How to cook with photos step by step

Take a small ladle with a thick bottom and pour granulated sugar into it.

Then pour milk or cream (fat content 10%).

Pour the poppy seeds into a sieve, rinse under the tap with cold water, and transfer to a ladle with milk and sugar.
Place the ladle on the stove and bring the mixture to a boil over low heat. Turn the heat to low and cook for 20 minutes. By the end of cooking, almost all the milk will boil away, the mass will become black and thick.

Place the boiled mixture on a plate and spread it in an even layer so that it cools quickly.

Take two rectangular sheets of puff pastry measuring approximately 25x14 centimeters and roll them out to a thickness of 3 millimeters.

Separate half of the poppy seed filling, place it on a sheet, spread it so that on one edge there is a strip about a centimeter wide free from the filling.

Raise the edge, roll up the free roll, and also roll up the second roll. The dough should not be rolled tightly; it “grows” during baking, so you need to leave room for growth.

Place a sheet of parchment on a baking sheet and place the rolls on it. Using a sharp knife, make oblique cuts along the entire length. Mix the raw egg with a fork. Take a brush and brush the top with beaten egg to make the baked goods golden. I think you'll like this one too
