Box for built-in oven and hob. Cabinet for a built-in oven: types, rules for selection and placement. Rules for choosing the material for making a kitchen cabinet for built-in appliances

The built-in oven is a very convenient model. Not everyone is happy with the option when the oven is located under the hob: especially when both units need to be turned on at the same time. The independent model can be placed anywhere and at any height.

Product dimensions

The production of ovens was started by foreign companies. This noticeably affected the dimensions of the product.

The standard width of models is considered to be 90–120 cm. This corresponds to the European concept of comfort.

  • However, the standards of Russian kitchen sets are completely different. Here, the cabinet for the oven and the hob has a width of 60 cm. In this case, the manufacturers of the devices gave way and began to produce models with the corresponding width. For example, the well-known manufacturer of household goods Ikea.

In order to ensure ease of installation, the width of the oven should be reduced by 1–2 cm.

  • Today you can find very miniature built-in models - with a width of 45 cm and a height of 60 cm. However, these are rather test samples. As a rule, even with a width of 45 cm, the height remains the standard - 85 cm.
  • The depth in most products is 50–55 cm.

The cabinet under the built-in oven is usually equipped with a drawer for storing baking trays, dishes and other things.

Materials and tools

A do-it-yourself oven cabinet is a very real task. There are no particular difficulties here. To make it you will need the following:

  • plywood or laminated chipboard 16–18 mm thick;
  • a worktop with a thickness of 28 mm or more;
  • legs;
  • furniture confirmations, dowels and screws;
  • guides;
  • electric drill;
  • joiner's glue.

Kitchen cabinet calculations

As a rule, the instructions for the oven contain data not only on the dimensions of the model itself, but also on the requirements for the installation niche. This should be used in the calculations.

The cabinet for the oven has dimensions equal to the parameters of the installation niche plus the thickness of the material used. In fact, it is a box with a double bottom - horizons 1 and 2 and a horizontal bar at the top - a body bar. The latter is required for the normal fastening of the hob to the worktop. In addition, this part maintains the distance between the sidewalls, which is also important.

First, you need to make calculations, then the following parts are cut out of the chipboard or MDF sheets:

  • sidewalls - the sum of the height of the niche, the thickness of the table top and the height of the legs - 2 pcs;
  • horizon - that is, the bottom, the dimensions are exactly equal to the parameters of the installation niche - depth and width - 2 pcs;
  • body strip - its length is equal to the width of the niche, and its own width does not exceed 100 mm.

The back wall of the drawer, as a rule, is not included in the detailing: it is made from fiberboard scraps. Usually its height does not exceed 100 mm.

Drawer parts are calculated using the residual method. This is easy to do:

  • the height of the facade is equal to the difference in the height of the kitchen cabinet, the height of the legs and the thickness of the first horizon. The facade does not cover it due to the peculiarities of the installation of the oven. Width corresponds to 60 cm minus 3 mm. As a rule, there is no handle here: to make it more convenient to use, a notch is made on the second horizon;
  • the side parts are equal in length to the depth of the cabinet minus the gaps, and in height - to the distance between the two horizons minus the gaps;
  • the length of the back wall takes into account the thickness of both sides and the thickness of the rails.

Chipboard or MDF can be cut to size in the workshop: using professional equipment, the pattern will take much less time, and accuracy is guaranteed. In addition, in most cases, parts are trimmed here - they close the ends with a melamine strip. Otherwise, the operation will have to be done by hand.

Assembling the product

The kitchen cabinet for the oven and the hob is assembled for confirmation or dowels. The fastening of the latter is duplicated with glue. Holes for them are drilled in advance.

Mounting on self-tapping screws is allowed.

  1. First you need to assemble the box itself - the sidewalls and horizontals.
  2. Then fix the housing strip by lowering it 10 mm from the edge of the sidewall.
  3. The legs must be attached to the bottom of the product with self-tapping screws.
  4. If it is decided to make a drawer, then, before installing the first horizon, guides are attached to the walls - hinged or telescopic.
  5. Install the back wall.
  6. Assemble the product and install it on the guides.

