Methods for imitation of marble and granite tiles. Imitation of the surface of natural stones on products in decoupage and other creativity. The main advantages of artificial marble

Products that imitate natural stones have high strength, resistant to chemicals, environmental friendliness, impaired and heat resistance, as well as other advantages. The artificial marble is made of concrete, plaster and polyester resin and is applied not only for lining houses, but also in the manufacture of tabletops, stairs, windowsills, fountains and many others.

To make an artificial marble with your own hands, it is necessary to determine the technology of its production.

Martium marble

As the basis for this material, polyester resin is used and any mineral filler (marble crumb, crushed white quartz and other finely dispersed components). The latter allow plates stylized under granite, malachite, yashma and onyx.

For the manufacture of injection molding artificial marble at home, you will need to prepare a solution:

  1. Polymer concrete. To do this, it is necessary to mix 20-25% polyester resin with 75-80% of the integral neutral mineral.
  2. Butakryl. In this case, instead of the resin, AST-T and Butakryl is used in equal proportion, after which 50% of quartz sand or crushed stone is added to the mixture.

It will also be necessary to prepare river sand, pigment, gelkout and plasticizer. The production of artificial marble from the resin includes the following steps:

  1. Lubricate with a gelkutyt matrix for future artificial stone and give shape to dry.
  2. Prepare the solution one of the methods described above.
  3. Put the liquid solution into the matrix and remove it excess.
  4. Cover the shape of the film, and wait 10 hours.
  5. Pull out the finished artificial stone from the form and leave it outdoors for a while.

The hardened stone can be additionally polished or left without mechanical processing.

Despite the simplicity of the manufacture of such artificial raw materials, the injection molding method is distinguished by a high cost, therefore it makes sense to consider other methods of creating stones.

Artificial marble from the gypsum is a gypsum mass, a mixture of water and glue, which is grossing the appearance of a mirror gloss. Such "toning" allows you to imitate such natural minerals as Malachite and Lapis-lapis.

For the production of this artificial marble, expensive materials will not be required. It is possible to prepare it as follows:

  1. Check in water dry gypsum and carpentry glue.
  2. Fill into the mixture melted resin.
  3. Stir the composition and add pigment to it.
  4. Stir the mixture again until natural intersions and divorces appear in it.

Useful! If you want to get a natural product, then it is necessary to mix 200 g of white humilks, 1 kg of alcohol (technical) and 50 g of gypsum. To get a coffee tint, use Orange Gumilaks, and add aniline paint to create a black stone.

  1. Fill the liquid mass into the plastic matrix.
  2. Remove the excess mixture. To do this, suck the solution with dry plaster.
  3. Wait about 10 hours and pull out the finished product from the form.
  4. Treat the surface of the product with silica acid potassium to give the finished waterproofing stone.
  5. Seeing marble and polish it with a soft felt (you can also use specialized abrasive drugs that give the finished product more rich tint.
  6. When the stone surface becomes almost mirror - artificial marble will be ready.

Such production of artificial marble and mosaic is considered the most simple and affordable. Thanks to the gypsum, stones are very easy and durable. Such products are successfully used in residential areas.

Artificial marble with concrete filler

The technology of production of marble using concrete is also very popular due to the use of environmentally friendly material and ease of manufacturing products.

To independently create such a stone, follow these steps:

  1. Mix the dry matrix with a smooth surface of moisture-resistant gelcoat and wait for the shape completely drying.
  2. Prepare a concrete mix and add clay to it or haired lime.
  3. Prepare filler. To do this, mix 2 parts of river sand, 1 part of cement, 80% water and add to pebbles. The resulting solution also needs to add pigment (1% of the weight of the mixture) and knead the composition for artificial marble 30-40 seconds. Mix all components recommended in a special mixer.
  4. Add a pigment to the finished filler (it is necessary to add it uneven so that the finished product is more realistic). After that, thoroughly move the liquid composition.
  5. Install the matrix into a horizontal position and small portions pour the prepared mass into it. At the same time, all voids of form should be filled.
  6. Remove the excess mixture with a spatula.
  7. Cover the surface with polyethylene and wait until the composition is completely hardening at the plus temperature (depending on the thickness of the stone it will dry from 24 hours to several days).
  8. Remove the finished artificial slab from the matrix and treat it with a grinding machine and a special transparent politician.

