Original roofing and designer roofs: Press frukt. How to make a press for squeezing juice from fruits, berries and vegetables yourself or a homemade juicer with your own hands. Technologies and drawings of homemade presses and juicers with visual illustrations

There are various press designs for juicing... The main home-made structures are screw or jack-based. Not a bad option when using a pneumatic jack or rubber bladder and compressor. There are options for using the centrifuge, for example an old washing machine. A press or juicer must not crush seeds or ridges in the pulp. Depending on the estimated volumes of processing of raw materials for juice or wine, select the design of the device for juicing you like. In any case, the cooking process is divided into two stages: 1. Pulp preparation (raw material grinding); 2. Actually pressing itself - getting juice.

Screw structures for juicing press

Typically, a press consists of a push mechanism, basket, base and press board. The basket serves as a receptacle for the pulp and is installed on the base of the press. There is also a tray for juice dripping. The bottom and side walls of the basket are lined with a whole piece of burlap without gaps. The ends of the fabric should hang over the edges of the basket. Then the pulp is loaded into the basket and covered with burlap ends. A wooden circle is placed on top, on which the press head is lowered.

Design screw press for juice clear from the figures. Here's an example of another homemade juice press. The press consists of two rack-pipes with a diameter of 22 mm. A U-shaped profile bent from 3 mm steel is welded to the top of the pipes. The height of the profile is chosen in such a way that the screw nut, pressed into the steel sleeve, is freely located inside. A clamp is welded to each post from below. With the help of these two clamps, the press is attached to the windowsill. A head with a hole for a handle is welded to the screw, on one side, and a stop is attached to the other, which compresses the raw material.

1 - clamp; 2 - stand pipe; 3 - crossbar; 4 - screw; 5 - emphasis; 6 - table; 7 - bushing with pressed-in nut.

To collect the squeezed juice, a leaky 3-4 liter enamel pan is suitable (Fig. A). It is necessary to drill a hole in the bottom and fix a fitting with a hose for collecting juice in it.
The basket (fig. B) is made of 2 mm thick stainless steel sheet, from above and below it are welded to it bandages-rings made of stainless wire with a diameter of 4 mm. The rings allow the basket to "evenly" fit inside the pot. The sides of the pan are perforated with a 3 mm drill (in no particular order).

The spacers (Fig. C), which separate the portions of the raw material loaded into the basket, consist of two 2-mm stainless steel disks connected by means of spot welding. Holes were drilled in the discs with a drill with a diameter of 3 mm; gaskets with a thickness of 4 mm are provided between the discs (gaskets are also made of stainless steel). In general, all parts of the screw press are made of stainless steel; a tank from an old washing machine is quite suitable.

For a good harvest - as well as growing strawberries at home. The work on squeezing the juice is as follows. The body of the press is fixed with clamps on the windowsill in the kitchen (you can also install the press on the table). The screw with the stop is unscrewed to the very stop. A basket is placed in a pan, and a gasket is placed on the bottom of the latter and a napkin made of durable fabric is placed on it. Next, crushed raw materials (apples, fruits, herbs, berries) in an amount of 0.5 ... 1 kg are placed on a napkin. The napkin is folded with an envelope, the portion is covered with a drainage pad, on which the next napkin is placed. There should be 3 such packages, while the upper package can rise above the pan by 4 ... 6 cm. Putting a gasket on the upper package, the pan is placed under the press screw. Yes, I completely forgot to say about the spacer (a circle made of wood), which is placed under the basket (otherwise the pan may become unusable when the screw is tightened). While creating pressure, the screw must be turned slowly and smoothly, keeping an eye on the juice outlet. Having finished squeezing the juice, the screw is unscrewed up, the pan is transferred to the table, the cake is removed from the napkins. Depending on the type and quality of raw materials, in one cycle, using a homemade screw press for squeezing juice, it is possible to squeeze 1.2 ... 1.8 liters of juice, and in 1 hour - up to 12 ... 15 liters.

Wedge press for squeezing juice from fruits

It is necessary to arrange wooden goats on four legs B 1 m high.At the top, these legs are connected by a thick (9-10 cm) board A, which is 30 cm wide and about 1 m long.In the board we make a longitudinal slot D 10-12 cm wide and long 40 cm. In this slot we insert two boards B (thickness 9-10 cm), hewn from above and below. In the lower part, we tie both boards with an iron brace or, even easier, with a thick rope. In order for the boards to hold and not fall into the slot, we skip iron pins or wooden bushings in their upper part. Then we make several wedges of different thicknesses from hardwood, and the press is ready. It works like this: pushing the boards B apart, we insert a bag of strong canvas between them, filled with pulp. Then, hammering wedges into the slot, squeeze the boards. Thus, the pulp is strongly compressed. The juice flows down into a substituted tub or pot.

