The interior of the doors in the apartment. How to choose beautiful interior doors? Modern white interior doors

18.05.2018 You will read it in 14 minutes.

For any professional designer, doors are an important part of an interior design concept. They can visually raise the height of the premises, create the desired atmosphere, emphasize the decorative technique and at the same time remain somewhat invisible.

With photographs from the portfolio of the Fundament Group (Moscow), we will illustrate how various interior doors affect the appearance of the interior: white, gray, black, sliding and swing doors. Our designers make each project unique, with a twist, beautiful and at the same time practical for its owners.

Sliding white doors in the interior

Glass white doors, handpicked by a professional designer, will help you make the interior more original. Translucent partitions increase the illumination of the premises and visually increase their volume.

Sliding doors will help to make the interior of an apartment or house more ergonomic. You spend less time and effort to open or close it, it looks more aesthetically pleasing in any condition, and also saves a couple of square meters of space, which, in terms of all doors in an apartment, can reach 10-20 square meters. And this, you see, is a lot. Also, partitions of this type are often used in the design of dressing rooms, storage areas, cabinets of various formats, including built-in ones.

Entrance to the kitchen and living room

In this apartment renovation project, our designers combine several types of doors for different zones; they use moldings, stucco molding and porcelain stoneware with a marble pattern in the decoration. Please note that the ceiling design was designed specifically for the unusual shape of the corridor, which is explained by the convenient zoning of the public and private areas in the apartment.

Hallway filled with air and light

Sliding doors made in the workshop to order according to the designer's project are especially popular in the interior of the kitchen, loggia, in the hallway and bathroom, in the corridor - where the lack of light and space can be especially acute. If you want to have a beautiful and trendy white interior, you cannot do without the right interior doors.

Large sliding doors from floor to ceiling

In the photo: Design of an open kitchen-living room with glass doors

If we look at the same interior in a modern style with Scandinavian elements from the side of the living room, we immediately notice that large glass partitions here are one of the most important design motives. The rectangular decorative layout on the door leaves is in harmony with the cubic shape of the kitchen set.

A breath of the sun

When joining a loggia in an apartment (or if there is a winter garden in a country house), sliding doors are almost irreplaceable. Typically, for such an interior, our clients choose large-format glass doors - from floor to ceiling and from wall to wall in order to let in as much sunlight as possible into the room.

Classic interior doors can be an excellent addition to a composition of decorative stucco moldings, moldings, boiserie panels and other exquisite finishes. Look at the photo above and you will see a clear confirmation of this. The renovation of this apartment in the city of Khimki, Moscow Region, was carried out by the Foundation Group of Companies in 2017.

In medium-sized apartments (up to 80-90 square meters), sliding interior partitions are used very often. To save space in the room, our designers choose light and white doors with mirrored inserts. And the style of the interior can be favorably emphasized with the help of a decorative layout on the door leaf.

Small kitchen? Use sliding doors with stained glass inserts!

If you choose sliding doors because you want to make your house more spacious and more comfortable, first of all you should think about them in the kitchen and on the loggia, as well as in the hallway - for cabinets and interior doors leading to other areas of the apartment.

Sliding light doors in cream shades

Sliding doors with stained glass windows in the living room are always a good idea when it comes to classic styles. Especially often, such doors are used in French interiors, where there are often two living rooms at once, a separate dining room, and a kitchen.

Such stained glass doors can lead to corridors and even bedrooms. Modern options for sliding doors have the same locking systems as conventional ones, therefore they can provide complete privacy. Matting, tinted glass, as well as high-quality sound insulation of branded models allow them to be used in the bedroom and bathroom.

Stained glass doors are another suggestion from our interior designers. Stained glass windows are always made of glass and can be tinted, ornamented, colored frescoes or panels, even inlaid with rhinestones!

Interior doors with stained-glass windows are good in the kitchen, in the bedroom and in the children's room - where you want to create an atmosphere of magic and comfort of your own home. Themed stained glass windows depicting vines are often used in wine cellars, Victorian frescoes on stairs, with tropical or beach vibes in the pool.

Solid partitions with original ornaments

Another option for sliding doors between the kitchen and the living room (pictured above) is interesting for its original ornament. By the way, there are even doors with illumination, glossy, inlaid, with mirror finishes, stained glass and many others.

Swinging white entrance and interior doors

Fashionable entrance doors in neoclassical style

In small apartments and rooms, white doors are almost always the right solution. But they do not fit in all styles as well as in neoclassicism. GC "Fundament" has extensive experience in working with different styles (from idea to implementation, renovation, furnishings and even decor), so we can safely recommend neoclassicism for decorating a family, light and elegant apartment.