If you decide how to make an artificial marble yourself, then preference is worth paying plaster or concrete. However, you can purchase a ready-made material:

  • Ground marble (microcalcite). This raw material is made of bridal marble. This powder substance of mineral origin is characterized by high strength and low chemical activity. In addition, the material is resistant to solar rays and does not absorb moisture.
  • Liquid marble. In addition to the marble crumb, the composition includes acrylic polymers, so that such a stone is light and flexible. Such marble can be easily cut with a knife and glue them the walls. He enjoys the greatest popularity when finishing the rooms of the wrong shape.

In custody

The manufacture of artificial marble is different based on the material used (more on video). However, no matter what source raw materials you choose, you need to carefully care for the stone. For example, to preserve the gloss of the marble surface, use a soap solution (on 3 liters of water you need to add 1 cap of any detergent).

At present, the imitation of marble is gaining increasing popularity, it is used even in the technique of decoupage. It is worth considering which options for artificial imitation of this material exist.

The imitation of marble coating is created with the help of artificial stone. It produces 3 ways: with the help of concrete, gypsum, polyester resins.

When adding fillers, hardeners and dyes and their competent mixing, the effect of divorces, stains and streaks are created. All these elements repeat the pattern of natural marble, which has the following advantages:

  • strength;
  • heat resistance, i.e., the stone is not lit in fire and does not carry out electrotocks;
  • environmentally friendly material, does not distinguish toxins even when burning;
  • tile is not afraid of chemicals, acids, alkalis, solvents, acetone and gasoline;
  • the material is moisture resistant, not subject to rotting and separation;
  • artificial marble tile is impaired;
  • heat-resistant.

In addition, artificial marble is beneficial and in the following indicators:

  1. Does not leave waste.
  2. It's very easy to care for him.
  3. Not so expensive as natural marble.
  4. You can choose the desired color and shape.

It is manufactured from it:

  • window sills;
  • tile;
  • countertops;
  • bathrooms;
  • stairs;
  • vases;
  • bar racks;
  • fountains;
  • sinks, etc.

Artificial marble can often be imitate for finishing electrical appliances, furnaces, wind wardrobes, heating radiators.

Marballing - Machinery Painting for Marble

This technique painting under marble is carried out by a decorative way. On the surface of any product, a drawing resembles a marble coating. If the work is perfect qualitatively, sometimes you can easily recognize the imitation of marble. This technique is used for painting tables, countertops, gender, fireplace, columns. Painting in this way is applied to wooden items, such as candlesticks, frames for paintings or photos. Despite the working capacity, the painting technique is quite simple.

Decorative Venetian plaster under marble

The use of Venetian plaster (mammor imitation) is characteristic of the pattern that mimics the stone. Such material has a number of benefits:

  • hides small wall defects;
  • passes air;
  • serves quite a long time;
  • unpretentious in care.

Application technique plaster

How to make marble in the style of Venetian? If you decide to apply Venetian plaster on the walls, first of all familiarize yourself with the instructions for the material, talk to those skilled in the art, since it is not easy to start from scratch.

When simulating marble, you must follow the following sequence:

  1. Preparation of the surface. The wall must be aligned, process to and plastering.
  2. After that, the facing material is mixed with a small amount of water. He is ready to apply on the wall.
  3. To form a drawing, each layer is applied by arcuate movements. You can also see photos from the proposed patterns and repeat the motion of the drawings. After applying plastering the wall of the wall, you can give a glossy look, when the special wax is applied.

In addition, there is a special powder on sale, adding which in the mixture, when applied, it turns out a tile, imitating marble. Thus, this method of decor can be accessible to everyone.

Venetian plaster implies not only the imitation of marble, you can make a surface based on granite or stone. Apply the plaster must be at least 2 layers. Only in multi-layer application can be easier to give the volume and depth of the surface.

To apply the finishing material you will need a spatula. He will be with force to press 1 layer in another. The material is applied by a touch bar. Before applying the next layer, rain full drying of the previous one. At the end, processing and cleaning of the layers is done.

Very nice looks on the wall of the mural or tile with marble coating. The interior of the room is changing beyond recognition. If you decide to simulate a complicated marble pattern, start with small spaces. These may be radius walls, fireplaces, arches, etc.

How to make a decoupage?

