words. Find copybooks where everything will be drawn with arrows showing directions.

Learning to write - mood

An important factor is the mood. Psychologists have long discovered that the beauty and accuracy of handwriting is largely dependent on the emotional state. You can not proceed if the baby is upset. In addition, never compare your baby with other children, especially if the comparison is not in his favor. Never scold a student if he cannot write, and praise as much as possible for success. Before you write carefully, a long and difficult path will be covered, be a support. Also in the mood is important motivation. One must really want to write, not only praise, but also a reward (for example, a welcome book) will be quite appropriate.

In addition to everything else, consider the fact that learning torments the child himself. And this is a huge pressure, especially if you rush it or constantly underestimate it. He may have a protest when he stops trying, and it will be very, very difficult to reverse this situation. Therefore, the more patient you are, the happier your baby will be.

Learning to write - helping your child relax after class

For you to write symbols or even words does not cost anything, but for your child it is hard mental and physical work, after which he needs to rest and recover. First of all, the time for preschoolers should not exceed twenty minutes. After working on the lessons, we advise you to somehow distract yourself. For example, outdoor games or reading a book. It will be nice to relax the muscles of the hands. To do this, you can do a well-known exercise "we wrote, we wrote, our fingers are tired," or hold a small massage session. Pay maximum attention to the hands and forearms. In order to relax them, you can gently pinch your muscles, stroke or gently pat them. Such a massage will be not only useful, but also pleasant for the baby.

Learning to write - how to deal with carelessness

Many parents complain that their children are extremely inattentive during the scriptures. Indeed, kids, their life until recently consisted of games and entertainment alone rather reluctantly sit down at the recipe. As mentioned earlier, you need to prepare physically and psychologically. It would be good if study brought pleasure not only to him, but also to you. Believe me, he will immediately notice if you are bored. Therefore, you can’t watch TV, listen to music or anything else in parallel. Immerse yourself as much as possible and help if necessary.

Of course, perseverance also depends on the psychological type of a particular child. Some cannot sit still for a long time. Provide the most comfortable and relaxing environment. Make sure nothing can distract him. If you notice that in the process he begins to change his posture often, then he needs a warm-up. It's okay if the work is interrupted for a minute for a small charge.

In addition, mindfulness can be developed like any other skill. To do this, a warm-up called “each letter has its own color” is suitable. Agree with the child that each letter will have its own color (in the game use only a few, not the entire alphabet), then dictate them to him quickly, but so that he has time to change the pencil and write the letter.

Learning to write - a few fundamental rules

Whatever prescriptions you choose, in order to effectively train, you must adhere to a couple of rules.

1) Move from simple to more complex. Even if your baby shows extraordinary mental abilities, it is worth starting with an elementary one.

2) The more colorful and interesting the recipe will be at first, the more wonderful. It’s good for a child to get carried away.

3) Remember praise and encouragement. But remember that they must be deserved. You need to clearly understand that "without labor - you can’t get a fish out of the pond either."

4) He will draw more than one copybook with squiggles. Do not worry that he does not succeed right away, training is a rather long process.

5) Never crush, much less raise your voice at him. If you see that the child does not work, you should firmly, but calmly find out the reason why he has no desire. If the baby is elementary tired, stop the lesson.

6) Do not be guided by the principle that the more you write, the better. The lessons will be better and more fun, then he will get tired less.

7) Recently, it is widely believed that it is best to learn to write with an ordinary soft, simple pencil. Studies show that indeed, at the beginning of classes with the help of a simple pencil, the correct pressure is generated.

8) Do not forget that all children are different, and everyone needs an approach. And finding it is easiest for parents. And you can teach anyone to write accurately. True, if your baby is left-handed, quiet, or, conversely, a fidget, you will have to spend a lot of effort on this.

In conclusion, I would like to say that the ability to write beautifully, accurately and competently is a merit not only of teachers and the children themselves, but also of parents who do not waste their lives and work with their kids. Therefore, if the child is already four years old, hurry to buy a lot of various materials, and also stock up with patience and understanding, you have been provided with hard work for a couple of years. But pride in the baby, who will receive excellent marks, will more than pay for all efforts.

A few months ago, Sasha and I began to practice with a rough alphabet. At first they tried to do everything as expected according to the method. But, this option is not very suitable. Therefore, little by little we have drawn our own system (if you can call it that) of classes. Who cares, it looks like this.
  For one lesson, consider 2 letters (one new and one repeat). The order of letters does not matter. It is only necessary to pay attention so that the letters are not similar (it is impossible together E and Z, or L and M, well, etc.). Letters printed on plain paper I hang on the board to remind of myself. Then Sasha traces the rough letters with her fingers.

Then do the strokes. We put a sheet of thin paper on the printed version and Sasha outlines the outline with a felt-tip pen. By the way, the letters in the photo, Sasha completely circled herself, without my help at all. The first letters, of course, turned out to be curves and often had to help. And towards the middle of the alphabet, as is noticeable in the photo, the daughter “filled her hand”.

These two exercises are the main part of the lesson. That is, if we are engaged in letters, then we always do these 2 things, and everything else is not necessary, what you want from the proposal.

Sasha writes letters on the croup. Again in this photo, only Sasha’s work. What I asked her to write, she wrote. I myself was a little shocked. Of course, not all letters work so beautifully. And by the end of the alphabet, the daughter generally ceased to love to write them on the croup. Now it displays on the board.

Sasha also glues letters with beads using tweezers and fingers,

Finds block letters in magnetic alphabet,

Looks for letters in words and put words together in pictures,

Listens to verses from the alphabet,

And from the electronic poster,

Writes block letters on a stencil.

We also have cubes with letters, but they are not interesting to Sasha. I have long understood that specifically my child’s Zaitsev’s system will not work at all. The daughter never showed interest in cubes. The biggest progress is to build a tower out of them, that's all! We also tried to sculpt letters, but this did not work either. More precisely, Sasha sculpts anything, just not letters.

I did not expect Sasha to like these classes so much. It sometimes comes to me when I do something and so plaintively asks: "Maaam! Will we deal with letters?" Well, what can I say, we are doing a little bit :-)

I forgot about cartoons! A good series about the letters ABC - baby. The lessons of Aunt Owls. When we practice letters, in the evening we watch short cartoons about the letters that have been passed.
