Selection and justification of the topic During technology lessons, I learned the rules for setting the table for breakfast and learned how to fold napkins beautifully. On Sunday, I decided to surprise my parents and set the table beautifully for breakfast. The great Russian scientist I.P. Pavlov said that “normal food is food with appetite, food with pleasure.” This is achieved by an environment that creates a good mood and beautiful table settings.

5 slide

What is table setting and why is it needed? Setting a table means preparing it for eating. The main purpose of table setting is to create a certain order on the table and provide everyone with the necessary items. The order of table setting is not the whim of this or that housewife, it has been developed over the years, dictated by hygiene requirements and the need to provide those seated at the table with the greatest convenience. Any table should be a unique ensemble, in which there should be nothing superfluous. The festive mood is made up of little things: a beautifully set table, a bouquet of flowers, an originally decorated dish

6 slide

Rules of behavior at the table General rules of behavior or etiquette at the table are the minimum that every cultured person should know. Do not put your elbows on the table Sit straight, without rocking on the chair Chew with your mouth closed, do not slurp Do not blow on hot food Everything that is eaten with a spoon is eaten away from you, the plate is tilted away from you Do not eat with a spoon what you eat with a fork, you eat soft food only with a fork, without a knife. The fork is held in the left hand, the knife in the right. Hot meat is not cut immediately, but cut off piece by piece. General rules of behavior or table etiquette are the minimum that every cultured person should know. - When sitting at a table, you should only rest your wrist on its edge. Women are allowed to rest their elbow on the table for a short period of time. - You cannot roll bread balls, play with cutlery, play with a glass, roll the edge of the tablecloth into a tube, stretch your legs to the full length under the table, and perform other similar actions. - When eating, you should not spread your elbows and bow your head low over the plate. The head is only slightly tilted and a fork or spoon is brought to this height. Blowing on hot food and drinks, “slurping”, and slurping is not encouraged. - If you drink any drink with food, first swallow what is in your mouth. Beforehand, it is advisable to wipe your lips with a napkin to avoid traces of greasy stains on the glass.

7 slide

Rules for table setting Plates and cutlery are selected depending on the menu. There are dishes that are eaten only with a fork, in which case it is placed to the right of the plate with the teeth up. If they eat with a fork and knife, the knife is on the right with the blade facing the plate, the fork is placed to the left of the plate.

8 slide

Table setting rules If space on the table allows, place a pie plate to the left of the plate. Plates and cutlery are placed at a distance of 2 cm from the edge of the table. The centers of the pie and main plates are on the same line

The problem of need.

I've never cooked breakfast in the morning. Because there is not enough time. And suddenly I had time to make breakfast for the whole family.

Do you need breakfast?

The importance of breakfast
Translated from English, the word breakfast means “to break the fast.” Depending on when the last meal took place, the body can fast (“fast”) from 8 to 12 hours. This period is significantly longer if breakfast is skipped.

During fasting, for example during sleep, the level of glucose in the blood decreases. Hormones and glycogen released by the liver help maintain normal glucose levels. After fasting for 12-15 hours, glycogen reserves in the body are significantly depleted. Food eaten at breakfast helps replenish these reserves and prepare the body for the stress of the coming day.

Breakfast Regularity Trends
According to data collected by medical experts, regular breakfast consumption has decreased by 11% over the past 15 years; approximately 25% of adults in America rarely or never eat breakfast. According to the same data, people over 65 years of age eat breakfast twice as often as those over 30 years of age. Also, people with high incomes and those with higher education ate breakfast more regularly. Interestingly, no significant difference was found between urban residents and rural residents on this indicator.

Table setting.

A pleasant breakfast with your family will put you in a good mood for the whole day. A dinner sitting at a beautifully decorated table, when all family members exchange impressions and news of the day, will be a good end to the day.

When setting the table for breakfast, in addition to the appetizer plate, a cup or glass is served on a saucer, which is placed on the right, near the tip of the knife. The handle of the cup and the spoon on the saucer should be on the right, so it will be more convenient to use.