Methods of imitation marble in decoupage set. You can make a cardboard box, a frame with an image, a plate, etc. If you decide to make a marble box from a simple box, then the sequence of the marble imitation (master class) will consist of the following positions:

  1. Pre-cover with varnish product.
  2. Select the color of the marble surface.
  3. Box cover to drive and skill sandpaper. Circle the place where glue a decapiguity picture.
  4. Tonolon sponge tonside the surface. If necessary, skill and apply varnish. For the depth and transparency of the box, each stage of work is fixed with varnish.
  5. If you have prepared a light background for painting, then every next layer will be darker.
  6. Mint paper applies smears on the surface of the box and small splashes. This color will be your marble splashes. Top is applied with a varnish of 3 layers, if necessary, skrums.
  7. The following enclosures are made by different color. So, 3 colors are already involved.
  8. Now you should draw alkali on the surfaces made, for this it takes already 4 color. The paint is taken with a sponge and plowing into the water, the water is slightly pressed, and lines are applied to the surface of the box. Scroll down the line, the impression of light haze or blur. Fix the resulting result with varnish.
  9. After that, the acrylic paint of white color is taken and divorced with water, it blows out a tube on blurred lines, fine marble bodies are obtained.
  10. Other color paint draw extra accommodation with a thin tassel. Apply varnish, and wait for drying out. Thus, made a box, imitating marble box.

In the same technique, you can perform a decorative cutting board, a photo frame, a plate, etc.

1. Executive marble on Borhardt.

a) The mass is prepared from pure quartz sand, carbon dioxide, talca and gypsum, to which the finely fine-sided coloring substance can be added. The sand consumed should consist of pure silica, and for this purpose it is washed and cleaned from all organic components. After a complete drying of sand to it, 5-6% tremble adds. Then, 6-7 carbon dioxide, 3 talcs, 4 gypsum, 3 fields are added as a binding agent for every 100 sand. All components are mixed together with a small amount of water. The resulting mass is declined in shape and after complete drying is burned with a white-chain heat in the furnace without pissed.

b) Take 80 gypsum and 20 carbon dioxide, finely rubbish, stirred and knead with a mixture consisting of 1000 distilled water, 1080 sulfate lime.

c) Take 1000 water, 1440 glue, 1000 sulfuric acid. Then put the dough into the mold and, when it hardens, take it out, dried to the continuation of two hours, grind and polished ordinary way. Finally, the object is dipped into the bath from linseed oil with a temperature of 70 ° C, after which they are dried and lubricated with stearin. Aniline paints are recommended for staining. D) Artificial marble pale yellow to white. 30 coarse white sand, 42 chalk, 24 rosin, 4 burned lime.

e) greenish. 28 coarse white sand. 42 chalk, 2 blue ultramarin, 24 rosin, 4 burnt lime.

e) body. 28 coarse white sand, 42 chalk, 1 blue ultramarin, 1 kinovari, 24 rosin, 4 lime lime.

2. Imitation marble. a) van der stylish. First prepared water in which there should be a crawling gypsum, adding joinery and resin into it; The adhesive in the usual way dissolves in warm water, and the resin in the warm turbid bath. In the water thus prepared, the gypsum is divorced with such a calculation so that the entire mass is enough to fill the form. After that, they add to the mixture necessary for painting paint marble; Paints should be prepared in special vessels. The painted marble prepared in this way is then poured into the form of plaster, cement or rubber for smooth plates on glass or stone boards. This marble layer is applied with a 4 mm thick, then a dry gypsum layer is sieved on it to remove excess water used to dissolve the painted gypsum. As soon as this layer of powdered gypsum is well moistened with water contained with an excess in the colored gypsum, a thin layer of well dissolved, but not colored gypsum is knocked out on it, and on it canvas or a red. Then follows the layer of dissolved gypsum to which the chopped crushed stone is noted. This latter layer depends on the thickness that they want to give the subject to the artificial marble. As soon as the mass solidins sufficiently (after 6-8 hours.), It is removed from the plate or taken out of the mold, they wipe the pimples and the resulting pores are filled with dissolved plaster, painted and the main color of the cast object. To make the surface of waterproof, it is treated with silica acid potassium, and or immerse it in the bath, or they smear the liquid using the brush. When the mass is completely dry, the surface is polished, and the novelty of the polishing process is that they are watered with a tampon, a wound cloth and moistened in the composed of the polyteraphors:

I. White polish for light artificial marble: 100 whitening gummylak, 600 alcohol, 25 fine gypsum gypsum.

II. Brown politra: 100 orange gummilaka, 600 alcohol, 25 fine gypsum gypsum.

At first, the polished object is wiping with a swipon moistened in alcohol, then the polythip is applied using another tampon and continue to rub the swamp until some stick will be noticeably. The layer formed in this way is processed by the first, impregnated in the alcohol with a tampon until it turns out a completely smooth surface.

