Characteristics and principle of operation

The outer case of the device is made of high-quality material, and the inner part is made of stainless steel in combination with titanium, as a result of which high resistance to rust and durability of the device is achieved.

The remaining space between the body and the inner tank is covered with a special hermetic material (polyurethane foam), this is a very environmentally friendly and modern way of thermal insulation.

The temperature sensor is located on the outer side of the case. Water heating is carried out thanks to the heating elements located inside the tank, the temperature of which is regulated by a thermostat. The thermostat will maintain the set temperature.

For safety, water heaters are equipped with a function to automatically turn off the device when the maximum allowable temperature is reached - 95 degrees.

How the Termex boiler works

To better understand how any device works, you need to understand its mechanism, then it will be easier for you to configure it, and in case of any breakdown, you can try to fix it yourself.

Let's look at the main components of the Thermex water heater according to the diagram below, which you can find by looking at the instruction manual:

  1. A pipe that supplies hot water to consumers, meaning a faucet in a bathroom, sink, etc. Water intake is carried out almost under the upper vault of the boiler, since cold water, entering the boiler, heats up from below and rises;
  2. Actually the tank itself, it is made of special corrosion-resistant steel;
  3. A device responsible for protecting internal metal surfaces from rust, called a magnesium anode;
  4. A support platform bolted to the boiler body, on which devices such as a heating element responsible for heating water, a regulating thermostat and a magnesium anode are installed;
  5. The outer shell of the boiler, made of steel, covered with a special powder paint;
  6. The surface covered with glass porcelain prevents the accumulation of various impurities in untreated water;
  7. Insulation is a fairly effective material that is responsible for ensuring that the heat from the water does not quickly go outside;
  8. A tube through which cold water enters the boiler;
  9. The thermostat is a control device that controls the temperature of the heated water.

Kinds

Thermex water heaters with a volume of 50 liters are presented in a wide range.

  • Flowing- These are small-sized boilers that are installed in places where there is not enough space for mounting large water heaters. They have such an indisputable advantage as the rapid heating of water. The disadvantage of instantaneous water heaters is the impossibility of its use in rooms with several points of water intake. They are used for small consumption of hot water, for example, for washing dishes.
  • Cumulative heaters are protected from corrosion and scale, which increases the life of the device. This is ensured by a special material - glass porcelain, from which the internal surfaces of water heating devices are made. To maintain the hot water temperature, polyurethane foam is used, which prevents the water from cooling by more than two degrees per hour.

The device has magnetic anodes to protect against the aggressive effects of scale, which allows you to increase the life of the equipment.

flowing

Cumulative

It is recommended to change storage heaters every 6 or 12 months. The main difference between storage equipment and flow equipment is that a heating element is located in the inside of the tank, which is necessary to heat the incoming liquid to the required temperature. During the entire period of use, the water will be the same temperature.

The advantage of storage types of heating devices is the ability to use equipment for several water intake points in one room.

To select the optimal boiler with a volume of 50 liters, it is necessary to study the characteristics of the product lines.

  • flat plus has a flat white shape, equipped with an ergonomic electronic unit, which provides for a display with the value of the heating temperature.

It has the following characteristics:

  • power - 2 kW;
  • inner tank - stainless steel;
  • case - plastic;
  • automatic cleaning and draining of water;
  • water heating time - 80 minutes.

  • Champion ER Available in white color, the body is made of metal and equipped with mounts for vertical surface mounting. The advantages include small dimensions, simple and quick installation due to the bottom piping. The internal surfaces of the model are protected by a glass-porcelain film, which prevents moisture and aggressive media from getting inside the equipment. The polyurethane foam insert provides a stable temperature for a long time. Due to the high power, the flow rate of the liquid is increased up to 2 liters per minute. The presence of a check valve allows you to protect the tubular heating element.

  • Diamond Touch is a horizontal heating equipment, which is made in a minimalist style with geometric shapes. There are two tanks inside the water heater, providing a flat design of storage equipment. The seams of the tanks are welded, which makes it possible to protect the tanks from depressurization. The electrical system is equipped with the ability to self-diagnose, as well as adjust the mode of fluid supply and heating level. In the event of failures, all information about the failure is displayed on the screen.
  • Practice has a small size, which allows it to be installed in small apartments. It has a round shape made of stainless steel. Thanks to welding of seams tightness of seams and resistance to corrosion influence is provided. The internal surfaces of the water heater are covered with a heat-insulating layer, due to which the water heating and the efficiency of the equipment are stabilized. Principle of operation, installation

The principle of operation of the Thermex water heater is quite simple. Imagine an ordinary thermos, the main property of which is the ability to maintain a high temperature of water for a long time. This is achieved due to the special walls of the vessel, which are characterized by low thermal conductivity.

So the boiler is the same thermos only with a special heating element called a heating element. Water getting into the container is heated by a heating element and for some time due to the insulated walls keeps the required temperature.

As soon as it drops below the required level, for example, due to the analysis of hot water and cold water entering the boiler, the thermostat comes into play, a special device that monitors the temperature drop, and as a result, turns on the heating element.

Using a thermostat, you can set the water temperature, the lower it is set, the less often the heating element will turn on and, as a result, less electricity will be spent. That's basically the whole principle of operation of the device.

Now a few words about the installation of this device. The boiler is usually installed in the bathroom, since there is often more space there and the main consumers of hot water, such as a bathtub, washbasin, etc., are nearby.