Kitchen with hob and oven with built-in fridge and tilting range hood

The arrangement of furniture and appliances in the kitchen is a rather complicated matter, especially if the square of the room is small. In this case, built-in appliances come to the rescue, for example, a hob or an oven. This design allows you to significantly save space, make the kitchen design varied and modern.

Pencil case with built-in oven in the composition of the kitchen

A convenient, modern and practical option for the kitchen is a kitchen set with a built-in hob and oven. Such devices are generally of a split design. The hob is built directly into the worktop. The oven requires a separate space and cannot be placed on the floor. To do this, you need an oven box.

Built-in oven under the hob, matched to the color of the kitchen interior

Its essence lies in the fact that instead of the usual cabinet in the kitchen unit, space is allocated for the oven. It is usually installed under the hob, but you can choose any suitable place.

Convenient placement of the built-in oven at a height for ease of use

The oven box is an indispensable element in the kitchen, if the unit itself is of a built-in type.

By giving preference to the built-in oven, you get the opportunity to diversify the design and furnishings of the kitchen. Unlike conventional ovens combined with a hob, these are a completely independent unit.

The location of the built-in cabinet separately from the hob in a convenient place and at a convenient height

In addition to the difference between the functions of the unit itself, there are several types of cabinets for the built-in oven. You can choose the parting placement option that best suits your kitchen's squaring, layout and design.

There are two main types of construction: a cabinet under the hob with a drawer, or placing it in a pencil case (a high cabinet with a special compartment and additional drawers). Each of these types has advantages and disadvantages. However, according to consumer reviews, placing the oven in a pencil case is much more convenient to use.

Advantages and disadvantages

Built-in oven for convenient and comfortable use in the kitchen

Let's take a closer look at the pros and cons of various types of oven boxes. To begin with, it is worth noting that the very design of a separate built-in oven has an advantage in ease of use, design, freedom of placement.

Kitchen with an original design with a built-in hob and oven

The location of the structure in the cabinet under the hob

Built-in oven in a classic arrangement - under the hob

- creation of a common surface for cooking;

- suitable for people of any height;

- keeping the look of a standard stove with an oven (for lovers of the classics).

- the need to constantly bend over during cooking;

- inconvenience when cleaning the oven;

- a high probability of damage to the electronic mechanism due to the ingress of a large amount of water from the stove on it during cooking.

Placing the oven in a pencil case cabinet also has advantages and disadvantages.

- location at chest level reduces stress on the back during work;

- ease of care due to location;

- the ability to choose the size for any height;

- gives the kitchen a new modern look.

Flaws

The only drawback of this design is that, being high enough from the floor, it requires additional reinforcement. When installing, make sure that the lower horizon is firmly set. Otherwise, the oven can collapse on the feet of the hostess during the cooking process.

Choosing an electric oven with dimensions for the box

Having decided to buy a built-in oven, considerable attention should be paid to the cabinet in which it will be located. You can purchase it along with the oven, however, they are often sold without the included box. In this case, you will need to select it yourself. What to look for when buying?

First of all, you need to know the exact measurements of the oven. The height and depth of the box should be 15-20mm more for normal air circulation. In this case, the difference should not be greater, otherwise difficulties will arise during mounting and installation.

Installing and connecting the electric oven

Take care of the electrical wiring in advance. At the place where the oven is installed, a wire outlet must be provided in advance, because this type of construction does not have a plug, but requires direct connection to the mains.

When choosing a box, make sure that there are strips that strengthen the horizon.

Non-standard placement of equipment in the corner, in a custom-made table

In the absence of a suitable box on sale, the question arises whether to make furniture to order, or to design everything with your own hands. In this case, it is better to entrust the matter to a professional. This is especially true for the installation of the cabinet and the oven itself, since the skills of an electrician are still required here.

