Electricity meters Mercury 200 connection diagram, technical specifications Mercury 200

The Mercury 200 electricity meter displays on the LCD indicator:

  • number of the current tariff;
  • the value of energy consumed from the beginning of operation for each tariff and the amount for all tariffs in the form of 6 decimal places and 2 decimal places after;
  • current value of active power in the load in kW;
  • current values of current and voltage;
  • the value of energy consumed from the start of operation on the first day of the current and each of the previous 11 months for each tariff and the amount for all tariffs;
  • time of switching tariff zones;
  • current time and date;
  • PLC modem address;
  • modem signal strength icon;

Electricity meter Mercury 200 with PLC-modem provides programming and reading using a computer through the communication interface of the following parameters:

  • individual address;
  • group address;
  • tariff schedule and holiday schedule:
  • current time (hours, minutes, seconds);
  • dates (day, month, year);
  • a flag for allowing the transition from "summer" time to "winter" time and vice versa;
  • load power reading;
  • time correction enable flag by counter buttons;
  • gear ratio of pulse output; exchange rate;
  • permission of cyclic indication and its management;
  • the number of tariffs in force;
  • power limit;
  • energy limit per month.

A meter with a PLC modem provides programming and transmits information about the consumed electricity on an accrual basis from the moment the meter is put into operation at the current tariff at the time of the survey.

The meter performs the load control function.

The load is controlled by a pulse output (pins 10, 11) by switching to the appropriate mode by command of the CAN interface (RS-485) or PLC modem. The load is controlled by an actuator, the state of which is determined by the state of the pulse output. The load is disconnected - the state of contacts 10, 11 is "closed", the load is connected - the state of contacts 10, 11 is "open" The accuracy of the watch with the power off and in the operating temperature range does not exceed ± 5 s / day. The active and apparent power consumed by the meter voltage circuit at rated voltage, normal temperature and rated frequency does not exceed 2 W and 10 V?A, respectively. In a meter with a PLC modem, the active and apparent power does not exceed 3 W and 30 V?A, respectively. The total power consumed by the current circuit of the meter at base current, rated frequency and normal temperature does not exceed 2.5 V?A.

The meter begins to function normally no later than 5 s after the rated voltage is applied to its terminals. Lack of self-propelled. In the absence of current in the series circuit and the voltage value equal to 1.15Unom, the test output of the meter does not create more than one pulse during a time equal to 4.4 minutes and 3.5 minutes for meters of accuracy class 1 and 2, respectively. The meter withstands short-term overloads with a current exceeding 30 times the maximum current with a permissible deviation from 0% to minus 10% during one half-cycle at the rated frequency. In this case, the change in the meter error at a current equal to Ib and a power factor equal to unity does not exceed ±1.5%. The meter is resistant to dips and short-term voltage interruptions.

Insulation between all connected current and voltage circuits on the one hand, "ground" and auxiliary circuits connected together on the other hand, with the meter case and terminal cover closed, withstands for 1 min the impact of AC voltage, value 4 kV (rms value) frequency 45-65 Hz. The insulation between the interconnected serial and parallel electrical circuits of the meter and the "ground" withstands tenfold exposure to the impulse voltage of one and then the other polarity with a peak value of 6 kV. The established maximum operating temperature range is from minus 40 to plus 55 °С. The limiting range of storage and transportation is from minus 45 to plus 70 °С. The average service life of the meter before overhaul is 30 years.

The mercury 200 meter is used to record and calculate electrical energy in single-phase AC networks - 220 V. The electric meter is used autonomously, it can also be included in the ASKUE circuit. It is used in civil engineering, at production facilities, in agriculture. At the moment, two modifications are used: Mercury - 200.02 and - 200.04, the latter is equipped with a PLC modem.

  2. Forcibly switching tariff data, write down all values by pressing the enter button.

If you have one tariff, then you do not need to click on the meter, the value of the consumed electricity will be immediately displayed on the scoreboard. From the resulting value, subtract the readings for the last month.

Wiring diagram

The installation of the Mercury 200 counter is carried out according to the scheme in a closed shield on a DIN rail.

Mercury - 200 is produced to this day. The cost of the device depends on its modification, starts from 1700 rubles.

