For example, in my mechanism of the rod height of only 8 mm, it means that the thickness of the plywood blank should not exceed 4 mm, otherwise there is not enough space to spin the nut. If there are volumetric parts on the dial, you need to make sure that the arrows will not be cling.

1. Before you start making wall clock with your own hands, you need to decide where the number is 12. To do this, turn over the panel, insert the clockwork, outline the middle of the vertex of the mechanism (it will coincide with the middle of the cape) and carry out a perpendicular line. It is from here that the count will begin and the distance between the numbers will be marked (if they are planned).

2. We take a sheet of paper, supply the dial contour on it and draw the decor. It is useful in order to see, harmoniously looks like a composition before it is too late to change something. I re CRED on the paper contours of the leaves, then cut out and moved to the plywood blank using a pencil.

3. Color the workpiece in accordance with the decor. I used a white construction acrylic, an artistic acrylic and a color paste for a tinting.

4. When the paint is driving, screw the clock mechanism. It may have many details that can be used or ignore depending on the thickness of the dial. Usually, the assembly scheme is attached to the hourly mechanism, which I advise you to adhere to. We ride a rubber substrate on the rod and apply to the dial from the reverse side. The top (middle of the peels) should coincide with the pencil margin (see paragraph 1).

5. I turn over the workpiece with a puck and tighten the nut. Here we need pliers so that you can be tightened tightly.

6. We ride the arrows. By the way, the arrows I repainted from white to black. There are also two points here. First, on the arrows there may be a protective film that you need to remove. Secondly, the black art acrylic was not very good for metal, so I had to first challenge the arrows with a construction white acrylic, and then after drying it was black.

Before rolling, you need to make sure that all the arrows are straight. First we ride the hour, then minute. The second dresses the latter. They are rolled to easy click. It is important not to rearrange and not too diligent, so as not to break the gentle fasteners. Arrows should be strictly parallel to each other and do not touch, otherwise the clock simply will not go.

7. I exhibit all the arrows at 12 o'clock according to the mark, insert the battery and configure the correct time using a special wheel that can be found on the reverse side mechanism.

A few words about outdoor hours

Select a place for your watches

When choosing a place for your watches, the following should be taken into account:

1. For optimal work, your clock must be installed on a flat, sustainable surface.
2. Avoid setting the clock on the straight sunlight. The surface of the clock, which gets the most light, can burn or other defects may appear.
3. Avoid setting the clock next to radiators or air conditioners. Through air conditioners, dust always passes, as well as cold or hot air, so the clocks in the immediate vicinity are needed for their unmistakable work it is necessary to clean and lubricate more often.

Access to the mechanism

There are four different ways to access the clock mechanism. Choose a suitable method specifically for your clocks.

Removed lateral insert (wooden or glass)

It is important to wear cotton gloves or take a soft cloth when contact with copper elements.

Remove the protective film from the pendulum before hanging it.

Check the pendulum from the back. Both parts of the hook-fasteners of the pendulum must enter both holes-fastening of the pendulum holder. If this did not happen, you need to withdraw the pendulum.

Carefully install the pendulum on the pendulum holder. It has a small protrusion located at the top of the pendulum, which can be broken when the holder is rotated or sharp movements. Most models use 3 weights. Each weight must be installed correctly for the work of the clock. Each hiring is a sticker indicating its position (left, central, right).

Do not remove the foam, sweat weights on the cable. After 24 hours, remove the foam.

Make sure the cable is well wound on the pulley. The loops should freely hang below the pulley. Before hanging the weights, tighten the hook on the top, and the nut is on the bottom of the weight. Suspend every weight on the loop in the correct order.

Plant your watches using the key

Giri provide clock necessary for energy. In order for the clock to work continuously, you need to start the clock, raising the weights every seven or eight days.

The clockwork key is packaged separately, do not lose it.

1.Tore the clockwork in turn in each of the three holes located on the clock clock. Slowly turn it clockwise until you feel resistance. Do not worry that you can "reboot" the clock - a special mechanism will not allow this.