Necessary tools for making a box with your own hands

However, if you have experience in making furniture with your own hands, making a box for an oven will not be a problem. To do this, you need to make measurements of the electrical appliance and, in accordance with the data obtained, a drawing of the future product. Further, having the necessary tools (saw, screwdriver, electric drill, wood glue) and materials (chipboard, countertop, dowels, furniture confirmations, screws, guides, legs for the box), you can easily make a cabinet for the built-in oven with your own hands.

When planning the interior of the kitchen, they take into account not only the technical features of the room and its area. It is necessary to organically fit furniture and equipment into the overall stylistic picture of the house. The appliances built into the kitchen in the headset will help to make a small space of a small room ergonomic and comfortable. The possibilities of embedding equipment and small appliances in spacious rooms are not limited: even the chef of a Moscow restaurant will envy a technically perfect kitchen.

Built-in kitchen appliances functionally do not differ from classic models installed separately. Additional functions may be added to the standard functions by the manufacturer. The built-in appliances are fundamentally different only in size, the absence of external decorative side and rear panels, equipment for fixing inside the headsets.

Features of embedded technology: advantages and disadvantages of using

Can built-in kitchen appliances really save space in tight spaces? In fact, the dimensions of the devices range from extremely compact to well beyond standard dimensions. Advantages:

  • Save space by separating hobs and ovens.

Ergonomic compact space

  • Aesthetics and solidity of the kitchen interior.
  • Huge selection of bezel design options.

Solutions for every style

  • Compact models are suitable for installation in non-standard headsets with reduced depth.

There is only one drawback of technology: after installation, it is no longer possible to change the configuration and arrangement of equipment and furniture. The cabinet for built-in appliances in the kitchen will have to be completely redone, including the replacement of the facade.

Front panels to match the furniture facade

Naturally, the fees for individuality are high. A set of built-in cooking appliances will cost more than a gas or electric stove with a similar set of functions.

Large and small kitchen appliances: what can be built into a set

The number of devices that can be hidden behind furniture facades depends only on the equipment budget and the size of the room. Most popular equipment:

  • A hob whose dimensions are determined by the number of cooking zones.
  • Oven installed under the hob or in a tall cabinet.
  • A hood disguised as a top tier cabinet.

Classic set of built-in appliances

In tiny kitchens, you can free up another meter of space if, instead of a classic refrigerator, you integrate 2 separate refrigerating chambers into the set: a freezer and a storage area with a temperature of about 0 ° C.

An oven and a microwave can be built into the cupboard for kitchen appliances at the same time - you don't have to look for a place for the microwave on the countertop.

Small kitchen appliance manufacturers offer built-in models for all popular appliances. Inside the drawers, behind the facades, in the cupboards, bread makers, coffee machines, mixers and combines find their place.

How to choose the best set: mini or maxi set

Before heading to the store, be clear about your own technical needs. After talking with managers, you will want to buy a lot of unnecessary things. Agree, there is no point in fixing equipment inside the furniture that is used every few months.

Large kitchens have more options for installing appliances

Select the dimensions and functionality of the selected equipment based on the standard list of dishes that are prepared regularly. Determine the volume of the oven, internal refrigerator, taking into account the number of family members: why overpay for a spacious freezer that will be half empty? Remember that cupboards for kitchen appliances take up useful space from storage drawers.

The minimum set of equipment for compact kitchens in apartments:

  • Oven and hob.
  • Microwave.
  • Refrigerator.

Disguised dishwasher

If the size of the room allows, it is advisable to install a dishwasher, especially if a family of 3-4 people regularly gathers at the table. A useful device that is installed in a sink is a waste shredder. In addition to disposing of food leftovers that fall into the sink, the equipment will save the kitchen from the appearance of an unpleasant odor from the siphon.

In small city apartments, it is often necessary to install a washing machine in the kitchen - built-in models are ideal.

A washing machine can also be found in a cramped kitchen

Coffee lovers will be happy to complement the set with a built-in espresso and latte machine: the coffee maker does not take up much space.

Ovens for kitchen sets: selection and installation

The first task is to determine how and at what points the oven and hob will be installed. There are independent products that can be installed separately and dependent. In dependent sets, the equipment control unit is located on the front panel of the hob. The most popular and convenient option is an independent set of a gas hob and an electric oven.