Contrast of black and white in the interior of the hallway

In the photo: Interior design of a hallway with white doors

In the room of this hallway, we created a play of contrasts - on the black wall there are snow-white doors, sockets and switches, and the entrance and other doors merge with the light walls, creating an image of an airy, but at the same time interesting interior.

Glass doors with arched transom

In this luxurious hallway, the white door in the arched portal looks very elegant and in harmony with the shape of the window. Such doors are most often used for the area between the hallway and the vestibule in a country house or are entrance doors.

For example, one of our latest projects - renovating a 265 square meter neoclassical apartment in Khimki (pictured above) - helped one family start living like in a Hollywood TV series. Their apartment now looks like a respectable American cottage.

White and beige, ash, gray and other light interior doors are usually liked by those who love modern design styles. They are also used in classics and neoclassics, while dark door leaves are characteristic of country, Provence, chalet, as well as loft and Japanese styles. At the same time, it is not necessary to order an exclusive design. Correctly selected doors are already a victory.

In complex styles such as neoclassic, classic, baroque and others, interior doors are very important. It is they who will emphasize the luxury of decorating your house or apartment, and if you make the wrong choice, they will give out a beginner in the designer. Specialists from the Group of Companies "Fundament" (Moscow) create interiors that are calculated to the smallest detail, and the combinations of doors and wall decoration are always flawless.

White door in the interior of a gray bedroom

Thinking about the design of the bedroom, many of us first of all think about the bed, dressing room, roomy dressers, a beautiful boudoir area, completely forgetting about the interior doors. Of course, in general, such an approach is justified, but not at all for an interior designer.

Pictured: White doors in a modern bedroom

And for those who want a more laconic interior, our designers advise a modern style - simpler, but because of its practicality, it is perfect for a family with small children.

Dark brown wenge doors

Classic living room chocolate doors

You can choose sliding interior doors for your interior with the help of an interior designer. He will advise not only the format and style, but also a specific shade, adjust the dimensions and make the whole interior look like a single harmonious whole.

In the living room, sliding doors are also very popular, they usually lead to the corridor or the kitchen and have a width of 120 to 180 cm. Such doors can have from 2 to 4 modules, with the latter option, two side doors turn out to be static, that is, they do not move.

Dark brown interior doors can often be found in Art Nouveau and Mediterranean interiors, country, chalets and some others. As a rule, they are paired with wooden furniture of the same tone.

Wooden interior doors in natural colors are one of the most beautiful for home, cozy and family interiors. Look at our apartment renovation project in the photo above. You will find that the combination of dark cocoa wood and carrot shades in the interior of the hallway immediately positions this house as a particularly hospitable place.

Mirrors, black lacquer and wenge in the interior of the hallway in Art Deco style

The color of wenge became popular several years ago, but with the advent of better, innovative technologies for imitating this valuable wood species, they reached a new level. Now wenge is not just a standard replacement for brown wood, but a unique texture, interesting relief and a delicate dark brown shade with a lilac or purple sheen.

Sliding glass partitions save space and visually enlarge the room. But their functions are not limited to this. Such a fashionable design technique as combining the kitchen and living room, unfortunately, is not without its drawbacks. In the event that you are worried about kitchen smells, but there is no desire to build a solid wall between the kitchen and the living room, transparent sliding partitions will come to the rescue.

In modern interiors, it happens that there are no doors between rooms at all. Then pay attention to arches of different formats, decorative curtains and other unusual zoning options. At the Fundament Group of Companies we offer not only traditional solutions, but also the most original ones, for example, glass walls. An opaque, dense curtain of dark fabric will help to hide in the private room of the bathroom.

In this bathroom design project, we have chosen an oak door to contrast with the unusual designer bathroom tiles. Please note that other furniture in the room is made in the same shade as the door.

Interestingly, doors can also be invisible. If you use branded models, in the collection of which there are wall panels (to match the doors), you can create an unusual effect.

Dark doors in the interior

In addition to white and light doors, there are also dark doors, which undoubtedly deserve our attention. They can be black, with imitation of rosewood, wenge, zebrano and other types of wood.

Many of them will be made in new fashionable styles, others - in classic ones, but as a rule, such doors are most often used in modern interiors. The only exceptions are dark brown doors, which perfectly complement the atmosphere of country-style rooms, chalets, Art Nouveau (modern) and others.