If the menu includes soft-boiled or bagged eggs, they are served in a special wooden, plastic or porcelain stand on a small saucer (plate), which is placed on a snack plate. For eggs, they also serve a small teaspoon (preferably a plastic one, since any metal that comes into contact with the white of the egg acquires an unpleasant odor).

Morning breakfast should be hearty. All family members benefit from porridge (oatmeal, buckwheat, millet), which gives a feeling of fullness until lunch. The porridge is served in a deep half-portioned plate, which is placed on the snack bar. It comes with a dessert (less than a tablespoon) spoon (it can be wooden).

Hot drinks for breakfast include coffee, coffee with milk, cocoa, and tea.

In the middle of the table or on the side, but at hand for those having breakfast, place a teapot or coffee pot (including if the drink was not poured into cups), as well as a basket with buns and bread, butter, a bowl of honey or jam, a sugar bowl and a salt shaker.

Coffee cannot be served in cups without a saucer. A spoon and bread are placed on it.

A tea or coffee cup with a saucer and a corresponding spoon is placed on the right side, under the right hand (the handles of the cup and spoon should be facing to the right). The milk jug or cream jug is placed on a small plate (to protect the tablecloth from possible drops) in the center of the table in the same way as bread, spices and sugar, but it is better to the right of the one who plays the role of the eldest at the table, then it will be easier for him to care for family members .

A simple set of several napkins (under the cutlery, on a plate with bread) and insulation (for a teapot, coffee pot, plate with hot boiled eggs) decorates the table and gives it a special coziness. This set is made of one material, preferably in a cage.

Nowadays it is common to use paper napkins. It is inexpensive, practical and especially convenient in the morning hours of the whole week, except Sunday. A family breakfast on Sunday or a holiday, when the whole family gathers around the table, should differ in table decoration from everyday breakfast. On such days, it is necessary to teach children to use napkins, cutlery, and proper table manners. Older children can be involved in setting the table at home, so that in the future they will constantly perform this simple duty.

Soda 1 tsp. (cancelled)

Sour cream 500 g (I take 700-800 g)

Sugar 1 cup

Vanillin - to taste

Butter 300 g

1. First, prepare the cream. Mix sour cream with sugar and vanillin (or vanilla sugar), once the sugar dissolves, add melted butter, mix everything well.

Set aside and prepare the dough. Beat the eggs with sugar until smooth, add slaked soda and flour, mix (I mixed everything in a food processor with a dough whisk). The dough is ready.

2. Place the dough on a baking sheet with a small spoon and bake for 5 minutes at t = 220 ° C until golden brown.

3. While the cakes are still hot, I remove them from the baking sheet and immediately throw them into the cream, where they float while I spread the next batch of dough. We remove the soaked cakes from the cream and place them on a plate in the form of a slide. This time I lined a deep plate with film and put it in it, sprinkled walnuts between the layers, but this is already a gag of mosking, there is no such thing in the recipe

4. After I baked everything, soaked it and laid it out, left it in the refrigerator for 3 hours, then turned it over onto a dish, our miracle plate, and got this preparation

5. My diameter is 30 cm, and the height in the center is 8 cm.

We decorate according to your wishes, mood and other parameters. I poured melted chocolate over it, they didn’t let me do anything else, so I left it as is.

Bon appetit!

How to eat plums

Plums and apricots are divided in half by hand, the pits are removed and the fruits are placed in the mouth with your hands. Small plums can be eaten like cherries.

How to eat oranges and tangerines correctly

Tangerines and oranges are cut into 4-6 pieces with a knife so that only the skin is cut without touching the flesh. Then they lay out asterisk and carefully separate the pieces.

How to eat grapefruit correctly

The grapefruit must first be cut into two parts, and then scrape out the pulp and juice with a spoon, being careful not to splash it on your neighbors. You can sprinkle the cut grapefruit with powdered sugar.

1. Introduction

1.1 Tablecloths and napkins

Cooking deliciously and beautifully decorating this or that dish is not enough. The way the table is set is of great importance. The word "serving" comes from the French server, which means "to serve".