How it works: types of ovens

Ovens installed in cabinets for built-in kitchen appliances are produced in 2 types - gas and electric. The cost of gas is lower than electric. Saving is not worth it. An oven with an electric heater is more convenient: the temperature remains stable, does not deviate from the set value, the entire inner surface heats up evenly, without "cold" areas. Setting up a gas oven to work perfectly is almost impossible.

Gas cabinet with mechanical adjustment

The sides of the equipment are carefully insulated to protect the adjacent surfaces from overheating. Pay attention to the front surface and the way the door is opened. The standard version is a hinged door. It is much more convenient to use an oven with a sliding door: together with the door, a baking sheet is removed from the chamber, and it is impossible to burn your hand when removing baked goods from the hot cabinet.

The surface of the front door must be made of heat-resistant laminated glass - the temperature of the front panel during cabinet operation cannot exceed 40 ° C. The design options are numerous.

In classic kitchens, enamel surfaces with transparent glass and decor, copper fittings, and ceramic rotary retro handles look great. A modern interior will be decorated with an oven with black glass on the door or a door made of textured metal with dark glass and touch controls.

Design for classic and retro kitchens

Functionality and dimensions: the complexity of the choice

The size of the oven can be adjusted individually. The depth of the devices varies from 55 to 60 cm - this is the standard depth of the lower tier of the headset. Super compact models are produced with a depth of 50 cm.

The width and height of standard ovens is 60 cm. For small kitchens and low cabinets, choose models with a height of 45 cm. Despite the loss of internal volume, a standard wide baking sheet is included in the oven, and two dishes are rarely cooked at the same time.

For non-standard and space-limited rooms, manufacturers offer models with a width of 45 cm and a classic height of 60 cm. In such cabinets, you can bake in two tiers on narrow baking sheets. Depending on the dimensions of the built-in oven, the internal volume can be from 35 to 65 liters.

Be sure to think over the layout before choosing an appliance: built-in ovens in standard sizes are much cheaper.

Oven sizes: all available options

The functional advantages of electric ovens are a large number of programmable operating modes. Even budget devices have at least 5-8 factory programs. In addition to the baking modes, there are programs for grilling, convection, drying and preparation of complex dishes.

A useful feature is the self-cleaning of the inner chamber. These ovens do not need to be washed. Cleaning is carried out according to the catalytic or pyrolytic principle.

Installation: calculation of the tie-in location and installation

Installing a built-in oven begins with choosing a place for installation. If an independent set of appliances is chosen, it is better to build the oven at a higher height from the floor. In this case, you do not have to bend down to check the readiness of the dish or get out the pastries.

At what height should the oven be installed? The choice of mounting height depends on the height of the hostess. It is necessary to choose an installation location so that you do not have to raise your hands above chest level to remove the baking sheet. The best option is to build the appliances into a tall pencil case at a height of 40 to 80 cm above the floor level.

Before installing the oven, it is necessary to check the compliance of the wiring and sockets with the increased load conditions. The check should be done by an electrician: some models with a power of more than 3.5 kW require connection through a wire with an increased cross-sectional area. Sockets for connecting equipment are installed with mandatory grounding. Additionally, they mount automation for emergency shutdown of the current supply.

Installation and connection diagram

The installation of equipment in the closet is carried out by specialists who assemble the headset. The oven is installed in a niche. Manufacturers must indicate in the instructions the minimum gaps between the oven panels and the walls of the niche - free space is necessary for air circulation.

The cabinet is fixed in a niche with factory fasteners.

It is undesirable to carry out the installation with your own hands. In the event that the equipment fails due to incorrect connection, use of inappropriate wiring, the warranty does not apply.

Hobs for compact and large kitchens

A real salvation for small kitchens and decoration for spacious kitchen-dining rooms are hobs. Surface sizes - from compact, for 2 burners, to large hobs for 6 - 8 burners.

