Indifference is a terrible vice. Shemyakin about sanctions, prayers and the fate of his daughter. Main section Indifference is a vice

Christ's distress at the desire for the absence of any personal relationship to good and evil (to a personal assessment of good and evil)...

“3 Then Judas, who had betrayed Him, saw that He was condemned, and repented, and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
4 Saying: I have sinned by betraying innocent blood. They said to him: What is that to us? take a look yourself.
(Matthew 27)"
“14 And write to the angel of the church of Laodicea: Thus says the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God:
15 I know your works; you are neither cold nor hot; Oh, that you were cold or hot!
16 But because you are warm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.
17 For you say: “I am rich, I have become rich, and I have need of nothing”; but you don’t know that you are unhappy, and pitiful, and poor, and blind, and naked.
18 I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire, so that you may become rich, and white clothing, so that you may be clothed, so that the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and anoint your eyes with eye salve, so that you can see.
19 Those whom I love I rebuke and punish. So be zealous and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me.
21 To him who overcomes I will give to sit with Me on My throne, just as I also overcame and sat with My Father on His throne.
22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
(Rev. 3)"
"19 For in those days there will be such tribulation as there has not been since the beginning of creation, which God created, even to this day, nor will there ever be.
(Mark 13)"

“The sin of regicide, which occurred with the indifference of the citizens of Russia, has not been repented by our people. Being a crime of both Divine and human law, this sin lies the heaviest burden on the soul of the people, on their moral self-awareness. And today we, on behalf of the entire Church, on behalf of all of her children - deceased and living - we bring repentance before God and people for this sin. Forgive us, Lord! We call all our people, all their children, to repentance, regardless of their political views and views on history, regardless of their ethnic origin, religious affiliation, from their attitude to the idea of monarchy and to the personality of the last Russian Emperor. ( St. Patr. Alexy II of Moscow and All Rus')"
“A.P. Chekhov gave a wonderful definition of indifference: “Indifference is paralysis of the soul, premature death.”
Indeed, indifference is a sign of a spiritually dead person - a person with a dead spirit, an unregenerate person. Jesus called such people “dead men.”
The Bible teaches us that indifference is part of the character of the wicked, and the absence of indifference and, conversely, the presence of the opposite traits of indifference (such as love, compassion, caring and concern) is a sign of righteousness. “When the Son of Man comes in His glory and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory, and all nations will be gathered before Him; and will separate one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; and He will put the sheep on His right hand, and the goats on His left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand: Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry, and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger and you accepted Me; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.
Then the righteous will answer Him: Lord! when did we see you hungry and feed you? or to the thirsty and gave them something to drink? when did we see you as a stranger and accept you? or naked and clothed? When did we see You sick, or in prison, and came to You? And the King will answer them, “Truly I say to you, just as you did it to one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did it to Me.” Then He will also say to those on the left side: Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was hungry, and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty, and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger, and they did not accept Me; I was naked, and they did not clothe Me; sick and in prison, and they did not visit Me. Then they too will answer Him: Lord! when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not serve You? Then he will answer them, “Truly I say to you, just as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.” And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into everlasting life.”
In this passage, “these” are indifferent people whom the Lord calls cursed; “Eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels” awaits them. “The righteous,” according to this passage, are caring people. The Lord has prepared eternal life for them." ( author unknown)"

“The main duty of man is to love God and then his neighbor: every person and most of all his enemy. If we love God as we need to, then we will keep all His other commandments. But we love neither God nor our neighbors. Who is interested in another person today?
Everyone is interested only in themselves, but not in others, and for this we will give an answer. God, Who is all Love, will not forgive us for this indifference towards our neighbors. People spend money without a purpose and do not think about their neighbor, who has nothing to eat. Good is good only if the person doing it sacrifices something of his own: sleep, peace, and the like. Only by sacrificing does a person remain in kinship with Christ, because Christ is the Sacrifice.
Indifferent and unmerciful people who care only about themselves, mindlessly satisfying their material needs, fill their souls with anxiety, suffer from remorse and experience torment already in this life. And a merciful person, who first of all saturates his neighbors with his love, is always himself saturated with Divine love and His generous blessings.
(St. Paisiy Svyatogorets)"