Making a simple juicer using the lever principle

We take two birch boards, the length of the main board is 1 m, width - 300 mm, thickness - 100 mm. The second board, which serves as a lever, is 1.5 m long, 170 mm wide and 20 mm thick. In the main board, we make grooves for the drainage of juice (Fig.a) with a depth of 10-15 mm and a length of 300 mm. We strengthen this board obliquely either on separate racks, or on a special table. To it, using a hinge and a spacer board, we attach a second lever board (Fig. B). We got a lever press. We put 4-5 apples or any other fruit in the opening, press the lever, and the juice flows down the grooves into the container.

In conclusion, examples the most simple devices for squeezing juice not requiring a description. For Home Winemakers - A Guide to Making Homemade Grape Wine

The end of summer, the beginning of autumn is the time to harvest fruits, vegetables, apples, grapes. And if the harvest is large, then an ordinary electric juicer will not cope. In this case, a fruit press is needed for giving. Now there are a lot of offers on the network for various presses and crushers, hydraulic, screw, pneumatic, wooden, but the biggest disadvantage of these products is the high price. It is not difficult to make a juice press with your own hands on your own; you need a little skills of a locksmith, a welder. And the cost of a home-made press for grapes or apples is several times lower than the purchased one.

For the winemaker, such a device will facilitate his work and save a lot of time. The simplest version of a home press-juicer is based on squeezing juice from the pulp of fruits or vegetables. The apples are preliminarily crushed by special crushers, a grape crusher is used, and then the juice is squeezed out of this mass. With this technology, pure juice comes out without pulp, ready for fermentation, or for pasteurization and further storage.

Simple DIY grape press

The screw press for grapes consists of: base - frame, basket, pressing device (shaft or jack), pressing piston. Other options for manufacturing the device are also possible. When choosing a material, it is not necessary to follow the description exactly, and you can make your own drawings of the Persian.

Tools and materials for the press:

  • Welding machine;
  • Drill;
  • Bulgarian;
  • Tank - 50 liters;
  • Metal channel 10-12 mm - 150 mm;
  • Metal corner 40-50 mm - 3200 mm;
  • Oak slats 40x25x400 mm - 50 pcs;
  • Fabric - 1 sq. M;
  • Jack - 1 piece;
  • Crane - 1 piece;
  • Line 2 mm - 3 m.

How to make a juice press

1.Frame. The base is one of the most important elements of the press, the frame must be a very strong structure, it bears the entire load during operation. The side parts of the press are made of metal corners 85 mm high. The upper and lower parts of the frame must be made of a 70 cm long channel; you can additionally strengthen the structure by welding gussets between the corners and the channel. All parts are welded at all points of contact.
If a screw press design is used, then a nut for the screw must be welded to the upper channel. In addition to the metal frame, you can use wooden boards with a thickness of 5 centimeters or more. Boards are fastened with pins 10-12 mm and tightened with nuts. It is easier to make a wooden press, but the structure does not withstand heavy loads; for a small harvest, it is quite a suitable option. The finished frame must be sanded and painted with a special metal paint.

2. Press tank. This design uses a 50 liter stainless steel brew tank. A hole was drilled in the lower part of the boiler tank and a stainless steel tap was installed. Instead of a tank, you can use a regular saucepan of a suitable size.
A lattice made of oak slats is inserted into the container. The workpieces are cut from oak boards (you can use a parquet board), their height is equal to the height of the pan. Along the edges at the ends of the rails, holes of 2-3 mm are drilled through them a fishing line or stainless wire is passed. By connecting all the boards, you get a kind of basket.
There should be a gap of 2-3 mm between the slats, through which the fruit juice will ooze. You can do without a pan altogether by connecting the boards with galvanized steel hoops and placing the basket on a pallet into which the squeezed liquid will drain.
A plastic tray from a large flower pot or a stainless kitchen sink can be used as a pallet. There is a design where the grape press is made with a frame, there is no basket in it, the cake is placed in the fabric between the drainage grates in several layers and crushed.

3. The piston. The piston for the press must be made from the remaining oak planks, folding them cross to cross, using a compass, draw a circle of the desired size and cut with an electric jigsaw. Twist the slats with stainless steel screws or tie them with copper, stainless wire. If the farm has a log, then you can saw off a circle of the required diameter and height.

