Rules for the safe use of gas and electrical appliances. Rules for the operation of gas equipment in residential buildings: measures and standards for safe use. Why is carbon monoxide dangerous?

Of course, gasification in homes can hardly surprise anyone today (unless, of course, you have relatives in the Amazon jungle). But a habit can do a disservice.

There are two types of "home" gas: methane (the one that goes through the main pipe to your stove) and propane / butane (it is brought in red cylinders). An ordinary person not only will not distinguish these gases, he will not even detect them - they have no smell. However, precisely in order for their leakage to be detected, a substance that has a rather unpleasant odor is added to the gas. It is he who is associated with gas.

IT'S IMPORTANT TO KNOW

Methane is lighter than air and tends upward.

Cylinder gas is heavier - it accumulates at the bottom, penetrates under the floor, if there are gaps.

If a leak has formed from a cylinder, for example, in a country house, where there are often cellars and underground floors, even if the leak is small, there is a risk that gas can accumulate and one fine moment one small spark from the switch will be enough for a catastrophe.

If there is no electricity in your cellar, you can simply breathe gas.

According to statistics, the main reason for all gas accidents is the usual negligence and disregard for established safety standards. Therefore, in order to be known as a zealous owner, follow a few rules:

1. Before lighting up and while burning gas appliances, ventilate the room by opening a window or window or turning on the forced ventilation system.

2.. Check the draft in the flue ducts before firing up, periodically do this while burning.

3. No matter how trite it may sound, but - do not leave the switched on gas appliances unattended.

4. Do not use gas stoves for heating! Why - see the section "Carbon monoxide".

5. Do not construct, carry or repair gas equipment by yourself! This is very dangerous and can lead to an explosion, unless of course you are a gas worker.

6. If there will be no tenants in the building for a long time, it is better to take the cylinders outside the building and turn off the gas equipment. Even minimally leaky systems can form explosive concentrations of gas with air over a long period of time in closed rooms!

And one more thing: if there is an accident on the highway and it is blocked, do not leave the valves open. Gas can be given at any time without warning, and you simply will not notice. The consequences can be dire.

HOW TO DETECT A LEAK

Visually: Soap is the suspected leak - most often these are the joints in pipes and fittings. Where a bubble is inflated from soapy water, there is a leak;

Aurally: in the case of a strong leak, the characteristic hiss will tell ... at least where it is worth soaping for checking;

By smell: the characteristic odor becomes stronger in the vicinity of the leak. And the very fact of the appearance of a smell is the reason for the above measures.

And, of course, don't try to search for a leak with a lighter!

IF A GAS LEAK STILL HAPPENED

1. Do not use electrical appliances

Do not insert or remove plugs from electrical outlets - any spark could cause an explosion. Do not do anything at all that could cause a spark or a rise in temperature.

2. Call the "04" service immediately

Better from neighbors or mobile.

3. While waiting for the emergency gang, ventilate the apartment

Open the windows, create a draft that should blow away all those present in the apartment, except you. There shouldn't be any superfluous ones. Let them go and meet the gas workers. And it is better to turn off the intercom and the call (see point 1).

IF GAS BURNS OUT AT LEAKAGE

If it is possible to shut off the flow before the leak, shut off and everything will go out. If not, do not mascara under any circumstances! The maximum you can try to remove flammable objects from the area of exposure to the flame. But in this case, a fire is less dangerous than an open gushing of gas. The consequences of the explosion will be enormous - there have been cases when half of the house was blown apart due to a gas leak. Therefore, take all your people out of the apartment and run yourself, calling the emergency gas service and fire brigade on the run by calling 112.

With a balloon, of course, everything is easier. But the principles are exactly the same.

If there is a leak from the cylinder, disconnect it from the fittings (if there is nothing, cut off the rubber hose) and take the cylinder outside. Be sure to take an assistant. In order not to drop it, it is fraught with at least ignition. Call the emergency gang at 112, and if the cylinder is not working, ask them for an opinion in order to exchange it for a new one.