Types of heating elements for built-in panels

The main types of panels:

  • Gas.
  • Electrical.
  • Combined.

Gas panels are connected to the gas outlet. The number of burners is from two. An excellent choice for small kitchens where food is prepared for 1 - 2 people. The minimum width is only 28 cm. These narrow slabs are suitable for custom-made headsets with reduced depth and length. Alternatively, you can build in 2 hobs in series with minimum dimensions - the number of hobs will double.

Narrow glass ceramic hob with gas burners

The cost of panels with gas burners depends on the materials of the grate, burners and covering. Saving is not worth it. Choose devices with massive cast iron or sturdy steel grates. Thin rods of a budget lattice are deformed in a few months, and it is difficult to buy a lattice for a non-standard stove separately. Most gas surfaces are covered with a decorative enamel layer. Among the popular models are stainless steel metal panels.

Non-standard shaped electrical panel with touch control

Electric cookers are available in more design options. The top panel can be made of tempered glass or glass ceramics. The advantage of glass surfaces is a flawless appearance and ease of cleaning.

Features of electrical panels:

  1. It is necessary to use cookware with a perfectly flat bottom.
  1. The surface must be protected from impacts and falling of sharp objects.
  1. Liquid spilled on the panel must be removed immediately - sugar leaves indelible marks on the surface of glass and glass ceramics.

The induction hob always stays cold

The most expensive and modern are induction hobs. When the heating is on, the surface of the panel remains cold, and only the dishes are heated. True, for cooking on such a stove, you will have to use special dishes.

The standard electrical panels are also equipped with zone heating. The surface heats up only along the radius of the heating element, the rest of the panel area remains cold.

Basic installation rules

Installing gas or electric hobs begins with sizing. The standard table top is 60 cm wide. Almost any model can be built by hand.

Manufacturers complete the equipment with a template-stencil for marking the surface for inset. It is enough to circle the contour with a marker. You can cut a hole in a chipboard or MDF plate with a jigsaw.

The gas panel is connected to the gas outlet. The use of flexible gas pipes is allowed. The joints must be sealed with sealing tape and checked for gas leaks.

Electrical panels are connected to the mains. Depending on the power, select a wire with the optimal cross-section. Use grounded sockets.

After checking the connection, you can fix the panel in the worktop. Additionally, it is recommended to strengthen the fixation with a sealant.

Refrigeration technology: is it worth hiding the freezer in the closet

The choice of refrigeration equipment is huge. Solo models on the market can be matched to any interior and room size. For small kitchens, choose a built-in refrigerator in the kitchen unit. There is only one limitation associated with the installation technology: first, the technique is chosen, and furniture is made by its size. Why is that? There are 2 types of built-in refrigeration equipment:

  1. Fully recessed.
  1. Partially built-in.

With partial installation, the side and rear panels are hidden in a niche, and the doors are left open. A refrigerator with standard dimensions and heights up to 2.1 m can be built in. This solution is suitable for medium and spacious rooms.

In small kitchens, space is often limited: you have to install a freezer and refrigerator separately. Fully built-in appliances are invisible: the doors are hidden behind the front of the headset. How to integrate a compact refrigerator into a kitchen set? Craftsmen calculate the size of the niche with millimeter precision. Refrigerator doors are equipped with guides that are attached to the inner surface of the cabinet door. When you open the cabinet, the refrigerator also opens.

Compact technology under the worktop

The advantages of built-in technology:

  • The refrigerator and freezer can be installed in different places.
  • Compact models are ideal for small urban kitchens.
  • A monolithic surface of the headset is created, which visually enlarges the room.

Partially built-in two-door refrigerator

Built-in microwave ovens for cabinets

The standard size of a microwave oven is unified with the dimensions of ovens for embedding in kitchen cabinets. The volume of classic models ranges from 28 liters. Dimensions:

  • The standard for the height of the microwave is 45 cm.
  • Width - 60 cm.
  • Depth - up to 50 cm.