The correctness of this neighborhood is explained by the fact that the shorter the distance from the water heater to the mixer, the less water gives off heat through the walls of the pipeline and as a result - again - there is a saving in electricity that will be spent on heating the water.

The instructions require the boiler to be fixed to the load-bearing wall by using steel anchors.

Such requirements are due to the fact that the boiler filled with water is heavy and can fall if the fasteners are of insufficient quality.

Examples of Termex boilers

All supplied devices are designed for mains voltage of 220 V, excess pressure in the main water conduit is more than 0.5 Ati. Consider the most popular broiler models used in everyday life.

Thermex water heater with a volume of 80 liters

For a family of three or more people, the best water heater will be a device with an internal tank capacity of 80 liters "Thermex". The volumetric tank keeps the temperature for 9 hours. Models have a different shape and location, are compact and conveniently built into the allotted space. It is recommended to choose a device with a water heating element in the form of a heating element, the spiral will fail faster. Before installing the Termex water heater 80 liters, read the instructions for use of the device, the conditions for safe operation.

Paragraph 3 lists the equipment delivery set, including elements for connection. It is necessary to check the completeness in accordance with the specification even before purchase.

The buyer needs to know that the warranty period for the electronic and electrical parts on all Termex products is 1 year. But the mechanics is designed for many months of trouble-free operation. The price of a water heater of 80 liters depends on the materials used and equipment. The use of electronic control with multi-level process control will make the model noticeably more expensive. The more complex the shape of the model, the higher the device is rated. The product becomes significantly more expensive if a tank made of special austenitic steel is used instead of enameling the inner surface.

The device is based on a physical process associated with the occurrence of stray currents, electrochemical corrosion, possible water hammer, and gasket wear. Do-it-yourself repair of the Termex 80 water heater is allowed only for cleaning and replacing heaters. A professional can set up the automation and electronics correctly.

Choosing a water heater 50 liters

A small container can be installed even in a cramped room. 50 liters of water is enough for 1-2 consumers

You should pay attention to the water heater Thermex ER 50 V. These models are leaders in demand

The heater power of 1.5 kW will not create a high network load. Heating water for 1 hour 45 minutes. The steel tank is covered with bioglass porcelain enamel and preserves the quality of water as in a ceramic vessel. The tank is guaranteed for 7 years. The retail price is 6757 rubles.

The thermex if 50 v water heater is more complex. It has an austenitic stainless steel metal tank and two heating elements. In total, they give a power of 2 kW, but the electronic control system allows you to connect one element at a time, depending on the task on the display. The price of a Termex water heater 50 liters of this design is 11259 rubles.

30 l model

The miniature water heater Termex 30 is presented by the company in various designs. There are models with an enamelled cistern and a perpetual vessel made of Japanese stainless steel. The outer case can be plastic and metal coated with durable paint. Devices with heating elements 0.7, 1.3, 2.0 kW are installed on different models. It is easy to pick up a device that creates a small load on old networks. There is enough water for one person, a new portion is heated within an hour. Service life of installations not less than 10 years, at timely cleaning and replacement of electrodes.

Even a small boiler is more economical than an instantaneous water heater, which requires separate wiring. With the quality of life in a rural or country house will improve. When choosing a device, it is necessary to take into account the state of the electrical network, the number of users. The more powerful the device, the faster the water will heat up, but one amount of energy will be consumed.

Using a water heater

How to use the Termex water heater? The operating instructions indicate that after installing the tank in place, connecting the water supply network, the electrical part of the apparatus, the following occurs:

  1. It is necessary to turn on the water heater with the power selection key.
  2. The indicator lamp corresponding to the selected mode should light up.
  3. If the model has a digital display, the inclusion is carried out by the On / Off button. And the desired temperature is set manually on the display.
  4. During operation, the consumer can regulate the temperature on models with mechanical control by turning the knob. On electronic units, this is done using the touch keyboard. To do this, press the button "Temp. Setting”, and then you can change it in 5°C increments.
  5. When testing the tank for the first time, the maximum temperature is set to +75°C by default.
  6. If during operation the protection on the heating element has tripped, then to return it to normal mode, you must press a small button on the top of the device.
  7. If the tank is not used in winter, then the water must be drained from it, and then disconnected from the electrical network.

Once every six months, it is necessary to clean the unit from scale and sediment. They are removed from the heating element with special cleaning agents. But it can also be done mechanically. The first maintenance work on a new tank should be carried out after 12 months. To carry out this operation yourself, you must adhere to the following technology:

  1. De-energize the device.
  2. Allow hot water to cool completely or spend it through mixers.
  3. Close access to the cold water tank.
  4. Open the drain valve or remove the cold water safety valve.
  5. A rubber hose is put on the outlet pipe for hot liquid, the second end of which is inserted into the sewer pipe.
  6. Remove the protective covers, unscrew the flange, remove the wires.
  7. The sediment is removed from the tank, the heating element is descaled.
  8. Re-assemble the entire device, fill it with water, turn on the power, check the operation of the tank.

All devices of this type heat water to almost 86-95 ° C, and then the heating element automatically turns off. The main disadvantage of such designs is the repeated switching on of the heating element when the temperature of hot water drops by 5-6°C. This causes increased power consumption.

If the tank is in good condition, then you can keep the liquid warm for almost 12 hours if the tank volume is 80 liters. A device of 30 liters can retain heat for up to 6 hours. Therefore, such water heating structures are usually used in the kitchen for washing dishes and hands. This capacity of the tank allows only to wash.