If suddenly a gas caught fire at the place of a leak from a cylinder, try calling a "fireman" by calling 112, wrap your hands in a wet towel and turn off the valve. If the flame is small, throw the same wet towel over the fountain, extinguish the flame, take the balloon outside and wait for the emergency gang to arrive.

If the flame is large, you should not extinguish it, so as not to let gas into the room - an explosion is possible.

However, no matter what decision you make - to run or to extinguish - you need to act quickly. Otherwise, the balloon will heat up and explode anyway.

In addition to the explosiveness of the gas, there is another important aspect - its toxic effect on the body. The so-called carbon monoxide plays an important role in this process.

If your apartment has a gas water heater, you simply must know everything about it.

CARBON MONOXIDE

Carbon monoxide - carbon monoxide (CO) - is a familiar compound from school. And it is extremely dangerous also because in everyday life there are too many options for its formation. In most cases, they are all associated with combustion. CO is one of the products of incomplete combustion of any substance. And, unlike household gas, it is impossible to notice it without special devices - carbon monoxide is colorless and odorless.

When almost all types of fuel are burned in conditions of a lack of oxygen, CO begins to actively form. Therefore, in stoves and household gas water heaters with impaired ventilation, the formation of this poison is inevitable. If the damper is closed ahead of time or too much, it will be dangerous to be in the room.

WHAT IS DANGEROUS WITH CARBON MONOXIDE?

Breathing in carbon monoxide is like cutting your veins. No, you, in the strict sense, do not lose blood. However, it loses its main property - to deliver oxygen to the tissues. Carbon monoxide tightly binds to hemoglobin and makes it impossible for an oxygen molecule to attach to it. So with each breath, the efficiency of the blood decreases. The first to suffer from oxygen starvation will be the brain, which will not be able to control the body. And then - lethal outcome.

FIRST AID FOR CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING

If you or someone close to you have a dull headache, dizziness, vomiting, chest pains, confusion, lack of coordination, as well as bright red or bluish skin, all signs of poisoning are present.

The victim must be transferred to a well-ventilated room (or better outside), do not force him to go himself. And call an ambulance right away. Provide him with the ability to breathe easily, calmness. In no case do not give alcohol - it will cause even more toxicity.

Most of the population of our country actively uses household gas, since it is carried out not only in apartments, but also in private houses. Emergencies often occur, especially when safety precautions are not followed. The rules for using gas in everyday life will help prevent various unpleasant situations. You just need to use them always.

Gas supply of houses

The use of gas for heating / heating water is possible due to the low price of the fossil. After performing primary processing, it is cleaned of impurities and additives. Since the gas pipeline network is well developed, fuel can be obtained anywhere. Gas is used for:

  • cooking;
  • water heating;
  • heating the room.

To prepare food, gas stoves are used, which are conveniently connected and work smoothly. If there is no hot water in the house, then a heating system can be created. In the absence of central heating, the house can be equipped with gas. By installing the boiler, you can independently regulate the temperature in the house. For whatever purpose the equipment is used, it requires proper operation and regular checks.

Responsibilities of the population

Every person must follow the rules for using gas at home. The Russian Federation regulates this area with the help of laws. The population is obliged to know the rules for the use of gas. The supervisory authorities should issue instructions with recommendations for the use of devices.

It is important to constantly monitor the operation of gas equipment, chimneys, ventilation. Before turning on the gasified furnace, make sure that the gate is open. Regular cleaning of the "pocket" of the chimney is required. After using the equipment, you need to close the taps of the devices, and when installing the cylinders, close the valves.

If there is no gas supply, then you need to turn off the burners, and then report this to the emergency service. If the equipment malfunctions, it is necessary to call specialists. If there is a smell of gas, then you need to turn off the device and ventilate the room. Emergency service is called by phone 04.

Required rules

Household safety is ensured by the rules for using gas at home. 86-P (law that came into force on 04/26/1990) contains the basic rules that allow you to correctly operate the equipment. Inspection and repair of gas pipelines, according to this document, should be carried out only by specialists who have presented a certificate. When the cylinders are being installed, the room must be vacated. The fire should be ignited only if there is no smell of gas.