4. Power mechanism. The apple press uses a jack or a screw as a push mechanism. In the device for squeezing juice, a hydraulic car jack with a lifting capacity of 3 tons will be enough. For more confident work, you can use jacks creating an effort equal to more than 3 tons. The screw for the press is more difficult to find, and every motorist has a jack. Under the jack, you need to saw the planks for laying during the spin cycle.

5. Cloth for filtration. To filter juice from apple fruits, you need a strong fabric that can pass moisture. The easiest option is to take a nylon sugar bag. Also, nylon, lavsan, propylene, polyester are suitable for filtration, or use a durable HB material, dense linen, so as not to break under pressure.

So, the manual fruit press is ready, how to squeeze the juice? Insert the basket into the tank, place the material for filtration inside. Soft fruits, berries, citrus fruits are crushed without preliminary processing. Apples, carrots or other hard fruits must be chopped on a grinder or pulp from a juicer, loaded into a basket, covered with a lid.

Install the jack, substitute the receiving container, open the tap and slowly push. Do not try to squeeze out all the juice right away, you can damage the frame or the fabric will tear. Make three or four rolls, wait a while, then another three or four rolls, and so on. 3-4 liters of pure juice comes out of one bucket of apple cake from a juicer, a little more output from the crushed mass.

Processing the harvest of berries and fruits is one of the most important tasks that have to be solved not only by farmers, but also by owners of personal plots. One of the technical devices that greatly facilitate this process is a juice press, which allows you to quickly and without significant physical effort turn fruits and berries into tasty and vitamin-rich juice. There is a wide variety of such devices on the modern market, but those home craftsmen who want to save money on their purchase may well make such a press with their own hands.

Principle of operation and types

All presses for squeezing juice from various berries and fruits can be divided into four main types:

  • mechanical devices;
  • hydraulic presses;
  • electro-hydraulic models;
  • devices of the pneumatic type.

The most common, due to its low cost and simplicity of its design, is a manual mechanical press. One of the main elements of its design is a perforated basket, into which crushed fruits (pulp) are placed or berries are poured into to squeeze juice. Fruits and berries are squeezed out in such a device using a piston, the lowering of which (and the creation of the required pressure) is carried out by rotating the handle, which drives the screw mechanism of the press. The juice formed during the pressure of the piston flows through the holes in the basket into a special tray, from where it is then poured into another container.

Stainless steel sheet or hardwood (eg beech) can be used to make the basket into which the raw materials are loaded for juicing. In the second case, the design of such a basket is a drainage grid, consisting of two equal parts connected by metal hoops.

A modernized and, accordingly, more efficient version of the manual device is the hydraulic press, which can be used to extract juice from apples and berries. Instead of a perforated container, this press uses several drainage frames made of hardwood. The crushed raw material, from which it is necessary to obtain juice, is placed in fabric bags and placed between such frames, on which significant pressure is exerted from above (1–5 tons), created by a manual hydraulic jack. Using such a squeezing mechanism, you can get up to 70% of the juice from the total mass of the processed crop.

The hydraulic press does not necessarily involve the use of a jack as a mechanism to create the required pressure. So, in one of the designs of such presses, an elastic membrane barrel is used as this mechanism, expanding under the influence of water supplied to it under a pressure of 1.5–2 atm from a conventional water supply network. Expanding, such a press membrane acts on fruits and berries placed in a perforated basket, squeezing out the juice from them, which flows through the holes in the walls of the basket into the storage tray.

A pneumatic press for juicing also works according to the principle described above. The only difference is that the expansion of the barrel-membrane, also present in its structure, does not occur under the influence of the water filling it, but under the pressure of compressed air supplied from the compressor.

Since certain types of raw materials from which it is necessary to squeeze the juice are loaded into the presses in a crushed form, it is imperative to mention the devices that help bring it to this state. The design of the simplest shredder is a steel drum, the walls of which are made in the form of a grater. Such a drum, which converts the raw materials loaded into it into small crumbs, is placed in a casing with a loading neck. This simple and effective mechanism is powered by the rotation of a special crank. There are also more efficient and efficient models of such units, driven by an electric motor.

If we talk about the productivity of mechanical presses for squeezing juice, then it is rather low and can be in the range of 10–30 l / h. However, this performance is quite sufficient for devices used for domestic purposes.

In order to increase the percentage of juice yield from squeezed fruits and berries, as well as improve its quality, two methods are used:

  • the raw materials are loaded into the presses in fabric bags that act as filters;
  • squeezing out the juice is carried out by means of drainage grates made of wood, or by means of "pancakes" made of stainless steel.