In the distant past, there are those times when charging for electricity was carried out on the basis of the power of lighting equipment and other electrical equipment located in the room. Currently, the presence of an electrical energy meter is a prerequisite for connecting the consumer to the general power supply networks. Modern electricity meters allow you to accurately determine the amount of electricity consumed and calculate the fee for its use.

But sometimes these reliable devices completely fail and must be replaced. In this case, you need to connect a new device that registers the amount of consumed kWh of electricity. Replacing an electric meter is not a very difficult operation, but if you do not understand anything in electrical engineering, then contact an electrician to avoid irreparable mistakes. In the event that you still decide to install an electric meter with your own hands, then you should choose a reliable device and carefully study the connection diagram of the device in the electrical panel.

The most popular electricity metering devices on the market are devices from Incotex. These include single-phase electricity meters Mercury 201 and three-phase Mercury 230. They have high accuracy, reliability, overload resistance, low power consumption and long service life. In this article, we will consider the following questions: the connection diagram for the Mercury meter, both single-phase and three-phase, and also how to connect the Mercury 201 meter.

Attention! Single-phase electricity meters of the Mercury brand are an excellent replacement for completely obsolete, both morally and technologically, electricity meters with rotating disks.

Mercury meter connection diagram

The single-phase electric meter Mercury 201 is a metering device that controls the consumption of electricity "modulo". Such a connection means that the installation of the device in a network with any current polarity will not affect its operation in any way. If during installation the output and input are reversed or the phase is connected to neutral, this will not lead to catastrophic consequences and the electric meter will still take into account the amount of electricity consumed. But still, the manufacturer strongly recommends that the Mercury 201 meter be installed in accordance with the standard connection diagram. This circuit is quite simple and easy to understand by the user with minimal knowledge in the field of electrical engineering.

The connection diagram of a three-phase electric meter Mercury 230 is also quite simple, only the number of connected contacts increases, and the principle is the same as with the Mercury 201 meter. True, for three-phase devices there are two connection options: direct and semi-indirect through current transformers. Connection through current transformers is carried out at a load value of more than 60 kW. Let's consider both options separately.

We examined the connection diagrams for Mercury 201 and Mercury 230 meters. This information is the main one, according to which these meters should be installed in the switchboard. The installation of electricity meters from the Mercury company must be carried out in compliance with the requirements of regulatory documents and the manufacturer. Using the example of connecting the Mercury 201 counter, we will consider this process in detail.

Installation of an electric meter Mercury 201

The connection of the Mercury 201 meter in the electrical panel is carried out according to the diagram discussed above or printed in the technical documentation attached to the device. The installation of the electric meter in the switchboard is carried out on a DIN rail using a special mounting plate, but we will consider this process without reference to the switchboard. As a sample, let's take a metering device with a mechanical indicator of the amount of electricity consumed.

The standard Mercury 201 meter connection diagram is located on the inside of the device cover, which closes the device contacts.

The whole process of connecting an electric meter comes down to a few simple steps, which will be described below.

As we can see, installing an electric meter in an electrical network is a very simple operation that you can do yourself. But it should be noted that if you were able to install the Mercury 201 meter with your own hands, then after that you need to invite a representative of the electricity supplier to check the quality of the installation of the meter and seal it.

Important! Before proceeding with the installation of an electric meter of the Mercury series, it is necessary to de-energize the network by turning off the input machines, plugs or other switching devices.

Conclusion

In this article, we examined the connection diagrams of Mercury electric meters in a visual form. The question of the installation site, methods of mounting the device and other features of connecting metering devices was not considered, since this is a topic for another article!

Instruction

Remember the type of fare you are using. The most common ones are single and double. The first do not change during the day. And for calculations, the entire amount of energy consumed is multiplied by the installed cost of kWh. In the second case, accounting is carried out separately in the daytime and at night. Each period has its own electricity price.

Take readings from the liquid crystal display without pressing any buttons. Before you is the amount of energy consumed for the entire time the meter has been operating at this rate. The internal tariff number for the meter is expressed by the display on the left side of the screen. The number is preceded by the letter T: T1, T2, T3, T4. If you have one-bet, then you do not need to read anything else.

Subtract the data for the previous month from the readings taken. Multiply them by the cost of kWh and you will get the amount of electricity payment for this month.

