Younger children will be more comfortable eating turkey meat in the form of mashed potatoes or soufflés.

For children, turkey meat is valuable because it does not cause allergies and is ideal in the ratio of proteins, fats and carbohydrates.

Steam turkey cutlets are not much different in cooking from or from, but still I invite you to my kitchen to find out how to cook them correctly so that they are suitable for children's and diet food.

How to cook turkey cutlets in a steamed multicooker for children - photo recipe:

1. Prepare all the ingredients for turkey cutlets: turkey fillet, a couple of slices of bread, onion, egg, milk and salt.

If the bulb is large, half will suffice.

2. Soak the bread in milk. Do not pour out all the milk at once, it is better to add it to the minced meat later if it is too thick.

3. Scroll the turkey fillet through a meat grinder. The grate in the meat grinder should be with small holes.

4. We also pass onions and bread soaked in milk through a meat grinder.

5. Add one egg and salt to a plate with minced meat.

6. Knead the minced meat. It should not be too runny in consistency. So that you can make meatballs out of it.

7. We make turkey cutlets small, because it will be more convenient for the child to eat them. But, of course, you can have any size you want.

8. Pour 1 liter of water into the multicooker pan and put the steam grate. Put all cutlets on the grill. I got them - 9 pcs. But the stuffing is still there. From it you can mold cutlets and send it to the freezer until the next time. Or make a second batch of steam turkey patties.

9. In the multicooker, set the "steam" mode. For small turkey cutlets, 40 minutes is enough. I have a Polaris 0517 ad multicooker, but almost all models have a steam mode (Redmond, Panasonic, Philips, etc.)

10. After 40 minutes, turkey cutlets in a steamed multicooker will be ready.

11. You can serve turkey cutlets to a child with boiled and fresh vegetables. Vegetables, by the way, can be thrown into empty places on the multicooker grate, 15 minutes before the cutlets are ready. And in the lower bowl you can weld in parallel.

Bon appetit!

Turkey cutlets for young children are a great solution for a tasty and healthy lunch. During the preparation of such a dish, it is necessary to take into account the characteristics of the child's body. How to cook delicious and healthy baby cutlets, we will tell right now.

Features and benefits of the dish

For the full development and nutrition of the child, it is necessary to eat meat. Meat products are rich not only in protein, but also in a variety of vitamins that help the baby to fully develop and strengthen his health. Turkey meat is very good for children. As a rule, it is recommended to introduce it into the diet of babies, starting from eight to nine months. To begin with, a small amount of meat puree from boiled meat is introduced as complementary foods. If the child's body responds well to a new product, then it is quite possible to introduce it into the daily menu.

The best option is to cook tender and healthy cutlets for the child. Of course, you need to cook them following special recipes, because a fried dish that adults are used to is not suitable for a one-year-old child.

It is worth noting that turkey meat is perfectly absorbed by the child's body. In addition to being a dietary product, such meat is recommended for children with anemia and low hemoglobin levels. In addition, turkey helps to establish metabolic processes in the child's body. Also, thanks to numerous vitamins and elements, the use of turkey meat helps to strengthen bone tissue, hair, nails, normalizes sleep and gives strength and vigor to the baby.

Remember that steamed patties are great for children 1 year old, 2 years old and older. Babies should be given exclusively freshly prepared meatballs. Try to give them in the morning so that the product eaten is better absorbed.

In order to prepare turkey cutlets for babies, the meat can be pre-boiled or cooked from raw minced meat.

As a rule, for children, such a dish is steamed, in a slow cooker, or baked in the oven.

Prepare cutlets exclusively from fresh meat. Make your own minced meat at home. To make the minced meat tender, pass the meat through a meat grinder several times or use a blender.

If you are preparing cutlets for children under one year old, then there should not be any spices in the minced meat, including salt. And you need to cook the dish only for a couple. After a year, children can slightly add salt to food, but remember that you need very little spice.

During the preparation of cutlets, if there is a need to slightly dilute the minced meat, then it is best to use vegetable broth. For older children, try to cook meatballs that contain healthy vegetables.

If the recipe contains eggs, then instead of chicken it is better to choose quail eggs. They do not cause allergic reactions and are considered more useful.

Delicious recipes

We will start with the simplest recipe that is suitable for children of any age. We take two hundred grams of minced meat and add a small piece of white bread there (only the crumb), which was previously soaked in boiled water. Knead the minced meat until smooth and add a little salt.

Remember that for children under one year old, it is better not to add salt to cutlets.

After - we form small meat balls and steam them for thirty to thirty-five minutes.

For older children, the following recipe is perfect. We take three hundred grams of minced meat and add one onion and one medium-sized carrot to it. Grind vegetables through a fine grater or chop in a blender. After - mix everything until smooth, add a little salt and beat the minced meat. After that, we form small cutlets and put them on a baking sheet, previously covered with baking paper. We cook exactly forty minutes in the oven at a temperature of 150 °.