If possible, it is better to purchase two of the described units - one with a smaller volume for the kitchen, and a large one for the bathroom.

Maintenance and operation manual, tank capacity 15, 30, 50 and 80 liters

The device is controlled by the control panel, which is located on the front side. Such control can be either mechanical or touch, depending on the model chosen.

In the Termex models with a tank capacity of 15, 30, 50 and 80 liters and with mechanical control, the control is carried out using the buttons (1 or 2), which indicate the power of the water heater, where "1" means the power of 1.3 kW of energy, and the total power is 2 kW. The power level is selected based on the situation and needs, as well as depending on the time of year.

A water heater with touch control and a digital screen is considered more functional and modern. Turning on and off the power of the device is carried out by the "ON / OFF" keys on the equipment screen. The screen also displays information about the current temperature level. Power can be adjusted using the button located in the middle - "Power selector".

In the process of using the Termex water heater, the temperature setting is carried out:

In devices with a mechanical control system, using the regulator on the front side of the device. In such a device, the temperature is reduced by turning the knob from right to left, and accordingly, by turning the knob from left to right, the temperature rises, the maximum level of which can reach +75 degrees. You can turn off such an electric water heater by turning the knob from right to left until it stops. It should be noted that the Termex RZB10 water heater model does not provide for manual temperature control.

In devices with electronic (touch) control, there is an LCD display. Control is carried out using three touch buttons. Also on the screen, you can select the appropriate operating mode of the water heater. To set the desired temperature, you need to press the “Temp” key a couple of times. Selector" on the front of the instrument. In all Termex electric water heaters, the default temperature is set to 75 degrees, which is also restored in case of an unexpected power outage.

If during the operation of the water heater the automatic shutdown system works, then after the time has elapsed, turn on the device by pressing the corresponding key. If the device turns off again after turning it on, then one cannot do without the involvement of a specialist in this matter. In no case do not try to open or repair the device yourself, as it can be repaired only with special tools and professional skills.

If the water heater is not used for a long time during the cold season, it is recommended to turn it off and drain the water from the internal tank of the device in order to avoid freezing and damage to the water heater.

What is included with the tank

The Thermex delivery set includes the following parts and assemblies:

  1. Electric heating element with a protective shutdown unit.
  2. One way safety valve.
  3. Special fastening anchor - there are two of them in a set for each fastening bar.

At the same time, the boiler tank is enclosed in an appropriate package, and it is accompanied by an installation manual and instructions for use.

The Thermex storage water heater must be provided with a normal earth connection that complies with all safety regulations for electric heating installations. The water supply must be connected according to the instructions of the water heater through a standard shut-off plumbing connection that has the appropriate certificate.

What are the features of the operation of the device

So, you have purchased a Thermex water heater, so what actions should you take before starting its work, we list them:

  • If you install a boiler in an apartment or house where there is a central water supply, you must first turn off the hot water inlet valve. This is done so that the water you heat does not go into the common riser.
  • Then, as provided by the instructions, it is necessary to fill the boiler with water. In order not to create an air lock and thus the device does not deteriorate, you must first open the hot water valve at the outlet of the device and then supply cold water, after a uniform stream flows from the tap, it is covered and wait until the boiler is fully filled.
  • Further, according to the instructions, it is necessary to turn on the water heater in the network, and check that the indicator lamp lights up. After that, we measure the temperature of the water at the outlet.
  • After 30 minutes, turn on hot water and check its temperature. If it rises, then the device is working properly.
  • The last step is to set the temperature using an adjustable thermostat - the instructions for use describe the setting.

Residual current device during operation

The operation of the Termex water heater may be accompanied by operation. In order to return the equipment to working condition, it is necessary to press the button of the same name. If at the same time the protection worked again, you need to contact the service specialists, since only they can eliminate the cause of the breakdown. If you do not intend to operate the water heater in the winter, then there is a high probability that not only the device, but also the water lines will freeze. In order to eliminate this trouble, it is necessary to turn off the power and drain the water, this is the only way you can avoid damage to the internal tank.

What can a water heater do?

Termex 30 liters has the following specifications:

  1. The mains voltage during operation of the device must be within 220 V and fluctuate by no more than 10% in both directions.
  2. Connection to the water mains must be made at the cold water inlet and hot water outlet using 1/2 inch pipes.
  3. If a standard 2 kW water heater is used to heat water up to 90°C, then the heating time for a Thermex 30 liter volume will be about 50 minutes. For comparison, if a consumer uses Termex 50 liters, then the water will heat up in 1.5 hours, when using an 80-liter device, the heater can heat the liquid in 2 hours and 10 minutes, and if Termex 100 liters is installed, then the water will be warmed up in 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Maintenance

Maintenance involves the identification and subsequent removal of scale that forms on heating elements. Also, sediment may form in the lower part of the internal tank of the appliance, which must also be removed. Descaling is carried out using special cleaning agents. The intensity of the maintenance is determined by special workers after the analysis of the resulting scale. The first maintenance of the device is recommended after a year of use. Failure to perform cleaning work will lead to a decrease in work efficiency and a decrease in the level of efficiency.

In most cases, the reason for the failure of water heaters is precisely the scale formed on the heating element. If the heating element or the heating device fails, and the formation of scale becomes the reason for this, in this case, repair under warranty is not provided. Periodic maintenance must be carried out by the user.