2. In the Watch factory, do not touch the weights. This will cause excessive voltage in the cable and can lead to overhearson on the coil for the cable and stop the clock.

3. If you plan to leave home more than a week, stop the pendulum before your return.

Attention:On some mechanisms, two outdoor weights that are responsible for the fight and the melody are not lowered when the clock is in a quiet mode or on automatic night disconnection. Even if the clock is set to battle mode, weights can descend unevenly. This is normal when one of the weights is slightly higher or lower. The clock will still work correctly.

Your clock with a plant based on the principle of weights

Most of the hours are used three weights. Each weight should be installed in the correct position to work properly. Each weight has a sticker indicating its position - left, central and right.

Giri ensure the work of the hourly battle (left weight), give energy for the course of hours (central weight) and for the operation of the melody (right weight). The clock will not work without a weight.

Before installing the Giri, make sure that cotton gloves can be put on you or you have a soft cloth at hand.

Attention:on some mechanisms, two external weights that are responsible for fighting and melody are not lowered when the clock is in a quiet mode or in the automatic night shutdown mode. Even if the clock is in the melody mode, the weights can descend unevenly. This is normal if one gyre is slightly higher or slightly lower than the other. The clock will work true.

Remember !!To work with copper weights, use gloves or soft fabric.

Your watch with a cylindrical battle mechanism

Unpacking cylindrical combat mechanisms

Carefully remove the hammers from corrugated paper to avoid damage to the strings attached to them.

Open the door on the left side of the clock. You will see a red screw on the left side of the mechanism. It is intended only for transportation and to protect the combat mechanism. Unscrew and save it in case you need to carry clock.

Installation of the cylinders of the battle

1. To make sure that you have cotton gloves or you have a soft fabric. This is very important when working with musical components.

2. Reflect the battle cylinders before hanging on a special holder.

3. Fight cylinders are hanging on the protrusions located on the back side of the holder plate.

4. Right from the longest cylinder, install all cylinders on holders, strictly starting on the left side. Taking one cylinder, place it in an hourly compartment through the front door. Then open the side door to lift and hang the cylinder on the holder. Make sure the cylinders do not come into contact with each other, and hang in parallel.

Running pendulum

1. After installing the pendulum, open the front door and take the pendulum hitch.

Installing the lunar disk

The lunar dial corresponds to the lunar month, and not calendar. The lunar month lasts 29 and ½ days. If the clock works constantly, the lunar dial will automatically follow the moon phases. If the clock is stopped, you will have to reinstall the lunar dial.

1. Using a soft glove or cloth, touch the dial on the dial and, slightly pressing, rotate the moon disk to the right (clockwise) until the center of the moon is at the mark "15" on the dial.

2. Operate in the calendar the last date of the full moon. Count the number of days, including the current day, from the last full moon.

Night mode

Troubleshooting

Although we do not advise you to repair the clock yourself, here are those situations that need to check before contact your seller or master. Do not try to make changes in which you are unsure.

If your clock does not go or stopped ...

1. Check, whether all packaging materials were removed, including tape, which is used to protect the pendulum screw during transportation. (The screw of the pendulum is located behind the mechanism.)

2. Check the clock location. They must stand smoothly and safely.

3. The cleanness of all time arrows is very important for the work of the clock. If your clock has a second arrow, see if it hurts the ring minute arrow. If so, then you need to carefully pull the second arrow as much as sufficient to free the space for it.

4.Tore the clock! Sometimes the pendulum is not routing enough to activate the rhythm of the clock.

5. Check if Giri weigh correctly. Check the bottom of each weight, whether they are correctly located.

6. Check whether the Giri is properly attached to the chains and to the pulley.

7. Check, whether all the Giri are correctly headed.

8. Check the lunar dial to make sure that it does not cause any restrictions. The dial spring is usually bronze, in the form of a long strip; It is attached to the stand on the lunar dial. If it is in front or rear, just pull it back and put it in place. The spring is located on the back side of the dial, inside the clock.