If desired, the same cutlets can be steamed. Cutlets are very tender, juicy and tasty.

In the event that the child is already eating soups and other dishes with pieces of meat, then you can cook chopped turkey cutlets for lunch. We take three hundred grams of turkey breast and cut into small cubes. After that, we chop the entire resulting mass with a large knife, chopping the meat. Next, grind in a blender one small onion and one hundred grams of pumpkin. Add vegetables to minced meat, mix thoroughly, salt a little and beat one egg. Leave the mince to brew for twenty minutes. After that, we form small cutlets and put them on a baking sheet.

If you use foil instead of baking paper, then the taste of the finished dish will be brighter and richer.

Such cutlets are baked at a temperature of 150 ° for thirty-five to forty minutes.

The recipe for the next dish can be a complete lunch for the baby. The child will eat such cutlets with great pleasure, even a side dish will not be needed. We take four hundred grams of cooked minced meat and add exactly two hundred grams of potatoes to it. Potatoes must first be chopped with a fine grater or a blender. Next - add four quail eggs (or two chicken), a little salt and literally two tablespoons of semolina.

Mix everything thoroughly and leave the minced meat for ten minutes. During this time, the semolina will increase slightly in volume, and the cutlets will keep their shape better. We form cutlets of the required size and cook for a couple. It is quite possible to give such cutlets to children of two years, and older children can bake them in the oven and add some fresh herbs to the minced meat.

It is quite possible to cook for lunch not just cutlets, but a whole dish that includes vegetables, meat and cereals. Option 1: Classic turkey stew for kids

Turkey and a dish from it are often present in baby food. This is a very healthy product for a child, if it is prepared correctly. Of course, it is not entirely reasonable to give fried cutlets to a child for lunch or dinner. Heavy meals can cause serious harm to the baby's digestive system. Healthy cutlets can be stewed and even done just in a frying pan. Here is a simple recipe for tender meat balls that you can offer your child with vegetables or cereals to add to the soup.

Ingredients

  • 300 g turkey (fillet);
  • 40 g of onion;
  • 70 g of bread;
  • 1 egg;
  • 50 ml of milk;
  • 30 ml of water;
  • salt;
  • 2 tsp oils.

Step-by-step recipe for classic children's cutlets

We cut off the crust from the slices of bread, the very edge, break it into several pieces and pour over with milk. Let soak for ten minutes. Since there is little liquid, you can sometimes turn the pieces over to the other side so that they are well soaked.

We cut the onion, wash the turkey and also turn it into small pieces. We put everything together and twist it with a food processor. Or alternately pass through a meat grinder. If the dish is for a small child, then you can do this twice.

Add a couple of pinches of salt and one small egg. If this is not the case, then we divide the usual in half, you can use a couple of quail eggs in children's cutlets. Thoroughly mix the minced meat, sculpt cutlets.

Put a little oil in a frying pan, melt it and put the cutlets in one layer. After a minute, pour three tablespoons of water around the edge, cover and simmer until cooked for 25 minutes. If suddenly the lid is not tight and the water starts to boil away, then you can pour it. It is better to add boiling water. Can be stewed with milk or low-fat broth.

Remember that a turkey for baby food should be fresh or thawed only once. It is not allowed to take out and return the bird to the chamber several times. The result is a tasteless and nutrient-poor dish.

Option 2: Quick Recipe Turkey Cutlets for Kids (Steam)

Steamed dishes are not only healthy, but also fast enough, you don’t even need to keep a close eye on such cutlets. They will not burn, they will not fall apart, in any case they will turn out. We take ready-made minced turkey or we twist the bird ourselves in the specified amount.

Ingredients

  • 350 g minced meat;
  • 1 egg;
  • 2 slices of bread;
  • 1 onion;
  • 0.5 st. milk;
  • salt;
  • 2 tsp oils.

How to quickly cook baby turkey cutlets

We break the bread into slices and pour half a glass of milk, its temperature does not matter. Set aside the bowl and stir occasionally.

We chop the onion. If the turkey was chopped on its own, then the vegetable could also be twisted. We combine with minced meat, introduce an egg, salt, lay the soaked bread and mix everything thoroughly, achieving a uniform consistency of minced meat.

We make cutlets in small balls, the size is about 30-50 grams, you don’t need to do more. Transfer to a greased tray and steam. Ate minced breast, then 30 minutes is enough. If dark turkey meat was used, then increase the time to 40 minutes.

If the child loves carrots, bell peppers, then you can cut them a little and add them to the minced meat, the cutlets will be brighter, a different flavor will appear.

Option 3: Kids Turkey Cutlets with Rice

Hearty little turkey cutlets for children with the addition of cereals. Rice is most often used, as it has a neutral taste, goes well with poultry, vegetables. Minced meat is simply indicated in the ingredients, of course, it is better to cook it yourself. We take rice small or large, it is not so important. For stewing, you need vegetable broth, you can replace it with just boiled water.