In order to carry out proper maintenance of the device, it is necessary:
1. Turn off the device
2. Wait until the hot water has cooled down, or drain it through the faucet
3. Close the cold water supply
4. Unscrew the drain valve
5. It is necessary to put on a regular hose on the valve and direct it to the sewer
6. It is also necessary to drain the hot water through the mixer
7. Now you can remove the body of the device, disconnect the wires, unscrew and pull out the support flange from the water heater
8. Check for scale on the heating element and at the bottom of the tank, if any, carry out appropriate cleaning.
9. Assemble the device in reverse order.

This article examined the technical characteristics and instructions for using the Termex electric water heater, with a capacity of 30 liters. Note that the manufacturer has set the minimum service life of the Termex water heater to seven years. But this is only on condition that the water in the system meets the required standards and does not contain a large amount of impurities and heavy elements, and that the rules for installation, operation and timely maintenance were observed during the use of the device.

After installing the water heater, proceed to its launch. To properly carry out this process, it is recommended to follow the instructions for use of the heating apparatus. Proper start-up determines the duration of the boiler service and the frequency of maintenance. Starting and setting the boiler modes will differ depending on the type of water heater. However, in general, the order of inclusion is based on the same principles. It looks like this:

  • before turning on the appliance, it is necessary to close the shut-off valve for supplying hot water from the common riser. This must be done even if a non-return valve is present;
  • then proceed to filling the tank with liquid and displacing air;
  • after which you should plug the plug into the socket and adjust the settings. You can start using the equipment in a few hours.

To check the operation of the Thermex water heater, you must perform the following steps:

  • notice the power indicators turn on (they start to burn);
  • determine the temperature of the liquid at the outlet of the mixer;
  • after 20-25 minutes you can see increased temperature values on the touch panel.

In most cases, all consumers are satisfied with the Thermex water heater with a volume of 50 liters. When choosing the best option for heating equipment, reviews from real buyers will help solve this problem and answer the most exciting questions. Many consumers unanimously concluded that a heater with a capacity of 50 liters is much more economical than larger units. The manufacturer offers a fairly wide selection of models - from the cheapest to designer boilers with electronics and a touch screen.

You can learn how to make a water heater with your own hands by watching the video below.

Turn on with touch screen

When starting up for the first time and after a power failure on touch screen models, you should be aware that the unit enters the DEMO mode, in which the heating element is in the off state. How to turn on the Termex water heater in this case? To switch to the operating mode, you must simultaneously press and hold for 5 minutes the upper and lower brackets, these are the mode selection keys on the control panel.

First make sure that the boiler is filled with water. Turning the unit on and off according to the instructions for use is done by pressing the on sign, a circle with a dash inside. In standby mode, Thermex flashes on the display, the indicators show the current time and temperature.

After starting, the device heats the water, when the set temperature is reached, the indicator will glow all the time. In heating mode, you can set the desired power using the upper and lower selection brackets. When choosing a power of 1.3 kW, the indicator will show the inscription "Single power", with 2 kW the inscription "Double power".

The second press allows you to set the required temperature, the upper bracket increases, the lower bracket decreases. If the brackets are held for a long time, the parameter will change quickly. The temperature change step is 1 degree.

To set the timer, press the left bracket on the control panel. The boiler is now in standby until the time you set. The third press of the right bracket allows you to set the current time in hours, the fourth press - in minutes.

The fifth press sets the timer activation time in hours, the sixth - in minutes. With the seventh press, the system returns to work, just as it did five seconds after the last one. On the display of the Thermex Stainless G.5 FLAT DIAMOND boiler, like on others, with a similar self-diagnosis system, in the event that overheating occurs, the heater or thermostat breaks, an error message appears and the power is turned off.

The heating time of Termex water heaters depends on the volume of the tank and the incoming indicators of tap water, for example, a 30-liter tank heats up in an average of 50 minutes, a 50-liter tank takes 1 hour and 25 minutes. how to use the Termex boiler - read the article at the link:.

In conclusion, we suggest watching a video on turning on the Termex boiler with a touch screen:

How to install and connect the device

All connections must be made by qualified installers. A tank with a capacity of up to 150 liters must be placed vertically, and the inlet and outlet pipes must be directed downwards. There are varieties of water heater with a horizontal direction of the body, but they are not very popular. To reduce heat loss, it is necessary to place the device as close as possible to consumers, for example, to faucets in the bathroom or in the kitchen.

The device is suspended using the anchors included in the kit. They are fixed on the wall. The tank must be at least 30 cm away from the vertical surface. There must be good waterproofing in the room, and if it is not there, then it is necessary to install a protective bath under the heater, which has a drain into the sewer.

Valves are installed on the branch pipes, which are isolated from water with Teflon tape or tow, and after that, in accordance with the scheme given in the documentation, cold and hot water pipes are connected to them using metal hoses with rubber gaskets.

The Termex boiler is connected to the electrical network using a cable and a 40 A circuit breaker. The socket must have a grounding petal.

Why Thermex water heaters are popular

A feature of the concern is a narrow specialization. Since its inception in 1949, the Italian company Thermex has been producing exclusively hot water equipment. Products are constantly being improved due to the professionalism of developers. The concern has not only its own production, it includes:

  • scientific laboratory;
  • own design bureau;
  • production of component parts;
  • plant for providing electrical appliances of its own production;
  • Termex assembly plant.

If the product is bought in 160 countries, product assembly plants are located in different countries, including St. Petersburg, product consumption is increasing every year - is this not a guarantee of a worthy choice of a Termez water heater from a wide range of similar products. The concern is one of the three world leaders, with an annual output of 2 million units.