Interior doors in the interior of the apartment photo and video door design ideas. Choosing interior sliding doors is not only the decor in the apartment. They still carry the main functional load - they divide the interior space of the apartment, premises, provide sound insulation, retain heat, and provide personal space.

And yet beauty and decoration in a room is not the last quality that affects the quality of life. At the present time, moreover, the appearance is one hundred defining, and the functionality is secondary, adjusting to the appearance. The color of interior doors in the interior is also of great importance.

The market, in response to the demand of the times, issued a huge range of doors. There is a desire and an opportunity, please, we change the doors, and the whole view of the room is radically transformed. Interior doors in the interior of the apartment photo. This is where the catch lies, this radical transformation. It is necessary to be very responsible and thoughtful about the selection of doors, and especially to the determination of their color. The color of interior doors in the interior plays a decisive role, because the appearance of the whole room depends on it.

What is the right thing to do - choose a door in the color of the floors, carpets on the floor, or the color of large furniture, wallpaper, or something else? But what if you have many different colors around the room, the floors in adjacent rooms differ in material? Light interior doors in the interior will be appropriate, as they are more versatile.

Or, if you pick up a door in one room, completely redo the second, the whole interior, in the same color scheme? And if you install two doors, of different types, for each room its own?

Such questions are often asked by those who undertook to carry out repairs on their own, to develop the design and interior themselves, without using the services of specialists. There are no such strict rules and the house, in everything that concerns color and appearance, the framework of standards is conditional, and one should not be afraid to violate them.

For taste and color, there are no comrades, and whoever says that this is impossible, it will not work, he probably did not try to do the repair himself. Have taste and imagination and you will succeed. This short article will highlight some points to facilitate the selection of doors.

Relationship between door color and interior

To begin with, it is correct to take the style and interior of the rooms where the doors will be installed as a reference point. Although, as often happens, different parts of an apartment or room of a house are made in different styles. And what to do in this situation?

I recommend that you first look at the design of large rooms, hall and hallway, or those that define the first impression, corridor or hallway. Installation of the same doors for all parts of the room is necessary in order to maintain the feeling of a single space and not break the whole perception.

The use of a neutral door color will give a way out for a difficult situation, it suits the most varied interior. Its natural color is always combined with classic, country and baroque styles. Keep in mind that a warm, reddish shade of color, with a wood texture, will give the rooms a cozy feel.

Great for rooms decorated in ethnic or country design. But the interior in the baroque and classic style is often better to combine with elite models of door panels, decorated either with very light, or, on the contrary, with very saturated dark colors. Yet light doors are universal, light interior doors visually expand any room.

You need to know that the stronger the depth of the dark color, the more severely the surrounding space is perceived.
Light cold color for doors, perfect for new interiors, decorated in a minimalist style. Also, this style goes well with both dark door colors and cold spectral solutions. White interior doors in the interior photo:

The almost complete lack of decoration is also appropriate here. A neutral light wood color is suitable for almost all styles, with the exception of modern high-tech interiors or similar ones.

When doors are installed in rooms with modern interiors, dark wood-like or painted colors are a great option. Glossy enamels of almost any color look appropriate: white, black, red, metal-like.

As always, white is versatile. It suits any design. In addition, interior doors painted in white will always give an expansion of space, a sense of volume, tranquility for all types of premises. White interior doors in the interior photo:

Buying doors in white, you can be sure that they will definitely be correctly and harmoniously combined with all elements of the room, furniture, floor, walls. An important advantage, given their harmony, is that the white color does not distract attention at all, does not stand out with a bright design element, does not contain a contradiction, but it cannot be a strong decision either.

It should be noted here that a country-style room with doors in light colors, but with a pronounced aging effect, can look very impressive, brilliantly emphasizing your idea and style. Light interior doors in the interior are a win-win solution.

Relationship of door color to floor

Most designers, when designing an interior, use a simple and effective rule - the color of the doors is chosen in color, next to the color of the flooring. However, this is not always possible. It is good if the whole room is covered with one type of coating, in one color, but this is not always the case.

What to do if adjoining rooms with different flooring materials. In such situations, be creative, look for common ground in the flooring, perhaps it will be a color, similar tones, a similar texture or imitation of material, a large pattern. Well, choose the doors already under the found sign.

For example, in the corridor, as well as in the lobby, there is a floor covering imitating a wood pattern, then the door must be chosen in the same colors, but certainly a little lighter, by one or two tones. So the color of interior doors in the interior will be more appropriate.