Mounting the standard model above the oven

Standardized dimensions allow you to install the oven and microwave in one cabinet, placing the appliances vertically. The disadvantage of such a mounting scheme is the need for an accurate calculation of the mounting height. The oven is installed lower, at a height of 30-40 cm from the floor, above it is a microwave oven. Be sure to make sure that the height of the microwave installation allows you to get the plate without raising your hands.

Installation above a worktop in a wall cabinet

The functionality of different models differs dramatically. To the basic functions - heating and defrosting - manufacturers add baking, convection, grill modes. Does it make sense to pay extra for functionality that is already in the oven? Definitely not. Models with an extended set of operating modes are useful for those who decide not to install a full-fledged oven. In this case, it is better to choose a product with an oversized chamber. The maximum internal volume is up to 40 liters.

An important point: when choosing a technique, focus on the average price category. It is impractical to save money by buying equipment from unknown manufacturers. In addition to the fact that the equipment will have to be dismantled in order to take it to the repair, it may turn out that it is impossible to buy replacement parts.

Pay attention to the warranty period - the longer the free service period, the more reliable the equipment. Large manufacturers usually have representative offices and service centers in all cities. This means that you can find the part and carry out the repair as quickly as possible.

The sequence of work when replacing furniture and appliances: first choose a set of appliances, and only after that order a set with wardrobes. Be sure to give the masters instructions and technical data sheets of devices. Do not experiment with self-installation of electrical equipment - specialists will do everything much better and faster.

For every housewife, the kitchen is a special place in an apartment or house. Culinary delights are brought to life in the kitchen, so it is very important that it is practical and convenient. When choosing a headset, we rarely think about it. Most often we are interested in the aesthetic side. But in vain. to be comfortable and multifunctional, and only then will you want to cook and spend most of your time on it. for the kitchen looks monolithic with the interior.

Today they are very popular. This concept is understood as capable of organically accommodating all household appliances. In other words, the kitchen is located in specially designated places in the headset, which gives the impression of being built-in. It does not stand out from the general level due to integration. Thanks to this, the kitchen becomes more convenient and the space increases.

Characteristic

Built-in kitchens are popularly called architectural. They look attractive and unobtrusive. Working in such a kitchen does not create a feeling of "excess" of appliances, as they are organically built into the main set.

Headsets of various configurations are on sale today. They differ in design, color and instrument set. But regardless of this, each headset has:

  1. Built-in oven.
  2. Refrigerator.
  3. Plate.
  4. Dish washing machine.
  5. Hood.

You can hide any equipment in the headset

This minimal set is indispensable in the kitchen. But this is not enough for many, so they additionally build in the following technique:

  • Food processor.
  • Built-in microwave.
  • Deep fat.
  • Coffee making machine.
  • Chest.
  • Toaster.

This is not a definitive list. The number of built-in appliances is not limited. It all depends on the wishes of the person and his needs.

For the kitchen, it is placed throughout the headset. Refrigerator, washing machine and other heavy equipment are located in the bottom row. And items such as a built-in microwave oven, TV or coffee maker can be placed on top shelves. Placement depends on the weight of the item and the need to use it.

Built-in kitchen appliances allow you to free up space and use space rationally. She looks sleek and stylish.

And countertops. The misconception that the built-in kitchen is not functional. If desired, pull-out tables that serve as work surfaces, built-in ovens, cabinets and shelves fit into such a set.

Varieties of built-in headsets

The corner option will save space and will be very practical

The good thing about an architectural kitchen is that the built-in kitchen appliances are not "striking". Such kitchens are convenient both in small spaces and in large rooms. Depending on the area, the type of headset is also selected:

  1. Angular.
  2. Single row.
  3. Double row.
  4. Rounded.

Corner set looks organic in combined kitchens - living rooms. But they are also suitable for small spaces. In such designs, cupboards are placed in the corner zone at the top, and the sink is at the bottom. Basic kitchen appliances are placed on either side for symmetry.

