Cupcakes for children. Children's cupcakes: recipe options with photos, cooking features

Curd muffins for children turn out very fragrant and appetizing; their delicate taste goes well with tea for breakfast. This is a great option for children - after all, they need to cook not only healthy, but also tasty.

The main ingredient of a cupcake for children is heat-treated cottage cheese. It contains a lot of protein, which is well absorbed in the child’s body and is indispensable during active growth. Protein takes part in the construction of cell and tissue structures. It is also responsible for the transport of vitamins and minerals to organs and supports the proper functioning of the immune system. Protein is completely absorbed by the body during heat treatment. Cottage cheese also contains many microelements necessary for a growing body, such as phosphorus and calcium. They help maintain healthy and strong bones, participate in the process of hematopoiesis, and prevent rickets and pathologies of the heart and kidneys.

Cottage cheese contains B vitamins, which take an active part in metabolic processes, normalize the functioning of the children's nervous system, and help saturate the body with energy. Dishes with it do not burden the digestive system and do not irritate the mucous membrane of the digestive organs. Muffins are good for brain function, as they also contain carbohydrates that are absorbed at high speed and nourish the brain.

You can add walnuts to the recipe to feed the growing brain with polyunsaturated fatty acids. You can safely give your child a homemade cupcake. This way you can remain confident that the product does not contain dyes, flavor enhancers or preservatives. Children love muffins and enjoy eating them with juices or compotes.

But there is no need to overuse baked goods, since they, despite their harmlessness, are high-calorie foods. They should be given to the child within reasonable limits.

Cottage cheese is one of the first products introduced into complementary feeding for an infant. By 1 year, the daily norm can reach up to 50 g. At 1.5 - 2 years, the diet can include not only one cottage cheese, but also a variety of dishes based on it: lazy dumplings, pudding, muffins, etc. And at 2-3 years old - casseroles and cheesecakes.

To feed a child, cottage cheese can be prepared at home from sourdough and milk. We recommend. But you can also buy it in a store. This is a perishable product, so you should always pay close attention to the shelf life and production date.

But there is no need for your child to use too fatty cottage cheese for cooking - up to 9% is recommended. The composition can include butter and eggs. The main thing is that these products are also fresh and well tolerated by the baby’s body. For a child, you should halve the baking time, add candied fruits, raisins and dried apricots.

Children's muffins can be an excellent breakfast option for children. Especially if they are prepared with a small amount of fat and contain a lot of fiber. If you supplement such a breakfast with a protein component - kefir, cottage cheese, milkshake, milk, your child will not soon get hungry. Today we have prepared for you a wide variety of recipes for children's cupcakes, created from various ingredients.

About cupcakes

This dessert is a confectionery product made from butter dough, baked in molds with high sides. Baking powder or soda must be added to this type of dough. In addition, flour, sugar, eggs, butter, and various flavoring and aromatic additives are added to it. Thanks to the content of eggs in the dough, it acquires a velvety structure; butter and sugar give the finished product softness.

There are several options for kneading this dough depending on the recipe. Please note: when preparing, it is necessary to observe certain technological conditions - the order of adding products when creating the dough, all kneaded products must be at the same (room) temperature. Products are baked at moderate temperatures in the oven for quite a long time. If the crust turns golden brown and the center is still raw, cover the muffins with foil and bake until done. We check readiness in an old but effective way: using a wooden splinter or a toothpick.

carrot cake

Confectionery products prepared according to this recipe are distinguished not only by their taste and benefits, but also by their beautiful appearance. It will bring special joy to small children. The following components should be prepared:

  • 2 large, very juicy carrots (about 200 g);
  • 100 g peeled hazelnuts (raw);
  • a couple of eggs;
  • about 60 grams of flour (depending on quality);
  • big lemon;
  • tsp with a heap of baking powder;
  • 4 tbsp. l. molasses, maple syrup or honey;
  • powdered sugar;
  • a little ground cardamom;
  • olive oil for lubrication;
  • small carrots with a tail (for serving);
  • salt.

