How to fold a letter into a triangle: video. Frontal letters triangles. How to do

Today we will figure out how to make an envelope out of paper with your own hands. Envelopes can be simple, gift, differ in shape and size, may not have decorations and be intricately decorated.

In order to make a paper envelope, you and your child will need a little time, materials for work and imagination.

Depending on the age and skills of the child, choose the version of the envelope that he can afford.

Remember that learning from simple to complex leads to better results and reinforces the child's sense of success and self-confidence.

Depending on the simplicity or complexity of your envelope, you will need base material. It can be anything: A4 paper, cardboard, colored paper, pieces of wallpaper, plain wrapping paper, felt, etc.

Anything that seems appropriate and beautiful is suitable for decoration: beads, a button, ribbons, lace, sequins, pieces of twine, straws, artificial flowers and much more.

You can get by with a simple applique or drawing, then you will need paints, felt-tip pens, pencils, colored paper.

You will also need scissors, a ruler, a pencil and glue.

Before proceeding with your plan, prepare a place where you and your child will sit.

The workplace should be well lit and comfortable, working materials should be at hand.

How to make an envelope out of A4 paper

A simple plain envelope

  • Take a sheet of A4 paper and lay it horizontally in front of you.
  • Measure from the right upper and left lower sides by 7.2 cm.
  • Draw lines to the corners as shown in the diagram. Cut off the resulting triangles.
  • Rotate the resulting shape towards you so that it looks like a diamond.
  • Bend the sides evenly in the middle.
  • Bend the top and bottom sides to the middle.
  • Glue the finished envelope, leaving a tab so that the envelope opens freely.

Rectangular letter envelope

  • Take a sheet of A4 paper. Bend it along the line as shown in diagram (A).
  • Bend the sides (B).
  • Unfold the sheet and cut along the folded lines the side parts as shown in figure (B).
  • Bend the remaining side pieces. Fold the envelope and glue the sides. Close the envelope with the remaining label (D).

Square envelopes

Plain square envelope

  • Fold the square sheet horizontally and then vertically.
  • Fold two corners towards the center.
  • Fold the bottom corner forward.
  • The envelope is ready

Origami envelope

  • Take a square sheet of paper. Rotate it so it looks like a diamond. Bend it to make a triangle.
  • Bend the top side of the triangle to the base of the triangle.
  • Now bend its right corner, as in the diagram.
  • Do the same with the left corner.
  • Bend the remaining corner from the middle of the envelope
  • Open this corner so that your finger enters it.
  • Fold the top of the envelope down and insert it into the pocket you just formed.

Beautiful square envelope with rounded edges

  • Take a piece of paper from equal parties, leaving a square in the middle.
  • From the side parts we form four rounded labels with the help of a compass and scissors.
  • We bend all the labels to the center.
  • You will get a very nice envelope.

heart envelope

This is a very simple way. You can not glue such an envelope, but simply carefully smooth its folds so that it does not open. But when the recipient opens the envelope, he will see a heart. You can not even put anything inside such an envelope, but simply write pleasant words inside the very heart.

  • So, you will need to cut a heart out of paper. To make it even and symmetrical, you need to fold the sheet in half and cut along the contour of one half. When you open the sheet, you will get a neat heart. It is important.
  • Turn the heart face down on the table.
  • Bend its sides, as shown in the photo.
  • Bend the top and bottom remaining sides to the middle.
  • The envelope is ready.

Now you know the basic ways of making envelopes. You can experiment and come up with your own unusual options. Any of the above envelopes, even the simplest one, can be turned into a beautiful and gift if it is designed in an original way.

Gift envelope design

In order for your envelope to become beautiful and individual, you will need different materials. It all depends on your imagination. It can be ribbons, beads, beads, paints, pencils, ready-made bows, flowers and much more.

Invite your child to decorate the envelope themselves. For example, color it with pencils. Show that the sides of the envelope can be outlined with felt-tip pens, draw flowers, or simply abstractly paint the entire envelope. Also, he can write on the front side beautiful words which you will first help him find.
Many children really like gluing beads. Let your child express himself. Give him beads, beads different sizes and glue. He will be happy to create a masterpiece on his own. You can wind the threads around the envelope, sticking them evenly on the glue so that they do not crumble. This option looks organic even without additional decoration. Although, no one here will set frames for you, so you can safely glue flowers, bows and beads.
In the process of preparing envelopes, you can try to do quilling with your child. Perhaps the child will enjoy twisting paper strips, and at the end you can get wonderful products for decorating envelopes. Wind various quilling flowers with your child, and then give him the opportunity to arrange them on the envelope the way he likes.
Surely you and your little craftsman have already tried to make applications. These skills will definitely come in handy here as well. Look at several design options together and come up with a picture that will become an application for a gift envelope.