Single row headsets are convenient for large spaces. This kitchen set with built-in appliances allows you to expand the dining area. The sink is located in the middle of the structure, the refrigerator and the cabinet for the built-in oven are on the sides. These two objects cannot be placed side by side. During operation, they interfere with each other: the oven emits heat, so the refrigerator works harder and vice versa.

In double-row sets, the freezer or refrigerator is placed parallel to the sink and the hob.

A rounded headset is considered the most comfortable. But in order for this to be so, it is worth remembering that the rear panel of the structure must be more than 2.5 m, and the side panels must be at least 1.5 m.

Rounded stylish design can be combined in any interior

An original design solution - a headset with an "island". An "island" refers to an object that serves as a work or dining place. Such kitchens are often installed in large rooms for the purpose of zoning the space. An “island” is a design demarcation element that helps to divide the space into zones. Often the bar serves as an "island". Many models of "islands" provide for the presence of an additional pull-out table top for cutting food. If necessary, the table top slides in and is invisible to the eye. Such "islands" easily accommodate built-in coffee makers, toasters and other small household appliances.

Disadvantages and advantages

The advantages of built-in furniture:

  1. One complete set. There are no gaps and gaps between the construction items.
  2. Replacing a standard gas or electric stove with a hob. This is a huge plus. Not everyone uses ovens, so this space is used as desired.
  3. Design solution. Built-in furniture is made to order. Therefore, it will clearly fit into the parameters and design of the room. Correctly selected built-in appliances in the kitchen complement the style of the interior.
  4. Attractive appearance. Appliances and furniture located on the same level look perfect.
  5. Convenience. This applies to both cooking and cleaning or washing furniture. Dirt does not get into the cracks, you do not have to lift furniture under the built-in appliances for cleaning the floor, move the microwave and much more.
  6. The kitchen for built-in appliances is ergonomic. The space not cluttered with household appliances allows you to cook more conveniently and calmly. Rational placement of equipment saves time.

Household appliances and furniture - an organic whole

In order to avoid disappointment regarding such a headset, all the details of placement and layout are thought out in advance, because then they cannot be changed.

Flaws:

  1. Moving a household appliance to another place will not work if the desire arises. This will leave empty space in the furniture.
  2. These types of headsets and built-in appliances are expensive. Their cost is higher than ordinary kitchen furniture, so not everyone can afford to buy them.
  3. Built-in kitchen furniture is difficult to repair. If one of the structures breaks down, you will have to untwist half of the headset to replace it. And to replace broken equipment, you will have to unscrew the built-in kitchen tables and shelves.
  4. Difficulty in replacing a similar item of construction. In the event of a breakdown of the "part" of the furniture, you will have to replace it with a similar part. The replacement will have to be made to order based on the design parameters.

Buying built-in furniture

There are two options for becoming the owner of a built-in headset:

  1. Order the manufacture of premises and wishes.
  2. Buy a standard headset.

An order or a ready-made version - it's up to you

If everything is clear with custom-made furniture, then when buying a standard headset, we pay attention to:

  • There is no need to buy furniture and household appliances separately. The latter may not fit in size. Before choosing, we measure the parameters of equipment and compare them with niches in furniture.
  • We determine the necessary household appliances.
  • Choose devices according to the design of the headset. Multi-colored appliances and textured set do not look very harmonious, so it is advisable to select devices in one color scheme.

When making custom-made furniture, it is worth considering not only the parameters of the room, but also other aspects. Here are some tips to help you design your built-in furniture correctly.

  1. An additional worktop is installed between the hob and the refrigerator.
  2. For convenience, a microwave and an oven are installed in the upper cabinets, and a washing machine in the lower ones.
  3. The place for the oven is located at eye level.

When choosing a headset, we take into account the number of people living in the family and the expected processes. Clearly define the intended purpose of each of the household appliances.

Conclusion

It is not worth purchasing a "ready-made" built-in kitchen. It's better to order it. So a person will have the opportunity to determine the size of the future headset, choose a color and design, select equipment and harmoniously combine the decoration of the room with built-in furniture.

