Selection of agitator design

For and prepare cement solutions of various stamps, the following types of mechanized mixers are used:

Forced action mixers

The principle of operation of this construction machine resembles the preparation of a solution of a drill with a nozzle - a mixer. Stirring occurs with the help of blades or a screw installed inside the fixed cylindrical container. Drive - gear, chain or belt from an electric motor with a power of 500 W and more (depends on the size of the container).

The designs of forced concrete mixers may differ in a number of signs:

  • The position of the baud - vertical or horizontal;
  • Mobility - stationary installations (moving by a crane or wolf) or mobile models on wheels;
  • The method of unloading - through the opening hatch or turning the horizontal baud, fixed on the hinges;
  • The order of work is cyclic or continuous.

Reference. Household mixers are designed for cyclic operation - loading ingredients - mixing - unloading, then the cycle is repeated. The screw mixers can function continuously - on the one hand, dry components are covered, on the other, it turns out the finished solution. An example of such a machine is shown in the drawing.

The main advantage of forced concrete mixer is to obtain a homogeneous high-quality solution. Disadvantages:

  • The complexity of manufacture - the housing and the work part must be clearly adjusted to each other so that there are no dead zones in the corners of the container, where the blades do not get;
  • The preparation of concrete is hampered - large and medium-sized pebbles are stuck between the walls of the baud and blades;
  • Homemade stirrer bearings need to be protected from water penetration, sand and cement.

Conclusion: The installation is perfect for the implementation of plastering, finishing and masonry, especially with the use of dry mixtures. It is also permissible to prepare concrete with a filler of a small fraction - gravel, marble crumb and so on.

Gravitational type machines

The simplest manual concrete mixer using the principle of natural mixing is shown in the photo. If the household is removed the iron barrel 200 l and trimming the metal, such a homemade design will cost almost free - only bearings will have to buy from the parts.

Council. The machine with a manual drive is best made from the barrel installed on the diagonal axis. A classic concrete mixer with pear-like baud uses a combined forcibly gravitational principle. From within the tank, the blades of the cunning blade are welded, passing the concrete mixture along the walls, but the exciting solution closer to the center. The "pear" rotates the electric motor, the concrete is unloaded by inclination of the worker drum.

What are the good designs:

  • The mixer is suitable for the preparation of any solutions;
  • Ease of manufacture - hinged elements are made beyond the capacity and do not need to be sealing;
  • "Pear" and the drive can be placed on a stationary or mobile frame, equipped with wheels and even a trailer device for a passenger car.

Traditional concrete mixers are inferior to forced in the speed of preparation and homogeneity of the solution, but won in the simplicity of design and versatility. Make a solid cheer

  4. Frame made of metal profile pipe with a cross section of 50 x 30 mm, the thickness of the wall is 2.5 mm.
  5. Electric motor 750 ... 2000 rpm, with a capacity of 0.5 ... 1.5 kW.
  6. Supporting swivel subframe.
  7. Artistic Cross - Metal strip 40 x 3 mm.
  8. Intermediate pulley.

As the supporting rollers, craftsmen use small wheels or ordinary rolling bearings. Instead of the profile pipe without problems, a round or corner plus chastellers is used. The dimensions of intermediate and driving pulleys are selected depending on the number of electric motor turns.

In addition to the specified materials, you will need a power cable, a block of starting capacitors and an enable / stop button.

The strict cylindrical shape of the barrel does not contribute to the high-quality mixing of cement with ingredients - rubble, sand, claymzit and other fillers. After the positiveness of the water, one part of the mass sticks to the bottom, the other splashes through the neck.

Note. The longer you will make vertical cuts, the more the narrowing of the "pears". But remember - too long "petals" bend unevenly, as a result, the container will lose the right form, during rotation there will be axial beating.

To the lower end of the baud, you need to re-fight the bottom and crossbar under the articulation of the drive. Another option is to fasten the bearing clip.

Frame assembly and drive device

The design of the iron frame - arbitrary, depends on the dimensions of the drum, the method of installation and the submitted materials found. When assembling, consider the following recommendations:

  • The frame should be stable, withstand swaying and tipping a barrel with concrete;
  • between vertical racks and horizontal elements weld the ribs of stiffness;
  • the inner swivel frame is better to do on bearings, although it is quite acceptable to use hinges on the sleeves;
  • Under the engine and drive parts, prepare the fasteners;
  • If the torque is transmitted by the belt, refer to the sliding mount of the motor or pulley for its tension / weakening;
  • Put the retainer to fix the baud in the inclined position - the metal rod, inserted into the holes on the rotary part, will be used.