Ingredients

  • 0.45 kg of minced turkey;
  • 50 grams of rice;
  • 50 grams of onion;
  • 1 egg;
  • 60 g sour cream;
  • 150 g vegetable broth;
  • salt.

How to cook

Rice needs to be cooked. First, we thoroughly wash it, then send it to a saucepan with water, pour an arbitrary amount, but not less than a glass. We cook the cereal until soft, then send it to a sieve or take a colander, leave to drain.

Peel and finely chop the onion, you can immediately pour it into a bowl with minced turkey. Add the egg, add the cooked rice. It is advisable to cool it down. If there is no time for this, then simply rinse with cold water and let it drain, it is convenient to do this with cereal in a sieve. We salt the mass.

We make absolutely any cutlets, but usually they make medium-sized balls of 50-70 grams. Place on a hot and greased skillet. The balls should be lightly set on the bottom, but not browned. After that, turn over to the second side.

Mix sour cream with vegetable broth, add a little salt. If the child normally perceives garlic or onions, then you can chop a little and add to the sauce. Pour over cutlets and simmer until soft. Some children are fine with greens, but in this case we introduce it at the end, when the dish is already ready.

If the child loves buckwheat, then you can cook such cutlets with it. If desired, instead of a frying pan, we lay out the formed products in a double boiler, bring to readiness, as in one of the recipes above.

Option 4: Turkey Cheese Cutlets for Kids

We choose high-quality and natural cheese, in which there are no chemical additives, flavors, fillers. Such turkey cutlets for children can be steamed or simply stewed in a frying pan with the addition of water (sour cream broth), but here is an option for the oven. The baked dish turns out to be very tasty, covered with a crust, but does not contain excess fat.

Ingredients

  • 0.4 kg turkey fillet;
  • 70 g of onion;
  • 70 g sour cream 15%;
  • 0.1 liters of whole milk;
  • three quail eggs;
  • 0.1 kg of hard cheese (Russian);
  • 30 g white bread.

Step by step recipe

Bread soaked in milk. We wash the turkey, cut into pieces, put in a food processor. We cut the onion into pieces. We fold after the turkey. Beat thoroughly several times, then introduce the softened pieces of bread. Beat until smooth, make a lush and homogeneous mass.

We rub the cheese finely. Add to minced turkey and immediately throw quail eggs. You can take one small chicken egg. Add two pinches of salt and stir. We make neat meatballs with our hands. They can be of any size, but the balls should be the same. Put in a small baking sheet.

We put the cutlets to bake for ten minutes, the temperature is 180 degrees. Look, we don't go far. As soon as a light crust begins to appear, remove the form from the oven. We cover each cutlet with sour cream, and the form with a piece of foil. Put in the oven for another twenty minutes.

While cooking cutlets in the oven, you can put a second form with vegetables next to it: carrots, zucchini, potatoes, broccoli or cauliflower, grease with sour cream and bake or do it under foil.

Option 5: Turkey Vegetable Cutlets for Kids

You can dilute minced turkey not only with cereals, but also with vegetables. This is also an option without bread. Sometimes grated potatoes or semolina are used instead, but here is a different recipe. Cutlets are very juicy, tender, vegetables do not crunch, give a pleasant taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 carrot;
  • 100 g zucchini;
  • 500 g turkey (fillet);
  • bulb;
  • egg;
  • salt;
  • 2-3 tsp oils.

How to cook

We rub the carrots, just cut the onion into small pieces. We spread the vegetables in a pan with two teaspoons of oil, pour in the same amount of water and simmer for ten minutes under the lid. Then we cool the vegetables. If a lot of juice has accumulated, then we evaporate the excess water.

There is time to grind minced meat. We rub a piece of zucchini into it, add an egg. Next, lay out the vegetables and salt. Mix the cutlet mass. If it is done in advance, then in no case do you need to salt. It is better to do this just before cooking, as the zucchini likes to release juice.

We send it to a double boiler on a pallet, cook for half an hour. Or we make cutlets, put them on a greased baking sheet, cover with a thin layer of sour cream and just bake in the oven.

You can not make a side dish for such cutlets, this is a completely self-sufficient dish, but if you wish, we offer the child fresh vegetables or a little boiled cereal (buckwheat, rice, wheat porridge).

Many nutritionists and pediatricians advise limiting fatty meats such as pork in the child's diet and replacing it with more nutritious and low-calorie turkey meat.

Compared to other species, turkey meat is simply teeming with iron, zinc and sodium, which normalizes metabolic processes in the child's body. In addition, turkey contains as much phosphorus as fish. Turkey is rich in vitamins A, B2, B6 and PP. From turkey, you can cook unusually tasty meatballs that will make children's lunch more dense and satisfying.