Step by step process

We prepare children's cupcakes as follows:

  1. Chop the nuts into fine crumbs using a knife, and grate the carrots on a fine grater.
  2. Wash the lemon thoroughly and remove the zest from it using a grater. Squeeze the juice out of the lemon itself. Separate the whites from the yolks, grind the latter with honey or syrup, add nuts, carrots and lemon juice to them, mix.
  3. Sift the flour and cardamom into a separate container, add the yolk mixture and knead the dough. Beat the whites with the addition of salt into a stable foam and very carefully fold them into the dough.
  4. Grease a mold intended for baking muffins with butter and place parchment on the bottom. Place the dough in the molds and place in an oven preheated to 160°C for 25 minutes. If you want to make one large cake, the baking time will be about 40 minutes.
  5. After baking the products, let them cool completely, this will take about one hour. Having previously separated the baked goods from the walls, carefully remove them. If you used portion molds, serve the baby cake directly into them.
  6. Wash and dry the prepared carrots with tails in advance, and place them on the surface of the cupcakes. Using a fine strainer, sprinkle the baked goods with powdered sugar and serve.
  7. If you know how to work with marzipan, then you can use marzipan carrots for decoration.

When buying baby food (dry instant cereals), sometimes it turns out that the expiration date is coming to an end (open boxes are stored for a short time), but there is still quite a lot of dry product. In this case, making a porridge cake would be an excellent option. The ingredients we took will make approximately 9 cupcakes, the quantity may vary, it depends on the size of the molds.

You should prepare:

  • 130 g butter;
  • 100 g sugar;
  • 1 tbsp. dry porridge (to taste);
  • three eggs;
  • 0.5 tsp. soda (or 1 tsp baking powder).

Melt the butter on the stove, add sugar and beat with a mixer. Continuing to beat at low speed, beat in the eggs one at a time and add the baking powder. Then add baby dry porridge into the prepared mixture and mix. It begins to swell very quickly, so the dough turns out thick. Place in molds and bake baby cupcakes for about 35 minutes at oven temperature 180°C. Interestingly, at the beginning of baking, the cupcakes increase significantly in size and then settle. As soon as the products acquire a brown tint, they can be removed.

Anyone who has small children knows how much they enjoy eating store-bought mini Barney cupcakes. Why not prepare this confectionery product at home or bake very beautiful and original mini trains? Fortunately, today in any store you can buy silicone molds for every taste and color, with different designs.

We suggest making cupcakes in the shape of small carriages. We will need the following products:

  • sugar - 200 g;
  • vinegar and soda - ½ tsp each;
  • eggs - 3 pcs.;
  • butter - 100 g;
  • sour cream (thick) - 7 large spoons;
  • flour - about 2 tbsp;
  • to taste - berries, candied fruits, fruits;
  • for decoration - sugar pencils.

The recipe is very easy to prepare and does not require any modern kitchen appliances.

Cooking technology

Using a spoon, mix the eggs with sugar, add sour cream, add soda slaked with vinegar, add softened butter, add sifted (required) flour. It is desirable that the finished dough has the consistency of thick sour cream. At this stage, you can add any fillers you wish to it. Very tasty muffins are made with various berries, such as cranberries or currants. It is recommended to fill silicone molds ¾ full, otherwise the products may “run away”. Before you start filling the molds, it is better to place them on a baking sheet, as they are very flexible, and it will be difficult to place the mold filled with dough.

According to this recipe, the children's cake is baked for half an hour at 200 °C. We check the readiness of the products in a long-known way - using a wooden stick. If there is no raw dough left on it, the cupcakes are ready. After baking, let the product cool directly in the mold, then carefully remove it. After the trailers have completely cooled down, we cut off the bottom of them for stability, and then paint them to your taste with sugar pencils, which can be purchased at any supermarket.

We offer another option for cupcakes baked in silicone molds. In this recipe we will use quail eggs, thanks to which the muffins are surprisingly soft on the inside and pleasantly crispy on the outside. Children and adults will love these cupcakes. You need to take:

  • quail eggs - 7 pieces;
  • granulated sugar - 120;
  • butter - 100 g;
  • soda - ½ tsp;
  • flour - 2 tbsp;
  • sour cream or baby kefir - 200 ml;
  • a little sesame.

How to cook?

Beat sugar and quail eggs, add liquid butter, then kefir, soda and flour. Knead the soft dough. Place the cupcake pans on a baking sheet. Fill the molds with dough and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Please note: we fill the containers no more than 2/3 full to allow the baked goods to rise well. Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake for 35 minutes.