It is possible that for certain interiors or in other spaces, this option will not be appropriate at all. The door can be coordinated with the interior by adding additional elements - furniture, decorative elements and in other ways, to the best of your imagination.

The end result should be a harmonious coordination of the interior door on both sides of it, a sense of the continuity of the space.

Relationship of door color to furniture.

It often happens that the color of interior doors, it is better to choose not in the color of the floor or walls, especially in cases when they are of a wide variety of types in the room, but in the color of the prevailing furniture. Especially when the furniture is all in the same color and style throughout the apartment.

Here is the recommendation: for furniture in dark colors, such as "wenge", choose doors in the same colors, only, as usual, a little lighter. Glass inserts in dark door panels look good, as the "gloom" of the room is reduced.
In cases where the furniture in the rooms is different, somewhere lighter, somewhere darker, or even colored in the children's room, then it is good to use doors with pasting, in which each side looks different.

Each side, its own design, and personally and individually for each room. This is not a standard option and, accordingly, the cost of such a solution will be significantly higher due to the non-standardness. But the result will be worth the money spent. The resulting finished and harmonious look of the space compensates for the regret for the money spent.

Sliding interior doors in the interior

You can use sliding interior doors in the interior, then in fact they will almost double the space of the room, this option is more expensive, but believe me, it's worth it.

Linking the color of doors to walls

The option to associate the color of the walls and the color of the doors in the design is also quite real. There are times when, despite all the efforts and efforts to see, there is absolutely nothing in common in different rooms, not in the color of the floor, nor in the style of the interior, nor even in the furniture, but the color of the walls is similar in tone in the rooms of the apartment.

Then, of course, the doors should be chosen in the same range as the prevailing color on the walls. For example, if the walls are painted everywhere, throughout the room in beige colors, before you need to look for cream shades for the door, this combination will look great.

During repairs or during the construction of a private house, when the question arises of purchasing interior doors, many are guided by the price. While trying to find yourself relatively cheap doors, do not forget that not only the price should be the determining factor.

In order not to be mistaken and to make the right purchase, you should know some of the features of interior doors, first of all, their differences in appearance.

Types of interior doors

The difference between one interior door and another is determined by many characteristics: material of manufacture, weight, strength, ability to isolate noise. A natural question arises, which interior doors to choose?

They can be shielded, tsarovy, paneled, molded and made of glass.

Panel doors

The basis of this type is a frame, which is sheathed with MDF sheets on both sides. The resulting voids are filled with cardboard, and the resulting structure resembles a honeycomb. Outside, the sheets are covered with foil, veneer or laminate. Shield doors are either blind or have plastic (glass) inserts.

Advantages:

  • low cost;
  • beautiful appearance;
  • light weight (if the filler is cardboard);
  • high functionality.

Disadvantages: Requires the use of polishing agents.

Tsargovy doors

Such doors are made of two vertical bars, across which parallel identical boards are attached (they are called tsars). These boards themselves are combined with glass and other materials, giving the product a special style.

Advantages:

  • beautiful appearance;
  • high resistance to wear;
  • the possibility of long-term operation.

Flaws:

  • heavy weight;
  • installation complexity (due to weight).

Paneled doors

The basis of these doors is also made up of a frame made of a board, fastened with crossbars and longitudinal bars, and panels are placed in between them - small coniferous boards, MDF, glass inserts are possible.

The design decision of this or that door depends on which panels are used. It is almost impossible to determine from the photo of interior doors of this type whether there is a wood insert in the structure. It seems that before the eyes a canvas made of a solid mass, subjected to deep milling, hence the impressive appearance of such doors.

Advantages:

  • wear resistance;
  • resistance to curvature;
  • stylish appearance.

Flaws:

  • heavy weight;
  • high price.

Molded doors

A distinctive feature of these doors is that the door leaf is made from one material (for example, solid wood). But they can also be complemented by various inserts in its entire height.

Advantages:

  • unusual appearance;
  • undemanding care;
  • strength;
  • the possibility of graphic design of the surface.

Flaws:

  • complexity of installation;
  • great weight.

Glass doors

They are made of duplex glass or using triplex technology. Duplex is glass covered with a protective film, triplex is two glasses glued with a protective film. Glass doors are made in transparent, matt, plain or patterned colors.

Advantages:

  • variety of models and colors;
  • strength (with double glass technology);
  • the ability to transmit light.

Disadvantages: Potential damage on impact.

Interior door opening options

The network has a huge number of catalogs of interior doors, where various models are presented. One of the distinctive features of doors is the opening method. They can swing open or move apart, they can be folded like a book or swing like a pendulum. Each type is determined by its own mounting system, soundproofing ability, etc.

