Required materials and tools

The easiest way is to make a table with your own hands from MDF sheet or thick enough plywood. In this case, the thickness of the material should not be less than 35 mm. The lower disc, which serves as the basis for attaching the legs and connecting the structure with the table top, is cut from plywood 20-30 mm thick. This will be enough to securely fix all the elements together and not damage the tabletop. Transverse strips are cut from the same sheet.

The legs are made from a bar with a section of 12x5 cm. If you take a standard bar, the length of which is 3.5, then 4 legs of 76 cm each can be obtained from one blank. This size is considered optimal.

To process parts and mount the table, you will need the following tools:

an electric drill and a set of drills for woodworking;
jigsaw;
grinder or special drill attachment;
a set of hex keys of different sizes;
screwdrivers;
a set of sandpaper of different grain sizes;
paint brushes and foam roller.

For additional reliability, experts recommend that all attachment points and mounting assemblies be coated with carpentry glue or PVA. In this case, the fixed parts must be tightened with clamps and left until the adhesive is completely dry. And only then continue editing.

Assembling the round table

First, you need to cut out all the blanks for assembling the table. Experienced carpenters advise to pre-process each of the elements in 4 steps. First polish the wood surface, then varnish it. And after drying, repeat the operation.

The fact is that even after a very careful initial grinding, wood fibers can begin to bristle under the varnish layer. But the design will turn out to be more reliable and stable if you take confirms (Euro bolts).

But it is wiser to take not standard, but elongated mounts (0.5x18 mm). The legs are secured with 4 screws. You must first prepare the nests for confirmations. The dimensions of the worktop blanks do not match the parameters of the scheme. Once mounted on a plywood sheet, they will be trimmed to give the countertop a round shape.

Assemble the base base. Fasten the halves of the crosses to the central integral part of the leg, use glue and 3 Euro screws for each joint. Also with confirmations, glue the lower segments of the base (red).

You can purchase a pre-made countertop or use a part from an old table. In this case, you can install the circle on the finished base, align the position.