Table setting is one of the main elements of the room and is of great importance for creating a good mood. The main requirements for table setting: simplicity, elegance, practicality, matching it with the interior of the room. The appearance of the set table is appetizing. The tablecloth must be in immaculate condition. It can be anything, but the main requirement for it is freshness. A beautiful tablecloth is a sign of sophistication and taste. Don't forget about napkins. They are one of the most striking elements of table decor. Napkins made in the same style as the tablecloth will decorate any table, give it a festive look, and emphasize the significance of the event.

Tablecloths and napkins appeared in Europe in the 15th century. But for a long time they wiped their mouth and hands with the edge of the tablecloth. For Russia, the time for napkins came after the reform of Peter I at the beginning of the 18th century. The word “napkin” came to us from the Germans, who borrowed it from the Italian language. Napkin – a square-shaped towel used at the table

1.2 Problem

Since I am the winner of the city Olympiad in technology, I received an invitation to the regional Olympiad. I need to design and produce a set of products for table setting. I had a question: “What products should I make?” After leafing through many magazines and books, after consulting with my mother and teacher, I chose a tablecloth and napkins (See photo 1). I have always wanted to decorate the kitchen interior with some product that I would make myself. Once I was watching a program on TV about the traditions of tea drinking in Rus' and saw a very beautiful thing: a teapot warmer in the shape of a raspberry. The idea of making such a heating pad seemed very tempting to me, and I decided to do it myself. A painting with an appetizing plot will decorate the kitchen interior.

1.3 Purpose

    Develop and implement the project.

    Protect the project.

1.4 Objectives

    Learn to create patterns on fabric using a stencil.

    Select the required fabric.

    Strengthen knowledge and skills in making various seams.

    Make products.

    Improve your sewing machine skills.

    Gain a foundation of knowledge that prepares you to master the art of housekeeping.

1.5 Planned result

Products should be beautiful, practical, bright, colorful. The painting and the teapot warmer should be in harmony with all the surrounding objects, match the interior, and create coziness. Warmer – match the size of the selected kettle.

2. Main part

      Product selection

I decided on the shape of the tablecloth and napkins right away. But I thought for a long time about how to decorate them. I had several options:

    use embroidery;

    apply the application;

    create patterns on fabric using a stencil.

I chose the last option. The gardening season has ended. The crop is grown and harvested. I decided to make a “harvest” tablecloth and napkins, a teapot warmer in the shape of a raspberry and a painting “Delicious plot”. Such products are suitable for a festive table outside the city in the fresh air.

2.2 Materials used

    Tablecloth (linen) fabric;

    Cotton fabric;

    Crepe satin;

    The braid is white;

    Sequin braid;

  • Sintepon.

2.3 Tools and accessories

    Sewing machine;

  • Tailor's chalk;

  • Tailor's pins;

    Hand needles;

  • PVA glue;

    Stencils;

  • Ironing board;

    Thimble;

    Tape measure;

  • Steamer.

2.4 Product manufacturing technology

The tablecloth and napkins are made using the batik technique 1. The birthplace of batik is considered to be the island of Java in Indonesia, where to this day clothes made from hand-painted fabrics are very popular. The most common type of fabric painting is cold and hot batik. In Europe, this type of fabric embellishment was common in the 19th century. It is very interesting to create patterns on fabric using a stencil. Apply fruit motifs to paper. Each motif consists of several details: fruit, stalk, leaf. Prepare a separate stencil for each fruit.

1 Batik – batik is an Indonesian word. The word part –tik – means “dot” or “drop” in all Indonesian languages; -ba – cotton fabric. Batik is a general name for various methods of hand-painting fabric.

Technological sequence for making a tablecloth

Equipment, tools and supplies

Cut out 13 squares with a side of 30 cm from checkered tablecloth fabric. Cut out 12 squares with a side of 30 cm from white cotton fabric.