“Just as it is of no benefit to sowers when they throw seeds along the road, so it is of no benefit to us to be called Christians if we do not justify the name by corresponding deeds. If you wish, I will present to you a reliable witness to this, the brother of God, James, who says : “faith without works is dead.” So, exercise in good deeds is necessary everywhere, and without it, even being called a Christian cannot bring us any benefit. Be prepared for the fact that the Lord may demand your soul every day. Do not do so as to repent today , and tomorrow forget about it; today cry, and tomorrow dance; today fast, and tomorrow revel in wine.
(St. John Chrysostom)"

Indifference/apathy (pathia - illness/sorrow/suffering - Greek, "a" - denying/excluding/rejecting particle/prefix) - the sister of cowardice/indecision/uncertainty/multi-directionality in human activity (both external/bodily and in the inner - mental/spiritual)...
They (apathy and cowardice) are a little similar, but there is a difference between them...
Indifference grieves the Lord Jesuslack of human aspiration for both good and evil...
It would probably even be more accurate to say (no matter how paradoxical it may sound at first glance) that indifference is Christ’s grief over the desire for lack of desire (i.e., absence of spirit), which brings down man (the image of God is the crown of His creation) to an unreasonable/spiritual creature...
Cowardice is closest to weakness, and indifference is already related to grave internal sin...
Cowardice sees what is good and what is evil, but hesitates in its attitude towards them (in its choice between them)...
Cowardice understands that evil is bad/harmful, and good is good/useful, but it does not give them its separate preference due to the same sympathy for them...
Indifference is a rebellion (even if unconscious) against one’s Creator/Provider at the very basis of God’s plan for man (the realization of his personal freedom)...
Indifference no way does not relate to either good or evil, honoring them as if non-existent, apathetically not drawing any moral boundary between them (without distinguishing between their moral content/essence/meaning)...
Indifference is the essence of moral unprincipledness (spiritual apathy/indifference/indifference/"parallelism"/"violetness", etc.), which is sharply different internally, for example, from the outwardly similar cynicism (demonstrative contempt for morality), arrogance, rudeness etc...
Indifference is purely - it opposes malice and hatred of good, on the one hand, and love of goodness and hatred of evil, on the other hand...
For indifference does not contain either love or hatred - the causes of moral determination (aspiration or avoidance of this or that subject) and constancy (courage or stubbornness)...

