How to equip a balcony: ideas from the heroes of Kvartblog

A balcony is a saving area in an apartment. They can be disposed of in very different ways: someone keeps trash there, which is a pity to throw away, and someone turns it into a functional space that brings joy and benefit. Today we will talk about how you can use the balcony. And in order not to be unfounded, we will talk about what can be done with a balcony using the example of our heroes, to whom Kvartblog visited.

Workplace

Creating a workplace is one of the most popular options for arranging an insulated balcony in small apartments. The most important things to consider are sockets and extra light. It is best to think over the sockets in advance even during the repair, because it is not for nothing that they say that there are never many outlets.

So, we saw a small workplace in. The owners of the apartment combined the balcony area with the total area of the room, due to which the already bright space seems very spacious and bathed in the sun. The owner Lena says she plans to change the chair for a more comfortable one, but overall she is happy with the choice of a place for rare working moments at home.

The two-room apartment had a very strange layout: the balcony took up almost as much space as the smaller room. During the renovation, the owners moved the boundaries of the balcony, freeing up space for Ira's desk. The narrow console is enough to accommodate a laptop and write something in a notebook if necessary.

The small balcony was specially insulated so that there could be a workplace for 11-year-old daughter Anna. At first, the walls had the same wallpaper as in the entire apartment, but by last spring the family decided to add some brightness to the interior. This is how a sunny yellow corner appeared, which sets one up for work and creativity.

Another workplace is hidden in a corner of the balcony connected to the space of the room. In the tiny one, this is the only place that reminds us that time is inexorably running forward and the technique has to somehow fit even into the classic interior styles.

The workplace of Elena Zaichenko, whom we visited in Khimki, is located on a wide countertop in the kitchen and continues on the balcony. Since Elena has to work with paints, she equipped a separate box in which she can safely paint some of her works and at the same time not torment the house with annoying odors. On both walls of the balcony, we see storage shelves.

Resting-place

This is my favorite item! Let's start with the off-season seating areas on the insulated balconies. Karina, the hostess, had a fix idea before starting the renovation: to be able to enjoy the beautiful view from the window.

It was decided to equip a small and narrow balcony in the new house as a resting place. A special seat with storage space inside was made to order. In Ikea there was a similar thing on the idea, but it did not fit in size. Karina admits that she was inspired by photographs on the Internet to create the balcony lounge area.

There are many photos on social networks in which people are sitting on their cozy balconies, reading magazines, drinking wine in the end. I decided that I also want to, and dreams must come true!

Another cute detail is the fold-out mini table, where you can put a cup of tea or put a book.