Swing doors

The simplest version of the door, when the curtain is hung with hinges located on one side, and the lock with a handle are on the other. As a rule, the door frame is provided with a threshold for greater sound insulation.

Advantages:

  • structural reliability;
  • ease of installation;
  • good noise isolation ability.

Disadvantages: Necessity of opening space.

Sliding doors

The peculiarity of these doors is that they move along the wall on special rollers along a fixed guide. These are compartment doors, which got their name from a certain class of carriages in trains. Doors are used to create a modern stylish interior.

Advantages:

  • the ability to save space;
  • functionality;
  • safety in opening.

Disadvantages: inability to completely soundproof.

Folding doors

Another name for such doors is an accordion. Several canvases of the same size are hinged or hinged to each other and to the door frame. When opened, this type of door folds (shrinks like accordion furs).

Advantages:

  • original appearance;
  • the ability to save space.

Flaws:

  • fragility of the structure;
  • poor sound insulation.

Swinging doors

These interior doors are also called pendulum doors. Their feature is the ability to open both inside the room and outside. They can often be found in hospitals, airports, train stations. Such doors are still a novelty for apartments.

Advantages:

  • a light weight;
  • originality.

Flaws:

  • low sound insulation;
  • the need for a large opening space.

The nuances of installing an interior door

Today, a high-quality door leaf can often be purchased together with a frame, which will simplify the process of installing an interior door. In addition, both in the stores themselves and in the service market, it is possible to order installation by specialists.

But what to do if you decide to install yourself? Let's try to analyze this question using the example of a simple swing door without a box.

The first thing to do is to remove the purchased product from the packaging and make sure it is intact. Then take measurements along the length, width and thickness of the canvas itself, determine the type of loops.

The dimensions of the doors differ, the size of the selected box also depends on them. In this case, it is necessary to remember about the gaps and not make a mistake, so that you do not have to subsequently expand the opening in the wall.

In the next step, we attach the hinges to the door, while each of them should look inside the room, and the distance from the top and bottom of the canvas should be at least 20-25 cm. The hinge must protrude 2 mm beyond the edge of the door. After all the settings, we outline both loops with a pencil and carefully select the outlined part of the canvas with the help of a chisel. We place hinges in the prepared grooves, drill small holes with a drill and screw them onto self-tapping screws.

For the first method, you need a circular saw with an exposed angle. In its absence, it is best to turn to the second method. Box details: two racks and a lintel (a horizontal bar in the upper part) are cut at right angles using a hacksaw, and the lintel can be placed on top of the racks or between them. Attaching the door to the box and stepping back 2.5 mm, we make a mark for the threshold, not forgetting about the gaps on the sides.

At the same stage, we mark the places for the hinges and the lock, in order to then select them with a chisel. We twist the box with self-tapping screws, pre-drilling the holes with a drill, fasten the pad for the lock and the hinge (it is assumed that the hinges used are composite, with two parts - for the canvas and for the box).

Now we mount the box, leveling its vertical position. We put spacers for fixing. We hang the door to make sure that it opens without problems. If necessary, equalize the position of the box with spacers.

The final fixation is carried out using self-tapping screws through the box or with the help of special suspensions (plates) screwed from its end. At the final step, the space between the box and the opening in the wall is filled with polyurethane foam. It is recommended to pre-wet it with water for better adhesion of the foam. After the foam has dried, the door can be hung.

A huge selection of interior doors on the market for building and finishing materials can confuse a potential buyer. But if you have some idea about the types, functional features and methods of installing doors, then the answer to the question of how to choose interior doors will not seem such an insurmountable difficulty.

Interior doors are definitely an extremely important design element of any apartment. After all, it is the doors that connect the two spaces that should be in harmony with both rooms, regardless of whether they are made in the same general style or are inspired by completely different ideas.