About indifference, the Lord uttered the most terrible words in terms of their significance (assessment) in the Apocalypse of St. ap. John - his beloved student...
Christ said that he would “vomit (vomit) out” from His mouth everyone who is indifferent (luke-cold)…
One of the basic (fundamental) commandments of God commands a person to realize his freedom in choosing between good and evil - to evade (turn away) from evil (reject it) and do good (strive for it) ...
And evading evil and striving for good, man (as the image of God) must strive towards his Prototype - God...
Human freedom is his basic talent...
Not using one’s choice between good and evil, between creation and the Creator is identical to the lack of choice between death and life, between Gehenna and the Kingdom of Heaven - between eternal torment in hell and endless bliss in Christ (in the Church)…
In His parable about the talents, the Lord made it clear that non-use of His gifts in general (and freedom of choice between good and evil, in particular) leads an indifferent person to Gehenna...
And this is logical...
The absence of aspiration in a person thereby indicates the presence of his aspiration towards this very absence...
And a person must be directed towards goodness and its Source - Christ...
Otherwise, a person strives for anything else, but not for God (even the absence of this or that object)…
To be saved, a person must strive for the absence of evil in himself and the presence of good in himself, in order to have the ability and opportunity to unite with the Lord Jesus Christ Himself (to be saved)…
Indifference (lack of aspiration) does not allow a person to evade evil and strive for good and its Source - Christ, by definition...
Indifference is more harmful and dangerous than malice (coldness), because it does not allow a person to fulfill any of God’s commandments (for example, to repent to begin with) by definition, and, therefore, to be saved (at the end)…
An evil-loving person (who has an evil aspiration - spirituality) can always change his worldview (except for the hypocritical one), repent and be saved...
A lukewarm person, by definition, cannot commit a single spiritual act (neither evil nor good) due to the lack of any motivation in him (corresponding to one or another spiritual need)…
One of the main purposes of any person born into this world is to acquire one or another life experience - good or evil, with or without God, experience associated primarily with the implementation of his practical choice between evil and good (with his attitude towards good and evil - to God first of all) ...
Even if a person has strived for evil all his life, then after the death of his body he always has the opportunity to compare his earthly (Godless) experience with the experience of being in Christ in Heaven...
With the help of the Church, such a person is given a posthumous opportunity to repent and choose God...
Because he has experience in choosing...
The indifferent person lacks the experience of choice...
His posthumous fate is truly terrible and unpredictable...
It is not for nothing that Christ expressed His attitude towards “neither warm nor hot” in exactly this way...
These terrible words of the Lord are intended to persuade indifferent and freely and consciously indecisive people to actively use their talent of choice (inner, first of all, freedom)…
From all that has been written above, the Lord’s words also become clear that it would be better for a person to be cold (evil-loving) than indifferent...

“During his earthly life, a person must resolutely, irrevocably determine himself to good or evil, to God or the devil. He who seeks God and His truth will find God and new life here on earth, in the firstfruits, and after death - in its entirety. The egoist whoever seeks only pleasures on earth will find the devil, and after death, as one who agrees with him, he will go to the kingdom of the devil, to hell, to the society of complete egoists and villains. Our future destiny is in our hands.
(Igum. Nikon (Vorobiev))"

Indifference, like any vice, to one degree or another, is inherent both in any person in general and in any Christian in particular...
It can have different degrees (magnitudes) in a person (like any other vice)…
Indifference can also be both involuntary and free, conscious and unconscious, both innate and acquired...
It is clear that free and conscious lukewarmness is akin to hypocrisy and is practically incurable...
In conclusion, I would like to note once again that the Lord’s metaphor about His eruption of the indifferent (luke-cold) is not evidence of God’s hatred of His creation, but a figurative (vivid and therefore effective in its impact) way of conveying the severity and danger of the vice of indifference for man as his carrier (difficulties of salvation for the indifferent)...
Holy Scripture calls such measures of influence on stubborn (cruel-necked) sinners the rebuke of God (His threat) for the sake of the salvation of all that has fallen into sin and weakness of humanity...
In conclusion, we note that both any vice in general, and indifference in particular, has its initially good prototype of virtue, which our ancestors had before their fall - this is impartiality (an even/neutral emotional/sensual/lustful attitude towards any object as a talent of God , judiciously used to fulfill God’s commandments - for example, for gratitude/doxology, repentance, etc.)...
He wrote wonderfully about kind indifference St. Nicodemus Svyatogorets:

" But the best and most effective protection from sudden arousal of passions is the elimination of the causes from which such movements always occur. There are two reasons for everything: love and hatred. If you, my beloved, are captivated by the love of any person or are partial to any thing, great or small, then it is natural that when you meet them or when you see them being insulted and harmed, or distracted and stolen from they want you, you immediately become indignant at it, grieve, rebel and rebel against those who do it. Therefore, if you want this kind of sudden anxiety not to happen to you, take care to overcome and remove from your heart such unkind love and such unkind attachment, and the further you go in one and the other, the more care you take to make yourself indifferent and treat things and persons wisely, for the stronger your love and passion, the more violent and sudden the excitement of passion in all these cases.
Equally, if you have hostility towards any person or aversion to any thing, then just as naturally you suddenly become indignant or disgusted when you meet them, especially when someone praises them. Therefore, if you want to maintain peace of heart in such cases, force yourself this time to suppress the insurgent bad feelings, and then destroy them completely.
The following reasoning will help you with this (regarding persons) - that they too are creations of God, created, like you, in the image and likeness of God, by the omnipotent right hand of the living God, that they too were redeemed and recreated by the priceless Blood of Christ the Lord, that they too - your brothers and fellow members, whom you should not hate even in your thoughts, as it is written: Do not hate your brother in your mind; especially when you - suppose that they are worthy of dislike and hostility - accept them into good disposition and love, then you will become like God, Who loves all His creatures and does not disdain anything, as the wise Solomon praises Him: love all that exists, and You abhor the worthless things that you have done: lower than hating what you have created, and who, despising the sins of men, His sun shines on the evil and the good and rains on the righteous and on the unjust.

In conclusion, we note that the indifferent person rejects God’s plan for man, who appears from non-existence into this life...
The main task of a person is his determination/attitude regarding good and evil - to overcome temptation (to realize his freedom)...
In this sense, indifference is a special form of sophisticated self-will of a person who does not want to be tempted by good and evil - to determine his attitude towards them...
An indifferent person may have the illusion that since he did not approve of evil, he will not end up in Gehenna when his soul leaves his body...
He does not understand or does not want to understand that without love for Christ it is impossible for him to be saved - to unite with Jesus in the Kingdom of Heaven...
For salvation, it is absolutely necessary to love (and not be indifferent) good and its Source - the Holy Trinity in Christ, and for this it is absolutely necessary to hate evil, and not be indifferent to it...
One who has fallen to the bottom of Gehenna (who has fully known bitter evil from his own experience) has much more incentive to repent (to want to leave it) at the Last Judgment and through the prayers of the Church before Him than one who remains at its upper levels...

Indifference is cured by constant repentance in it, feasible exercise in determination in general and in courage in particular, as well as diligent life according to all the commandments of Christ, which increases a person in kindness/love and decreases in malice/hatred...

CHRIST IS RISEN!

Do the sanctions that the West is constantly strengthening affect people in the arts? The other day, for example, the Americans did not give a visa to the Bolshoi Theater ballet. Do actors and artists feel restrictions in their work?

The restrictions are felt, the master confirmed. - We are starting, for example, in France some kind of project with Russia. We come to the bank, and they may say: “We don’t want to work with you, because Russian money will be used for payment, and they are under suspicion.” And today there are many such moments that burden life. But the point is not in these annoying little things. What hurts me the most is that our fine arts are not well known abroad. They know the icons, “Malyevich”, “Kandinsky”, and that’s where it all ends. The original Alexander Tyshler, Alexander Labas, and many other representatives of the avant-garde are “terra incognita” for them. Even the 18th century, the magnificent Rokotov and Argunov, are unknown.

What are we doing wrong?

- But you said that we ourselves are to blame for this. What was done wrong?

We don’t exhibit our masters, we don’t value them, we don’t know how to present them with dignity. But the West can. Recently an exhibition of Alexander Deineka was organized in Rome. The success was dizzying, despite criticism of the school of socialist realism to which he belonged. And today we have a lot of young talents who have nowhere to show themselves.

In one of your books, you wrote that humanity not only “ruins” talents and does not give people the opportunity to open up, but also destroys the entire Earth. So we are destroying our own home?

I constantly wonder what modern man is like. And I come to a disappointing conclusion: along with reason and progress, it combines a lot of stupid and base things. How else can we explain that we treat the planet where we live so barbarically? We blow things up with bombs, we finish them off with risky experiments, chemical threats, and exorbitant greed. We are turning the amazing world given to us from above into purgatory, and if we don’t stop, we can end up in hell. It seems to me that it is time for the church today to create new prayer books, where we must ask God for forgiveness for spitting on his gift and kicking the womb of Mother Nature with a dirty shoe.