Residents are responsible for timely payment for services, the cost of which is set by the supplier. Heads should be checked regularly during winter to keep them from freezing and clogging. These elementary rules for using gas in everyday life will prevent many unfavorable situations.

What is prohibited?

The current rules for the use of gas in everyday life state that it is necessary to carry out measures that are necessary for the proper operation of the equipment. At the same time, there are actions prohibited for users:

  • independent gasification, rearrangement, equipment repair;
  • redevelopment in a room where there are gas appliances, as well as changing the area of rooms without agreement with the relevant authorities;
  • making adjustments to the design of equipment, smoke systems, channels;
  • shutdown of safety automation and regulation, as well as the operation of faulty devices;
  • use of gas in the presence of violations in the density of masonry, plastering of stoves and chimneys.

What else cannot gas users do on their own?

The rules for the safe use of gas in everyday life require regular checks and cleaning of the chimney and ventilation. Without this, the use of the equipment is prohibited. The devices cannot be used in rooms where the vents, blinds, and faulty ventilation are closed.

Equipment that is switched on should not be left unattended. Children should not use it on their own, adults should do it. The devices must be used strictly for their intended purpose. Do not dry laundry over equipment. No need to open fire to detect leaks. The devices must not be damaged.

All these and other norms include the rules for using gas in everyday life. 86-P of 04/26/1990 (order of the VO "Rosstroygazifikatsiya" under the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR) allows you to determine actions for certain cases. For violation of the rules, administrative liability is provided. Instructions on the rules for using gas in everyday life are carried out by service specialists. Residents are usually given instructions.

Rules for the operation of gas appliances

The rules for the safe use of gas at home are extremely simple. Before turning on the stove, the room must be ventilated. The equipment taps must be closed, only then can the device be turned on.

It is necessary to light a match, bring it to the burner, open the switch. The gas should ignite throughout the entire burner. The flame is usually calm, bluish. If hob rings are used, they should be installed with their ribs facing up. There is no need to turn on a strong fire. If the pan has a wide bottom, use high-ribbed hob rings.

After boiling the contents of the container, the flame must be reduced. After preparing food, you need to carefully turn off the gas. Before using the oven, open it for a while. The stove must be clean, otherwise carbon monoxide is formed if the gas is incompletely burned.

Responsibility

Violation of the rules for using gas in everyday life is punished. This was established by the State Duma with the help of a bill. Failure to comply with the rules entails administrative responsibility. The following actions were recognized as violations:

  • non-compliance with safety requirements;
  • improper use of gas, as well as inaction in the event of equipment breakdown;
  • use of equipment without a service contract;
  • repair of the device by a non-specialist;
  • operation of the equipment when its working life has passed;
  • use of a device that has been found to be unrepairable;
  • gas supply after the expiration of the device's service life.

For such acts, fines are provided: for citizens - 500-3000 rubles, for officials - 2.5-5 thousand rubles, and for legal entities - 5-30 thousand rubles. On the basis of the violation, the employee of the State Housing Inspection draws up a protocol.

What to do in the event of a gas leak?

The gas remains hazardous to human life and health. It not only poisons, but also explodes. Pure propane is odorless and requires a special perfume to recognize it. Careful handling of cylinders, stove is necessary.

Even if a leak has been found, you cannot:

  • repair equipment yourself;
  • tie ropes to pipes and do not use them for grounding;
  • working devices must not be left unattended.

If a strong smell of gas is felt in the room, it is necessary to immediately shut off its supply, and then ventilate the room. Call the emergency service. There is no need to light a fire or use other appliances.

Gas equipment check

Gas appliances are considered hazardous and must be checked regularly. This work is performed only by a specialist. Warranty service allows you to identify equipment malfunctions in time.

Gas appliances in multi-storey buildings are of 2 types:

  • in-house: taps and risers at the entrance;
  • intra-apartment: equipment in a dwelling.