Interior doors - type of construction

Swing

Familiar, simple and most common. Suitable for any interior. They are single-leaf and double-leaf, with or without thresholds. This way of opening "eats up" the space;

Sliding (coupe)

Suitable for practical people. The door leaf moves along guides that can be installed on the floor and / or on the ceiling. For such doors, the evenness of the walls is not required. Perfectly save space, do not interfere, stable, quiet, safe for children. As a minus, it can be noted that the sealing is not very good, which allows noise, smell and light to penetrate into the room;

Foldable

During opening, the structure slides with a roller along the guides and folds, and when closed, it unfolds. This type is well suited for narrow aisles. Folding doors are not ideal for noise and cold protection and require frequent repairs to the opening mechanism. But they can be a godsend for interesting interior design and room zoning;

Accordion door

This type of door has slightly more leaves, due to which, when sliding, it forms a kind of accordion. These doors are made from a wide variety of materials, from wood to metal. They are very functional and useful, because with the help of the "Accordion" you can divide the room into 2 zones. Thus, you can divide the hall from the dining area, or connect the study with the living room or bedroom, because such a division will look like an ordinary partition or screen and will help to play with the space. These doors are mostly popular with styles such as hi-tech and minimalism. The size and quantity may vary greatly. Doors "Accordion" are much cheaper than glass and wooden interior doors.

Door material

The material from which they are made also has a great influence on how the interior doors will look in the interior, so we decided to pay special attention to this point.

The price here, of course, also plays an important role, however, with a modern huge assortment, a person, even with the most limited budget, can choose a worthy option for his home. We present to your attention a detailed description of the most popular materials for interior doors.

Wooden door

Natural wood is still the most popular material for the production of doors. Interior doors are made both from cheap species - birch, cherry and pine, and from more expensive and durable - ash, oak and beech.

Natural doors are capable of completely transforming your interior, so it's worth considering: maybe it's better to buy a door made of pine than expensive veneer?

Pros of a wooden door :

  • environmental friendliness;
  • the ability to create various shapes.

Disadvantages of a wooden door:

  • high cost;
  • capriciousness of wood (due to naturalness).

Veneered door

In the production of this type of door, the outer surface (the one that is visible to the eye) is made of more expensive species than the inner one. Veneered interior doors are excellent in operation, quite reliable and, moreover, have a natural appearance.

Disadvantages of a veneer door

  • partial naturalness.

Advantages of a veneered door:

  • small price compared to wooden doors.

Laminated door

Laminated doors are considered inferior in class than veneered doors. On the outside, they are finished with laminate and printed film (imitating wood, or any other), inside they consist of a pine frame and paper honeycomb filler.

Advantages of laminate doors:

  • low cost;

Cons of laminated doors:

  • damaged coating cannot be repaired.

Glass door

Glass doors have a very impressive appearance. Their smooth textures reflect nearby surfaces and their designs are admirable.

Glass interior doors look good in hi-tech, minimalism and other modern urban trends.

Cons of glass doors:

  • fragility
  • poor sound insulation

Advantages of glass doors:

  • look impressive;

We select the color

To create something organic, it is enough to use doors in universal shades (light and dark tones), as well as white doors.

Interior doors in bright colors are suitable for installation in apartments with an original, individual style.

Among the light shades, the leading place is occupied by warm woody neutral tones. They will fit well into the interior of any style, do not focus on themselves, hiding the imperfections of the room.

White doors perfectly refresh the space; lately, the color of bleached oak has been especially popular.

Combined with a chateau oak or wenge laminate flooring, the following combination creates a classic style in the interior of the apartment.

Modern interior doors in light shades with glass inserts make the interior weightless, spreading light from the rooms into the corridor and hallway. Stained glass in the doors creates a special mood, but colored glass inserts are combined with a calm interior.

Dark door shades are also considered universal, but, compared to light ones, their choice should be more thoughtful. The dark color of the doors should overlap with something in the same tone in the interior - window frames, skirting boards, pieces of furniture, the color of the floor. Most of all, dark shades suit the classic style. However, it is not recommended to install dark colored doors in a small apartment.

Bright doors fit perfectly with the Scandinavian style - it is characterized by a white background of the main interior decoration with bright elements and details.

The devil is in the details

As with any design, details are important when decorating doors.

As you know, a door is not only a door leaf, but everything connected with it:

  • fittings (locks, latches, handles);
  • skirting boards;
  • platbands;
  • box.

In order for the interior door to look impeccable in the interior, all these details must be related in style not only to each other, but also to the design of the room. Find connection and support every detail at least once.

And the last tip that will help bring your interior to perfection: be sure to put the platband and the box on openings without doors. An interior with a perfectly flat white opening certainly looks beautiful and gives the feeling of an open space. But, this is only at first, right after the repair. Over time, the joints of materials at the ends are rubbed, get dirty, peel off and you have to hide it with the help of inconspicuous plastic corners.

The best way to avoid this situation is to order an opening sheathing: at a price it is only 20% of the cost of the door leaf. This is not such a big cost, which, however, can protect you from annoying imperfections that spoil your mood.