In this master class, I propose to make a letter - congratulations to our veterans, home front workers as a token of gratitude for the peaceful sky above their heads, for the gift of a bright life, or children can give these letters to their loved ones at one of the events dedicated to the 70th anniversary great victory taking place in educational institutions.

For the manufacture of letters - congratulations, we need the following materials and tools:
- sheets of white paper;
- colored paper;
- scissors;
- PVA glue;
- St. George Ribbon;
- plasticine;
- a tea bag or a pinch of instant coffee;
- templates.

Safety rules for working with scissors
1. Work with well-adjusted and sharpened scissors
2. Scissors must have blunt, rounded ends
3. Place scissors with rings towards you
4. Follow the movement of the blades while cutting
5. Don't leave scissors open
6. Pass the scissors rings forward
7. Do not play with scissors, do not bring it to your face
8. Use scissors for their intended purpose

Rules for working with PVA glue

1. When working with glue, use a brush if necessary
2. Take the amount of glue that is required to complete the work at this stage
3. It is necessary to apply glue in an even thin layer
4. Remove excess glue with a paper towel
5. Try not to get glue on clothes, face and especially eyes
6. After work, close the adhesive tightly and remove
7. Wash your hands and workplace with soap

For work, you will need a text of congratulations or a festive drawing made by children. In order to convey the originality of the letter - a triangle (color, its relief), 2 methods can be used in order to "age" the paper.
1 way. We print the text of the congratulations and wet it with a damp sponge from the front and reverse side.

Next, for work, we need a pinch of instant coffee, which we sprinkle over the entire surface of the sheet - from the front side and draw a soft wet object (foam sponge or tea bag) over the sheet to dissolve the coffee grains. We do the same on the reverse side of the sheet. Let the sheet dry.

While the first sheet dries, I propose to meet with the second way"aging" paper. For this method we need a bag of brewed tea. Attention: tea is brewed by an adult!

With a tea bag, paint over the entire surface of the sheet - on both sides. As a congratulations, you can use a children's drawing. Drawings are best drawn with wax crayons, since a drawing made with a felt-tip pen or watercolor pencils is smeared under the influence of water.

When the sheets are dry, you can start assembling the letter, following the visual demonstration suggested in the photographs.

To give letters - triangles holiday look I propose to decorate them with a floral arrangement using a St. George ribbon. We measure the desired length of the tape, attaching it to the corner of the letter, cut it off and glue it.

Next, cut out daisy flowers from paper white color. We twist the edges of the petals with a pencil or scissors.

From green paper, cut out the leaves with curly scissors and make veins by bending in a certain way, as shown in the photo.

Next, let's move on to designing. flower arrangement. We cut out thin stems from green paper and stick them on top of the St. George ribbon. Next, glue the chamomile flowers and leaves.

We make out the middle of the flowers with balls of yellow plasticine, which we lightly press down and leave traces with the help of a pen from a fountain pen.

We supplement the letter with a festive inscription, which we also process with the help of a brewed tea bag and when the inscription dries we stick it on the letter.

For the design of the second version of the letter, we use asterisk templates different sizes, the corners of which we lift up and stick on each other so that the petals of each asterisk are located between the petals of the next asterisk. The petals of the asterisk located in the middle are bent so that the petals are connected to each other.

We glue the finished flowers - lights on the prepared base (glued tape and stems) and cut out small leaves, in which we glue only one side with glue, the other will rise. Add a congratulatory inscription and the letter is ready!

- in this article you will find a video master class and a little history explaining why the letters of the Second World War were formed in this way.

During the Second World War in the USSR, front-line letters were folded in a simple triangle. Such letters did not require envelopes, which were then in short supply, especially among front-line soldiers.

Soldier's triangles usually consisted of ordinary rectangular notebook sheets. First, the sheet was folded from right to left, then vice versa. A strip of paper remained, which served as a flap that was inserted inside the letter.

How to fold a letter into a triangle: video

This video tutorial very clearly describes how to make a front-line letter-envelope from a sheet of A4 paper. In our country, this option is used today mainly in congratulations - as a symbol of the fact that we remember those times of severe trials.

In soldier triangles, it is now customary to write words of gratitude and congratulations, often in poetic form. Triangle letters are given to men on February 23 or veterans on May 9.

How to fold a letter into a triangle: a little more history

Note that the triangle letters were never sealed because the soldiers' letters were read by censorship before being sent to the addressee.