By law, the homeowner is responsible for the performance of the gas appliances. Inspection should be carried out regularly by specialized companies. This work is carried out on the basis of the concluded contract.

Responsibility for the quality of equipment operation is assigned to the management companies. The instruments must be checked every year. An agreement for the provision of such services is made in writing. The regulatory authorities issue rules for the use of gas in everyday life.

Checking features

Maintenance involves performing a routine inspection of the equipment for suitability. Indoor appliances are risers, taps and other elements of the system located in the entrances. The maintenance is carried out by the managing organization.

Intra-apartment equipment includes the property that is located in a residential building. These can be heating boilers, water heaters, stoves, pipes. The maintenance contract is drawn up by the owner of the apartment.

The document is a guarantee of safety, as well as the performance of the necessary work to check and repair equipment. An agreement is concluded with companies that have the following requirements:

  • the company carries out work on the transportation and distribution of gas;
  • has an agreement with a supplier;
  • the company is undergoing certification;
  • has an emergency dispatch service.

The owner needs a maintenance document. This means that the initiator of the check can be both the owner of the premises and the management organization. Following these simple rules will extend the life of the equipment.

Natural gas (methane) is a colorless, non-toxic gas, therefore, if it leaks from a gas pipeline, an air-gas mixture can form in the premises, which remains unnoticed.

For the safe use of gas in everyday life, it is necessary to take into account its natural properties and observe the following rules:

1. If a smell of gas is detected in the room, it is necessary to immediately turn off the taps on the lowering to the devices and on the devices, open the window and doors, create a draft, call the emergency service by phone 104 ... Do not light a fire, do not smoke, do not turn on electric lighting and electrical appliances, do not use electric bells, take measures to remove people from the gas-polluted area.

2. During the operation of the gas stove, the vent must be open. If the supply of fresh air is insufficient, the gas does not completely burn out and carbon monoxide is emitted. Carbon monoxide is a product of incomplete combustion of methane. Colorless and odorless, very poisonous. With a content of 10% carbon monoxide from the volume of the room, it is enough for a person to take a few breaths and death occurs. Signs of carbon monoxide emission: the appearance of yellow, orange, red tints in the flame and soot on the dishes.

3. In the event of a malfunction of the gas equipment or for a preventive inspection of gas appliances, it is necessary to call the workers of the operating gas service for phone 104.

4. It is necessary to monitor the normal operation of chimneys and ventilation, check the draft before switching on and during the operation of gas heating boilers.

5. By the beginning of the heating season, the subscriber must receive an act on the state of chimneys from the Fire Service

6. Undergo instructions on the safe use of natural gas from the controllers of the operational gas service, have on hand instructions (memo) on the operation of gas appliances and strictly observe them.

Subscribers are prohibited from:

1. To carry out unauthorized gasification of a house or apartment, rearrangement, replacement and repair of gas appliances;

2. Redevelop the premises where gas appliances are installed, without coordination with the relevant organizations;

3. Make changes to the design of gas appliances. Modify the devices of smoke and ventilation systems. To glue ventilation ducts, brick up or glue up "pockets" and hatches intended for cleaning chimneys;

4. Use gas in case of malfunction of gas appliances, automation and gas cylinders, especially if a gas leak is detected;

5. Leave working gas appliances unattended (except for appliances designed for continuous operation and having appropriate automation for this);

6. Allow preschool children to use gas appliances. As well as persons who do not control their actions and do not know the rules for using these devices.

7. Use a gas stove to heat the room to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning.

8. Use heating boilers after the expiration of the certificate for chimneys

9. Use an open flame to detect gas leaks (for this purpose, a soap emulsion or special devices are used).

P O M N I T E!

A gas smell occurs when it leaks into the room. If the gas-air mixture ignites, an explosion and fire are possible.

If you smell gas, you must :

Close all taps at gas appliances and on the inlet gas pipeline;

Open windows and doors, ventilate the premises;

Call the emergency service of the gas industry by phone 104 .