Tailor's chalk, measuring tape, scissors, ruler

Make fruit stencils on squares of white fabric. To fix the paint, add PVA glue to the gouache. Place the stencil on the fabric and fix it in the desired position. Dip the foam rubber into paint of the desired color, apply it to the fabric using a stencil, especially thickly along the edges, to create a clear outline of the part. To achieve the effect, paints can be applied one on top of the other. (See photo 2).

Stencils, foam rubber, gouache, PVA glue, tailor's pins

Allow the drawings to dry. To fix the paint, iron the fabric from the wrong side

Iron, ironing board

Stitch the finished panels together in a checkerboard pattern. Sew seam allowances together. Iron towards the tartan fabric

Sewing machine, overlog, tailor's pins, scissors, iron, ironing board

Trim the edges of the tablecloth and edge them with braid. (See photo 3)

Sewing machine, iron, ironing board, scissors

Placemats can be used instead of a tablecloth. If the table is made of valuable wood, or it is an old table in a rustic style with a beautiful tabletop, then they try not to cover their surface and lay out napkins to protect it. Recently, it has become fashionable to place napkins under plates on top of the tablecloth.

Sequence of work

Made of checkered and white fabric, 6 squares each with a side of 30 cm.

Measuring tape, ruler, tailor's chalk, scissors

Make fruit stencils on squares of white fabric (See the technological sequence of making a tablecloth)

Gouache, PVA glue, stencils, foam rubber, tailor's needles

Cut a hole in the squares of checkered fabric according to the size of the fruit.

Scissors, tailor's chalk

Fold the checkered and white squares right sides inward. Grind. Turn it right side out through the hole, sweep out the edging, and iron.

Sewing machine, iron, ironing board, tailor's needles, thread, hand needle

Treat the hole with bindweed braid (See photo4)

Sequence of work

Equipment, tools, devices

Sew two flaps: the bottom one is blue, the top one is crimson. Iron the seam. Place the base on the padding polyester and secure with temporary stitches around the perimeter.

Sewing machine, iron, ironing board, hand needle, thread

Using the pattern, cut out the details of the vase from white fabric and padding polyester. Bowl – 1 piece, legs – 2 pieces

Scissors, tailor's pins, tailor's chalk, patterns

Fold the parts right side inward, stitch, leaving a free section 3-4 cm long. To prevent the fabric from pulling, make shallow notches in the corners of the scallops. Turn out the parts through the unstitched area, sweep out the piping and iron. To emphasize the volume, you need to stitch the rays from the center to the corners of the scallops

Sewing machine, iron, ironing board, scissors, hand needle, thread

First sew the leg piece with the scalloped edge to the base using a hidden seam. Place the second part of the leg on it so that the raw edge is hidden, and sew with hidden stitches. Then sew on the bowl, leaving the scalloped edge free.

Hand needle, thread, scissors, tailor's needles

Now fill the vase with fruit. Cut out fruits from paper: pears, apples, plums, leaves. Cut from fabric and padding polyester. Place the pieces on top of each other, fold them to the wrong side and baste

Fruit patterns, scissors, tailor's pins, hand needle, thread, tailor's chalk

Pin the prepared fruit to the base with pins, then sew with hidden stitches

Tailor's pins, needle, thread, scissors

Fill the remaining space in the vase with grapes. From fabric of different colors, cut out the required number of round parts Ø 3 - 5 cm. Baste the edge of each part, put a piece of padding polyester in the middle, pull the thread tightly and secure with a knot

Scissors, needle, thread, chalk

Place the finished balls tightly together to form a cluster. Sew to base

Needle, thread, scissors

Make cherries in the same way. Decorate twigs from soutache

Needle, thread, scissors

Stretch the base onto a sheet of hardboard and enclose it in a pre-prepared frame (See photo 5)

Hammer, nails

An unusual warmer for a teapot in the shape of a raspberry. The heating pad consists of separate blocks - ottomans. Each ottoman has three layers: The top layer is the main fabric; bottom layer – lining fabric; between them there is padding polyester.