9. Check, did not slip by accidentally pulled from the cable, or the chain from the chain ring.

Your watch does not beat ...

1. For safety when transporting hammers are tape. Check if it was removed.

4. If the hour arrow does not match the battle, just smoothly turn the watch arrow forward or back to the desired hour. It won't hurt the clock.

6. If you just finished installing your watches, wait 1-2 hours. The mechanism is automatically synchronized.

7. Check, all the packaging material has been removed from the mechanism area.

If the pendulum does not swing straight

The pendulum must be parallel to the front side of the clock.

Remember: Time adjustment - this is your duty, not the responsibility of your seller or service center employees.

If your watch beat the wrong hour (synchronization) ...

Your watch was synchronized before shipping. You do not have to make adjustment if only the hour arrow moved by chance when setting time.

If the hourly fight and time do not coincide, you will have to adjust them. If, for example, the clock is shown 4:00, and you beat another number of times, then:

1. Do disconnect the battle.

2. Winter the watch (short) arrow clockwise or counterclockwise, as more convenient for you, slowly to the hour, which beat the clock. For example, if the clock beat only three times, move the time arrow smoothly to the three clock. You will notice that the hour arrow turns out regardless of the minute.

3. Turn the minute (long) arrow is slowly clock or counterclockwise, as more convenient for you, until the right time is established. Be careful not to hook the watch arrow when you turn the minute.

Remember:This is not an adjustment of time (lag or rush clock). This adjustment is only necessary if the clock beat an incorrect number once at a given hour.

If your watches beat incorrectly (adjustment of the minute arrows) ...

This adjustment is made if your watch starts to beat not exactly an hour, and two minutes before or after an hour.

1. When the clock starts to beat, stop the pendulum and remember the time.

2. With the help of tweezers carefully remove a small screw that holds a minute arrow in place by turning the screw against a clockwise arrow, at the same time hold the minute hand with your fingers near a small screw.

3. Take the arrow from the shooting axis by taking it with your fingers in the place where the arrow connects to the axis. Pull the arrow on yourself. 5.If arrow does not specify the right time, repeat items 2 or 3.

6. Take the arrow screw with the help of tweezers, but do not overdo it.

7. Put the pendulum.

8. Mount the time by moving only the minute arrow clockwise (counterclockwise) arrow until the right time is set.

If the fight is wrong

The tone of the battle is directly dependent on the location of the hammers. The hammer is a lever associated with the mechanism and the mechanism. These hammers fall and beat the appropriate cylinder. The hammers are adjusted and listened before shipping, but transportation and treatment may reflect on the disorder of the hammer.

Hammers are most often used in outdoor hours. They are flexible and made of copper. Hammers in a calm position cannot be further than 1.5 - 2mm from cylinders. In a calm position, they can produce a deaf sound only because the hammers remain on the cylinder and do not allow it to vibrate. To adjust, just pull the hammer back by taking it for the base and moving the slightly section so that the distance of 1.5 - 2mm has been achieved. Avoid bending cylinders.

Baby cylinders are made of copper and cannot be subject to adjustment. Hammers are installed at the factory and cannot be curved in any way. They can, however, be corrected in a calm position by turning the corresponding screw to achieve a quiet position in 1/16 "- 1/8" between the hammer and the cylinder.

Make sure all cylinders are placed on the holder correctly. If you are standing face to the clock, the longest cylinder must be located on the left, and the short one is right.

If the lunar dial / disk does not turn ...

The clockwork has a detail that contains the wheel to rotate the moon disk. Every 23 ½ hour wheel performs a complete turn, during this time the axis of this wheel promotes the lunar disk for one lunar day. When the lunar disk is located in the 6-hour "transition" period, the axis is occupied, and in this period it is impossible to manually change the position of the disk. To release the moon disk, rearrange the time until the disk is free, it will take 6 hours. This is not a malfunction, it is a matter of time.

If the lunar disk does not move several days and seems to be on the spot, then the most likely cause can be what spring cannot move from one tooth to another.
