If you want to try to do something with your own hands, but you have little experience, it is advisable to start with the easiest ideas. Uncomplicated crafts will help improve work skills with various materials and tools. In this article we will tell how to make a suspended table with their own hands. The project is extremely simple, you will need a minimum of materials and tools, and cash investments are practically not required.

Materials and tools for the manufacture of the suspended table:

• cutting board
• wire or thin cable in braid
• crimp rings (when choosing, focus on the cable diameter)
• pincers
• screw with hook

How to make a hanging table

With the help of ticks or chisel, harvest two identical cuts of the cable or steel wire in the braid.

Follow and drill 4 holes in a cutting board. Holes should be located opposite each other, as shown in the photo.

Cut the skin segment of the same size and shape as a cutting board.

Today we will try to make something from the chain. In fact, from the chain you can make a lot of things, starting from bringing the dog to the booth and ending with some works of art. We will take something medium and produce an original chair that is quite a work of art.

Looking in advance the author wants to say that I did not think that this process could delay so much. And he was dragged in connection with welding work, and why, you will understand everything yourself later.
Today we will need a chain, a lot of chains. Of course not 100 meters, but 5 meters of 8 mm chain accurately. And first of all, it is necessary to burn something like a conductor, which will keep our chain in a stretched state. For this, the bar is perfect, which remained at the master after the manufacturer of the workbench. You will also need a pair of self-tapping.

The first segments that we need to cook should be 75 cm long, and their total number should be 4 pieces. The template is ready, go to the welds.

And at this stage, the first problems began. It seems that everyone pursued, but in the end it turns out like this:

The author of course a beginner welder, but that the links are welded through one thing, it is just a joke of some if honestly. With grief in half, tapping one side of the chain, turn the chain, fix it and cook on the other side. Of course, it is possible for each link chain to weld huge pieces of metal so that the chain probably wrapped in good, but since we need aesthetics, the links do not grow strongly, just catching slightly, but still that it turned out to be firmly, because of this, it turned out.
He welded all the links into the desired length, the remaining part of the chain is cut off with the help of a grinder.
And from monotonous and tedious work, the author entertained himself so, allowed a wave around the chain:

Next, we will need 8 blanks of 30 cm. In fact, with the 30th centimeters, there was a bust, would have been enough for 25th, but once he saw and welded, then we will use what was done.

Whenever during the welding works, the author tried to configure the camera so that it was visible directly welding seams and at the end it was almost possible.
He welded all 8 segments, be sure to beat the slag. On those 75 centimeter segments, too, by the way, it was necessary to beat off the slag.

We take the first two blanks, put them in parallel to each other and one workpiece put it so that it turns out the beech "P". And of course, all this is welded.

At these moments before welding, be sure to exhibit an even angle, well, at least approximately, since the chain is not perfectly smooth.
From the top of the P-shaped design, we measure 50 cm and weld the crossbar. And, by the way, here the master was also mistaken. It was necessary to make at least 10 centimeters higher and it would be more convenient.

Next to the P-shaped design, we weld the vertical rack and necessarily check the evenness of the angle, because the future quality of our product will depend on it.

The next day, the master finished collecting all this design and turned out about it:

One leg rang, it means you need to think something. The author lined her leg and tried to spend another test.

In principle, relatively stable. Such weight keeps, but more, probably, will not pull. The master made a couple of exercises and began to think about how to be further, because the design had to be strengthened. The most correct decision was to cook another long chain and cut 9 stars so that in the end we had 8 segments. These 8 segments put in the stretch of the lower legs, they should have given the stiffness design.

Next, go to the woods. Take the tabletop that remained from the author from the manufacture of the lamp and measure the square with a side of 40 cm. Press all the clamps to the workbench and scream with the jigsaw.

We heat the edges of the sandpaper and immediately install a tabletop on the chain design and check the smooth product so that no nuances do not appear.

Everything turned out to be smoothly, but it was not easy, I had to screw up a couple of chains links to really so that everything was exactly.
Now we take a platband, also remaining from one of the previous author's projects, and drink 4 segments at an angle of 45 degrees.
Pre-all the design link clamps to understand where what kind of gap is obtained. To fasten the worktop and the platband as always with the help of glue and screws. Therefore, we apply a strip of glue and press the platband to the worktop, we deplorable 3 holes and twist 3 screws.

Unfortunately, to cut the angles perfectly did not work out, because, as you can see, the stuslo goes into the spread. Therefore, in order to somehow more or less correct this joint, with glue, we interfere with the sawdust and this composition of the resulting gaps.

Of course, it turned out with so-so quality, but I think it will go for the garage. The next day, the master Skashchyril remnants of the adhesive and decided to work out aesthetics aesthetic.

As you can see, the platband from the plant has unpleasant artifacts, which is not very good paint.

Therefore, I confuse a little to remove them. To do this, we will need a miracle of Chinese engineering here in this plastic box.

Having treated all the edges, the author decided to engrave. The master decided to sign their homemakers to his surname. Perhaps somewhat immodestly, but let it be so. Special cutters for engraving certainly did not turn out, but he decided to do it with the help of the drill.

Surprisingly, the drill bundled with the dremel coped with this task. Of course it turned out not perfectly smoothly, but for the garage style just right. Remove burrs and add even the letters like this nozzle:

This subject of the situation is not very functional due to the characteristics of its design, but there are ways to increase its capabilities using simple design solutions.

Features

The main difference of such tables from ordinary will be their constructive. The hanging surface does not relieve the floor and there are no legs in such products. The load falls on the chains that perform the role of suspension fasteners. The general view of such furniture is unusual and attracts attention precisely the lack of familiar legs.

Due to the fact that the plane is suspended to overlapping on chains, it can swing and move on the parties. This does not allow fully useful to use this piece of furniture on direct purpose - dining at such a table or use it as a working surface is not very good. There is always a risk to overturn everything to the floor when swinging the table top.

Using one of these techniques, you can significantly increase the strength of the entire design and eliminate the possibility of tipping the fact that it will lie on it. At the same time, there are different ways to solve the problem - from simple, using support, up to the most difficult in implementations, as the suspension links are welded with each other. It matters in cases where everything is collected personally, and not being made to order.