Until the gas leak is eliminated,:

Light fire, smoke;

Switch on and off electrical appliances, electric lighting and electric calls, use the in-house telephone.

ATTENTION!

Failure to comply with the Safety Rules when using gas causes O P A S N O S T L for life!

About their personal responsibility not only for the life and property of their loved ones, but also before neighbors and other citizens. Your safety is in your hands!

One of the main sources of energy today is gas. It is characterized by high combustion temperature, environmental priorities and low cost. However, blue fuel is fraught with danger. When mixed with air, it becomes explosive.

The gas is widely used in the production of numerous polymer products, and serves as an energy supplier for heating commercial facilities. We are constantly faced with its use in everyday life, therefore it is very important to comply with the rules for operating gas equipment in residential buildings.

How to use gas appliances correctly and what to do is strictly prohibited, you will learn from our article. Here you will find information on how to act in the event of a gas leak, how often and who should check the gas equipment, for which violations the gas service can turn off the blue fuel supply.

According to the rules for the operation of gas equipment installed in residential buildings, all consumers of natural gas must monitor the correct operation of gas appliances.

The responsibilities of homeowners include the need to check the ventilation and chimney, as well as organize access to the premises where the equipment belonging to the local structure of GorGaz is installed.

The liquefied gas used in everyday life is a mixture of butane and propane. The substance is colorless and odorless. To detect a leak, an odorant (ethyl mercoptan) is added to it, which makes the gas smell like a rotten egg.

General requirements for the operation of gas appliances:

  • if there is a smell of gas in the room, the use of devices must be urgently turned off the tap, open the window, leave the gas-polluted room and call the emergency gas service (it is forbidden to smoke, turn on the lighting (!) and other electrical appliances);
  • it is forbidden to independently and without permits to gasify houses, to repair gas equipment;
  • it is unacceptable to glue ventilation ducts, pockets and "hatches" for cleaning chimneys, to transfer or "brick up" ventilation systems;
  • it is forbidden to operate gas equipment with closed windows, lack of ventilation, as well as draft in the chimney;
  • it is strictly forbidden to use the equipment for children under 14 years old, persons in a state of alcoholic intoxication, incapacitated persons, who are not familiar with the rules for operating gas appliances;
  • leave operating devices unattended;
  • it is unacceptable to load the gas pipeline (attach ropes to it for drying clothes).

It is strictly forbidden to independently search for the source of the leak. If you smell gas in the room, then the first step is to turn off the blue fuel supply and turn off all electrical appliances.

Urgently call a gas emergency gang or rescue service. Warn neighbors about the situation and leave the premises.

Requirements for the operation of a gas stove

Before using the gas stove, you should familiarize yourself with the rules of its safe operation.

The main conditions for the correct operation of a gas stove:

  • the room in which food is prepared must be well ventilated;
  • the operation of the stove must always be supervised (it is forbidden to leave an open flame unattended);
  • after the end of operation, be sure to shut off the gas supply;
  • before using the equipment, bring the flame source to the burner and only then turn on the blue fuel supply;
  • the equipment should be discontinued if: the flame is not visible in all openings, the color of the fire differs from bluish-violet, the flames are torn off.

The condition of the gas stove should be checked regularly (must be carried out by a gas service specialist). It is forbidden to repair the gas stove yourself.

It is forbidden to heat the room with a gas stove. It is also strictly forbidden to independently search for a leak with soapy water or open fire.

GOST 33998-2016 states that cleaning all parts of gas cooking equipment should be done as easily as possible. Disassembly tools are not permitted. After cleaning, all parts must be put back in place.

Thermostats, valves and fuses must be installed in such a way as to ensure ease of maintenance and adjustment. Some parts cannot be disassembled by the user (nozzles). For this work, you need to call a specialist.

Standards for the use of a gas column

A prerequisite for the installation of the equipment is the presence of an exhaust hood near the ceiling, which will ensure unhindered access of air to the room.