The use of drainage grates or "pancakes" ensures that juice is squeezed out not only from the top and bottom, but also from the middle part of the volume being compressed. The bags, as mentioned above, act as filters and allow you to immediately clear the squeezed juice from the pulp.

In cases where the productivity of a hand press for obtaining juice is not enough, devices with an electric drive are used. The electric drive can be seen in the screw press for juicing and in screw-type units operating on the principle of a conventional meat grinder. In the first case, the press drive is a pair of "electric motor - hydraulic jack".

In screw presses, structurally reminiscent of a conventional meat grinder, the drive motor is directly connected to the working body - the auger. Such a press is used for pressing grapes, it is also an excellent press for fruits, berries and juice from tomatoes. It works according to the following principle: the loaded raw material is crushed by means of a screw and squeezed through a sieve that has a conical shape. This shape of the sieve allows not only high-quality squeezing of juice, but also beat off the seeds. It should be borne in mind that grape or any other juice obtained from such a press is distinguished by a large amount of pulp.

Prices for serial models of juicing presses depend on several factors:

  • the volume of the loading basket;
  • device type;
  • material of manufacture;
  • press productivity for juice received per unit of time.

The cheapest, naturally, will cost a home press of a small capacity, working on a screw principle. The cost of a hydraulic juicer is slightly higher. Next in the price category is a press juicer for processing apples and other raw materials, operating using compressed air. The most expensive of those on the market today are membrane-type hydraulic presses.

DIY juice presses

It is quite possible to make a press for juice with your own hands, the main thing is to find work schemes and drawings of such homemade products, which will not be difficult. Many of those home craftsmen who already have experience in making such equipment are happy to share photos of their devices and even videos showing the process of their manufacture and the principle of operation in all details.

Most often, they strive to make screw-type presses with their own hands. Meanwhile, it should be borne in mind that it will not work to make a powerful screw for such a device without the involvement of a qualified turner. It can be made without third-party specialists if you replace the screw mechanism with a conventional jack (mechanical or hydraulic), which is in the arsenal of every motorist.

The main supporting element of the hand-made juice press is the frame. Particular attention should be paid to its strength. To make such a frame, against which the jack will rest and create the required pressure, you can use a square metal pipe with a section of 40x40 and a wall thickness of at least 3 mm. When calculating the height of the frame of your homemade press, you should take into account the total thickness of the drainage grates, linings and bags of raw materials, as well as the height of the jack. The width of the frame can be chosen arbitrarily - the main thing is that a storage tray for collecting the squeezed juice is placed in the opening being created.

When creating a do-it-yourself press for apples or grapes, you should pay special attention to its stability. To effectively solve this problem, three pieces of square pipe can be welded to the bottom of the frame, which will serve as legs and ensure the stability of the unit. On the upper part of the legs, a stand made of boards or wood board is laid, on which the pallet will be placed.

Drainage grates, complete with which your apple, grape or any other press will work, should be made only of hardwood (oak or beech). The thickness of the planks from which such gratings will be made must be at least 20 mm.

The press basket is made of oak planks (you can buy parquet boards), tightened with corners with small gaps and fixed with stainless screws.

The bags into which the apple pulp or other raw materials for squeezing juice will be placed can be made from various fabrics (the main thing is that such a fabric is highly durable and the bags that are sewn from it do not burst under the influence of high pressure created by a jack). As such fabrics, in particular, ordinary burlap, jute, cotton and linen fabrics, chintz and synthetic materials can be used.

After the summer struggle for the harvest comes the autumn harvest struggle. A juice press is a device that can greatly simplify this task. It is used both in summer cottages and for industrial purposes. Has several configuration options. You can even create a simple device with your own hands. In different regions of Russia, it is most often used in the collection of apples, grapes, carrots, and other vegetables and fruits.

How a juicing press works

The device has a mechanical control type. Comprises:

  1. Baskets for loading vegetables or fruits. Depending on the model, it can be made of metal, wood.
  2. Press. He drops into the basket and squeezes its contents.
  3. The filter through which the squeezed product passes, leaving pulp, bones, etc. in it. Sometimes it is made of burlap and wooden gratings.
  4. A pallet where the finished product flows out. It is made from different materials, up to plastic.

If the juice press is operated manually, it takes a lot of effort to extract the juice. Especially when it comes to vegetables, herbaceous plants or hard fruits (). Therefore, it is better not to consider it as a gift to a woman. Only if a small volume is required for use in the kitchen.