Standard safety instructions for working with an iron

    Before connecting the iron to the mains, you need to check the insulation of the cord and the position of the iron on the stand.

    Turn the iron on and off with dry hands.

    Place the iron on an asbestos, marble or ceramic stand.

    Make sure the iron is working properly and report any problems to your teacher.

    Make sure that the sole of the iron does not touch the cord.

    Unplug the iron using the plug only.

    In rooms with concrete floors, be sure to stand on a rubber mat while ironing.

Prohibited

    Allow the iron to fall.

    Twisting of the wire to form loops and knots.

    Iron overheating.

    Cool an overheated iron by immersing it in water or using a spray bottle.

    Place the iron on the electrical cord.

    Work with a faulty iron and repair the iron and electrical wiring yourself.

    Check the heating of the iron with your finger.

Typical safety instructions for working with fabric

When working with needles and pins

    Sew with a thimble.

    Store needles and pins in a specific place (special box, pad, etc.), do not leave them on your work table.

Do not put needles or pins in your mouth under any circumstances.

    Do not use a rusty needle for sewing.

    It is prohibited to stick needles or pins into clothing.

    Do not throw away a broken needle, but put it in a specially designated box.

    Attach the patterns to the fabric with the sharp ends of the pins facing away from you.

When working with scissors

    Place the scissors with the blades closed away from the person working.

    When passing scissors, hold them by the closed blades.

    Store scissors in a specific place - in a stand or work box.

Safety rules and sanitary requirements

when working on a sewing machine

    Do not use the sewing machine without the teacher's permission.

    Pick up hair, roll up sleeves, remove accessories and jewelry.

    Remove all foreign objects from the sewing machine platform.

    Do not operate the sewing machine without fabric and with the presser foot down.

    Before working, check the fabric for pins and needles.

    Sit down at the sewing machine with clean hands.

    Sit straight behind the machine, on the entire surface of the chair, slightly tilting your head and body forward. Do not lean close to moving parts of the machine.

    The light should fall on the work surface from the left side or from the front.

    Your feet should be on the pedal, with your right foot slightly ahead of your left.

    During work, your hands should lie on the machine platform (on the product), the right one in front of the left, under the machine sleeve.

    The distance between the worker and the table should be 10 -15 cm.

    The chair should be against the needle.

    The product should be located at a distance of 30 -40 cm from the eyes of the worker.

    Don't be distracted while working.

    After work, tidy up the sewing machine (put a piece of fabric under the presser foot and lower the presser foot).

    Correct posture has a positive effect on the student’s well-being and makes his work easier. Incorrect working posture causes rapid fatigue.

    On the desktop there should be only those tools that are necessary to perform a given operation, and strictly in a certain order.

Safety rules when using a sewing machine

with electric drive

    When working on a sewing machine with an electric drive, you must first of all follow the same rules as when working on a manually driven machine.

    Before work, check that the cord is in good condition.

    When turning the machine's electric motor on and off, grasp the plug body.

    Handle the ballast pedal carefully, especially when the electric motor is plugged in.

    Observe the same sanitary and hygienic requirements as when working on sewing machines with other types of drives.

    Pay special attention to the position of the arms, legs, body, as well as the correct lighting of the workplace.

2.6 Marketing research

In the modern business world, in the conditions of the development of market relations, it is implied that sewing should bring income and profit. Manufacturers must find out what people need for this product, and then, based on this knowledge, create a product that satisfies these needs as fully as possible.

Marketing research includes the following:

      analysis of potential consumers (divided by gender, age);

      analysis of opinions and motivations of consumers to improve the quality of products when planning production.

Having made the kit, I conducted marketing research among 9th grade students at school No. 3, acquaintances and relatives. A total of 16 questionnaires were completed. Their analysis showed the following results.

1. Age: 15 years – 1 person;

16 years old – 10 people;

18 years old – 1 person;

34 – 36 – 2 people;

52 – 56 – 2 people.

Gender: female – 15 people;

male – 1 person.

    Of all the potential buyers surveyed, there were 16 people, which was 100%.