The joint integration of kitchen furniture and appliances is not easy, especially with small areas in houses built in the last century. It has become fashionable and allows us to solve two complex problems: to save volume and to decorate the kitchen according to your own taste. Manufacturers offer a large selection of devices, which makes it possible to create a unique combination in style and functionality. Commercial kitchen sets can have a place for a built-in hob and a separate cabinet for an oven or a module that combines both elements. But what is an induction hob and how to choose it for yourself and your kitchen. can see

Varieties of cabinets for the hob and oven

The oven box is an indispensable element in the kitchen if the oven is a built-in type. It can be installed anywhere.

Oven cabinets and cases

There are two design options for placing the oven:

Each of these types has advantages and disadvantages.

A box under the hob is a classic option.

The positive aspects of this placement:

  • Cooking food is concentrated in one place, which facilitates the process of caring for the devices, and saves the cook's time and energy.
  • The appearance of a standard kitchen is preserved with the original design of the hob and oven.
  • Suitable for people of all sizes.

Negative sides of combination:

  • Oven cooking will require constant bending.
  • It is inconvenient to take out a hot baking sheet or roasting pan.
  • The inner surface is washed bent.
  • Water ingress from the stove to the electronic control system.

When placed in a pencil case, the plus will be:

  • the ability to cook and wash the oven without tilting;
  • selection of the location of the unit according to the growth of the cook;
  • creation of modern kitchen design.

The disadvantage may be the fragility of the structure on which the oven is supplied, the weight of which can be more than 30-40 kg.

But what is the difference between an induction hob and an electric hob and which one should you choose is indicated

On-site installation video shows:

The issue with a wardrobe or cabinet for built-in appliances can be solved in 4 ways:

  1. buy complete with oven or hob;
  2. purchase as a separate element of the kitchen set;
  3. order at a furniture company;
  4. do it yourself.

In the first case, this does not happen often: usually built-in appliances are sold without a box or countertop.

When purchasing furniture, you need to pay attention to the following point: the dimensions of the box should exceed the parameters of the oven by no more than 15-20 mm.

This is a strict limitation that must be observed, otherwise problems will arise during operation or when installing the oven:

  1. with a smaller gap between the walls of the box and the oven, there will be no air circulation, which will lead to overheating of the device;
  2. with a larger gap, installation problems will arise.

When custom made, any option can be envisaged, including corner placement. Entrusting the job to a professional is preferable than doing it yourself, since with all the simplicity of the design, installing the box and connecting requires the knowledge and experience of an electrician.

How to choose

Built-in hobs and ovens are sold as sets or separately.

For this reason, hobs are divided into dependent and independent:

  • for dependent surfaces sold with the oven, the control buttons are located on the oven door;
  • for independent ones, the control is located on its surface.

Built-in ovens are of the following standard sizes:

  • width 60, 90, 45 cm;
  • height 45, 55 - 60 cm;
  • depth 50 - 55 cm.

The design of the module takes into account the dimensions of the hob: the distance to the wall or other vertical surfaces must be at least 50 mm for air circulation so as not to cause overheating. The curbstone for the hob and oven can be with a drawer at the top or at the bottom.

The video shows how to make the right choice:

Do not mount the stove over an oven without ventilation.

The installation of the hob must have a perfectly flat surface so as not to disrupt its performance.

Connecting the hob to the electrical wiring requires professional knowledge, since the cross-section of the connection wire is calculated independently, depending on the power of the stove.

The electrical wiring must be protected, a switch must be installed to turn off the stove in an emergency state.

When installing a built-in oven, the following rules must be observed:

  • the room must be dry;
  • have a good
  • the location of the oven should provide easy access to the controls.

In the design of the box, it is necessary to take into account the width, depth of the oven and the size of the gap for the lower (upper) drawer.

If there is a back wall in the oven box, a hole must be cut in it for the electrical wires. Wiring must match the capacity of the appliance.

When installing a gas oven, you need to connect the main line to the hose from the oven.

The connection must be made by a specialist.

After placing the oven in the box, it is necessary to adjust its position vertically and horizontally and fix it.
