Bank updating customer information

Dear Customer!

Joint Stock Company OTP Bank (OGRN 1027739176563, TIN 7708001614, location address: 125171, Moscow, Leningradskoe shosse, 16a, bldg. 2.) (hereinafter referred to as the Bank) reminds you of the need to update your identification information.

In accordance with the requirements of subparagraph 3 of paragraph 1 of Article 7 of the Federal Law of 07.08.2001 No. 115-FZ "On Counteracting the Legalization (Laundering) of Criminally Obtained Incomes and Financing of Terrorism", the Bank is obliged to update information on Clients not less than 1 (One) times a year.

When applying with you, you must have the following documents:

  1. passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation;
    • when changing the last name, first name, patronymic of the Client (you must have a certificate of change of name, new passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation);
    • when changing the date and place of birth of the Client (you must have a court decision on changing the place of birth, passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation);
    • when changing the registration address at the place of residence (you must have a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation with a stamp of the new place of registration);
    • when changing the details of the passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation (with you you must have a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation with a mark in the new passport about the details of the old passport);
    • when changing the details of the TIN certificate (you must have a TIN certificate, passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation with you);
    • when obtaining a new visa and / or migration card (for foreign citizens), you must have a visa and / or migration card, passport of a foreign citizen.

We ask you to update your identification information annually at least 1 (One) time per year.

Questions and answers

Why do you need to provide the Bank with up-to-date information?

In accordance with Federal Law No. 115-FZ of 07.08.2011 “On Counteracting the Legalization (Laundering) of Criminally Obtained Incomes and Financing of Terrorism”, the Bank is obliged to update information about its clients at least once a year. At the same time, all Clients are obliged to provide the Bank with up-to-date information or to confirm the relevance of previously submitted information. To provide updated information or to confirm their invariability, you can contact the Bank's office. The Bank must keep up-to-date information about each client in order to fulfill the client's order to perform operations.

When is it necessary to update information or confirm its invariability?

  • Updating of identification information must be carried out no later than 1 year after the conclusion of an agreement with the Bank (providing the Bank with up-to-date information or confirming their invariability);
  • You have received a notification from the Bank about the need to update the information or confirm their invariability. The notification can be posted in OTP Direct or sent by e-mail, SMS, postal mail, and additionally posted on the Bank's official website on the Internet;
  • You have received a new passport;
  • You have changed your last name, first name, patronymic;
  • You have changed your date and place of birth;
  • You have changed the address of residence (registration) or place of residence;
  • You have received a new visa and / or migration card (for foreign citizens);
  • You have received a new Taxpayer Identification Number
  • Your contact information has changed, for example, telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, postal address (if any);
  • You have received / lost the status of Public Official 1
  • You have / changed a representative / beneficiary / beneficial owner 2

Beneficiary - a person who is not directly a participant in the operation, for the benefit of which the client acts, including on the basis of an agency agreement, contracts of commission, commission and trust management, when conducting transactions with funds and other property

Beneficial owner - an individual who ultimately directly or indirectly (through third parties) owns (has a predominant share of more than 25 percent in the capital) of the client - a legal entity or has the ability to control the client's actions. The beneficial owner of a client - an individual is considered to be this person, unless there is reason to believe that another individual is the beneficial owner

How do I update information?

Apply personally to any office of the Bank with a set of supporting documents:

  1. passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation;
  2. when changing the following information, you must provide documents confirming the change:
    • when changing the last name, first name, patronymic, you must have a certificate of change of name, a new passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation;
    • when changing the date and place of birth, you must have a court decision on changing the place of birth, a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation;
    • when changing the registration address at the place of residence, you must have a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation with a stamp of the new place of registration;
    • when changing the details of the passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, you must have a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation with a mark in the new passport about the details of the old passport;
    • when changing the details of the TIN certificate, you must have a TIN certificate, passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation

What happens if you do not update the information and do not confirm their invariability?

If you do not provide up-to-date information on time, in accordance with article 7, clause 11 of the Federal Law No. 115-FZ dated 07.08.2001, the Bank reserves the right to refuse to execute orders to carry out debit transactions on your accounts.

Legal bases

Article 7 of the Federal Law of 07.08.2001 N 115-FZ "On Counteracting the Legalization (Laundering) of Criminally Obtained Incomes and the Financing of Terrorism"

  • p.14. - Clients are obliged to provide organizations carrying out transactions with monetary funds or other property information necessary for the said organizations to comply with the requirements of Federal Law No. 115-FZ dated 07.08.2001, including information on their beneficiaries and beneficial owners.
  • clauses 3, clauses 1 - 1. Organizations carrying out transactions with monetary funds or other property are obliged to update information about customers, customer representatives, beneficiaries and beneficial owners at least once a year, and in case of doubts about the reliability and accuracy earlier information received - within seven working days following the day such doubts arise;
  • clause 11. Organizations carrying out transactions with monetary funds or other property have the right to refuse to execute the client's order to perform the operation, with the exception of operations for crediting funds received to the account of an individual or legal entity, a foreign structure without the formation of a legal entity, for which no submitted documents required to record information in accordance with the provisions of Federal Law No. 115-FZ dated 07.08.2001.