Triangle letters were sent without a postage stamp. The address of the recipient of the letter was usually written immediately - on outside sheet.

The triangle letter was first folded, the recipient's address was written, and the reverse side was marked with lines - the place that should remain empty for postal employees to mark. Since school notebooks were in short supply at that time and every sheet counted, the letters were written in very neat handwriting. People tried to fill the entire space of the sheet with the exception of the address side and free space for notes.

How to fold a letter into a triangle: how the soldiers answered

Triangle letters were also sent to the soldiers in response. If the letter no longer caught the addressee alive, on the reverse side, left blank for notes, an entry was made about the death of the addressee. The address side of the letter was crossed out crosswise. This was done so that the return address remained legible and the letter could be returned to the sender.

What can be written in a triangle letter today

Today it is customary to write congratulations in envelope letters - from February 23 or May 9. Usually, soldier envelopes with congratulations are given to close people - relatives and friends, colleagues and colleagues, classmates and classmates - if we are talking about February 23rd. It is also customary to hand over soldier's envelopes to veterans on May 9th.

Below we present several options for a congratulatory text for a soldier's letter.

If you need to send a letter or greeting card, and there is no envelope at hand, then it is quite possible to make it yourself. In this article, we offer you several various ways how to make an envelope from ordinary white or beautiful wrapping paper.

Lesson #1

1: Take a piece of A4 paper and fold it in half lengthwise. Then unfold again - this way you outline the crease.

2: Lay the sheet vertically in front of you, fold the upper right corner towards the middle. Fold the top left corner in the same way.

3: From the right edge of the sheet, measure 3.8 cm and fold towards the middle. Do the same on the left side of the sheet.

4: Bend the lower part of the sheet so that the lower edge coincides with the intersection point of the upper triangles with the bent sidewalls (see picture), straighten again.

5: Insert a letter or postcard into the envelope, placing it between the folded edges.

6: Close the envelope. To do this, first bend lower part, and then the top one (so that the lapel triangle is on top).

7: Using adhesive tape, glue the lapel of the envelope, also seal the sides with tape.

Method number 2

1: Take a sheet of A4 paper and cut it so that you get a square.

2: Fold a square sheet of paper in half diagonally, first to one side, then to the other side. Smooth out the sheet again.

3: Rotate the sheet 45°. Bend the bottom corner towards the center of the sheet, then bend the bottom edge of the resulting figure along the central crease.

4: Now fold the left corner of the sheet towards the center so that the top of the triangle protrudes slightly beyond the middle of the sheet. Repeat the same on the right side.

5: Bend the tip of the right triangle so that the fold falls exactly in the middle of the part. Do not bend the corner completely - it should stick out vertically.

6: Spread the triangle with your finger to make a diamond with a “pocket” on top.

7: Fold the lapel of the envelope and tuck the top of the triangle into the “pocket” of the diamond. Ready!

Master class number 3

1: Take a sheet of A4 paper, write a letter or a short message on it and fold it in half across. Smooth out the crease and unfold the sheet again.

2: Bend the upper right corner towards the crease in the middle of the sheet. Do the same for the bottom left corner.

3: Bend the right edge of the sheet so that the cut coincides with the edge of the triangle folded in the second step. Then fold the left edge of the sheet in the same way (see picture).

4: Rotate the part 90 degrees counterclockwise and fold the top right corner along the dotted line as shown in the picture. Its top edge should match the bottom edge of the figure. At the same time, bend the lower fold and fill the bent corner under it.

5: Repeat the same on the left side.

The letter-envelope is ready!

Method number 4

Another option for a gift box. It can be made from multi-colored gift paper:

1. Fold the sheet in half across.

2. Bend the top edge of the folded half of the sheet down so that the cut coincides with the bottom edge of the part.

3. Then fold the lapel in half again as shown. Bend again, just marking the crease.

4. Now fold the bottom edge up to the resulting crease once, then again.

5. Bend the top edge of the sheet down towards the point marked in the figure.

6. Bend the right and left bottom corners.

7. Wrap the right and left edges of the part to a width equal to the width of the bent triangles.

8. Mark the folds along the dotted lines, as shown in the figure.

How to make an envelope from a sheet (video)

How to fold an envelope from a landscape sheet without glue?

It is not always at hand that there is glue with which the corners of a home-made envelope are fastened. In this case, you need to make a little more effort and slightly change the technique of forming the mail envelope. This is easy to do, especially if you have basic origami skills.

It is not always at hand that there is glue that fastens the corners of a homemade envelope.