Conditions for correct use:

  • before using the device, you need to make sure that there is traction (check is carried out with a lighted match);
  • it is imperative to open the window first;
  • after the column is turned on, again you need to make sure that there is traction;
  • control the temperature of the water;
  • do not start the system unnecessarily;
  • it is forbidden to allow children and untrained people to access the equipment.

If there is insufficient thrust, it is prohibited to use the column. Do not use the equipment with reverse thrust.

Sealing of the room where the equipment is installed is inadmissible. The gas cock must not be left open if the pilot burner is not lit. It is necessary to monitor the flow heater with a burning burner.

Ensuring the safe operation of the gas boiler

The igniter can be ignited if there is a draft in the chimney. When it burns, open the tap on the main burner and light it. If the burner flame goes out, shut off the gas flow. Repeat all operations again. After turning on the burner, the draft must be re-checked.

Operation of a gas boiler with faulty automation is prohibited. To prevent carbon monoxide from entering the living space, you need to regularly check the channels of which can become clogged with soot.

How to use a gas boiler correctly is stipulated in, the observance of which is mandatory for all owners of autonomous heating systems.

The following conditions must be met:

  • during the operation of the equipment, the window must be open;
  • before igniting the boiler, you need to open the chimney damper;
  • check the draft before firing up;
  • check the chimney regularly (destruction of masonry, freezing and ingress of foreign objects can reduce draft).

Do not forget to prepare equipment in advance for work in the cold season. In winter, when sharp temperature fluctuations are frequent, you need to carefully monitor gas appliances in which a chimney is used to remove combustion products.

During snowfall, rain, fog, strong wind, the thrust may disappear or reverse thrust will appear, which leads to the ingress of carbon monoxide into the room and poisoning of its residents.

New rules for the use of gas in residential premises

All residents of apartment buildings are required to listen to instructions on safety measures when using gas equipment. The event is held after the conclusion of an agreement with representatives of GorGaz. Also, the briefing is repeated after each scheduled inspection.

Residents are obliged to provide GorGaz employees with access to the premises where the gas equipment is installed at any time of the day. Otherwise, you will have to pay a considerable fine. If there are no residents in the house or apartment for more than 24 hours, it is imperative to turn off the gas supply valve.

Residents are required to:

  • monitor the cleanliness of ventilation;
  • ventilate the room before starting cooking;
  • do not place flammable furniture close to the stove.

If there is a smell of gas in the room, immediately turn off the tap, open the windows and call the emergency service.

According to the requirements of the housing code, to prevent accidents, possible leaks and failure of gas equipment, technical services conduct regular checks. The homeowner is obliged to ensure that employees have unimpeded access to examine the condition of the devices.

Inspection standards have been established for the safe operation of gas equipment in residential buildings. Gas stoves should be checked every three years, boilers and water heaters once a year. Defective and outdated equipment must be replaced in a timely manner.

The tenants are notified in advance of the time for checking the equipment in writing. This deprives the homeowner of the opportunity to challenge the violations identified as a result of the inspection.

During the inspection, specialists must:

  • check the tightness of the fasteners at all joints;
  • make sure that there is no leakage in the places where the gas pipeline is connected to the gas cut-off point (if necessary, a liquid pressure gauge can be used);
  • make a visual inspection of the chimney and hoods in residential buildings;
  • check the quality of gas supply to stoves and water heaters;
  • if necessary, adjust the intensity of the blue fuel supply;
  • check the operation of automation and electronic devices.

In case of detection of serious violations by the service organization, the equipment and pipeline sections are repaired. If breakdowns and emergencies have occurred due to the fault of the owners, the gas supply may be interrupted.

Other possible reasons for gas supply shutdown:

  • the user independently carried out the installation of gas equipment (additional equipment);
  • upon detection of malfunctions (poor ventilation, lack of exhaust, insufficient gas concentration);
  • illegal connection to the gas supply network;
  • an emergency situation has arisen;
  • during the repair of gas communications or equipment;
  • in the absence of an agreement with the gas service;
  • the debt for the used blue fuel exceeds two billing periods;
  • the consumer does not transmit data on the actual volume of gas used and interferes with the work of the regulatory authorities;
  • equipment is used that is not specified in the contract.