Chapter 2. Procedure for identifying clients, client representatives, beneficiaries, beneficial owners and updating information about them

2.1. When identifying a client, client's representative, beneficiary, beneficial owner, the credit institution independently or with the involvement of third parties collects information and documents provided for applications 1 and to these Regulations, documents that are the basis for banking operations and other transactions.

Taking into account the requirements of these Regulations, a credit institution has the right to collect other information (documents) independently determined by it in the internal control rules for AML / CFT purposes.

If a credit institution is involved in the collection of information and documents specified in first paragraph and second of this clause, third parties, the identification of the client, the client's representative, the beneficiary, the beneficial owner is carried out directly by the credit institution or by a person who, in the cases established Federal law dated August 7, 2001 N 115-FZ, it was instructed to carry out identification (simplified identification).

2.2. When identifying (simplified identification) a client, a client's representative, beneficiary, beneficial owner, as well as when updating information obtained as a result of identification (simplified identification), a credit institution uses information from open information systems of state authorities of the Russian Federation, the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation, Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund, located in the information and telecommunication network "Internet" (hereinafter referred to as the "Internet" network) or the Unified system of interdepartmental electronic interaction, including:

information about lost, invalid passports, about the passports of deceased individuals, about lost passport blanks;

information on the availability of information regarding the client, client's representative, beneficiary and beneficial owner of their involvement in extremist activities or terrorism.

To establish the information provided paragraph three of this paragraph, the credit institution uses the relevant information services posted on the official website of the Main Directorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation on the Internet or in the Unified System of Interdepartmental Electronic Interaction.

The credit institution also has the right to use other sources of information legally available to the credit institution.

2.3. Updating of information obtained as a result of identification of a client, client's representative, beneficiary, beneficial owner is carried out by the credit institution in accordance with the procedure established in the internal control rules for AML / CFT purposes, by obtaining documents and information directly from the client (client's representative) and ( or) by referring to the sources of information specified in paragraph 2.2 of this Regulation.

2.4. A credit institution has the right not to re-identify a client, a client's representative, a beneficiary, a beneficial owner, or a simplified re-identification of a client - an individual, if the following conditions are met in combination:

identification of the client, client's representative, beneficiary, beneficial owner, simplified identification of the client - an individual was previously carried out and the client is being serviced;

the credit institution has no doubts about the reliability and accuracy of previously received information;

information about this client, client's representative, beneficiary, beneficial owner is provided with prompt access on a permanent basis in accordance with the procedure established by the credit institution in the internal control rules for AML / CFT purposes.

2.5. When establishing correspondent relations with a non-resident bank, with the exception of a bank that is a state (national) bank of a foreign state, the credit institution collects information provided for paragraph 1 and subparagraphs 2.5 , 2.6 , 2.8 and 2.10 clause 2 Appendix 2 to this Regulation, as well as information on the AML / CFT measures taken by such a non-resident bank.

Loan balance via internet bank

Personal account "OTPDirect" is a functional and round-the-clock service that allows you to get acquainted with the status of an account or credit, as well as pay for utility bills, etc. At https://direkt.otpbank.ru you need to enter your username and password, which are issued upon signing the loan agreement. The service is provided free of charge.

Find out the balance of debt through the "OTPDirect" application

The bank's client can download the OTPDirect mobile application to his tablet or phone for free. The program is a service similar to Internet banking. You must use the same username and password as for Internet Banking.

We use SMS banking

If there is no Internet connection, then you can use the SMS bank. The service allows you to get all the necessary information. The borrower should simply send an SMS message to the short number 5927. The message should contain the text: CREDIT.

If there is a need to obtain full access to the SMS banking service, then it is necessary to send the text "HELP" to the short number.

Debt check in the application "OTPcredit"

The borrower will have access to the following options:

  1. Familiarization with the exact amount of the loan and the number of days remaining until the date of the next payment.
  2. You can find out the details of the borrower's account and other information necessary to pay off the debt.
  3. View a detailed map showing terminals and points where you can pay.
  4. Track payments under a loan agreement using a detailed schedule.
  5. Configuring notifications about the need for the next payment.
  6. You can view information about the due date and the amount of commissions.
  7. Debt repayment from a mobile device account.

At the OTP bank branch

The borrower can obtain information on the status of the debt at the nearest branch of the bank. The client must have a passport with him. To find out the location of OTP bank branches, you need:

  • go to the official website of the credit institution https://www.otpbank.ru;
  • select your city at the top;
  • click on "Branches and ATMs".