How the device works:

  1. Before starting work, the products from which it is planned to make juice are cut into small pieces (or crushed).
  2. They are placed in a basket, distributed evenly over the entire plane (in some devices, a special filter bag is used).
  3. Gradually, a press is lowered onto the basket, which squeezes the contents.
  4. The drink is cleaned by passing through the filters and into the drip tray.

This principle is called the cold-pressed method.

The press does not heat the food, thereby preserving all the nutrients that were laid down by nature.

Advantages and disadvantages

What are the advantages of this type of product processing:

  • all vitamins and minerals are retained;
  • the minimum amount of waste is only 5%;
  • does not make noise when used;
  • simple design, easy to repair in case of breakage;
  • long-term work without resource consumption;
  • is inexpensive;
  • can be easily carried from place to place.

Minuses:

  • if the volume of products is large, then it will take a lot of effort and time to spin;
  • you have to deal with the preliminary processing of vegetables and fruits (for small models, in addition to cutting, you also need to peel the fruits and remove the seeds);
  • a lot of juice from one portion of the product does not work.

Before choosing, you need to decide on the criteria by which you need to evaluate the device.

Control types of juicing presses

Manual presses require direct human participation in the spinning process. Automatic devices start to operate after pressing a button. The latter include hydraulic or pneumatic presses. Their purpose is to process a large amount of products, they are used most often on farms where a large harvest is collected or in production workshops.

For an ordinary suburban area, an automatic juice press is not suitable, since there is no large volume and the cost of the apparatus is above average (about 500,000 rubles).

Types of presses

They differ in the type of mechanism and the nuances of the assembly of the device. Mechanically controlled presses have a small production volume, up to 30 liters per hour. The units are simple, you can make it yourself. Well suited for use at home and in the country. The main structural element is a steel frame. It holds the device in place during operation.

Manual screw press

This device is the simplest and most convenient. The screw press for juice squeezing has an elementary structure: it is set in motion by means of a screw. Under its influence, the piston is lowered. Such units are inexpensive. The only negative is that they sometimes require considerable physical strength.

Hand press models are calculated for about 2.5 liters of vegetables or fruits.

Jack press for juicing

They are easier to operate than screw. Fix the device on the floor, set it in motion with a jack. Physically, this is much easier than tightening a screw. It can be used in the country, right on the street. A jack press costs about 15,000 rubles and can produce up to 3 liters of juice per full load.

Pneumatic press

Works in automatic mode. It is set in motion by the action of compressed air, which is created by the compressor. It is advisable to use it on large farms, farms or on several sites. Able to process a large amount of vegetables and fruits. Its price is approximately 80-90000.

The pneumatic press produces up to 14 liters of finished juice per 1 cycle.

Hydraulic

Looks like a metal basket with holes. Inside there is a rubber bag into which water is supplied under pressure. The bag fills and presses on the raw materials that are in the basket. The juice flows out through the holes into the lower reservoir.

There are mechanical, automatic and electrical models. The device is set in motion by the pressure of the liquid on the piston. And it is created using controls.

There are two types of hydraulic juicing presses:

Due to the complex structure of the hydraulic press, its price is above average. In private households it is used less often than screw.

Juice Belt Press

Used in factory production. Fully automatic, it performs all functions independently. The machine is powered by electricity and produces directly squeezed juice.

Combined

Here the screw and jack are tried on together. Initially, juice is produced using a screw mechanism. After it, the rest is squeezed with a jack. Effective in small garden areas, handy and easy to use.

Differences in the type of raw materials

In most cases, juicing presses are universal. You can squeeze any fruits and vegetables in them. Some models are based on the creation of oil.

The special press is only suitable for a certain type of raw material. For example, it is only used for citrus fruits or berries. It is not recommended for solid products.

Before loading the raw material into any type of press, it must be crushed. Otherwise, the device will be damaged. For these purposes, a crusher is used.

How to choose a juice press

For a home, for a small company, a press with a volume of 3-5 liters is enough. There are special small devices with which you can make 1-2 glasses of juice. For giving, when you need to roll up several cans of juice, use a screw or hydraulic press with a volume of 10-12 liters.

If there is a large garden, wine is produced or the press is used for apples on a large farm, you need to take a volume of up to 30 liters. Automatic or semi-automatic control. Small industrial production will require the ability to squeeze out up to 200 liters of juice per hour. A pneumatic juice press or an electric belt press is ideal.

The tougher the raw materials, the more powerful the unit will be required. A screw press can be used for apple and grape juice, but processing will take a long time. The hydraulic device will give more juice than the screw.

To grind fruits and vegetables, special devices are used - grinders. Any press can process whole fruits and vegetables, but the quality will be much worse, so this is not recommended.