Starting the Termex boiler instruction

As a rule, the installation of equipment is carried out by specialists, but its launch sometimes falls to the lot of the owners themselves. In order not to adversely affect the performance of the machine, the following detailed instructions are offered to turn on the Termex water heater. After all, it is the correctness of this process that largely determines the duration of service and the frequency of service.

Stages of work on turning on the boiler

Depending on whether you have a storage or instantaneous type of water heater, turning on the boiler will have differences in the startup steps and settings. But, in general, despite the differences in design, the order of their inclusion is based on the same principle. Universal start instructions Termex water heater will be as follows:

  1. Before turning on the device, close the shut-off valves for the hot water supply from the common riser. This must be done even if the pipe has a check valve. Since even with the slightest malfunction without blocking the common channel, the device will heat the central water supply.
  2. Before plugging the storage device into a socket, it must be filled with water. The following manipulations contribute to the displacement of air from the system. In order of priority, the outlet from the hot water device and the mixer open, then the cold flow inlet.
  3. Water can be blocked after it began to flow in an even stream. Then you should turn on the water heater in the mains and set the settings. After waiting an hour or two, proceed to its operation.

The instructions for connecting a flow-type water heater will be similar, a distinctive feature will be the obviousness of a quick result.

The device has been turned on, so the next stage of work is in a health check. P Before using the Termex water heater, you need to:

  1. See how the power indicators light up when the device is connected to the network.
  2. Measure the temperature of the water that comes out of the faucet.
  3. After 25 minutes, look at the sensors of the device, which, if correctly connected to the equipment with a touch panel, show an increased temperature. If there are none, then the degree of heating of the water supplied to the mixer should be measured again.

All of the above advantages of Termex boilers allow you to make the right choice. When operating the Termex 50 l electric water heater in accordance with the instructions for use, it will be pleased with the correct work long years.

Instructions for installing and connecting the device

Installation and connection of the water heater must be carried out only by a qualified specialist, otherwise it may malfunction and cause physical and property damage to health.

Placement and installation of the water heater

It is important that the location of the water heater is close to the place where hot water is used, this will help reduce heat loss when passing through the pipes. . The water heater is mounted on pre-hammered anchors to a special housing bracket

The water heater is mounted on pre-hammered anchors to a special housing bracket.

In the room where the installation of the Termex water heater is planned, there must be waterproofing of the floor and access to the sewer. It is not allowed to place electrical appliances and objects that are “afraid of water” under the operating device. In the event that these conditions cannot be met, it is necessary at least to install a special protective tray with access to the sewer.There is no protective tray in Termex kits with a tank capacity of 15, 30, 50 and 80 liters.

Electrical connection

Before connecting the water heater to the mains, it must be completely filled with water.

The appliance comes with a standard cord and plug for connecting to the mains. Without fail, the socket must be modern (with a ground terminal) and located in a zone protected from moisture. In this case, it is necessary to take into account the maximum allowable power for the socket and cord, which must be more than two thousand watts, otherwise the wire or socket may overheat and a fire hazard situation will arise.

Maintenance and repair of Termex water heaters

During the operation of the apparatus, salt deposits gradually appear on the heating elements, preventing heat transfer. Despite the filter installed at the feed water inlet, sediment gradually accumulates on the walls of the inner flask. Relays and sensors fail. Signs of a need for repair:

  • water is heated for a long time;
  • extraneous sounds appear inside the tank;
  • frequent activation with subsequent protection operation;
  • the quality of the water at the outlet has changed;
  • The machine does not heat water.

Work on replacing and cleaning heating elements, flushing the tank can be done independently. In case of failure of the control unit, adjustment is required in a specialized center.

If the family is more than three people, there is no hot water supply, installing an electric storage water heater will be the best way out in a country house.

Before repair of any complexity, it is necessary to de-energize the equipment. Empty the tank from water, draining it through a tap, with air supply to force the liquid out of the flask.

Work on replacing thermoelements or cleaning them from scale is carried out on a dismantled and inverted tank. It is necessary to take a picture of the wiring diagram for its restoration in the future. Remove heating elements for cleaning or replacement.

If replacement is required, you need to know that the heating element for the Termes water heater is used in accordance with the model brand and instructions. In most models of water heaters, two heating elements are installed, the same number of magnesium anodes should be in a single set. When installing the heating element in place, it is necessary to prevent distortion. All gaskets or collars must be clean, the flange is mounted in a cross pattern.

Annually, and when using water of increased hardness, it is necessary to drain the tank more often and clean not only the heating elements, but also the bottom of the tank from sediment. If the scale has covered the walls of the boiler, it creates an additional insulating layer without interfering with the heating process. A removed but serviceable element should be descaled and the condition of the anode checked with its possible replacement.

The electrodes are cleaned using Antinakipin and similar household chemicals.

A magnesium anode is installed in the system to protect the heating element from corrosion. Loose oxide deposits reduce heat transfer and lead to energy waste. The anode can be changed if it is worn out.

Heating elements for the Termex water heater are of various designs, they differ in the material of manufacture, the method of fastening. Shells of branded products are made of steel or copper.

Repair of the water heater in other cases is carried out at the service center using branded spare parts for the Termex water heater.