When it comes time to choose interior doors, buyers look at real photos of the design in the interior of the apartments. This is correct - this is how you can compare the situation, take a closer look at the sample you like, notice all the features and disadvantages. In a large assortment, it is easy to get lost and forget which model you originally wanted.

Diversity

They have two functions at once - decorative and functional. They should reflect the general style of the home and protect against unwanted sounds when closed. On sale you can find several structurally different varieties - denser or lighter, from different materials.

Paneled view

This is a wooden base and several guides, up and down. The rest of the space is occupied by panels - special elements made of MDF, glass or something else. Sometimes designers offer very unusual compositions of this type.

Shield

A simple structure made of MDF sheets, under which the MDF filler or cardboard is hidden, pre-compressed and compact. This part of the furnishings can be either dull or carved. Additionally, they are covered with veneer or varnished, filled with PFC or laminated.

Carvings are considered more decorative. The empty cavity is covered with a panel. Cut out figures - of any kind and shape, according to the wishes of the customer.

Tsargovye

In production, you can find different doors to the room, they must match the interior of the apartment, harmonize in the photo and in life. One of these types is the king. It is a base that is created by a pair of vertical beams. All the space inside is filled with transverse blocks of the same type and pattern.

Outwardly, one will be very different from the other, so it is easy to find the ideal option for yourself. Sometimes models include glass, metal or plastic inserts. They completely change the visual image of the kitchen, bedroom or living room.

Monolithic

They are also called molded. They are very different from other types in appearance - they resemble a single web of material. This could be:

The key condition is that everything is the same from top to bottom. It can be visually divided into any number of parts - they must be repeated.

Base - glass

If there is not enough sunlight in the room, this problem can be solved by using glass doors. They are not necessarily transparent, there are many varieties of matte, translucent and painted models. There are plain and multi-colored. They look unusual and stylish, they are often purchased for offices and other public buildings.

What is better to order from

It is worth choosing in accordance with several criteria:

    in which room it will stand - wet or dry;

    how much the walls can be loaded;

    whether there are small children - the presence of babies makes it impossible to install completely glass canvases;

    how important is sound insulation and heat retention.

Who will live in the room is another important point. If there will be a children's room, then it is better to choose washable building materials. If the bathroom is, it is important to find a moisture-repellent or plastic model. It is worth paying attention to the interior as well.

Tree

Solid oak or pine will be heavy and difficult to open and close. It costs much more than the standard options, but it looks better in country houses and large apartments.

Smells good and suits any setting. Warm, pleasant texture, eco-friendly, looks expensive.

There are also disadvantages

It is difficult to find an alternative in terms of environmental friendliness and appearance, but they also have disadvantages:

    the material is susceptible to deformation due to moisture or improper care;

    pests can start;

    a special varnish is required for impregnation;

    sensitive to temperature changes;

    may dry out.

Putting such a model in front of a bath or sauna is not a good idea. Beautiful classic interior doors in the interior look organic even in the photo.

Artificial

Polymers can be considered more durable due to their strength and resistance to deformation. It is easy to pick up any shade, and you can get lost in the variety of forms and decorative elements. They are cheaper than natural solid wood and easier to maintain.

There are two groups of artificial materials:

    those that are used as a frame - chipboard, MDF;

    with which they cover - veneer.

Chipboard

They are made from shavings and sawdust, pressed using synthetic resin. They cannot be used to create a work of art - they are relatively fragile.

MDF

They create from industrial waste - grind it, mix it, soar. The result is a dense, beautiful material from pressed panels.

Unique veneer

Each sheet of this material has a unique pattern. This is a thin layer of wood, sometimes quite rare and expensive species.

Opening options

How the interior doors will look in the interior of the apartment in a modern style or classic can be seen in the photo. The canvas can be opened in any way suitable for the owner. This is selected in advance, it is taken into account whether there is free space. You can buy:

    swinging open;

    swinging;

    sliding;

    folding.

When making a choice, it should be borne in mind that they transmit sound in different ways and isolate the space.

Swinging open

A similar variety can be seen in almost every home. These are classic canvases with a loop on one side or two. To enhance sound insulation, a threshold is mounted. When closed, it is held by a latch or lock. To achieve greater tightness, a sealant is added.

Single leaf

A classic design for any room with a small aisle width. Hinges on one side and latch with handle on the other side. It can be made from almost any material.

Bivalve

It is used more often to enter the hall or if there is a lot of free space in the wall. Either two identical sashes, or different. In the latter case, the left half is fixed, and the right half opens freely. Lack of fixation is also allowed.