Who holds a candle like a shot glass?

More than once, despite the ranks and titles of your opponents, you entered into discussions with those who did not spare history for the sake of profit. Why do you think ancient buildings are being destroyed in the city today?

Daniil Granin, with whom I had the honor of being friends, wrote that Leningrad did not suffer as much during the siege as from the rash actions of the authorities, the new Russians. Now this is not to such an extent, but it continues. I watch with bitterness how multi-storey monsters are rising not far from the Aurora, crippling the panorama of the city. People with money don’t see anything wrong if several new buildings appear in the center. They preach only the cult of green bills and yellow coins. And they atone for sins by building their own doll cathedrals. Officials are in the same league with them. I never cease to be amazed how such civil servants, in order to be closer to the people, go to church on Easter, hold a candle like a stack, and look at each other, not knowing which shoulder to place the cross on. Everything has gone so far that it’s time to pray for the preservation of the face of our cities and historical places. Of course, there are businessmen who have earned millions and want to invest them in restoration, healthcare, and education. My foundation, for example, has 16 educational programs, which one of the banks helps implement. But there are few such examples.

Mikhail, let me ask about something personal. This year your only daughter Dorothea, a talented artist, passed away. What was she like in life and work?

A wonderful, but sick and unhappy person. She suffered from a severe form of alcoholism, which women are almost unable to fight. We have lost a great master with his unique inner world, I say this not only as a father. She had five solo exhibitions. The first took place in New York, when Dorothea was not even 16. Fifty works were sold out in the first five days. She succeeded in many things. She illustrated books, developed jewelry designs, and then mastered the craft of a mason and began to build houses... Now we are preparing a book of her drawings for Camus’s novels and Mamleev’s stories. It is unnatural for parents to bury their children, and I understand the tragedy of those affected. Unfortunately, this is not uncommon today. There are too many wars, “hot spots” where young people die. It shouldn't be this way.
Why have we forgotten the connection between generations?

- You have a monument dedicated to the vices of adults, where one of the worst is indifference. Why is that?

Because from it all others are born. Traces of indifference are visible everywhere. Soon May 9, Victory Day, and the screen will be full of programs about the defenders of the homeland. And I was struck by a story from the outback, where it was about a 90-year-old veteran. He went through the war, covered in orders and medals, but lives in a hut that looks like a barracks. “You can’t do that,” the elderly man says with a trembling voice. In response, officials report that according to the standards, there is enough space, the law has not been violated, which means that a new apartment is not required. This is what I call indifference. Apparently, we won't be getting rid of it any time soon.

- On May 4 you turn 75 years old. You have already said that you will spend this day in St. Petersburg and, most likely, in work.

I didn’t prepare for the anniversary, it just coincided that we had been negotiating with the Museum of Modern Art for five years and finally agreed on the exhibition. Also in St. Petersburg these days the exhibition “Before Expulsion” opened. Leningrad. The sixties." Her fate is dramatic. When I was expelled from the country, I was not allowed to take a single painting with me. Now they have begun to collect what was lost. As a result, 50 paintings were found in private collections, but I am sure that many more works from this period are kept as family heirlooms. An exhibition “The Bandaged Figure in Art” is also planned for May-June, where about 600 images will be presented - from mummies to icons. Of course, I will be in Russia these days. And although sometimes I feel like a stranger here, I really love my unkind but native country and its people. I hope these feelings are mutual.

One of the lowest crimes against a person is not passionate hatred, but indifference. It is this that is the main component of inhumanity. George Bernard Shaw

Hatred and love for a person can be hidden, but indifference immediately catches the eye.

Feelings of hatred are not difficult to hide. Love, if you try, may also not be noticed. But the indifference is evident to everyone. Karl Ludwig Berne

Often a huge and incomprehensible universe lives in a person’s soul. But most people around them simply don’t notice this.

Indifference to oneself is the main ethical tragedy of man.