The procedure for connecting storage water heaters

To install the boiler, it is necessary to choose a place where hot water is needed more often, and the wiring to the tapping point will be short. Each model is designed for horizontal or vertical installation, as indicated in the passport and on the label. Mounting the structure on the wall, setting up operating modes, competently connecting to the electrical network is best left to specialists.

how to connect a Termex water heater with your own hands? In this case, you must strictly follow the instructions for connecting the device. Must have:

  • water heater Thermex;
  • anchor fasteners;
  • pipes for wiring;
  • flanges, pipes, fasteners.

Fix the water heater on the wall, according to the diagram. In this case, it should be taken into account that the supports on the water heaters are not placed horizontally and vertically, but are commensurate with the center of gravity of the device. Therefore, it is necessary to drill holes for the anchor in exact accordance with the heels of the tank. After strengthening the main structure on the wall, they begin to tie the water heater with water wiring.

Particular attention should be paid to the state of electrical networks. How Termex to the network is seen in the diagram

The heater requires a separate line, and the socket must be located on the side of the appliance.

Until the tank is completely filled with water, keep the plug of the device packed so as not to accidentally turn it on dry. The first inclusion in the network is carried out after filling the container and checking the tightness of the connections. The tank is considered full when water flows out of the drain under pressure.

The water heater in the kit has a cord with a plug that provides for grounding. There is a contact point for grounding on the body of the device. The circuit provides for an RCD that turns off the device in the event of a malfunction and microleaks in the network.

The temperature setting must be carried out, guided by the instructions for connecting the device.

conclusions

So, time to sum up. We figured out the basic principles of the boiler. Considered its main advantages, found out how to use it. Now we need to decide which boiler we need:

    Before buying, you need to decide on the volume of the container, it depends primarily on the consumption of water, how often and in what volumes you will use it.

    The only thing to consider is that you do not need to buy too small models, saving on the purchase due to the size, you will spend more on frequent repairs in the future. This is explained by the fact that the more often the water is heated, the more scale there will be on the heating element, and as a result, the faster it will fail;

  • Decide on the shape of the device, it can be of a cylindrical or rectangular wall type, there are also floor models, it will depend on the correct choice - how much free space you have left in the room after its installation;
  • Well, the last thing you need to decide is who will install the device, you or specialists.

    The instructions that come with the device will help you install it yourself.

    And if you still decide to hire someone, then it is better to contact the suppliers of this equipment, they often give a guarantee for the installation and for the boiler itself.

New appliances in the house require study of the instruction manual. Boring job. The worthwhile information is always hidden behind a pile of technical terms and is often difficult to digest. But it is on this that the correct and correct operation of the devices depends. To connect the boiler, you can call a specialist, but you can save money and do all the work yourself. We suggest that you familiarize yourself with the standard instructions for connecting the boiler. Everything is explained here, clearly and concisely.

Boiler installed. Installation work was carried out by specialists or the owner, it does not matter. In any case, you need to check the operation of the system. To do this, following the above tips, you need to start the heater for the first time.

  1. We start by checking the correct connection of the systems responsible for heating water. Fidelity, reliability of the connection of phase and zero wires, the presence of grounding. The operation of the circuit breaker should also be checked. For this, a device is used - a tester or a special electrician's screwdriver.
  2. Next comes the search for leaks in the system.. It will be useful to control the connection of underwater pipes. Availability and diagnostics of the check valve operation.
  3. Running water into the boiler. Attention, the correct sequence of actions during the first and subsequent launches of the system will be described in the next section.
  4. Repeated search for water leaks at pipe installation sites b.
  5. Diagnostics of heater operation. Turn on the machine by pressing the power button.
  6. Fixing initial indicators temperature sensor.
  7. Recheck after 15 minutes. The growth of indicators indicates the correct connection of the heating elements.

Sequencing

It is worth mentioning right away that the following the start sequence is correct for both flow and storage heaters. A couple of nuances - in the case of the first type, you do not have to wait for the tank to be filled with water, and close the tap at the 2nd point.

  1. Start by turning off the hot water supply, which comes from the urban supply system. If you skip this step, the water heated by the boiler will go into the common riser, regardless of the check valve.
  2. Opening a hot water faucet. We are waiting for the liquid remaining in them to drain from the pipes. We close the tap.
  3. Two pipes go to the bottom of the boiler. One, marked with a blue ring, is underwater, the other, with a red marker, is used to supply hot water to pipes.
  4. Opening the valve on the underwater pipe. Water begins to flow into the storage device.
  5. Next, unwind the second valve on the boiler. Allowing the water to go out into the pipes.
  6. Turn on the hot water on the faucet. We are waiting for air to escape from the system and an even stream of water to flow. We shut off the water.
  7. We connect the heater to the electrical network and set the desired temperature.

In a house where there is no hot water supply, the first step must be skipped. Subsequent switching on of the heater will occur according to the same scheme. The only difference is in the 6th paragraph. Then, not air, but stagnant water will begin to come out of the heater tank.

Heating mode selection

Set the heating mode. The main thing in this matter is to set the water temperature that is comfortable for the user.. However, here are a few tips, the implementation of which will significantly extend the life of the device. This will save you money on future repairs.

  • Set the temperature to 30-40 degrees as little as possible. Under such conditions, bacteria will quickly develop inside the storage tank. This will lead to an unpleasant musty odor. The walls will be covered with a fungus that is difficult to remove.
  • Optimum operating mode, 55-60 degrees. In such a temperature range, less scale will form on the heating element. The risk of mold will be reduced. It is comfortable for human skin.
  • Once a week, the boiler must be set to 90 degrees. Wait a couple of hours, and return to the previous mode. This is done to completely destroy bacteria in the storage tank.
  • Some devices have an economical mode of operation. The heater in this case does not consume less electricity. The settings will be set, as in paragraph 2, and we are talking about reducing the risk of breakage.
  • In the case of a flow type heater, the temperature is also controlled by water pressure..