Press the "Enter" button to find out the amount of electricity consumed for other types of tariffs. After the third press, if the meter is set to the maximum number of tariffs, the screen will show the total amount of electricity consumed. That is, you do not need to write off readings in all intermediate positions, just press the required number of times on the bottom button.

Press the top "O" button to find out the power of the load connected to. On the right will appear -
"kW", and on the left is the current tariff. Press this button again to change the time. To make adjustments, select the "Enter" button. Each press increases the time by 1 minute. It is impossible to make an amendment for more than half an hour.

Press the "O" button a third time to check the date of the reading. If you press the “Enter” button again in this position, then you will see data on the consumed electricity for the last month. That is, with this you do not need to look into previous payments. The device itself will give out all the necessary information.

  • Instructions for using the counter "Mercury-200"
  • taking readings from the electricity meter

Three-phase electric meters are designed to account for electricity consumed in a three-phase industrial network at a voltage of 3X380 V. Their main function is to control and account for legal electricity consumption.

Instruction

Define the counter type. The modern industry produces a variety of models of three-phase meters, with which you can measure electricity consumption in several directions at the same time and even at several rates. Basically, two types of meters are used - induction and electronic. Despite the use of more advanced technologies in electronic meters, their share compared to induction meters is relatively small. This is explained by the fact that they were installed everywhere until the mid-90s and their validity period has not yet expired.

According to established practice, meter readings can be taken by both a representative of the electricity supplier company and the owner of the meter. Examine the counter. If it displays a three-digit indicator of electricity, then this means that a full revolution of the counting mechanism corresponds to 1000 kW / h. For a four-digit meter, this figure will be 10,000 kW / h. Upon reaching the values on them, respectively, 999 and 9999 kW / h, the readings are reset, and a new report begins. When taking readings from such meters, be sure to consider their features.

When determining the amount of electricity consumed, the difference in the readings for the previous period and the last readings should be used. In other words, subtract the value recorded the previous time from the value of the last reading, so you get the value of the flow for a certain period.

To convert the result into money, multiply the difference in kilowatt-hours by the current tariff. A situation may arise when you need to take readings when replacing counters, for example, from three-digit to four-digit. In such a situation, calculate the last readings of the old counter, and then sum them up, after some time, with the readings of the new counter.

Even in old residential buildings, mechanical electricity meters are often replaced with electronic Mercury 200 brands. At the same time, at first, residents often experience difficulties in taking readings from such meters.

Instruction

Without pressing any buttons on the meter, read from its indicator the readings corresponding to the current tariff (that is, the tariff that is valid in the part of the day in which the reading is carried out).

Find out which tariff is valid for the current part of the day by the icon located on the indicator to the left of the readings. It consists of the letter T and a number corresponding to the fare number (from 1 to 4).

To find out the meter readings corresponding to other tariffs, press the lower button until the one you want to read the readings for is selected. They will be selected cyclically (from the first to the last, then the total readings, then again the first tariff). Total tariffs can be, depending on the type of device, from 2 to 4. When displaying the total readings for all tariffs, the “Amount” icon is displayed.

Using the Mercury 200 counter, you can simply and quickly find out the total power of all loads connected to it at the moment, without tedious counting of revolutions or flashes. To do this, briefly press the top button - you will see this parameter on the indicator.

The meter can automatically calculate for you the amount of electricity consumed from the first day of the previous month to the first day of the current month, eliminating the need for you to subtract. To do this, while in the power display mode, press the top button again - the time will be displayed. The next time you press it, the date will be displayed. Finally, the next press will display the energy consumed for the specified period at the first tariff. Subsequent presses will cause the meter to display the consumed energy for the same period at the remaining tariffs, and then - the total energy consumed.

Being in the mode of displaying the energy consumed for the previous month at a particular tariff, press the bottom key, and you will see the same figure for the month preceding the previous one. By subsequent pressings, you can view the history of readings for the next eleven months.

note

Never illuminate the meter with an open flame.

Do not touch the busbars and bare wires inside the shield.

Do not attempt to hack and rewind the counter.

Advice 4: How to take readings from a three-tariff electric meter

Multi-tariff electricity meters are being installed in many new homes today. Yes, and in old houses, they can be introduced in the course of major repairs. The most common of them are electronic counters of the Mercury-200 brand.