III. Black polish. a) For this, take a little black aniline paint on the rag. To achieve a uniform and very shiny politician, you need a rag covering a tampon to wet from time to time by several drops of oil. b) in the rosemeter. The objects-vases prepared from ordinary limestone, figures, etc., are heated for 12 hours, at a pressure of 5 atmospheres, boiling water or steam. Then they are placed in a bath consisting of a solution of alum 5 ° according to B., in which they remain from 1 day to several weeks. In this way, the stone acquires greater hardness and the ability to perceive the politicism. If the stone wants to paint, they add dissolved aniline paints dissolved in water. c) in Ostermeyer. Mix lime milk with a finely unwound marble, or lime milk with chalk, until the semblance of Cashitz. Based on the study of Pompeysky cement, Ostermeyer recommends adding a sufficient amount of large overlap of limestone stone. This cement will soon dry and harden.

3. Imitation of granite. Mix clean fine sand, cchedan or some other mass containing flint, with freshly mounted and unwritten lime in the following proportion of 10 sand or cchedan and 1 lime. Lime is quenched by the humidity of the sand, corrosive flint and forms a thin layer around each silicon sand. By cooling, the mixture softened with water. Then take 10 pushed granite and 1 lime and kneaded into place. Both mixtures are put in a metal form in such a way that the sand and lime mixture formed the middle of the object, and the mixture of granite with lime is an outer shell from 6 to 12 mm (depending on the thickness of the prepared item). In conclusion, the mass is pressed and the hardness gives it, drying it in the air. The staining substance is iron ore and iron oxide, which are mixed with hot granite. If they want objects formed from the above composition, to give a special hardness, they are put on an hour in silica in potassium and expose heat at 150 ° C.

Natural stone - the pleasure is expensive, especially if you want to make a tabletop or soul pallet from it, and therefore artificial marble with their own hands It seems a more profitable option. Moreover, there are quite a lot of ways to obtain reliable imitation, using a variety of different, sometimes quite unexpected components and technologies.

How to get an artificial marble with your own hands

What is the stone of interest to us? He has inhomogeneous coloring, most often with piercing the whole crowd with streaks, grain-crystalline structure. Coloring can be snow-white, pink, blue, black or gray. Less frequent colors: red, purple, green, yellow. The easiest way to create the illusion of marble with gypsum, which gives a dense, non-porous mass. However, this option is unacceptable if you need a tabletop or facing indoors with high humidity. Therefore, consider alternative ways to make artificial marble with your own hands.

The simplest technology is casting in forms of cement-sand mixture. Cast marble is durable, moistureproof and, most importantly, looks very similar to this. However, it should be noted that thin tiles will be rather fragile, and thick - it turns out heavy. As a result, you can make a tabletop from such an imitation, but the body of furniture should be very massive to withstand the weight of the stone slab. A more subtle option can be made by taking a wooden table plane as the basis. Next, we will look at both options.

Almost real artificial marble: manufacturing technology

What do we need, as a result, to get a slab casting stone, almost indistinguishable from natural? First of all, a form of polyurethane, sand and cement in a ratio of 2: 1, respectively, water (fifth of one part of cement) and pebbles as a filler. The dye (1% of the grade of cement) and the plasticizer in the same quantity will be required. In order for the technical process to be reserved with a plastic film, a building mixer, a mixer, or a special drill nozzle, as well as a spatula and a short rule.

Technology of manufacturing a real artificial marble - a step-by-step scheme

Step 1: Preparation

Thoroughly rinse and dry the shape, which can be any size, for example, just for the working surface of the kitchen wall. We prepare the solution for which in a dry condition we combine cement, sand and pebbles, mixing the components thoroughly. We pour 80% of stored water, as well as a plasticizing composition, and continue to be missed, achieving the maximum possible homogeneity of the mass. Add water residues and, inexpensive portions in different sectors of the container, dye to achieve as much uniformity of the subsequent mixing of the coller with the solution.