    The most significant criteria when purchasing a kit were:

a) aesthetic appearance – 8 people (50%);

b) originality of the set – 10 people (62.5%);

c) practicality – 9 people (56.3%);

d) convenience – 4 people (25%);

e) quality of the completed product – 12 people (75%);

f) affordability – 1 person (6.3%).

4. The reasons for purchasing this product were as follows:

a) need for this product – 3 people (18.8%);

b) really liked the set – 12 people (75%);

c) the set complements your interior – 4 people (25%);

d) something else – 1 person (6.3%).

5. 15 people (93.7%) preferred that this set be made in a single copy.

1 person (6.3%) abstained.

6. Buyers, when making a purchase, preferred to buy:

a) an expensive, but high-quality and beautiful thing - 15 people (93.7%);

b) cheap - it doesn’t matter what it looks like, as long as it lasts a long time - 1 person (6.3%).

7. During the analysis, the following picture emerged:

Number of people

Conclusion: the survey results allow us to set the price at 1000 rubles, since there is demand from 8 people.

      Economic calculation

1. Material costs.

2. Electricity costs.

Electric machine power – 0.8 kW;

Sewing time on a sewing machine – 15 hours;

1 kW = 0.99 rub.

0.8 * 15 * 0.99 = 11.88 rub.

Overlock power – 0.8 kW;

Sewing time on an overlocker – 3 hours;

0.8 * 3 * 0.99 = 2.38 rub.

Electric power iron – 1 kW;

Operating time – 6 hours;

1 * 6 * 0.99 = 5.94 rub.

Total: 11.88 + 2.38 + 5.94 = 20.20 rubles.

Total costs for materials and electricity were:

M z = 784.50 + 20.20 = 804.70 rub.

According to calculations presented on the market of goods and services, we can conclude that handicraft production of things brings savings to the family budget. I believe that this design work is economically feasible.

2.8 Environmental safety

My products do not cause any environmental harm to nature or humans. Making products using a sewing machine is an environmentally friendly production:

    Virtually waste-free production, no emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere, soil, or water bodies;

    When working with the material, no harmful substances are released to the human body;

    Waste fabric can be used to make small napkins, handkerchiefs, potholders, etc.

I tried to perform certain operations safely for my health and those around me. Compliance with labor protection and safety rules is an indicator of culture and education.

3. Conclusion

3.1 Self-esteem

Any thing made with your own hands is not only the result of labor, but also the result of creativity. Our life will be more beautiful if we learn to do everything beautifully, taking into account design.

My products: tablecloth, napkins, tea warmer, painting - are especially dear to me. Having done a lot of work to make them, I had great pleasure. The products turned out to be beautiful, bright, stylish, and exclusive. Of course, in the process of doing the work, I faced many difficulties, but it seems to me that I coped with all of them.

I really like my job and I believe that all the tasks and goals that I set for myself have been accomplished.

      Application

All products will wonderfully decorate the interior of a room, living room, kitchen, dining room.

Appendix 2.To make it easier to work

When doing sewing or needlework, you spend a lot of time sitting in a tense position and get tired quickly. Most muscles in a sitting person experience constant static load. Blood circulation is impaired, performance decreases. First of all, when working at a desk, you need to try to choose the right posture, or change it from time to time. Which pose can be considered correct? If you work while sitting, be sure to lean on the back of the chair to ease the strain on your back muscles. The back of the chair should be at shoulder blade level. The height of the table should be such that the shoulder girdles are freely lowered and the torso does not lean forward.

How to relieve eye fatigue

1. Close your eyes for 10-15 seconds.

2. Look at the tip of your nose, look into the distance.

3. Apply light pressure with your fingertips to the eyeballs, then release.

4. With your eyes closed, make circular movements with your eyes to the right and left. Repeat several times.

once. Sit with your eyes closed for 10-15 seconds. Simply rotating them in different directions will relieve eye fatigue. It is useful to make a face in front of the mirror - it will lift your spirits and at the same time relax your eye muscles.