Sliding

Stylish classic interior doors in the interior of a private house in the photo have a sliding structure. They either walk on runners or hide in a niche.

Swinging

Now they look ordinary and stylish, but before they were an integral part of cafes and bars.

Foldable

Such designs are often used as decorative zoning of a room. This is a canvas that was divided into several equal parts. There are hinges and hinges between all the parts. When you need to fold it, they just press it against the jamb.

This model can only be ordered from light materials. Heavy ones will simply disable the hinges ahead of time.

Roto doors

An unusual and relatively new shape. In this design, the web is fixed so as to move along the axis of rotation. It saves space in the room, looks interesting. To go to the next room, you just need to push.

Just like the previous version, it is performed exclusively from light materials. Otherwise, it will quickly fail. Rather, it performs a decorative function.

Invisible

Hidden doors have long been popular, but they can only be made to order. If you wish, you can really hide not only the contour of the jamb, but also the fittings. Fits perfectly into minimalism, creates a secret place.

Interior doors in the interior of the apartment - look at the photo, select the colors

How to determine what will look best within a particular house - compare and match. We recommend using the services of a designer if renovation is being carried out. The canvases should overlap in style and shade, have the same fittings, regardless of the number of rooms. This is not a mandatory rule, but if you adhere to it, then the products will harmoniously fit into the situation.

It's the same everywhere

It is especially important if each copy goes into one corridor. If the adjacent doors are radically different, this will bring dissonance to the situation. It is better to choose similar models in restrained colors than different and flashy colors.

Light

Pastels, beige, whites and creams always win in classic and rustic home decor. If the rooms are small, they will help to visually increase the space. Look great if they repeat the color of the walls.

Dark

Owners make this choice if the floor or furniture is similarly decorated. When everything is pastel, it looks out of place. It is important to create harmony, for this you need to repaint the walls, hang pictures or lighting fixtures in the desired tone.

Neutral

Natural oak or pine, like other shades, look great in almost any kind of room. Light wood or closer to red - the effect is always a winning one. Suitable for country, eco-style, historical type.

White

They convey lightness and airiness. It is desirable to combine with similarly decorated walls. Looks harmoniously in Provence, French and Scandinavian styles. It is better to make the window sills and window frames similar.

Glass and silver

For modernly designed high-tech interiors, metal or glass surfaces are chosen. Doors go well with decor, both glass or cast metal, and combined. Airy and free from glass or complex metal structures - the owner of the apartment should choose.

Match the color of the floor

One popular way to complete a harmonious home is to match the door leaves to the color of the flooring. This is if the floor is parquet or linoleum in a natural wood shade. If there is a flashy carpet, then it is better to mount products in neutral colors.

Matching furniture

Another way, but less practical. You can choose a door to match the old wardrobe, but only on condition that it will stand in the room for another 10 years. It is recommended to install red or blue plastic only if there will be no other accents, except for a pair of ottomans of a similar shade.

The color of the walls

It is especially convenient to combine and harmonize with wallpaper or paint. You don't have to do everything perfectly the same way. Against a white background, a cream door will look as good as a light sand door.

Correct selection for a specific interior

Now manufacturers are striving to produce boxes in all possible materials, colors, shapes. This makes it easier to match the style of the room. But if for some reason it is difficult to do this, it is enough to choose a design that will overlap with the decorative elements standing there.

Classic

It is usually chosen by traditionalists and conservatives. It has not gone out of fashion for decades, it always looks stylish and modern. The lines should be strict, the maximum of natural wood, gilding, regular geometric shapes. The canvas needs to be processed minimally, and its color cannot be changed.

Baroque

Luxury, excesses, pomp, great weight and volume. A lot of artistic processing, ornate and curved lines. Expensive gilded hardware, two doors, a wide opening. Ideally, it looks like a carved arch of impressive size. Stained-glass windows, precious wood species.

Modern

Refined, unpredictable, unlike anything else. Multicolor, glass inserts, fancy figurines. Patterned perforation and low sound insulation. Marine, animal or plant themes are everywhere - on wallpaper, furniture, canvas. Correspondingly painted and cut platbands.

Eco style

First of all, it is the right material for the manufacture of the door. Usually it is plywood, glass, vine, wood. The task is to show how natural elements are involved in creating the interior of the room. Slightly rough shapes, naturalness, transparency, practicality.

When choosing, you need to be based on the allowable dimensions, weight and type of construction. You should take into account the style of decoration of the premises, do not allow cardinal differences in all products installed on the territory of the apartment.