Rules for using the device

You can use the accumulative type device immediately after the first start. To do this, turn it on and select the operating mode. Throughout the operation, you will have to follow some rules. They will help increase the life of the boiler.

  • Before switching on, check the presence of water in the tank. This will prevent failure of the heaters.
  • It is recommended to install a filter on the pipe supplying water to the boiler. It will protect against dirt and reduce water hardness.
  • Descale the storage tank at least once a year.
  • Periodically monitor the performance of the protective anode, change if necessary.

Flow type devices require several other rules to be followed.

  • Check the water pressure before turning on the power. A weak jet will not allow the device to function normally.
  • In case of uncomfortable temperature, adjust it with the buttons on the body or by turning the mixer tap.
  • If the heater is installed in a bathroom, organize splash protection.
  • Hot water is no longer needed - be sure to turn off the device.

The reliability of the equipment depends not only on the quality of the products. Also important: the correct installation, inclusion and use of equipment. Compliance with the recommendations given in the article will significantly increase the period of uninterrupted operation of the boiler.

Termex water heaters are ordinary models, ordinary household appliances. Self-installation of a Termex water heater is an example of an ordinary operation. We list the key points.

The main points when installing Termex water heaters

Consider how an independent installation of a Termex water heater is carried out. Let's pay attention to the moments mentioned in passing. By the way, do not forget - the plumbing is completely dressed for at least three and a half turns. Otherwise, cut the thread. Self-installation of the Termex water heater is carried out according to the standard scheme. We emphasize only the hushed places.

It is impossible to operate the Termex water heater without a magnesium anode. In heating technology, a magnesium anode protects aluminum and steel against galvanic corrosion in circuits with copper elements. This is written in SNiPs. It is forbidden to operate iron and aluminum structures downstream of copper structures.

The same applies to water heaters. Often heating elements use copper. Copper conducts heat well, the efficiency of the device increases. There are steel heating elements. This is due to electrochemical corrosion: the difference in electrical potential between the steel tank and the heating element is zero. Therefore, destruction is blocked. We want to note that the process of electrochemical corrosion is not associated with 220 V from the outlet. Metals in nature have a natural potential. Copper is on the right side of the charge range, magnesium is on the left.

When a conductive medium is formed between two metals, charge transfer begins. As a result, one material becomes a donor, collapsing. Tanks of water heaters, not counting flow models, are made of steel. In some cases, the alloy is alloyed, gets the properties of stainless steel, in others it is covered with enamel. There is no third. If the protective layer is broken, the steel comes into contact with water. As a result, if copper lurks upstream, the process of electrochemical corrosion starts. All the more so because the small scratched area of steel accounts for the full impact force. Due to this, the process of electrochemical corrosion is fast. The tank starts to leak, damage is not subject to replacement under warranty or repair. Draw your own conclusions.

It is difficult to patch the tank - you will have to tear off the external thermal insulation glued (foam) to the walls from the outside. It is necessary to carry out and passivate the places of damage from the inside. The process is not simple and safe. Be clear - the operation of a water heater without a magnesium anode is unacceptable.

Please note that the tanks of flow models are made of copper so as not to install a magnesium anode, for which there is simply no place inside. A crane made of non-galvanized steel will gradually eat corrosion. For protection, use a faucet made of galvanized steel (copper is not available).

Is it possible to put the Termex water heater upside down

The Termex water heater must not be installed bypassing the instructions. It happens that you need a device with an upper eyeliner. The solution is to buy a new water heater.

In the normal state, when the Thermex is hanging correctly, the intake tube inside the tank enters in the upper quarter, and the inlet in the lower quarter. The heating element is located at the bottom, between the spirals there is a probe of the thermostat, which is responsible for turning off the device in case of overheating. The temperature of the water is determined, not the heating element. How the circuit works:

Let's turn the tank upside down:

  1. Cold water comes in from above, hits the divider.
  2. From below, a part of the jet that has passed the heating element accumulates. The device does not withstand thermal conditions.
  3. It is worth opening the tap, as the fence will go from below. Hot water will gradually reach this point, it is possible to burn yourself.

It's okay until the water is turned off in the riser, and usually without warning. In normal condition, when the water heater is hung correctly, the water in the tank will not drop below three quarters. It is worth turning the tank over, the heating element will be in the air (a pillow will come out of the riser). It turns out - the spirals heat up, but the probe hanging in the air cannot correctly determine the mode. Spirals overheat and burn out. Warranty repair is excluded, get ready to tinker in the sediment and dirt of the tank to fix the problem.

The presence of a check valve in Termex water heaters

In the store, the check valve is marked with a water flow arrow and is associated with a bypass valve (ribbed fitting in the photo). It is necessary:

  • When water enters the tank from the riser (for the first time you will have to slightly open the mixer, give air current). The system works without it, just a pillow will accumulate on top, and when using the shower it will come off. We'll have to wait for time.
  • As soon as the pressure inside the tank is equal to the riser, the check valve slams shut. The heating element starts heating the water. The thermal expansion coefficient of steel is less than that of water. The tank begins to buckle under pressure. The valve does not let the water back into the riser. Deformation causes damage to the tank leading to cracks in the protective enamel coating and corrosion (see above). The bypass valve bleeds excess fluid when pressurized.