Love and hate often live side by side, changing places. But if indifference sets in, then there is not a single chance of salvation.

There are people on Earth who are indifferent to everything that happens in their country, in their city, in their home. They represent the greatest danger to society. Mikhail Evgrafovich Saltykov-Shchedrin

All people are different - this is no secret to anyone. Both positive and negative aspects of character can coexist in one personality. Now I would like to talk about what human vices exist.

What is vice?

First of all, you need to define the concepts. So, what are human vices and virtues? They must be considered together, because they are a reflection of each other, different sides of the same coin. These are the negative and positive aspects that manifest themselves in his deeds and actions. These character traits not only shape the life of one person, but also influence those around them, and therefore can significantly change the lives of loved ones, both in a positive direction - virtues, and negatively - vices.

About the sculptures

If you want to take a closer look at all the vices of humanity, it is worth going to Moscow and visiting the It was there, in 2001, that a series of monuments dedicated to the negative aspects of human character were unveiled. This composition is called “Children - Victims of the Vices of Adults.” Two children play hide and seek while they are surrounded by 13 three-meter tall sculptures with heads of fish or animals. As the author Mikhail Shemyakin said, this was done on purpose, because human vices are usually depicted in exaggerated images. The monuments are located in strict order. Among them one can find theft, prostitution, drug addiction, ignorance, alcoholism, pseudoscience, sadism, indifference, propaganda of violence, war and poverty. One monument is for the memoryless.

Indifference

If a person is asked to identify the main vices of a person, for example, five, he will think about it. And it’s worth saying that no one will have a single answer. After all, choice is an individual matter. For some, one vice will be the most terrible, while others will treat it condescendingly. However, a huge number of people agree that the first and most important vice is still indifference. This is a lack of empathy for one’s own kind, i.e., people and all other representatives of the living world. It is this trait that is inherent in most murderers and rapists; it gives rise to unrest, permissiveness and impunity.

Deceit

The next human vice is deceit. Which, by the way, is often considered almost a virtue today. After all, you can earn, for example, a lot of money in the modern world only by deception. However, it is worth saying that a deceitful person never cares about the feelings of others; he is characterized by a devil-may-care attitude. “If you lie once, you will lie a second time” - everyone should remember this saying.

Corruption

This is a perfectly disguised human vice that is not so easy to recognize. It often manifests itself in special life situations when it is necessary to provide protection and rear support. Do you agree that it is most terrible in wartime?

Animality

This vice characterizes people who live exclusively for themselves, satisfying all their “animal”, primary needs. They are often stupid and ignorant.

Greed

Another very terrible human vice is greed. This can be either simple hoarding or a thirst for accumulating wealth, a desire to own as many valuables and material goods as possible. Such people never share anything, and the feeling of generosity is simply alien to them.

Hypocrisy

The next vice of a person, which, by the way, is sometimes very difficult to recognize. in each situation they choose a position that is convenient for themselves in order to extract the maximum benefit. Such persons put on a “mask” in order to look better in the eyes of the “right” people than they really are.

Envy

The next human vice is envy. It often manifests itself in hostility and dislike towards a certain person who has reached great heights. Someone else's well-being overshadows the envious person's mind and leads him into a constant state of dissatisfaction with himself and his wealth.

Cruelty

A terrible vice that is inherent in rapists, murderers and other criminals. It is expressed in the desire or need to cause pain to all living beings (not only people, but also animals). They cause pain not only physically, for example, beatings, but also psychologically - sometimes moral pressure is much more difficult to bear... If the object of cruelty feels bad, the tormentor experiences satisfaction and some semblance of joy.

Malice

When considering human vices, one should not ignore anger. Some people are angry with everyone and everything, they are irritable, often use foul language and are rude.

Cunning

The next vice is cunning (today it is also viewed by some people in a positive sense). This means that a person can be so cunning and cunning that he gets the maximum benefit for himself, often to the detriment of others.