Special attention is paid to the calculation of the drive mechanism. The optimal speed of rotation of the "pear" is 30 ... 40 rpm, exceeding or underestimated the indicated revs are not recommended. The task is to choose to the existing electric motor of the pulleys, gears or gearbox, in order to lower the speed. We calculate the gear ratio i, then determine the dimensions of the pulleys using the equation:

Example of calculation. There is an engine with turnover of a shaft 800 rpm, the size of the drive wheel is 60 mm. In order to obtain the speed of rotation of the baud 40 rpm, it is necessary to select a slave pulley with a diameter d2 \u003d (800 x 60) / 40 \u003d 1200 mm. When using a chain and gear transmission, you need to consider the teeth of stars.

Typically, the size of the slave gear is too large. In the manufacture of concrete mixers with their own hands, the torque from the electric motor can be transferred to the drum in different ways:

After assembling the frame and installation of support rollers, the barrel is finally attached to the bottom hub. It remains to connect the wired mechanism and collect the power stirrer power circuit.

Manual concrete mixer

There is no electricity on the construction site, and large volumes of solution and concrete are not always required. Exit - make a concrete mixture of a small volume that will rotate manually (with a manual drive). The designs of these models are simple and uncomplicated.

From dairy flask

The simple manual concrete mixer can be made by the usual metal flask (earlier they sold in such milk). We still need trimming pipes or other scrap metal. The design is simple, such a concrete mixer is implemented in a couple of hours. The main thing is to weld the frame. The assembly of the concrete mixer itself will take a couple of tens of minutes.

We make the bed, out of the round tube, fuse the handle. At the top of the bed, weld two water clutches (for example). Their inner diameter is slightly larger than the diameter of the pipe used for the handle. The pipe is passed through the flask, weld to the case.

So that the barrel spinning easily, it is necessary to find the center of gravity. To do this, it can be put on some subtle item, and moving forward / backward, find this very center. That's through it and you will need to skip the handle. By skipping the handle, it is fixed to the walls of the housing. Difficulties may arise: the flasks are usually made from an aluminum alloy, and the handle can be made of steel. Connect from using welding will not be possible. The only available output is cold welding. He is quite real. The remaining modes - with bimetallic gaskets or argon-disposable welding at home are not implemented. Another way out is to weld the plates on the handle that stick to the sides of the flasks.

So that the handle is not very pitted and not falling out when working, nuts weld to it from both sides of the coupling.

In general, this is all the manufacture of manual concrete mixer with your own hands. For one, 2.5-3 buckets of the solution can be obtained in one-liter bidon. For use in the country or on a plot near the house (without a construction site) more than enough.

If there is no bidon, you can adjust the barrel (thick-walled). Then the problem with the welding handle disappears, but you have to come up with a lid fixation system. You can make something similar to the one that is available at the bidon.

From barrel (manual and with electric drive)

This design called the "Drunk Barrel" - due to a peculiar trajectory of movement. The whole point is that the axis of rotation goes through the container of the necchock. Due to which the solution rolls over from one wall to another. The design is also simple and effective. What is important - there are no problems with welding heterogeneous metals. In the upper part of the frame in the center, bearings are installed in which the handle has grown. Thanks to them spinning 200 liter barrel easily. Just choose a container with thick walls - last longer. Inside, no additional blades do not weld: they only delay the components, mixing stirring and complicate the unloading.

In the original design, the loading / unloading hatch is in the bottom. This is a cut part (approximately 1/3), attached with the hinge to the bottom, equipped with a sealing rubber around the perimeter and closing into two locks. When loading, the barrel turn so that the hatch is at the top. When unloading - rotate down. The solution of gravity moves into the substituted container, and the sticking can be removed by knocking on the housing with a hammer or sledge hammer.

This design served in the author 10 years, although it was done for one-time work, but it turned out to be very successful: 2.5 buckets of the solution are well mixed in 20-30 revolutions. During this time, her neighbors and acquaintances were repeated and improved. Mostly alterations concerned Luke. The most successful design is identified experimentally - similar to the one that is used in the dairy flask. Such a "neck" is welded to the body of a barrel with one of the sides (see photo at the top). Also make handles on both sides - for the possibility of working together.

This design is easily converted into an electrical homemade concrete mixer. A not very powerful engine is set - 1 kW for a barrel of 200 liters is enough, to the axis of which a small asterisk is attached to the axis of the pipe larger (to reduce the number of revolutions), they are connected using a chain (from a scooter, for example).

This concrete mixer is reduced type. For the manufacture of this model needed:

  • barrel made of galvanized steel by 180 liters (diameter 560 mm, height - 720 mm);
  • engine washing machine - 180 W, 1450 rpm;
  • flywheel and starter gear from Muscovite 412;
  • two pulleys from a washing machine with a diameter of 300 mm and 60 mm;
  • wheels from a garden trolley;
  • scrap metal for frame.

Types of concrete mixers

Mechanical or electric?