Step 2: Fill form

As soon as the dye went through the cement mass by subtle streaks, the composition is ready, and you can begin to the most important phase of the technical process. We take shape, put it on an absolutely smooth surface to eliminate the bend of the bottom or walls, and pour into it the solution. We clean with a spatula of the edge of the form from excess, which may affect the smoothness of the plate, after which they recall the mass surface and cover it with polyethylene.

The greater the plane of the artificial stone, the higher the probability of its breakage due to internal voids. Therefore, if possible, vibrotole should be used, and in the absence of such when mixing, try not to lift a mixer from the mass so that air bubbles are not formed.

Step 3: Getting ready-made artificial stone

Approximately 10 days, the pouring of the bulk in the form of mass will end, while the process may not need to interfere, as they require other work with cement. For example, regular surface moistening is not required due to the fact that the solution is covered with polyethylene, eliminating the rapid evaporation of the fluid. When the stove fully solidifies, carefully pick it up, turn it over and, like a case, remove the form from the finished table top.

To get an artificial marble, the manufacturing technology should not be difficult, everything can be done in an apartment. At the outlet, we obtain a product with low porosity, high resistance to a wet environment and various household chemicals. If necessary, we are polishing the slab using a transparent political and alcohol, alternating surface treatment. At the same time, you first should be treated with alcohol, then, in drying, polished, and without waiting for it to dry, we again take a swipon, moistened with alcohol.

How to make an artificial marble in the form of illusion

If you want imitation of the stone to cover the elegant coffee table, from the previously described technology will have to abandon, since it is hardly thin wooden legs will withstand the load of the multi-skilogram. Instead, the easiest way with the help of paints partially turn the table into the marble itself, drawing the corresponding divorces on it. To do this, you will need a jar of paint for the background, for example, white or green, as well as a small tank of a pattern for a pattern. On a white background, it will be correct to draw black or gray stripes, on green or black - white.

Before making an artificial marble, all cracks and chips on the surface are filled with a special water filler for wood, if any. Next, from the pulverizer, we moisturize the tabletop so that the swollen fibers revealed all roughness, and, after 30 minutes necessary for drying, as much as possible, squeakly up to a smooth state. Then, clearing the surface, proceed to painting and apply two background layers with a gap required to dry out the first of them. In order not to be divorces, it is better to use a brush or a pillow of a foam rubber. Two hours later, you can start applying a texture pattern.

The marble drawing is familiar to many, sometimes it resembles zigzags lightning on a vested set of slopes of the surface, and sometimes it looks like arbitrarously intersecting cracks. All this is not difficult to portray a featured brush, with which you can change the thickness of the line. Waving 5 minutes, mix a small amount of white paint with a transparent polyacryl coating. Saving a wet sponge (it is necessary to remove the excess mixture from it), we carry out the drawing, without pressing strongly and cutting, so the lines, making them more vague. After another 5 minutes of drying, we wipe the surface with a clean cloth, mixing the colors with light touch. Another 30 minutes of drying and take again for a featured brush, emphasizing the previously apparent pattern.

Two hours later, when the surface is breathing well, we take a thoroughly mixed polyacryl coating and cover our "marble" with a thin transparent layer. It is advisable to leave the countertop for a long time to give a film thoroughly. Next, it is necessary to polish the surface with the finest sandpaper, clean with a wet sponge or cloth and, allowing to dry, process with polyacryl again. Again, we leave to dry by almost formed the imitation of the stone for 2-3 hours, then we wash and wipe again. We apply the last layer of transparent coverage, waiting for it to freeze (2-3 hours), and finally polish, after which we forget about our piece of furniture approximately a week.

Artificial marble is a modern finishing material that is suitable for the fulfillment of internal and external work. From others, it is distinguished by aesthetic appearance and affordable cost. In addition, due to the simplicity of manufacturing technology and cheapness, you can make it with your own hands at home.

Artificial marble - what is it?

Artificial marble - modern finishing material that is suitable for interior and outdoor

Artificial marble is a building material, imitating a natural stone.It can be produced in three ways:

  • from concrete;
  • plaster;
  • polyester resins.