Selfishness

A certain overestimation of the importance of one’s own person in comparison with others. It can be expressed in a disdainful attitude towards other people and their interests.

Impudence

Another human vice that manifests itself in disrespect and contempt for the interlocutor. May be accompanied by rude gestures and abusive speech. This behavior is typical of types who feel impunity and superiority.

Vanity

This is a person’s desire to attract attention in any way, even through negative behavior. Such characters love to hear laudatory speeches addressed to them and want to climb onto the pedestal during their lifetime. Empty braggarts often behave this way.

Opposites

It is worth saying that all of these are acquired vices. A person is born a tabula rasa - a blank slate on which the immediate environment (parents and society) write their, as they say today, reviews. In adulthood, a person can get rid of all his vices and turn them into virtues. Thus, indifference is answered by sympathy, deceitfulness by honesty, venality by loyalty, greed by generosity, hypocrisy by sincerity, envy by joy, cruelty by tenderness, anger by kindness, cunning by straightforwardness, selfishness by dedication, arrogance by compliance, and vanity by modesty. . But working on yourself is one of the most difficult...

The evil of society: indifference and indifference
How often does a person think about the meaning of life: how, where and why he was born? Is he a creation of God or, as science claims, a product of evolution. Studying the processes of the emergence of life on Earth, seeing significant differences between himself and animals, a person tries to understand and even impose on others what he cannot comprehend.

Desires and consequences

Everyone wants to live under a peaceful sky, so that no outside force can disrupt or destroy anything in our lives. Humanity stands up for safety and at the same time violates basic rules of environmental protection. Intervention in natural processes - deforestation, drainage of swamps, changing the direction of river flow - has led to the threat of global environmental disasters.

Evil is an everyday occurrence

In the pursuit of material wealth, people continue to destroy and destroy nature, polluting the environment, oppressing our smaller brothers, killing each other for the sake of profit or in the quest for power to rise to a higher level in society.

The worst thing about all this is that nothing changes over the years. Evil is progressing exponentially. New parties and groups are emerging that promote violence, nationalism, and terrorism. Membership in these organizations, especially if they operate with government support, promises a number of privileges. Those who do not share the opinion of such a “majority” are deprived of the most necessary things - work, housing, social benefits and guarantees.

Such manifestations of evil have become commonplace. Therefore, we will always live next to those for whom evil is a familiar way of life. We are all made of flesh and blood, we breathe the same air, we live under the same sky. Why are our thoughts and actions so different? Why do some inhabitants of the planet choose goodness as the meaning of life, while the values of others consist of negative opinions, actions, and attitudes towards others? Evil is so ingrained and entrenched in the subconscious of individuals that they consider all actions taken, even those aimed at destroying their own kind, to be correct.

Indifference is the main vice of society

Due to the violation of moral guidelines and values, modern society is decaying. Next to us there are drug addicts, prostitutes, and homeless people. How can they return to normal life if there are so many indifferent people around, busy only with their own problems and not noticing anything around them? How to help a criminal who has returned from prison to a society that does not accept him? What hope do those who have lost their homes and cannot find a way out of this situation?

Indifference is the main vice that kills the last hope of such “scum” of society. How can an inveterate nationalist living surrounded by those who support his views renounce his beliefs? The fate of this man is completely sealed.

We all live in a society of our own kind. That is why a person comes to terms with what is happening around him. He unconsciously justifies the actions of those who violate the laws of society or its moral aspects. In his subconscious, he behaves in a similar way, but is afraid to demonstrate it.

Reviving a Healthy Society

The revival of a healthy society consisting of those who do not notice the pain and suffering of others around them is impossible. A society of narrow-minded people will never become healthy. Only where the interests of sensible people who do not want to live in evil unite is its spiritual transformation and rebirth possible.

Look around! Give a helping hand to those in need! Resist evil and its consequences! Start the process of transforming society with yourself - and you will see how wonderful life is!