  • form a square from the album sheet, removing everything superfluous with scissors;
  • make the edges as even as possible so that they do not spoil appearance the design in which your letter will fall;
  • carefully fold the resulting sheet so that an even fold line connects the opposite corners of the square, forming two stripes;
  • put the straightened square with one corner up, make the bend of the lower corner to the center of the structure;
  • now also combine the side corners, but so that they do not reach the center, but are simply nearby;
  • bend the corner of the bottom of the envelope so that it forms a flap connecting the side parts;
  • put a letter or money in an envelope, bend it inward, hiding its corner in the inside.

Origami from the album sheet

For those who are not afraid of difficulties and want to surprise the addressee with their work with an album sheet, there is an option to form a beautiful envelope using the origami technique. It won't take more than half an hour.

For it you will need:

  • a rectangular sheet of paper for origami or scrapbooking;
  • centimeter substrate;
  • simple pencil;
  • iron ruler.

It won't take more than half an hour

How to do:

  1. Fold the sheet with small sides to each other so that the wrong side of the sheet is inside.
  2. Lay the sheet with the fold down, and fold the top towards you so that it takes up a quarter of it.
  3. The resulting valve must be bent again, but already up, closing the wrong side with the front part. Now the whole sheet is folded 8 times.
  4. Unfold the last fold and fold it in the middle to get a strip with a part of the inside and a part of the face.
  5. Now we bend the lower corners into triangles, and tuck them under the previously obtained valve.
  6. We turn the design over, and bend it on the sides, formed by the part outward on both sides of the envelope.
  7. Turn over to decompose only the bends made.
  8. We form the upper clan by bending it to the colored strip of the lower valve.
  9. On the sides of the envelope you should get two rectangles on each side, on the bottom of them you need to draw diagonals diverging from the envelope.
  10. break upper edge valve to the drawn diagonal on each side.
  11. We open the structure, form bends inward in the lower corners so that we get triangles.
  12. Bend the belt and put it into a triangle, wrap its side part like a shutter.
  13. We also form side triangles on the top valve, making a common triangle.
  14. Having expanded it, we bend the folds, as is the case with the bottom valve.

The resulting triangle will close your envelope, with a message or money enclosed in it.

How to make a postal envelope from A4 paper?

Of course, the easiest way is to find a template for such an envelope on the Internet and, after printing, fold it along the desired dotted contours. In fact, it will need to be bent and glued. If printing is too easy, then you can use any of the above methods. Although it is difficult to work with your own hands, the emotions that the addressee will reward you with will more than pay off your efforts. Such envelopes are stored carefully and such an act is remembered for a long time, especially if before that needlework was not your forte.

Envelope for money

To make it, you need to draw a template on medium density cardboard.

  1. In the center, draw a rectangle with sides of 24 * 21 centimeters.
  2. On the wrong side, draw an inner rectangle with a side of 10 cm.
  3. On the one hand, draw a protruding rounded part of 1 cm, and on the other - 2 cm.
  4. Bend all the parts along the folds, stretch the cord into the side valves.

Such envelopes are stored carefully and such an act is remembered for a long time.

The envelope is ready. You can decorate it however you like.

Large A4 envelope

Any formation technology is applicable for it, but if we take the latter as a basis, then all lines must be drawn based not on the indicated numbers, but on the format of the sheet itself.

First draw small side valves, and from them the main ones.

Making an envelope with your own hands is quite simple

If the addressee is a man, then the color of the sheet and the ribbon must be chosen strict; for ladies, you can decorate with lace, feathers or other decor that the addressee will like.

What else can be done from an A4 sheet: ideas

There are a lot of options for crafts, and most often their creation is limited by the lack of imagination. But all this is fixable when there is a desire.

Therefore, the following ideas will come in handy:

  • envelopes of various shapes and formats;
  • greeting cards ordinary and 3D;
  • bookmarks in books;
  • Christmas decorations;
  • decor for the room;
  • tapes;
  • airplanes and ships;
  • any origami craft;
  • flowers;
  • hat decor and much more.

As a basis, you can take pure white paper, color, with drawings and embossing. You can make amazing tandems with fabric, special self-adhesive paper, colored tape, etc. With a certain approach, you can reach the level when your crafts become original works that will be in incredible demand.

Envelope using origami (video)

You need to start work small, gradually moving to more complex envelopes or other crafts. Something will not work out or will be hopelessly damaged, but you should not leave everything halfway. After all, it is through mistakes and painstaking, hard work that people achieve success. Even if it is an ordinary homemade envelope.