20 days before disconnecting from the gas supply, the consumer must be informed by the gas service with which it is concluded. The notice must come in writing with a detailed explanation of the reasons.

Total gas cut-off per month for the purpose of repair work - 4 hours. If this condition is violated, for each extra hour the amount of payment for blue fuel should be reduced by 0.15%.

In the event of an emergency shutdown, the gas can be cut off without warning for a maximum of a day. Gas supply is made within 48 hours. If the gas is cut off to the subscriber for non-payment, the first notification is sent to him 40 days in advance, and the second 20 days before the shutdown.

Due to the fact that gas is a flammable combustible substance, increased requirements are put forward for the operation of gas appliances. According to the new rules, the responsibility for the condition of gas equipment and ventilation lies with the owners and tenants of residential premises.

Residents are obliged to provide GorGaz employees and emergency services access to the premises where the equipment is installed at any time. In the event of a gas leak, it is necessary to immediately shut off the fuel supply, open the window and call the emergency service. It is forbidden to repair leaks and equipment by yourself.

If you have already been instructed, a check took place in your home, share your experience in the comments. Household gas and its properties

Currently, household gas is widely used in everyday life. It can be used in gas stoves for cooking and in gas water heaters. Gas used for domestic purposes can be of two types: liquefied gas in cylinders and city main gas. Household gas has neither color nor smell, but in order to detect its leak, special substances with a specific smell are added to it.

Safe handling of gas appliances

A gas leak can lead to human poisoning and an explosion in the room. To prevent this, you must follow the safety rules when using household gas. Let's list the main ones: - to light the gas burner, first bring a lighted match, and then gently and carefully open the gas cock; - do not leave the switched on gas burners unattended; - make sure that the liquid heated on the gas stove does not flood the burner flame; - if you notice an extinguished burner, do not try to ignite it again - this may lead to an explosion. Turn off the gas tap, open the windows and ventilate the kitchen properly. Report the incident to an adult. The most ordinary gas stove in the kitchen can become a source of many troubles if you do not follow some precautions. Burning, the gas releases various toxic substances into the air. Therefore, while the gas is burning, keep the window or transom open, and be sure to close the kitchen door. Make sure that the flame above the burner is blue, without any admixture of yellow and red. Try to place kettles or pots with a wide bottom on a high stand, otherwise air access to the burner is reduced and the gas does not burn out completely. Gas is convenient and safe asen only with skillful and correct handling of gas appliances. It is necessary to constantly remember and follow the rules for using it: - do not leave switched on gas appliances unattended; - do not allow preschool children to use gas appliances, as well as persons who do not know how to handle these appliances. Keep your gas appliances clean and in good working order. During the period of freezing of the soil, the possibility of times burst of underground gas pipelines. Gas, leaving damaged areas, can spread over long distances and penetrate into basements, the first floors of even non-gasified buildings. When going down to basements, do not use open flames and electrical switches without making sure that there is no smell of gas. If you smell gas, immediately report it by phone 04. Before the arrival of the emergency vehicle, take safety measures: do not allow open flames and, if possible, ventilate the room. Be careful and careful! Do not neglect safety measures. Save gas. Do not let gas burners operate for a long time without cookware. Regulate the flame of gas burners. Reduce the gas to the minimum torch size after boiling water in the pan. With gas burners of different capacities, use the larger burner only when necessary. Prevent limescale build-up in kettles. Boiling the water for a long time will increase the scale build-up. Covering the dishes with lids while cooking, this technique saves 15% of gas.

What to do in the event of a gas leak?

Switch off the gas burners. Close the gas cock. Avoid any activity that causes sparks and increases the temperature in the room. Do not touch the electrical switches, this may also cause a spark. Provide intensive ventilation by opening all windows. Remove everyone present. Stop, if possible, the supply of r aza. Call the master at 04.