Fillers, hardeners and dyes are added to them, which, with competent mixing, create divorces, stains and accommodation, repeating the pattern of natural marble, and give it unique properties:

  • strength;
  • heat resistance - such marble does not burn and does not conduct electrotocks;
  • ecology is not toxic even when heated;
  • resistance to chemicals, acids, alkalis, solvents, acetone and gasoline;
  • moisture resistance - the material does not rot and is not resolve;
  • strokeness;
  • heat resistance.

The benefits of artificial marble include:

  • waste-free production;
  • ease of care;
  • low cost compared to natural stone;
  • wide gamma colors and shapes.

All of them significantly expand its scope. Today, artificial marble products adorn not only residential buildings, apartments and offices, but also schools, medical institutions, including dining rooms, and maternity hospitals. From it there are window sills, countertops, bar racks, baths, stairs, vases, sculptures, fountains and washing. With it, they are separated by furnaces, brass cabinets, heating radiators and electrical appliances. Some marble varieties are used in industry.

There are 4 types of artificial marble:

  • lytyeva - the most popular. It is a mixture of polyester resins and marble crumbs or quartz sand, which is poured into special forms for pouring. Thanks to this composition, it can perfectly imitate not only natural marble, but also Yashma, Onyx, Malachite or granite.
  • liquid - material made of marble crumbs and acrylic polymers. In construction used not so long ago, but has a lot of advantages, including a small specific weighing, flexibility and environmental friendliness. It is easily cut with a knife or scissors, replaces the wallpaper and allows you to create a perfectly smooth seamless surface. Due to this, liquid marble is used in the process of finishing the premises of the wrong shape.
  • merchant - represents painted and polished to the mirror glitter gypsum mass with hardeners. A spectacular appearance allows it to imitate not only marble, but also malachite or Lapis-azure. From other species is distinguished by special properties: Easyness and high strength, due to which it is successfully applied when erecting various structures. It is often used in residential buildings and apartments to improve the microclimate, as it has unique properties of absorption or impact of extra moisture.
  • microcalcite, or ground - it is produced by grinding white marble. The resulting powder substance of gray or white is used in the process of manufacturing plastic products, linoleum, paper, cleaning products, paints and varnishes.

Preparatory work

Forms for the manufacture of artificial marble can be both to buy and do it yourself.

The easiest way to do artificial marble from cement and sand. When compliance with technology, in this case, the product retain all its properties. The main thing is not to produce too thin or thick plates. The first are fragile, while the second is hard.

For the manufacture of artificial marble, you will need:

  • small-grained sand;
  • cement brand 500;
  • c-3 plasticizer (it improves the specifications of concrete);
  • pigment is an inorganic dye that does not dissolve in water, for example, oil paint;
  • filler - quartz sand, marble crumb, dolomite, limestone or pebbles;
  • polyethylene film;
  • water.

To work in advance should be prepared:

  • capacity for the preparation of the solution;
  • construction mixer with a nozzle or perforator with a mixing nozzle;
  • the polymer form - it can be purchased or made independently of polyurethane, plaster or plastic. It is possible to replace them with a wooden frame, on the bottom of which the glass is stacked;

Picking out the form, it is important to ensure that its surface is smooth and smooth, and it is connected itself. In this case, you can easily get the finished product.

  • the vibration table - it is indispensable in the manufacture of artificial marble in large quantities. Regardless of the type of vibration - horizontal or vertical, it helps to remove air bubbles from the solution and its seal. For the absence of such a design, you can simply constantly vigorously shake the shape;
  • brushes for lubrication form;
  • sprayer for gelcoat;
  • grinding machine with diamond disks-cups for handling finished plates.

Manufacturing technology

The process of preparing the solution for artificial marble is easy. However, it requires accuracy in proportions, compliance with certain rules and the presence of minimal skills. It is better to start with the manufacture of simple designs, gradually complicating the task.

Preparation of solution

For the preparation of the solution you need:

  • Pour into the clean dry capacity of cement and river sand in a 1: 2 ratio. After thorough mixing of these materials, a marble crumb or pebbles is lowered into the mixture. Its quantity is determined individually and affects the size of the finished product fractions.
  • Following the filler in the mixture, dye add. Its number should not be greater than 1% on the total weight of the mixture.

At this stage it is important to gear the composition to gently in order to keep the uneven color. This will allow the maximum to repeat the pattern of natural stone.