The non-return valve prevents the heated water from leaving the riser. It is permissible to use the water heater with an empty faucet. When the tap is turned off, the upper part of the tank is drained, but 80 percent will remain inside. To use it, at the inlet to the water heater, a tee is placed on the inlet pipe, water is taken through the valve if necessary. It is important to make the correct wiring diagram. The tee is between the water heater and the bypass valve.

Let us mention the rule of cutting a tee. Usually sediment accumulates in the tank. If you embed a check valve into the lower branch of the tee, when you turn off the water and try to empty the tank through the side branch, dirt will settle on the valve, which is unfavorable for the operation of the latter. The scheme looks advantageous when the water heater is powered from the side, and the emergency drain goes vertically down. In this case, we partially clean the tank without disassembling the tank and removing the heating element, which is very convenient. Take note.

Place a coarse filter near the riser - the non-return valve does not like dirt. The inner channel resembles the Latin V, set on its side. There is a mesh at the top, and according to the rules, the entrance wall has a negative slope (pointed down), dirt accumulates inside. Deviate from the rules, during a planned or emergency shutdown of water, rust will be washed into the riser. But no derogation is allowed. A worthy owner is able to clean the filter on his own. Signs: the tank is poorly filled, and the water drains well through the outlet. If cleaning did not help, the problem is in the non-return valve, the fittings should be removed and rinsed.

Before installing the Termex water heater, make sure that there is a convenient approach to the device. Quickly make sure: removing the heating element is not an easy task. If you do not want to reinstall the Termex water heater yourself, worry about scheduled maintenance in advance. The instruction manual clearly states how many times a year to clean the product by completely emptying the tank.

Consider how join boiler Thermex when already delivered. At the beginning of all work, we close the valves at the water inlet to the living area. We will need a set of keys, tow and hermetic paste, a drill, and, depending on the pipe material, an angle grinder, a plastic pipe cutter or a soldering machine for propylene compounds.

You will also need pipes, three valves, clips for fasteners, dowels and screws, a check valve (may be included with the device Termex), tees. First, we think about the switching circuit and perform an approximate drawing on a paper sheet.

Next, we transfer the already real dimensions with the lines along which the pipes will pass to the wall surface with a pencil or marker. Essentially, we bring cold water into the storage electric water heater and bring the heated water out to the hot water riser.

First of all, we cut the tees into the risers of cold and hot water. It is very easy to do it yourself if you have metal-plastic or propylene pipes. In the first option, a tee is purchased and cut in; to connect to a propylene pipe, you will need a specialized soldering machine.

If you have an old iron water meter assembly, and you don’t plan to change it at the moment, cut a piece of pipe to the size of the tee with an angle grinder, cut the threads at the ends with a die and wind the brass tee with union nuts. For tightness, we use rubber gaskets.

Rubber seal for water heater Termex

If you are installing boiler in a privatized house, then, most likely, you do not have hot water pipes. This makes the task easier, it will only be necessary to draw a channel from the water heater to the mixing device. If you have several points of water intake, then with the help of tees the required number of branches is performed.

Next, we bring the pipes very close to the water heater, leaving room for bending hoses. We attach them by drilling holes in the wall and placing clips of the appropriate diameter on dowels with self-tapping screws. The Thermex Hit H 10-0 and Thermex Hit 10 U models have both bottom and top connections.

We assemble taps on two pipes. At the end of the cold water inlet, first of all, we put a check valve, and then an additional tee with a tap. If you are purchasing a safety valve on your own, it is important to observe the pressure rating corresponding to the boiler model.

This information is written in the operating instructions for the device. When installing, pay attention to the flow direction arrow, which is drawn on the valve. An additional tee with a tap is required in order to drain water from the tank during maintenance or to use the supply of liquid in case of turning off the mechanized water supply.

Water heater drain valve

Install flexible hoses. There are marks on the case, the cold water inlet is marked with a blue ring, and the hot water outlet is marked with a red one. Flexible hoses are taken expensive high quality.

It is not recommended to perform a connection without hoses, since in this case all pressure drops will strike the tank. For added safety, a pressure equalization reducer is installed at the inlet. It changes to a pressure slightly less than indicated in the instructions.

It is much easier to turn on flow type water heaters, such as Thermex 350 Stream and Thermex 500 Stream. They are intended for one draw-off point and are only asked to supply cold water and bring heated water to the mixing device.

This completes the connection, it remains to check the reliability of the connections and adjust the parameters of the water heater. We open the valve at the inlet of cold water (while leaving the hot tap closed). Turn on the hot water mixer.

Fluid will begin to fill in the tank. We carefully inspect all nodes for leaks. If drops appear somewhere, turn off the water, unwind the knot, change the tow and collect it back.

It will take approximately 5 minutes to fill a 50 liter tank, and about 8 minutes for an 80 liter tank. When water comes out of the tap, it means that the tank is full and you can turn on the device. We turn on the storage electric water heater in the electrical network.

If you have a model with an electronic control board, for example, Thermex Flat Plus IF 30 V or Thermex Stainless G5, we carry out the initial setup. The control panel contains three buttons, three indicator lights and an LDC monitor.

Press the power button labeled "ON / OFF". With the second Power Selector button, we select the required power, and with the third we set the temperature. It will affect the screen, and after two seconds it will change to an important one.

In much more common models without an electronic control board, such as Thermex ER 50 V, the setting is mechanical. Simply set the heating level with the knob and turn on one or two Tubular Heaters with the red switches.