Choosing the design of the future "Assistant", should immediately decide on how to work it:

  • mechanical concrete mixers - work from a manual drive, when a large amount of concrete, turn the gate to twist together;
  • electric concrete mixers - work from the network, but the connection of the motor requires good knowledge of auto mechanics.

If several strong and hardy people are involved at the construction site, you can do the handmade concrete mixture. The ingredients of the mixture are loaded or simultaneously, or alternately. The only inconvenience is a design with a movable barrel, and not an internal shaft, do not allow to add water during the mixing process. The barrel must be stopped, opening the hatch and pour water. The hatch closes and the mixture is prevented again.

Electric concrete mixers allow you to knead large volumes of concrete for the shortest possible time, one person copes with the work. It should be borne in mind that high-power motors require a three-phase network, so when choosing a tank volume, you should calculate the power of the motor in advance. If only a line of 220 V is connected to the court, he will have to forget about heavy solutions.

Forced, gravitational or vibratory?

The principle of work of concrete mixer will depend on its design:

  • concrete mixers of forced action are distinguished by a fixed capacity, in which the blades attached to the shaft rotate;
  • gravitational concrete mixers are stirred by concrete due to the rotation of the actual capacity in which the blades are rigidly fixed on the walls;
  • vibrating concrete mixers cannot boast of great performance, but provide high-quality and homogeneous mixture without bubbles.

At the same time, gravitational, and the forced action of concrete mixers can be both mechanical and electrical. The whole difference is that the mechanical concrete mixer of forced action has a horizontal axis, and the electric can have both vertical.

For their manufacture, you will need a metal container. The most elementary option is a metal barrel with a thickness of 2.5 mm thick.

Vibrating homemade concrete mixers are available to each perforator owner. And although it is not possible to pour the foundation with their help, make the filler floor in the bathroom or interface the tile solution is quite real. At the same time, the design is nowhere else and does not require direct human participation. So even a woman will cope with work.

Volume of concrete mixer

An important criterion for choice is the capacity of future concrete mixer. For example, for work on the fill of the foundation, a capacity of 200 liters is required for a minimum. It should be borne in mind that the finished mixture will be 15-25% less - depending on the boot capabilities.

Manually, this volume of concrete can be kneaded, although it is hard enough - the hand will be tired.

A self-made device has another significant disadvantage - the reset of the mixture is often produced in full. Therefore, it is better to take care of a wheelbarrow in advance. If there is an opportunity to make a partial reset mechanism - it is better not to regret the time to create it. This will significantly simplify the operation of spacious electrical concrete mixers and will allow working together by loading two cars.

If the volume of construction is small, you can do with simple concrete mixers, the creation of which will not require serious labor and cash costs.

Vibration concrete mixer from perforator

The presence of a mixer nozzle is required for any construction work. But to keep the drill while she kneads the solution in the bucket, it is hard and time is lost in vain. If there is a perforator with manual inclusion of the impact mechanism, you can quickly make a vibratory concrete mixer:

  1. The perforator will be required with a capacity of 1-1.3 kW. Less powerful will be ineffective.
  2. The vibrator is manufactured - the main acting part of the concrete mixer. Incorrectly made vibrator simply disappoints concrete. Its shape must resemble a biconimous lens - flat edges and a convex middle. For example, it can be folded together and fixed metal plates. The disk diameter is calculated on the basis of 20 cm per 1 kW. For a perforator of 1,3 kW, a vibrator with a diameter of 25 cm will be needed.
  3. Round capacity seabed. The distance from its walls to the vibrator should be equal to its radius. So, for a vibrator with a diameter of 25 cm, a tank with a diameter of 50 cm is needed.
  4. A perforator bracket is installed. The position of the vibrator is calculated so that its distance to the bottom is to be diameter, in this example it is 25 cm. The amount of solution above the vibrator should be the same.

The readiness of the solution during the operation of such a concrete mixer is determined by the absence of rising bubbles and the formation of small waves on the surface. If the cement or sand is low-quality, the solution may not form the waves. Then the mixture is ready when it stops moving and bung out.

Concrete mixer with manual barrel

You will need a two-shifted metal barrel, a metal pipe with a diameter of 2-3 cm, flanges, Bulgarian and welding machine:

  1. The boot hole and two opposite holes for the pipe cut down in the barrel, which will be axis. The axis can be traded both through the center of the barrel and diagonally. In the second case, the mixture will be mixed better.
  2. From the inside the barrels to the walls are welded 2-3 blades - so that the mixture does not stick to the walls and is better mixed. The blades should pass along the entire barrel, but do not fit close to the walls - otherwise the solution will constantly accumulate in the seams.
  3. The pipe is done, its ends are welded and fixed with flanges.
  4. It is manufactured for a concrete mixer. Its height should be such that it was convenient to load the ingredients of the mixture, without lifting them too high, but also to interfere with it did not have to bother, bent into three deaths. On the supports under the axis, it is necessary to make ride, which will allow the axis to spin freely. You can use both the hollow tube of larger diameter and bearings.
  5. It is necessary to provide a wide, durable and sustainable base that binds the legs of the supports. This will prevent the concrete mixer tenting during the work.
  6. Levers are welded to the axis. Do not forget that they should be easily opposite to each other. The longer the lever - the easier it is to move the barrel. But too long lever is not convenient in work, so you should hold onto the golden middle.
  7. The lid of the loading hatch must close tightly - so that the mixture does not flow. You can cut the lid of the larger size from the same barrel and the perimeter can be cleared with dense rubber. And you can use a part from the same barrel left from cutting the boot hole. To do this, it is necessary to simply weld along the edge of the centimeter metal strip and also compact its rubber.

Similar design and outdoor concrete mixer. Only instead of the movable barrel inside the blades are spinning, which are also powered by human efforts. For its manufacture, you will need a barrel actually, and the pipes of the round and rectangular cross section. The barrel stacked on the side, the top is cut off from it. It is better to leave as much barrel as possible - to be able to knead more concrete.

Over the sides cut holes for the shaft. But, unlike gravitational concrete mixtures, the blades are welded to the tree itself. You can use any details, even the blade from the combine!

The mixture is also unloaded by the coup of the entire barrel.

Such concrete mixers are a very budget option, but requires the constant participation of two employees. If you have to work alone, you will need a device with an electric motor. For example, an open type variant can be quickly improved by connecting the engine to it.

Electric drive "factory" concrete mixers

Without possessing confident skills of the welder, it is better not to try to repeat the factory models of concrete mixers. But in the presence of an experienced neighbor, you can make excellent techniques from almost nothing! At the same time, such a concrete mixer will serve more than 10 years, helping the construction of the entire country village.

Homemade gravitational concrete mixer made of scrap metal

After that, you will have to ride on redemption points of redemption and authoring plants in search of the necessary details:

  • metal sheets with a thickness of 2.5 mm for walls and 5 mm for a pear bottom;
  • flywheel from the car, for example, from "Volga" or Maz, hub and bendix - for the mechanism of pear rotation;
  • bearings for overturning pear (you can do the "pipe to the pipe" system, richly lubricating the pouring);
  • metal pipes of square section and different diameter - for the base, planting place and rotary wheel.

When all materials are collected, you can proceed directly to the manufacture of concrete mixers:

  1. Figure and welded elements of the case. Bending steel can be a sledgehammer, even if individual parts are not perfectly smooth, when welding together, they will take the right form.
  2. While the pear is not welded together, to the lower part of it, carved from 5 millimeter steel, the mechanism of rotation is attached. It is advisable to make it removable - to transport collapsible concrete mixer easier.
  3. Weld together parts of pear. First, the central and lower parts are combined. For this edge of the central rim, they are cut and bend inside - to limit the output of the lower part. Through the top of the central rim, the bottom item is inserted and the sledgehammer is added to the face down until it stops down. When the edges are aligned, they can be welded.
  4. The upper part of the pear is descended into the central, the edges of the central rim also cut and bend inward. With the help of a nail, the top "is flushed" until the stop is also welded.
  5. From the inside of pears, blades that promote mixing mixture are welded. In order for the solution to do not accumulate in the seams, the blades are attached at a short distance from the walls.
  6. You can start making a seating area that ensures pear tipping. Given the large weight even empty capacity, you need to take care of the high reliability and strength of the frame.
  7. The tipping mechanism must be made on the flywheel with a gear - so tipping the complete container will be even one. You can cook the hex wheel or admit any other.
  8. A gearbox is manufactured, which will transmit torque from the engine to the pear. Pulleys on the shaft and the engine are calculated so that up to 25 pear revolutions per minute.
  9. So that the major parts of the mixture do not fall into the rotation mechanism, you can screw the strip over the crown, but this stage is optional.

In principle, the concrete mixer is ready. Optionally, it can be painted - to protect the metal from corrosion, although during operation it will still acquire a classic gray color.

Concrete mixer forced type made of tin pans

If it is not, you can order a saucepan with a diameter of 60 cm and a depth of 50 cm at a familiar tinsmith. After that, it remains only to adjust the mechanism, blades and make a hatch:

  1. Placed the center of the tank - it is there that will be the shaft. The hatch is cut out for unloading the mixture. Rectangular cut easier, but then the whole mixture is broken into the wheelbarrow. It is better to make a swivel semicircular hatch.
  2. For this, the core is welded in the center of the cut-off semicircle, on which the hatch will turn. So that the mixture does not flow over, the strip is welded over the cutout of the hatch, under which the curtain will move.
  3. In an inverted state, an engine with a gearbox is attached to the installed bearing. To securely fix the engine and ensure the desired belt tension, the engine is installed on the racks welded to the bottom.