  • After you need to shake the mixture well several times or place it on the vibrating table to remove air.
  • Then you can pour water. It should be 0.2 parts, but it is necessary to do it in 2 reception. The first time is added 80% of the total volume, and after interfering with the plasticizer (1% of the mass of cement) and thorough mixing of the mixture - the remaining 20%. After the next mixing and energetic shaking, the solution is ready.

Preparation and Form Form

It is possible to pour the resulting mass only in dry and clean forms displayed in a strictly horizontal position. Previously, they are treated with the material for the prevention of adhesion and gelcoat and leave before hardening. Perfectly smooth plates are obtained if the solution is poured into small parts, following the capacitance evenly. Periodically, the form should be vigorously shake or installed on a vibration table to remove air.

You can increase the strength of finished marble slabs using reinforcement. To do this, it is enough to place a solid painted wire.

Solid solid

After removing surplus of the solution and its leveling, the form is covered with polyethylene film and leave in a place protected from atmospheric precipitation to hold the minimum per day. In some cases, this process can stretch for several days. Additionally, moisturize the surface of the concrete at the same time or to interfere with it in every way.

Thick plates of artificial marble can continue to break due to the presence of internal voids. Vibrotol or special technique for the preparation of solution can obstruct this. According to her, the mixer should not be removed from the mass when it is stirred. Thus, air bubbles can be avoided.

Treatment of finished plate

After the hardening, the product is turned over and removed from the mold, removing it like a case. Then it is desirable to give him a little lie out outdoors and start to grinding. You can perform it using a grinding machine.

Due to the high strength of finished products, they can be cut subsequently only with diamond circles.

Video: Artificial marble with their own hands

Make products from artificial marble with your own hands at home - not a problem. This once again proves the author of this video, demonstrating all the stages of the main work:

Gypsum marble manufacturing technology

The technology of manufacturing an artificial marble from plaster is characterized by simplicity and accessibility.

Such technology is popular and consists of several stages:

  • Preparation of the working solution. To do this, it is laid out dry gypsum in the container and water, carbon black and resin are added to it, pre-melted in the hot bath. After thorough mixing, pigments or acrylic dyes are poured into the mass and are again stirred before the formation of residences.

Artificial white marble can be obtained by adding a mixture of 200 g of white humilx, 50 g of dry gypsum and 1 l of technical alcohol into the solution. Brown is formed when interfering with orange gumilax, and black - aniline paint.

  • Laying the finished mass in the form. Excess water at the same time is easily removed by dry plaster, which it rushes from above. The process of hardening the finished product can stretch for 8-10 hours, after which it can be extracted.
  • To form a waterproof layer over marble from the gypsum, its facial surface is treated with silica cells and is polished with a soft felt.

How to make marble from polyester resins

Artificial marble from polyester resins is incredibly durable

In this way, you can get a mold marble with a unique texture, which, moreover, will be incredibly resistant to mechanical and chemical damage. To do this, it is necessary to prepare a polymer concrete from a polyester resin and filler, mixing them in a ratio of 25:75. As the latter, quartz sand or other mineral, interpreted in the crumb, will fit.

You can replace the polyester resin with a mixture of Butakryl and AST-T (technical acrylate) taken in equal amounts. These are added as many quartz sand or rubble and pigments on an acrylic basis.

The resulting composition is laid out into the form where it is left to complete solidification. You can increase its strength using the chipboard board. Its dimensions should be less than 5 cm form sizes. Passing into the ground, it subsequently improves the technical characteristics of the finished product. After hardening and frosting, the latter is removed from the form and polished.

Despite the high strength and excellent technical characteristics of artificial marble, it still requires some care

Care can be carefully followed by simple rules:

  • do not use cleaning agents, which contains oil;
  • it is undesirable to use detergents with silicone;
  • to remove contamination it is better to use a soft cloth;
  • it is undesirable to use brushes, sponges and other devices that can scratch the finishing layer;
  • abrasive cleaning agents for care-tops are better replaced by gel;
  • regular cleaning of artificial marble products is better to carry out a detergent or soap;
  • it is possible to preserve the glossy gloss of surfaces by wiping them with special solutions (on 3 liters of water 1 cap of liquid soap from natural ingredients) and rubbed with a dry towel.

Alone made artificial marble can become an alternative to ceramic tiles. With it, you can finish the kitchen and decorate fireplaces. It can be used as an outdoor coating, demonstrating guests good taste and outstanding abilities.
