  4. next you need to perform a quarter turn back;
  5. this principle cuts the thread to the required length.. In the process of cutting, the cutters need to be lubricated with a special liquid or any other lubricant;
  6. then, according to the same scheme, cutting threads on another connected part of the pipeline.

For coupling mounting on one pipe, the length of the thread must be several times longer than on the other, so that it can be turned onto it clutch with a nut.

After cutting, the thread can do it with your own hands to perform a coupling compound, which is performed as follows:

  1. a nut and then a clutch is screwed onto a long thread;
  2. on the second end of the detail the nut is screwed;
  3. next, the pipes are connected, and the coupling is folded with a long thread, as a result of which it begins to wind up onto the second part with a short thread. This procedure must be performed until the joint place will be approximately in the middle of the coupling;
  4. then the nuts are screwed from both sides. Before tightening them, there should be a clutch between couplings and nuts.

This compound is reliable and durable. However, it is not always possible to cut a thread. If, for example, the pipeline is located close to the wall, it is hardly possible to perform this operation.

Coupling gebo connection

Gebo's coupling ("Gebu" or "Gebra") is a special compression fitting. With it, you can perform a combination of steel pipes without thread and welding very quickly, and for this you will not need any special tools.

The scheme of its use is extremely simple:

  1. details are put on the pipe in such a sequence:
    • nut;
    • clamping ring;
    • clamping ring;
    • sealing ring;
    • coupling;
  1. then you need to wear a coupling of half and tighten the nut;
  2. next, the second item is connected to the fitting in the same sequence.

It must be said that this fitting exists both in the form of a coupling and in the form of a tee. This allows you to use it in cases where you need to perform insert, for example, in the riser for performing a wiring.

As for reliability, it depends on the quality of installation. If the work is performed correctly, this installation is reliable and durable.

Connecting pipes without welding and threads can also be used by the repair and mounting rope. This fitting is a coupling or a tee, which consists of two parts. Both halves are tightened with each other with bolts.

It should be noted that the repair and installation rows are intended primarily to perform temporary repairs, for example, in the event of cracks. However, in emergency situations with their help, you can also join pipes, especially if the pipeline does not work under high pressure.

In this case, the installation instructions looks like this:

  1. first of all, the parts of the pipeline parts that fitting will be put on, it is necessary to clean from rust and all kinds of irregularities so that their outer surface is absolutely smooth;

  1. then it is necessary to wear a rubber seal on the pipe. The incision of the seal must be missed with silicone sealant. It should be noted that the seal must fully cover the pipes so that no gap remains.
  2. next, both halves of fittings are put on the rubber sealer and are tightened by bolts, as shown in the diagram.

This method, as we see, is also extremely simple. By the same principle, the compound is combined with a coupling. The difference lies only in the fact that it is delayed on the one hand, not two.

It must be said that if using pipe clamps - a connection of pipes without welding, it turns out even more reliable than using the mounting and repair clutch.

Plastic

If you need to assemble a plastic pipeline, you can use compression fittings that work on the same principle as the GEBO clutch. Most often, in this way, metal-plastic and PVC pipes are connected.

Sometimes special glue uses for these purposes. The installation process in this case is extremely simple:

  1. places are smeared with special glue;
  2. then the parts are rotated on the floor of the turnover;
  3. in this position, they should be held until the glue is free.

It must be said that such a connection is quite strong, since the glue dissolves the adjacent surfaces, and, in fact, welds them.

For the assembly of metal-plastic pipelines, crimp fittings are also used. However, this requires a special tool that allows them to be contrary.

  • sealing thread.

Lyon is suitable for all types of threads on heating pipes, regardless of diameter. He is the cheapest of the seals. It is important to turn it right:

  • with the help of metal or files, notches on the thread are made;
  • the strand of flax rolls into something like a thread;
  • the cheating is carried out in the start of the fitting (usually clockwise);
  • the protective paste is uniformly.

When cheating flax, it is important not to overdo it. First you need to make the first turn, which will secure the seal on the thread. In this case, the tail remains. On the second twist, the remaining tail picks up and wounds together with the common fiber. Watch that there are no twists. Distribute material on the thread you need evenly from the end to the fitting case. Working with flax, when connecting heating pipes, you need to follow your own hands, as they are constantly smeared pasta. If you have such hands to take up, the imprint will remain.

Fuma ribbon is used for thin-walled fittings and connector with fine threads. Working with the material is easy, hands are always clean. In this case, the tape is quite expensive and mainly used for small diameters. A significant disadvantage of this seal is the impossibility of adjustment. The sealing thread is the same as the FMU tape does not need lubrication and the use of special paste. It can be filled with dirty or wet threads, applicable for plastic.

Sealants are applied to clean and non-fascinated threads (usually new). They are:

  • dismantled;
  • hard dismantled.
